And here's another.

Apologies if I'm not responded to comments.

As stated, trying to get these out of my head so I'm just focusing on that.

Once they're all done and dusted, I'll be responding!

But thank you all for stopping by regardless!

Let's get on with it shall we?

This is Summer's entry, Memories of a Rose.

"Get back here!"

"Hehe! You'll never catch me, Dattebasa!" A chipper young voice confidently called out as two blurs sprinted across the dusty streets, expertly avoiding any pedestrians.

One was of gold and black.

The other was black and red with rose petals scattering at their every movement.

"Yeah! Never catch us!" His accomplice giggled, her silver eyes brimming vibrantly, gazing back at the gaggle of men and women wearing navy blue articles of clothing and green flak vest giving pursuit and blew a raspberry toward them.

"Boruto!" Many cried as they failed to keep pace with the laughing duo as the others called out. "Ruby! You can't get away with this!"

"Wanna bet!" Boruto smirked, his lone silver eye shimmering with anticipation, before turning to his partner. "Ya ready, Rubes!"

"Always!" Ruby excitedly returned his grin with glee. "Time to… Ah! I'm sorry!"

"Ruby?" Boruto blinked, attempting to skid to a halt as white rose petals engulfed his sister and carried them away. "Oh no… Ahk!"

Slamming face first into what felt like a brick wall, plopping down onto his rear from the impact, Boruto furiously rubbed his bruised nose and gazed up into what he ran into. There wasn't a wall or anything! He was paying attention…

His complexion drained of all color as his heterochromatic eyes were bored into by a cerulean gaze.

"Lord Seventh!" The rest of the shinobi behind stopped and shrunk before the man's presence before a young man with brown hair stepped forward, sighing. "Apologies for not handling this faster…"

"It's fine, Konohmaru. They can be a handle, I know. " A man with short blonde locks that dazzled in the sun's light sighed before shaking his head at his friend. "I got it from here. You can get back to your business."

"Hai!" Each of the shinobi of Kunoichi bowed and dispersed in swirls of leaves, leaving Boruto seemingly alone with the tall man, glaring down at him.

He grimaced and broke his gaze from him, knowing what was coming next. His dad wasn't too thrilled with him…

Naruto sighed before shaking his head, kneeling before Boruto and annoyingly squinting at him."Mah, I know I was late for our training session, but ya got to give me a break! I was in a meeting with some representatives from Remnant, ya know?!"

"But I'll give ya points for creativity. Painting Kakashi's face like a clown is pretty funny. I did the same to Lord Third when I was your age!" Naruto beamed as he chuckled, rubbing the back of his head before scowling. "But did ya have to make me look like a Geisha? Could have done without that image!"

"That was me!" Ruby's voice resonated before shrinking as she hesitantly gazed up as a gentle hand firmly gripped her shoulder, and she winced. "Sorry Mom…"

"I taught you both better than that." Silver eyes disappointingly gazed down at the two as a white cape fluttered behind her before Summer crossed her arms and shook her head. "Seems like I won't be making cookies tonight…"

"No! That's not… Mom, I'm sorry!" Boruto shrieked, clutching his temple in horror before blurting out what he thought she wanted to hear before solemnly gazing toward his father and hanging his head. "I just wanted… To make dad laugh… He seemed tired this morning…"

Summer pitifully sighed, her eyes glistening for a moment as she thinly smiled as she strode toward Boruto with Ruby trailing at her side. "Boys will be boys, I suppose… But did you have to drag Ruby with you? You're supposed to be watching her when I'm out, and if you can't, you can always call Sarada."

"I'm sorry…" Boruto hung his head further, grimacing at her approach."

"Me too…" Ruby pouted before she looked up into Naruto's eyes. "Did you like it, Dad?"

"Love it when you get artistic, my little flower! It makes my day seeing your work!" A resounding laugh left Naruto's lips as he turned his gaze to the young child and exhaled. "But you did deface public property. So I'm gonna have to punish ya both. Looks like we're not gonna be training today…"

Two sponges dropped into Boruto and Ruby's hands, their eyes flickering as they gazed deeply into Naruto's merciless expression.

"Time to clean up."

Wincing with each furious scrub, blonde eyebrows twitched as he dipped his sponge back into the bucket. What kind of paint did Ruby use? It wasn't coming off!

And why did he have to clean her mess while she cleaned his? That wasn't fair… Boruto grimaced as he glanced up at the top of his father's monument, seeing his sister heavily panting, taking a labored breath as she rested. She had only begun her training… She hadn't built her stamina like he had.

"You can take a break if you need to," His mother's voice echoed beside Ruby, settled beside her, a bento box nestled in her lap as she opened it, pulling out an onigiri and gently breaking it in half, handing the other half to Ruby. "It's going to take all day to clean up this mess. No need to push it. Let's enjoy some lunch."

"Onigiri! Count me in! I'm starving!" Boruto leapt up from the side of the monument and beside his mother, his stomach rumbling, causing him to grin sheepishly. "No offense to Dad… But he's not the best cook."

"Don't I know that… Man only knows how to cook Ramen or grill fish on a fire…" Summer muttered under her breath, Boruto and Ruby snickering as they caught their mother's grumble while she gave Boruto an onigiri.

"Itadakimasu!" Boruto loudly announced his thanks before shoveling the rice ball into his mouth, causing Ruby to blanch.

"Ew… Bort nasty!"

"He is his father's child," Summer rolled her eyes before flicking Boruto's forehead. "Chew your food. You're around ladies."

"Mah, sorry!" Boruto shrugged his shoulders, slowing his pace as he took another bite of the filling tuna center, letting out a content sigh as he leaned back on the stone and gazed at the sun. "Wish dad was here with us…"

"He has important business to attend to." Summer warmly smiled as she glanced at her resting son. "It's not often we get commissions from Remnant. It takes a while to negotiate cross-world matters since we created the portal that links our two worlds. The logistics of it are a nightmare, for starters. That's why I'm often their representative since it's my home."

Scrunching his nose at hearing about his father's work, which always sounded complex and tedious, he slowly sat back up to take another bite from his onigiri. "I guess that makes sense…"

"Mom," Summer glanced into Ruby's silver eyes, glistening with curiosity. "If you are from another world… How did you end up here?"

"Hey, that's a good point!" Boruto's frown deepened, and he intently focused on his mother. "If the portal was only made five years ago, how did you end up here?"

"And how did you meet Dad!" Ruby chimed in, her eyes gleaming inquisitively, bouncing gently against the stone, excited for a story to be told. "I bet it was love at first sight!"

"Hardly." Summer scoffed and rubbed her temple, letting out a soft sigh. "Honestly… I thought your father was a moron when I first met him. …But I didn't know him then, and our introduction… Wasn't on the best of terms."

"It all started one night when I was on a walk in the forest around Beacon Academy after just passing their exam…"

"And your obnoxious father had just stolen the Forbidden Scroll…"

:) Yeah, this one purposely has How I Met Your Mother vibes.

If you enjoy any one of these concept drabbles, I would love to hear your thoughts.

The more you make it know that you enjoyed them, the likelier it will transition to a full story in the future.

And I will be taking submissions here if you have any ideas you would like to see.

Not guaranteeing they'll be a story I'll take, for the idea may not resonate with me, but I'll give a rough go of it for a drabble.

So until the next one my friends,

Peace Out.
