Chapter 11: Lights out

The next day, Freddy invited Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy over to his place to come up with plans on how to get into the 3rd building Buster was never able to get into. They brainstormed ideas on how Buster could get into there without potentially putting himself at risk. It was then Foxy had the bright idea of having the power in building being taken out before Buster were to go in there. Despite this, they needed to know if there was a breaker outside of there.

Chica went to drive by the building and check it out. There was indeed a power room behind the building, which ment that's where the breaker had to be. Luckily, there weren't any security cameras in the vicinity of where it was. This was immediately a good thing, so no one knows who turned off the power, if any security were to search back there.

When Chica came back and told her friends about what she saw, Freddy took out a giant piece of paper. He drew and wrote down the plan. And thanks to some pictures on the web, it would help in aiding on getting an idea on what the layout would be like. Aside from what Freddy and Foxy had for ideas, Bonnie and Chica threw in some ideas too. Before long, they had essentially finished planning.

Once Buster was avaliable and Fredbear wasn't busy, they went over Freddy's house to overlook the plans. "Looking at this is like studying that division math," said Fredbear, obviously not understanding it. As for Buster, he looked at the plans thoroughly. He then looked at his brother, Freddy, Chica, and Foxy. "Not bad," he smiled, "I'm actually REALLY surprised by this. So with that being said, let's get our asses down there after sunset!"

"Sounds like a plan!" said Bonnie. "Let's hope discoveries are made!" added Chica. "Look out gator, you've messed with the wrong captain and his crew!" Foxy announced. Freddy smiled with glee, thinking to himself on how this could potentially work out in their favor.

Fredbear looked at Buster, "You aren't leaving me out of this, not this time." Buster looked back at Fredbear, a bit nervously, "I won't leave you out this time, I don't think your son would approve of it."

Some hours later...

With the sun having set, the sky going dark, and the street lights turning on, Freddy and the gang hid in an alleyway like before. However, much more closer to the building than last time. Despite the plan, this was still a risk being taken. There was still a chance that things could go south, but Freddy knew it was a chance worth taking. No way was he going to back down from this, not now.

His thoughts were broken by Chica chewing on a piece of pizza she had gotten from the pizzeria before coming over here. "You are chewing really loud Chica," said Freddy. "She's just having a bite before we go in," said Bonnie. Freddy sighed and also rolled his eyes, "Anyway, Foxy is gonna turn off the power, and then Buster goes in. After that, we all go in on separate floors to see if there are any other rooms that could have things that are useful. Plus, it's also good to see if there are any guards around too, since I see this place having a few. Once we are all settled, we head back to the van, IMMEDIATELY."

With the plan set in stone, Buster put on his earpiece as did Freddy and the others did too. Freddy picked up earpieces while in the middle of planning, that way so they don't have to carry around the walkie talkies and potentially have a guard hear them. They all got out of the van and sneakily made their way just enough to the entry of the alleyway and main road. There wasn't much foot traffic, but there was a few cars out and about. So they knew they had to be careful not to be spotted by any witnesses on the scene.

Foxy was the first to cross the street and make his way to the building. He very quickly got to the back, thanks to his incredible speed of running. But before he went to the power room, he wanted to make sure there was absolutely no one in there or going in that direction. "I'll give it 2 to 3 minutes," Foxy said through the earpiece, "If no landlubber shows up by then, I'll go for the power!" "Safe bet to make," Buster replied. "Security I imagine are more uptight here, if there is any," added Freddy.

After 2 minutes of waiting, nobody showed up. It was now or never, so Foxy quickly went into the power room. There were a ton of electrical boxes to choose from, which made him extremely hesitant on which one he should take care of. It was then Foxy saw the circuit breaker for the entire building. "There's the booty!" he said. "The what?" asked Buster. "Ye know, the booty, the treasure!" Foxy said, only to get silence, likely from the confusion, "I mean the power, the circuit breaker, or whatever the cool kids call it now!" "Ah, I see now," replied Fredbear, "When you said booty at first, I thought you were talking about-" "Get ye mind outta the gutter Fredbear," Foxy said.

He then shut off the power to the building. Freddy and the gang saw this, and immediately went in. Foxy soon followed them in. "So captain, what shall we do now?" asked Foxy. "Me and Buster will go to the file room, Bonnie and Chica will search the 2nd floor, so you and my dad can search the 3rd floor," Freddy said. "Sounds good," Foxy replied, then saying under his breath, "Sorry Freddy, but why him?"

The gang split up and went to do what they could. Starting with Freddy and Buster, as they made their way to the file room with no problems. At first, it didn't look like they had any luck at all, until they came across some files that looked similar to the ones before. However, it got weird when the two checked them out. Some of the writing was from Monty, some of it was from the mayor, and some of it was from the unknown individual. A lot of it seemed to talk about control in power and influence, but didn't get into what it was. That was until they came across the final pages.

When they came across a few of the final pages, they were shown the true extent of this. Bribery, as predicted, played a huge role in why the system to show there is nothing wrong with the pizzeria was as the mayor described. But somethings didn't line up well either, one of which being the dates of when they were written. Some of them go as far back as July of 2022, so it brang up the question; Was Monty targeting Freddy Fazbear's Pizza for longer than the gang thought?

"Just as expected, bribery plays quite the roll in this!" said Buster to everyone, "We haven't gone through all the pages yet, but we are sure that there are a lot of things wrong here." "Given what we've seen so far and the dates of when these were written, I'm starting to think that Monty may have been planning to target us for longer than we believed."

Bonnie and Chica who were on the second floor, and Foxy and Fredbear who were on the third floor, heard this. They didn't understand what that ment all, so they were confused as hell about the statement made. "What do you mean by that?" asked Bonnie.

Before Freddy or Buster could answer the questiom, they saw a flashlight down the hall. "We'll speak more after, we see a security guard!" said Buster. Both he and Freddy closed the door and dragged one of the filing cabinets to block it. "There might be more security guards around, keep an eye out," Freddy informed quietly.

Outside of the file room, a guard stood with a flashlight. She took out a walkie-talkie, "Hey Jeremy, Mike." "Yeah?" asked a voice on there. "What's up Greg?" asked another. "I think the power went out," he said, "It's not normally this dark. I'm probably gonna check the power."

Freddy and Buster heard this. "We can't have him turn on the power, we need a distraction and fast!" said Buster. Freddy looked around and noticed a golf ball. "I think I have something that can distract him," he said. And after the two moved the cabinet, the door was slightly opened as Greg made his way to the lobby and Freddy threw a golf ball. Greg looked behind himself and saw it. He didn't see Freddy, but he saw the light from there and heard the door slam. Buster quickly put the cabinet back to block the door. As loud knocking and attempts to open it were made.

"Are you serious Freddy?!" Buster whispered loudly, "This is your distraction?!" "Would you rather have the power be turned back on?!" Freddy whispered loudly back, "This is the only way!" They then heard from the other side, "HEY! I don't know who's in here but I'm about to find out! So open up!" The sounds grew increasingly louder.

Where the guard was, now he had full knowledge something was up. He pulled out his walkie-talkie and said, "We got someone in the file room! I need you two to come down here as soon as possible. But first, check the floors you guys are on." Freddy and Buster didn't hear that part.

Meanwhile, Foxy and Fredbear were searching the third floor, only to find nothing worth of value. "There's not a thing here," said Foxy. "Well no kidding," Fredbear replied, "There's hardly anything that could count as evidence. Just dumb crap that a town like ours would typically deal with." They then saw a flashlight and the back of someone wearing a light jacket that said security on the back and knew it was time for them to go. "Time to, as you would say, abandon ship," Fredbear whispered. "Ye jokes are typically corny, but this is just agreeable," replied Foxy, as he and Fredbear went in the opposite direction.

At the same time, Bonnie and Chica were wrapping up searching the second floor. Much like the third floor, there was nothing of interest. Right when they were about to turn around, Bonnie fell over. Likely by accidently stepping the wrong way. "You alright?" asked Chica. "Yeah, I'm fine," Bonnie replied. It was then they heard a voice?" "Hello? Someone there?" asked a voice, as the sounds of footsteps got closer. Chica took Bonnie by the hand and helped him up, before they two ran for the staircase. Coincidencely running into Foxy and Fredbear.

"Talk about running into each other by coincidence, right?" asked Fredbear, as the 4 of them made their way to the first floor, "Also, why is your face red Bonnie?" Before Bonnie could answer, Chica said, "He fell, I think landing on his face too." "Yeah...that's what happened," Bonnie said. He didn't even know he was blushing until now. Perhaps, it had something to do with the fact that he hadn't touched hands with Chica before.

Back on the first floor, Greg was still banging on the door to attempt getting in. Freddy and Buster were worried that it'd only be a matter of time until the cabinet couldn't hold the door, despite the efforts. But then, it suddenly stopped. "Huh?" asked Freddy, "Why did it stop?" "Because we took care of one of the guards," said Chica, through the earpiece. He and Buster moved the cabinet and got out of the file room, to see the gang. The guard was knocked out as seen on the floor.

"Thank you guys," Buster said, "I knew you'd all eventually come to the rescue." "We couldn't find anything on the other floors," said Bonnie, "But we did see two other guards, so let's get out with the files."

Just then, they heard running down the stairs and two flashlights showing up. Freddy and the gang ran off while they could. Eventually, getting out of the building and making their way towards the alleyway where the van was. Seemingly, they out ran the two other guards, who probably weren't interested in chasing them beyond the property.

They all got into the van and sped off. "It's gonna be interesting to read the rest of the pages when we get to the pizzeria," said Freddy, "And even if you heard about what me and Buster read, you all have to see it for yourselves." "Prey to god I don't fall asleep again," Foxy thought to himself.
