So, I've been getting quite a few people asking for a Nora ship...
And I've been sitting on this concept for a while,
So let's go!
We are… A mistake… Caused by a foolish man's ambition.
Now far from his grasp, he will never obtain us…
I will raise you… Train you how to wield our power.
It's a long road ahead, so be prepared for trouble at every corner.
Now, let's get going…
My son.
There was so much fire…
People were screaming all around the burning village, filled with growls, roars, and shrieks…
Why did this have to happen? Where did they come from? Why did they come here?
"Nora!" Cerulean eyes shifted as a shrill voice cried out, a young blonde child sprinting madly through the streets.
His wild blonde locks streamed back, and his long fox ears whipped behind his head as he moved as fast as he could. His breath was ragged, and his chest rattled while three fluffy golden tails brushed the ground as he ran.
Where was she? He had only left his friend to catch dinner and cook it with the help of his Father. Still hadn't gotten the hang of cooking…
"Nora…" He called out again, stopping momentarily while his head swiveled around, searching for her. "Where are…"
Behind you!
A shadowy figure raced from the smoke and shadows, its red eyes glowing as it lunged forward with his maw wide open.
"Get away from me!" He shouted, and a red aura rippled around his sharpened fingers before he lashed out toward the shadowy wolf.
Red lashes of energy rent the creature's face asunder and slice to shreds. Its body plopped and drifted toward his feet, but he didn't care and turned back around and rushed ahead, calling for his friend.
Even as its body turned to ashes.
"Nora! Nora… Woah!"
Feeling something grip his leg, he stopped by another building, frantically searching around. He snarled as it attempted to drag him under. Nothing would stop him…
His eyes widened as he saw a pair of hands, and he let himself be dragged under the building.
And there she was. A faint smile escaped his lungs at seeing her. She avoided all this chaos…
Thanks to the Hunter's boy here… Who was now glowing pink? What was with that? Was it like his Aura?
"Ssh…" The young boy with black hair shushed him before pointing back outside, more creatures trailing behind where he had ran from. "They were following you…"
"How are they not finding us?" The blonde Faunus sneered at the monsters, snarling at them.
"I think… It's me." The dark-haired boy whispered, the pink aura faintly glowing around him. "They haven't noticed us in a while… Perhaps this my…"
A hollow, petrifying shriek caused all three children to freeze in place. The heavy stomps of a creature trotting on the street were followed by another scream that paralyzed them with fear. The trotting slowly carried onward, leaving the children.
"I wanna go… I don't want to be here anymore!" Nora trembled, her eyes shimmering in terror.
Turning to his friend that he had been searching for, seeing her shiver, the blonde Faunus gnashed his teeth as he glanced back to the street above. "Yeah, we're getting out of here… I can take care of the small fries…"
"What if we stay by me?" The dark-haired boy suggested while managing to stay calm despite the fear surging through him. "Maybe we can sneak away, and they won't find us… And if one finds us…"
"I can take of it." The blonde growled, his dilated cerulean iris burned with a scarlet tint within at the creatures sniffing around their building before his expression softened as his gaze fell onto Nora before offering his hand toward her. "Alright, we're gonna get out of here… We just gotta stay quiet."
"Okay." Nora gingerly reached out and took his hand, tepidly walking following him as he trailed behind the dark-haired boy.
"Stay close…" The dark-haired boy grimaced, darting around as they exited from underneath the house, carefully watching where the creatures stood. "They aren't noticing us…"
"That's good…" The blonde growled, keeping close behind, unsure of the range of this effect.
It wasn't his glow… But he was noticing this strange feeling swelling around him.
But they weren't being noticed. The monsters just walked around them as they carefully stepped around them. Even as they sniffed around or stared right at them…
They did nothing.
They were almost at the wall of the city. This was working so well…
"We're almost out of…"
A terrifying cry rippled through them as loud hooves clomped behind them, freezing them to the core. The strange sensation left as the dark-haired boy's aura faded. They all turned to see a monstrous creature riding a black horse.
Its shriek pierced through their souls.
"AH! No! Get away!" Nora screamed, turning around and sprinting as fast as she could away from the rider and all the shadows trailing behind him.
Both boys bolted behind her, the dark-haired boy crying out, stumbling for a second as the blonde Faunus helped him steady himself. "Don't stop! Keep going!"
"Not planning on…
"No!" Nora screamed as the shadowy rider leapt in front of them, its shriek paralyzing them to the spot.
And its arm stretched toward her at alarming speed.
As cerulean eyes faded to scarlet, he felt a warmth spread through his very being. Fear was still very much present…
But he couldn't let his friend get hurt!
"Get away from my friends, you damn monster!" The boy screamed, a crimson aura building like a sphere in his palm as he leapt in front of his dearest friend.
And everything turned a flash of light, and all he heard was her voice calling his name.
"Naruto…"
"Naruto… Wake up, silly! We're gonna be late! And you haven't even eaten breakfast!"
Cerulean eyes snapped open as rays of sunlight spread warmly across his body. Blinking several times to adjust to the light, Naruto faintly smiled at the sight before him.
Nora beamed brightly at him, hand on her hip as she glared down at him. "Come on, sleepy head! Ren caught breakfast before we head out! So, let's get going already! We gotta catch that airship if we want to get Beacon by tomorrow!"
Returning her smile with a chuckle, sitting up from the silky grass, six tails stretched behind him as he yawned. "Ah, sorry I slept late!"
"What did I miss?"
This is only the start…
My time is running short, my son. My power is almost entirely yours…
I will not be with you for much longer…
But I've trained you well. This world will not know what stands before it.
Soon, you will be the Nine-Tailed Fox, and you must be prepared to protect your friends.
The threat of that world will never let us go.
They are coming, and I've done all I can to prepare you for it.
If you like this concept, or something grabbed your attention about it, do let me know!
