Dipper placed the burning flash drive on the desk, away from Bill's book. He'd put it in his vest pocket when it wouldn't burn a hole through it. Mabel looked perturbed by the recent events.

"Dipper, do you think she was telling the truth? Do you think her new home is like being trapped in Mabeland for her? It looks like a colorful wonderland of amazing fun, but it's actually a nightmare?"

"Mabel, she'd say anything to stay with Soos. Besides, where would you rather I put her? Frogtime? Ghost Maze? At least in Fight Fighters she has Rumble."

Mabel still looked displeased, but struggling to come up with a solution, lapsed into an unhappy silence. Dipper sighed, .GIF had completely thrown off their exploration. But the sooner they moved on, the better for everyone. He looked around for anything to respark ideas, landing on McGucket's letter. How about "GOODNIGHT SALLY"?

…McGucket had the weirdest Bill Cipher merch, even when he was Fiddleford. He glanced at Mabel to see if she had anything to say, but her gaze was firmly planted on the candlestick in contemplation. Dipper eyed the melting wax, trying to figure out what caught her attention, as she pulled open her phone to her most recent photos, gasping in delight.

"Dip, it's the strange runes! See, right there!"

Intrigue gripped the twins as they deciphered the word, "CURSED". Upon typing it in, an old 80's pamphlet popped up. While amusingly out-of-touch with kids even back then, Dipper couldn't help the frustration at the constant brick wall Bill put up to their attempts at progress, even if Dipper wasn't certain what they were searching for. Well whatever, he'd return to working on related phrases.

"BLIND EYE"...and an eye chart. Real funny Bill. And of course none of this chart's writing matched any of the obvious ciphers.

"MYSTERY SHACK" offered up their current address and search suggestions for similar tourist traps.

"TOURIST TRAP"s pamphlet looked like one of Stan's ideas.

Dipper crunched on a cookie chip while he considered his next move. It was clear in all the time they spent down here, they've only scratched the surface. What are they ignoring if it isn't simple topics, names, or objects in the room? He mulled it over, watching the etched candle flicker, before his eyes widened.

CipherFontA? CipherFontB? Strange Runes? "THERAPRISM"?

Three nos, and then something new. A caution sign for eldritch beings, not something you see every day. Still no clue what this means.

"Maybe it's a jeweler with an emphasis on safety because monsters are always trying to steal their gems," guessed Mabel.

"Or it's yet another thing we have to wait to talk to Ford about," Dipper sighed.

At the name, the book vibrated like a phone getting a text, then glew a soft gold in waiting. Dipper and Mabel exchanged a silent stare. Dipper came to the quick conclusion the flash drive was safer in his pocket after all, heated or not, while Mabel reluctantly reached for the book. Mabel flipped it open with eyes squeezed shut, but slowly peeked open one then the other when nothing scary happened.

"Oh, it's those old destroyed journal pages of Ford's again. You know, the ones Bill tried to embarrass Grunkle Ford with to us all."

Flipping through them, it truly was all 40 pages as legitimate as before. Bill knew all they did was mock his attempts earlier, so why again? Unless…Bill was daring them to try inputting words from Ford's notes? He flipped back to the start, analyzing the pages slowly now. It took until page four for anything of value to be produced, "FORDTRAMARINE".

"It sucks most people don't believe in real science," lamented Dipper.

"I know! Fordtramarine looks so pretty too!"

"How do you-nope not even going to ask."

They pressed onward. Mabel was disappointed no words got Bill to cough up whatever happened on Ford's birthday, but Dipper was relieved. The implications Mabel giggled about earlier were things he refuses to imagine his beloved Grunkle engaging in with that demon, thank you very much. They skimmed through the Xmas pages before pausing at Ford's childhood photos.

"Hey Mabel, let's take a photo of this Bros Secret Code. Not a perfect guide, but might be useful."

"Way ahead of you," she said, phone camera flashing. "Hey didn't Grunkle Stan use some of this funky font in his note to future readers?"

"Good call," nodded Dipper, returning to their backpage letters. It took a minute or two to decipher, but produced an affectionate "LOVE YA BRO" the computer accepted.

"Woah Grunkle Stan flirted with a mermaid too? We have so much in common!"

Dipper was more concerned with the back of the digital postcard, whose paragraph of text would take quite a bit longer to work through. Though with the noise of the heavy rain outside, it's clear there was no hurry, few people could bother them right now. Mabel toyed with the prism on the table while she let her brother work. It was with a sense of accomplishment when he finally read it aloud and they could move on to the clear next sentence, "KINGS OF NEW JERSEY".

A download starting after dealing with .GIFfany wasn't the most welcome reward, but thankfully if obnoxiously, it was nothing more than the full Bros Code cheat sheet. Mabel photographed the full font, deleting the no-longer-necessary lesser photo.

"A bit lame to get this now after all that."

"Welll you can try your skills on this!," Mabel exclaimed, pushing the prism back towards Dipper, tapping on part of the glass.

Sure enough, so faint it could nearly be mistaken for a smudge, was the word "SORRY". This displayed the unripped photo from Fiddleford and an otherwise forgotten memory of their first day at college. Typing "UNIVERSE" or "HOLOGRAM" afterward led into a loop.

"I know we all laughed it off for Ford's sake earlier, but some of these pages are sad," noted Mabel, returning to the matching book page's torn photograph and running her finger down the split, "You don't think we'll lose our friends in the future too, do you Dipper?"

"We'll be fine. Bill destroyed their friendship. And our friends helped destroy him. Can't get a stronger bonding experience than that."

Dipper smiled comfortingly at Mabel. Mabel's return smile didn't meet her eyes.
