In the quaint little town where the sun peeked through vibrant autumn leaves, resided Y/N, an ordinary boy with a heart filled with both joy and sorrow. His laughter and infectious smile illuminated the faces of all who crossed his path, yet beneath this facade lay a secret wound that gnawed at his soul.

Years ago, a tragedy had befallen his family. His beloved little sister, the apple of his eye, had succumbed to a relentless battle with cancer. The doctors had been helpless, unable to alleviate her suffering. Y/N's world had shattered into a million pieces that day.

Guilt and self-reproach consumed him. He blamed himself for not being able to protect his precious sister. Had he not been so careless, had he taken her to the doctor sooner, would she still be alive? These questions haunted his waking moments and tormented his dreams.

The once-cheerful boy withdrew into himself. His smile faded, and his laughter became a hollow echo. The sadness that had once been buried deep within his heart now rose to the surface, threatening to engulf him entirely. Sometimes, he would retreat to the solitude of his room, where he would let the tears stream down his face unchecked.

Each day was a struggle for Y/N. He tried to force a smile, to act as if everything was okay, but the pain lingered, a constant reminder of his loss. The thought of his sister's innocent face, now forever gone, filled him with an unbearable ache.

As the days turned into weeks and the weeks into months, Y/N's friends and family grew concerned. They saw the darkness in his eyes, the emptiness in his soul. They reached out to him, offering their love and support, but he pushed them away.

"I don't deserve your pity," he would mutter. "I failed my sister. I'm a monster."

Their words fell on deaf ears, and Y/N spiraled deeper and deeper into despair. He isolated himself from the world, believing that he was unworthy of love or happiness. The once-ordinary boy was now a shadow of his former self, haunted by the ghost of a loved one lost too soon.

As Y/N ambled towards school, oblivious to the impending danger, a runaway truck with faulty brakes hurtled towards him. The massive impact sent him flying several meters, his body crumpling upon the unforgiving asphalt. Blood gushed from his wounds, painting the street crimson. In the final moments of his life, as darkness enveloped him, a flicker of hope emerged. A dazzling white light consumed his vision, accompanied by a voice calling his name.

God: That is correct, Y/N. You will be reborn as a Ship Girl in the world of Azur Lane, where you will join the fight against the Sirens. This is a world of war and conflict, but also a world of hope and determination. The fate of humanity rests on your shoulders.

Y/N: This is incredible! I've always dreamed of being a Ship Girl, and now I have the chance to actually make a difference. But... why me? Why not someone else?

God: You have a unique combination of skills and abilities that make you the perfect candidate for this mission. You are brave, compassionate, and determined. You have a natural affinity for the sea, and you are a quick learner. I believe that you have the potential to become a great Ship Girl and a hero to the world.

Y/N: really that's awesome

God: "Yes and no, Y/N. I will reincarnate you as the mighty Supreme Flagship Yamato of the enigmatic Fleet of Fog. However, instead of returning to 1940, your rebirth will take place in the year 2018."

A sense of bewilderment washed over me.

Y/N: The Arpeggio of Blue Steel universe? This couldn't be real.

"Why, you ask? Because the world stands at a crossroads, torn apart by conflict. One faction embraces the forbidden technology of the Sirens, while the other vehemently opposes it. In this chaos, I charge you with a mission."

I felt a surge of determination coursing through me.

Y/N: I will establish a new Fleet of Fog, utilizing nanomaterial to create vessels of unparalleled power."

God: "And to aid you on this perilous journey, I grant you two wishes."

Y/N: My first wish is for the unwavering loyalty of Musashi. My second wish is to bring my little sister, Shinano, into this realm as a fellow battleship."

"Your wishes are my command," the voice boomed. "May your legacy in this new life be one of honor and triumph."

And with that, a blinding light enveloped me, transporting me to an unknown future.

Amidst the vast expanse of the sea, three mighty warships sailed silently.

Among them were two colossal battleships, the ARP Musashi and ARP Yamato, each a formidable force to behold. Towering above them, the aircraft carrier ARP Shinano glided gracefully, her flight deck a testament to her aerial dominance.

(ARP)Musashi: Sister, wake up," her deep voice echoed across the water.

(ARP)Yamato's: "Musashi, is that you?" Yamato's sisterly tone replied. "Where is Shinano?"

(ARP)Musashi: "Right there, on her carrier," Musashi pointed to Shinano. "She seems confused."

(ARP)Yamato: "Little sister, wait here, Musashi," Yamato commanded. "I will speak to her."

Musashi nodded solemnly, her gaze fixed on her younger sibling.

Y/N, disguised as Yamato, made Her way towards Shinano's flight deck. As she approached, she called out to her.

(ARP)Yamato: "Yuki," she said.

Shinano's eyes widened in surprise. "Who are you? And why am I alive?"

(ARP)Yamato: "Yuki, it's me, Y/N," Y/N replied, his voice filled with emotion. "Your big brother... or sister now."

"Y/N? But... how?" Shinano asked, her voice trembling. "You were... you died."

Y/N explained to his sister about his untimely demise and his reincarnation as a Fog ship by the divine will of God. Shinano listened intently, absorbing the revelation with a mixture of awe and confusion.

As Y/N finished his account, Shinano reached out and embraced him tightly. Tears of joy and disbelief streamed down her cheeks as they realized that they had been reunited against all odds.

Breaking apart, Y/N and Yuki stood together, their bond once again unbreakable. They turned towards Musashi's ship to introduce Yuki to her other little sister.

Dialog:

Musashi: Yamato, is Shinano alright now?

Yamato: Yes, Musashi, she's fine now.

Shinano: Yes, I am fine. But why are you calling me Shinano?

Yamato: Shinano, I told you about it just a second ago.

Shinano: Oh, right, I understand. Sorry, big sisters. Big sister Musashi, I'm sorry.

Musashi: It's fine, Shinano.

Yamato: So, where are we anyway?

Musashi: In the South Philippine Sea. Why?

Yamato: Okay, thanks, sis.

Shinano: Are we going to join any factions?

Yamato: No, sister. We are not joining any faction.

Shinano: Okay. Then what are we going to do now?

Yamato: Find a land and build a base there. Musashi, can you help me build a base for the Fleet of Fog?

Musashi: Of course, big sister. I will help you build a base.

Yamato: Thank you, sis.

In the vast expanse of the Philippine Sea, hours after daybreak, the colossal Yamato-class battleships emerged from the horizon, their majestic hulls cutting through the azure waters. They had discovered a small island, which they swiftly claimed as their base of operations for the Fleet of Fog.

As the sun began its ascent, Shinano stood silently, observing her sisters tirelessly constructing the foundation of their sanctuary. Amidst the clamor of machinery and the rhythmic pounding of hammers, Yamato resolved to construct a fleet of Nagara-class light cruisers.

With meticulous precision, the Fog warships brought forth forty Nagara-class vessels. Once their construction was complete, Yamato dispatched them on patrol missions, forming a protective perimeter around the island base. The Nagara-class cruisers, adorned with ethereal blue neon lights that set them apart from their crimson-hued counterparts, set about their task diligently.

Ten Nagara-class cruisers embarked on an extended patrol towards the eastern horizon, their mission to seek out either friendly vessels or hostile Siren warships. After ten arduous hours of scouring the sea, they turned back towards their base, unaware of the watchful eyes that had observed their movements from a secluded island.

Aboard a humble Filipino fishing boat, two sailors witnessed the enigmatic cruisers with astonishment.

"What is that we just saw?" exclaimed the first sailor, his voice trembling.

The captain, his brow creased with concern, responded, "I cannot say with certainty, but those ships bear the markings of Sakura, yet there is something peculiar about them."

Sailor 2: Captain, I'm picking up blue lights instead of red on our sensors.

Captain: That's unusual. Report it to the Philippine Navy admiral immediately.

Sailor 1: Yes, Captain.

Purchase supplies

Destroy any enemy Siren Fleet encountered

Show no mercy to the enemy and any foolish ships that cross their path will be Destroyed

Scene: A group of anthropomorphic warships, known as mental models, are gathered together.

Crimson Red Fleet

(ARP)Yamato: I have a craving for delicious food, especially from Manila! I'm going to hack the world's banking systems so we can become rich, and then I'll indulge in my culinary adventures! Hahaha! Hehe!

(ARP)Repulse: Supreme Flagship, are you feeling unwell?

(ARP)Musashi: I'm concerned about you, Sister. You seem rather... unstable.

(ARP)Shinano: Big sis, please calm down. You're scaring me.

(ARP)Yamato: Oops, sorry about that. I just couldn't contain my excitement for food!

(ARP)Musashi: I understand your passion for food, but remember, we are mental models. We don't need to consume sustenance like humans.

(ARP)Yamato: Nonsense, Musashi! I don't care what I'm supposed to do. I want to experience the joy of eating delicious food!

(ARP)Musashi: Very well, sis. If that's what you desire.

(ARP)Javelin: I want to eat too!

(ARP)Jupiter: You're not allowed.

(ARP)Howe: I don't see any harm in trying out human food. I'm going to join Lady Yamato in her culinary escapades.

Scene 1: Manila Harbor

Yamato (Crimson Red Fleet): "Excellent. Let us proceed to Manila to gather provisions."

Crimson Red Fleet: "Aye, Supreme Flagship Yamato!"

Scene 2: Philippine Navy Port

Admiral John William (Philippine Navy): "Unbelievable! First the Sirens, now this... I have no idea if they are allies or foes."

Commander: "Admiral, we've detected a fleet approaching Manila Harbor."

Admiral John William: "What?! Dispatch two destroyers immediately!"

Commander: "Two, sir? Why only two?"

Admiral John William: "No questions. Just do it."

Scene 3: Jose Rizal Class Destroyer

Jose Rizal: "Sister, are you afraid?"

Conrado Yap: "Of course. We're only sending two ships against that entire fleet. I pray they're peaceful and not hostile."

Jose Rizal: "Me too, sister. Me too..."

Scene 4: Destroyer Approach

The two Jose Rizal class destroyers approach the Crimson Red Fleet cautiously, weapons at the ready.

(ARP YAMATO Fleet)

(ARP)Musashi: I have detected two ships directly ahead.

(ARP)Yamato: Understood, Musashi. All ships, hold your fire. Those vessels are allies.

All: Aye, Supreme Flagship.

Moments later, two Philippine Navy destroyers approached the fleet.

The sisters' eyes widened in fear as they realized the true nature of their new companions: the colossal battleships of the Yamato class.

(AL)Conrado Yap: Sis, look! It's a Yamato class! And that's a gigantic fleet!

(AL)Jose Rizal: Indeed, they are an impressive force. Let's proceed with caution.

Crimson Red Fleet Perspective

(ARP)Yamato: Attention, all hands. Destroyers of the Philippine Navy approaching.

The destroyers drew closer.

(ARP)Yamato: Ahoy there, destroyers of the Philippine Navy.

(AL)Jose Rizal: Greetings. I am Jose Rizal of the Jose Rizal class destroyer, and this is my younger sister, Conrado Yap.

(AL)Conrado Yap: Hello.

(AL)Jose Rizal: May we inquire as to your presence in the South Philippine Sea? Are you aligned with the Sirens?

Scene:

Jose Rizal and the Fleet of Fog are engaged in conversation.

Dialogue:

Yamato: No, we are not Sirens. We are called Fog ships, and we do not wish to harm humans. We adhere to the Admiralty Code, which prohibits us from harming humans. Any violation of this code will result in punishment.

Jose Rizal: Who is the Admiralty Code?

Yamato: I am the Admiralty Code of the Fleet of Fog.

The Fog ships become visibly frightened, especially Yamato's sister, Musashi.

Musashi: S-Sister... are you joking?

Yamato: I am not joking, Musashi. You know this to be true.

Musashi: H-Hai...

The Fog ships remain apprehensive of Yamato.

Jose Rizal: You are the Admiralty Code of the Fleet of Fog?

Yamato: That is correct. I have come to Manila to purchase food for my Fleet. We assure you that we will not harm any humans during our stay.

Jose Rizal: I understand. You have my escort as you proceed to Manila.

Yamato: Thank you, Jose Rizal.

Conclusion:

Yamato reveals her identity as the Admiralty Code of the Fleet of Fog. The Fog ships are apprehensive but agree to follow Jose Rizal's escort to Manila, where they intend to purchase food without causing harm to humans.

After escorting the Crimson red Fleet for an hour, the two Destroyers finally arrived at Manila Harbor. All the people there in the Harbor were amazed to see the massive Fleet.

Yamato and her Fleet disembarked their ships.

Admiral John William approached the Flagship.

"Hello there. My name is John William. I am the Admiral of the Philippines Navy. May I ask what you are doing here in Manila?"

(ARP)Yamato: "Greetings, Admiral John William. My name is Yamato, the Supreme Flagship of the Fleet of Fog, also known as the Admiralty Code. This is my younger sister, Musashi, the Second in Command of the Fleet of Fog, and my other younger sister, Shinano, the Third in Command of the Fog."

Admiral John William: "Fleet of Fog? Are you all Kansens? Can you use Rigging?"

(ARP)Musashi: "No, we are not Kansens. We are Drones or Mental Models. We are the ships themselves."

(ARP)Yamato: Second question, we are here to buy some food and I just really want to eat delicious food, okay? Please excuse me, Admiral, I'm going now. Wait, one more thing. We're not going to harm the people here. So bye.

Admiral John William looked at them and their ships.

Admiral (mind): Thank God they are not enemies.

Time Skip

After an hour of shopping for food at The SM Mall, the Blue Steel Fleet emerged from the mall.

(ARP)Yamato: "I can't wait to eat this food back at our base," She exclaimed eagerly.

(ARP)Musashi: "Yes, indeed, sis," she agreed.

(ARP)Shinano: "This ice cream is delicious!" Shinano said, relishing the frozen treat.

Suddenly, an ominous siren blared through the streets. A voice boomed over the harbor, "Attention! Siren Fleet approaching. Evacuate the area immediately!"

Without hesitation, the Crimson red raced to their ships to intercept the invading Siren threat.

"Prepare for battle, fleet!" Yamato ordered. "Protect the humans and destroy the enemy sirens!"

"Hai, Supreme Flagship Yamato!" the Fog Ships replied in unison, determined to fulfill their duty.

Yamato: Nagara Class, attack to the right!

Nagara Class: Hai!

The Nagara Class Light Cruiser obeys Yamato's order and charges towards the enemy on the right flank.

Yamato: Howe, Nachi, Haguro, Hunter, Battler, destroy those Siren carriers in the air!

Howe: Hai!

Nachi: Hai!

Haguro: Hai!

Hunter: Yes, supreme Flagship!

Battler: Yes, lady Yamato!

The aforementioned ships launch their attacks, with Hunter sending out her planes and Battler firing her missiles.

Yamato: Musashi, Shinano, Repulse, Ayanami, Fubuki, Javelin, Jupiter, Ashigara, follow me! We're going to attack them head-on!

Musashi: Hai!

Shinano: Hai!

Repulse: Yes, supreme Flagship!

Ashigara: Hai! Time to use my weapons! Fire all corrosive torpedoes and photon turrets!

The fleet follows Yamato's lead and charges towards the enemy, unleashing a barrage of attacks upon them.

Battle Scene

Fog Fleet:

(ARP)ayanami: "Full speed ahead!"

(ARP)Fubuki: "Aye!"

(ARP)Javelin: "Yes! Fire corrosive torpedoes and kill those Siren fiends!"

(ARP)Jupiter: "Don't mess with the Fleet of Fog, you wretched Siren ships!"

Siren Fleet:

The Siren fleet responds with missile attacks, but their missiles prove ineffective against the Fog ships.

Fog Fleet's Attack:

The Fog ships launch a devastating attack on the Siren fleet.

(ARP)Musashi rams a Siren battleship, cutting it in half.

After 40 minutes of fierce fighting, the Siren fleet is annihilated, with battleships, heavy cruisers, aircraft carriers, and destroyers sinking to the bottom of the sea.

Philippine Navy's Reaction:

Admiral John William: "What in God's name am I witnessing?"

Commander: "Thank heavens they are not our enemies. Those ships were mercilessly slaughtered."

Scene: A meeting between Jose Rizal and Admiral John William regarding the presence of the Fleet of Fog.

Characters:

Admiral John William

Crimson Red (as a third-person observer)

(ARP)Yamato

(ARP)Shinano

(ARP)Howe

Dialogue:

Admiral John William: Yes, you are right, Commander.

Jose Rizal: Admiral.

Admiral John William: Yes, Rizal.

Jose Rizal: The Fleet of Fog are now returning to their base. However, if we need their assistance for escorting cargo ships or protecting the islands, we can simply call upon them.

Admiral John William: Good.

[Crimson Red's Perspective]

(ARP)Yamato: That was fun.

(ARP)Shinano: Yes, it was.

(ARP)Howe: Poor Siren ships, they were outmatched.

(ARP)Yamato: Well then, let's return to base and enjoy some delicious food.

All Fog Ships: Hai, Supreme Flagship!

Location:

Scarborough Sholal, 37.88 km from Fog Base

Facility:

Massive base called Scarborough Sholal

Purpose:

Naval base for the Oriental Fleets of the "Fleet of Fog"

Background:

The "Fleet of Fog" was created with superior technology, but their creator recognized their vulnerability.

Therefore, they established naval bases where damaged ships could be rebuilt.

Significance:

Scarborough Sholal is one of the designated naval bases for the Oriental Fleets.

It provides the "Fleet of Fog" with a strategic location to repair and maintain their ships, ensuring their operational efficiency.

The base resembles a floating city, surrounded by colossal panels resembling flower petals. At its center stands a towering spire that extends hundreds or thousands of meters into the sky. The support vessel Akashi serves the administrator of this naval base.

On the dock, Akagi and her sister Kaga stood, waiting for the Crimson Fleet's return. Suddenly, they noticed something in the distance.

(ARP)Akagi: "Sister, look," Akagi exclaimed. "There's a small fishing boat near one of the Nagara-class cruisers."

(ARP)Kaga: "Yes," she replied. "And there are many smaller boats surrounding it."

(ARP)Akagi: "Indeed," ShE said. "Those Filipino fishermen seem unfazed by our presence."

(ARP)Kaga: "I believe they are emboldened by the actions of Lady Yamato and her fleet against the Siren vessels in Manila Harbor," Kaga said. "They see the Fog Fleet as their protector."

Akagi: (giggles) Yeah, there are only three fishing boats near this base. The others are far away, near the Scarborough Shoal.

???: Akagi, Kaga!

Someone calls out to them. The two sisters turn around to see Zuikaku approaching them.

Assault and Suppression Vessel Zuikaku

Zuikaku is a "Fleet of Fog" reincarnation of WWII Shokaku-class aircraft carrier Zuikaku. She has only one 'sister', Shokaku, who is mentioned but has yet to make her appearance in the series. As a reincarnation of an aircraft carrier, Zuikaku is one of the biggest "Fog" warships seen so far, easily rivaling the supreme flagship Yamato in size.

While she is based on an aircraft carrier, it doesn't look like Zuikaku has any airplanes or anything similar in her arsenal. And she also doesn't appear to have any high-caliber Photon cannons either. It's not clear, whether or not she has a Super-Graviton Cannon or high-angle lasers, but given her role of a Assault and Suppression vessels, it is quite likely. She also possesses an ability to create incredibly powerful shockwaves and seems to be able to make long 'jumps' from one location to another. Whether it is really flying or merely a jump is to be seen.

Zuikaku - again, because of her role of an Assault and Suppression vessel - is presumed to possess a powerful Wave-Force armor to protect her both from shocks due to her jumps and from enemy fire.

Mental Model

Assault and Suppression vessels Zuikaku has one Mental Model. She appears as a young Oriental girl, not even in her teens; she is one of the youngest-looking Mental Model seen so far. Her exact color scheme is unknown, however she has dark eyes and dark hair with two lotus-flower clips in them. She wears a raincoat, tight black pants and very large boots.

Zuikaku is rather excitable and likes Japanese food, both cooking and eating. She also enjoys fishing. When I-402 delivered her a secret message written on a paper from Yamato, Zuikaku ate it in order to prevent it from falling into wrong hands.

Zuikaku also spends quite a lot of time in close proximity with humans, bargaining with them as she exchanged her draughts for various other things. According to I-402, she has the 'most experience points' in this area among the "Fleet of Fog" vessels that don't have human crews. Her contacts with humans are her attempt to deal with boredom: being an assault and suppression vessel, Zuikaku isn't included into the patrol fleets and stays anchored in one place most of the time.

Her Role on the Fleet of Fog,

Is to Protect the Base And patrol the surrounding area of Scarborough Sholal and Destroy the Siren Fleet if they appear.

--

(ARP)Zuikaku: (Happily) Hello, Akagi, Kaga. Are you two awaiting the arrival of the Crimson Red Fleet?

(ARP)Akagi: Yes.

(ARP)Kaga: Any news on the completion of the Baltimore Class cruisers?

(ARP)Zuikaku: Yes, Akashi informed me that they will be completed in two days. However, there was an issue while Akashi was building the six Baltimore Class cruisers. The six ships cannot be found.

(ARP)Akagi: (Shocked) Why can't the six ships be found?

(ARP)Zuikaku: I'm not sure, but Akashi told me that the Baltimore Class cruiser Sister's we're already built. However, they cannot locate there little sister on the dry dock.

(ARP)Akagi: This is strange. We haven't seen Saint Paul leave the base without our permission or that of Lady Yamato.

(ARP)Kaga: Do you think there's already a Baltimore-class cruiser here in this world?

(ARP)Akagi: I don't know, but if that's the case, we need to ask Lady Yamato to conduct a worldwide search for the Saint Paul. We can't let the Fleet of Fog's technology fall into the wrong hands. We need to wait for the arrival of the Fleet,

(ARP)Zuikaku: Or we could contact her directly on the Joint Tactical Network.

(ARP)Akagi: That's a good idea.

She closed her eyes, and a red holographic ring appeared around her. Various codes and digital data could be seen forming the ring. Once she contacted Yamato on the tactical network, she and Yamato were sitting in chairs, drinking tea. Yamato set her teacup down and began to speak.

(ARP)Yamato: Ah, Akagi, why have you called me here on the tactical network? Has something happened at our base?

(ARP)Akagi: Supreme Flag, this is an emergency!

(ARP)Akagi: Lady Yamato, the sixth Baltimore-class cruiser has vanished from the dry dock. Zuikaku informed me.

(ArP)Yamato: (Shocked) How did that occur? Did any of you witness Saint Paul departing the dry dock?

(ARP)Akagi: We did not observe her leaving, Lady Yamato. Even if we had, we would have prevented her departure without your authorization.

(ARP)Yamato: I understand. What about her sisters?

(ARP)Akagi: Baltimore, Boston, and Canberra are fully functional, with their mental models intact. Quincy and Pittsburgh remain under construction. The completion of the sixth Baltimore-class cruiser remains unexplained, as she was scheduled to be the last to be built.

Akagi informed Yamato that Kaga had mentioned the possibility of another Saint Paul existing in their world. Yamato dismissed the idea as improbable.

Akagi prompted them to devise a plan. Yamato resolved to dispatch the Bismarck Fleet to search for Saint Paul in the Pacific Ocean. She also instructed Akagi to monitor the construction of the two remaining Baltimore-class ships, emphasizing the importance of avoiding further losses to Fog warships.

Akagi acknowledged Yamato's orders and disconnected the call. She proceeded to Dry Dock 5, where the two Baltimore-class ships remained under construction. Zuikaku accompanied her, while Kaga awaited the fleet's return to the base.

Meanwhile, Yamato contacted Bismarck and ordered her to lead her fleet to the Pacific Ocean to search for the missing Baltimore-class ship. Upon receiving the order, Bismarck promptly instructed her fleet to alter course and head towards the Pacific.
