Chapter 8: Clan business

Once at his house, Naruto quickly washed and changed to get all the blood off to meet his fiance in his front room. It'd been some time since they'd been alone and Hinata was looking forward to it when she'd immediately moved into the compound after the exams and now they had all the time in the world. "So Naruto-kun, did you really have to kill the Tsuchikage's granddaughter and mock her death to his face?" Hinata asked teasingly.

"They were threats to our clan and I was 'excited'." Naruto said with a smirk which earned him a giggle from Hinata. "I'm assuming there'll be a war in the future and we'll need to be ready, Naruto-kun. Tsunade-sama has claimed me as her apprentice but you'll need a sensei too. You've grown stronger under your 'special' sensei but I don't think you can trust him." Hinata said, turning serious for the moment. "I don't trust Danzo and I never will but he can make me strong. He knows more than probably the Hokage and will be a useful asset until he oversteps his boundaries.

For now, he believes he has me under a subtle genjutsu that makes me feel like I should trust him and want to protect konoha through his methods. It's a strong genjutsu casted by a unique sharingan he has implanted in his right eye. I'm sure he has some along his right arm as well and his right arm had Hashirama's chakra running through it.

He's dangerous but if I continue training under him and allow him to believe I never found and dispelled his genjutsu, I'll be able to benefit in more than just strength. I have a few emergency measures planned just in case but I will be fine. You and Haku will have to stay alert for Danzo and his root though in case he wants leverage over me but I'm planning a countermeasure for that as well." Naruto responded.

"Ok Naruto-kun, I trust you. Do you think you'd be able to do anything for the cage bird seal? I kind of told Neji we'd be able to help him but If you removed it completely we could face backlash from the hyuga clan. If you only remove its harmful functions, they wouldn't be able to legally press charges. Also, I'm sure they won't be able to place another seal." Hinata asked hopefully. Naruto smiled before speaking, breaking the seriousness of their conversation.

"Of course I can Hina-hime. I actually plan on doing it for the whole clan. I'll remove all functions that allow the main branch to inflict pain or kill the side branch while keeping the protective functions so the byakugan would still be safe. I'll have to make a deal with the clan but I doubt they'd turn down a bloodline." Hinata's eyes widened, she didn't know Naruto cared about her clan's problems enough for him to do something like that. "But why Naruto-kun? I appreciate it, but why would you do that for my clan?"

"I've always planned on it but didn't exactly know how until recently. I could sense the pain and regret you feel when you see or hear about the caged bird seal. I could feel the reluctance of giving up your position as clan heir and knew it was because you wouldn't have the power to change your clan. I plan on offering the hyuga clan a kekkei genkai given to 1 or two of its members in exchange for the altering of the caged bird seal. The seal isn't the problem, it's the additions to the seal that are the problem and going forward, they can simply not be added in future seals."

Hinata wanted to thank Naruto but was at a loss of words. Instead she jumps on him, straddles him after he falls to the ground and starts kissing him passionately. After a much needed breath of air Hinata gave Naruto a timid smile. "Naruto-kun, I appreciate everything you've done for me and now my clan. I'll make sure your dreams come true even if it's not in Konoha. I know you hate the village and whatever you plan to do, I'm with you. We'll become strong enough that no one will be able to influence our clan but us." Hinata said before giving Naruto another light kiss.

"Thank you but you've done even more for me. If it weren't for you, I would've given up and released Kurama before I ever graduated from the academy. I'd be an idiot if you weren't around to teach me all the stuff in the academy and we wouldn't be as strong as we are if we didn't have your brain. I appreciate you too, Hina-hime" Naruto said, giving Hinata a genuine smile.

"You know the council's going to have a million questions right? I'd be surprised if they don't demand you to give the entire shinobi force a bloodline." "I know, but I'm classifying the bloodlines I give as a clan secret technique. If the council attempts to force me, I'll pressure them to force the other clans to teach their clan techniques to the general force. If they still force me, I'll give everyone a bloodline that'll reject their chakra until they give up. When do you plan on moving into the compound? Are you fine with living with Haku until I get the rest of my clan's funds?"

"Ok, that seems like it'll work. I'll have to go over the clan agreement and konoha laws so we're prepared in the future but I know enough for now from my clan heir training. I also know of a way we can legally leave konoha as a clan but I'll explain another time." Naruto raised an eyebrow but nodded and allowed her to finish. "I already have everything sealed and ready to move and will be bringing my belongings over tonight once I speak with my father and my clan. And I'm sure me and Haku will 'get along'." Hinata finished with a giggle.

"I'm glad you like her too, maybe even more than me." Naruto teased, causing Hinata to blush. "Hina do you think I was right to trust Tsunade? Her emotions said she wasn't lying, she really didn't know I'd lived but it doesn't feel right trusting someone so readily. I was caught up in the moment, I think." "Naru-kun, I don't think you made a bad decision. Tsunade-sama came by the compound every day over the three weeks you were gone and from what I can tell, she resents this village as much as you do. It's ok to trust people as long as you're selective and It's ok to be yourself. You're not alone anymore, and it's not just me anymore.

You have Haku, Shino, the Ichiraku's, and now Tsunade and shizune. We'll look out for you the same way you'll look out for us. You don't have to kill to improve your chances of survival anymore because the people around you will." Naruto took in Hinata's words for a moment but opted to kiss his wife-to-be instead of thinking over them now. The kiss intensified and Naruto began to wonder how soon they'd be restoring his clan by the way Hinata was rubbing her body on his and his hands weren't much better.

Not only that, the emotions he was sensing from her told him she was thinking the same. Hinata regretfully pulled herself off of Naruto to return to her clan and speak to her father so she can grab her storage scrolls and set her room up in Haku's house. She wanted to be done before Tsunade arrived with sake. Naruto watched Hinata leave and wanted to stop her but didn't want to risk the mad hyuga attack that would be the result of their activities if she stayed.

Unknown location in the land of waterfalls near the Konoha border. Onoki and his guards were traveling through Taki to get to Iwa when a figure jumped from a tree in their path. Orochimaru stood opposite the Iwa group with a smug smile, "KukuKuKu, It seems your granddaughter didn't make it. I wonder what you will do in retaliation." Orochimaru mused. "Enough! You chose the wrong time for your games, Orochimaru. You'll die today." Onoki screamed before sending his guards at the snake sannin.

Orochimaru began evading their attacks and jutsu while speaking. "Aw little Onoki, so quick to anger. You know, if you kill me now, you'll have to fight Konoha and Tsuna alone." Orochimaru dissipated into a mud as Kurotsuchi hit him with a doton jutsu after having switched with a mud clone and then appeared in the trees behind Onoki. "And we'll crush them both before parading the Namikaze's head around Iwagakure." "kuku. Are you really that arrogant? I can keep Tsuna from participating in the war. I'm the leader of Otogakure and I can get Takigakure to join.

You need me!" Orochimaru spat out. Onoki held up his hand to get his guards to stop attacking. "Why would I trust a snake, and how do I know you can do what you say?" Onoki responded skeptically. "I want to destroy Konoha more than you and I can prove everything if you accept my offer. We'll discuss terms at a less 'sensitive' time." Orochimaru jumped down in front of Onoki and extended a hand. Onoki scrutinized Orochimaru but eventually floated up and shook Orochimaru's hand. "You better be able to follow through." Onoki said.

Konoha, council room in Hokage tower. Tsunade dreaded council meetings and after the day's events, this one would be a shit-show. Her only saving grace was a relaxing private bathhouse in the Nami-Uzu compound followed by a case of sake. She only needed to make it through this so-called emergency meeting. It wasn't like there was going to be a war the very next day. Hiruzen motioned for Homura and Koharu to speak on the reason they called an emergency council meeting.

"Hokage-sama, I believe we must speak about the repercussions of a certain genin's brutality in the exams. Due to the jinchuriki killing Onoki's granddaughter and his subsequent goading of the tsuchikage, a war with Iwa may now be unavoidable. I suggest we extract the kyuubi and give Iwa his corpse." Koharu said. "Over my dead body you spineless twat! And his Name is Naruto!" Tsunade screamed, releasing a heavy killing intent.

Jiraiya was there as an advisor and seated next to her. He put a hand on her shoulder before trying to calm the quickly angered senju. "Hime let it go, I'll handle it. It isn't even possible. Only Uzumaki seals are strong enough to seal the Kyuubi and they're all in the Nami-Uzu compound. Even then we couldn't seal the kyuubi in anyone other than an Uzumaki, and even then no one in our village is versed enough in seals to seal the Kyuubi at this moment. It would take me a few years to study all the uzumaki seals that are locked away in the compound and that's only if he somehow allows us to get them.

Also he's the fourth's son and you're out of your damn mind. You'll have to kill me as well before you kill him or hand him over to Iwa." Jiraiya said. "Jiraiya, Tsunade enough. But they are right, I will hear nothing of giving up yondaime's son. We would lose all pride as a ninja village and the fire daimyo would be livid." Hiruzen said, already having to regain control of the meeting. "But Hokage-sama, surely the boy isn't worth a war." Sakuri added. "He is a shinobi of this village and did what was best for Konoha. The girl he killed was being groomed to be the next tsuchikage and Iwa brought this on themselves.

They sent chunin in the exams and used seals to gather in groups during the second stage to hunt konoha genin and the last Namikaze. Iwa's been waiting for any chance to start a war, giving up the boy would only delay any confrontation while making us look like cowards." Danzo responded forcefully. Those in attendance were surprised at the support and praise Danzo had for Naruto. Hiruzen and his two students immediately began to wonder what Danso's connection with Naruto was. "I agree, we cannot push the repercussions of the previous war on a single boy who already shoulders a massive burden. I do not want war but Naruto was well within his rights to kill the girl, illogical as it may be." Shibi added.

"As I said, we will not be giving Naruto to Iwa or punishing him for his actions in the exams. If anyone brings up that option again they will be barred from the council. We will discuss the possibly impending war at a later date after we receive more information. Is there anything else urgent to discuss tonight?" Hiruzen grumbled out wishing this meeting would end. "We would like to call the genin of team 7 to explain what looked to be kekkei genkai during the tournament. It is imperative we know how they achieved such a feat as it couldn't have been natural." Homura said.

"They just completed their chunin exam finals, wouldn't it be more prudent to allow them a few days to enjoy their success? I'm sure this council will be convening even more often then we already do. We'll have plenty of time to call them before the council despite how troublesome it is." Shikaku Nara replied. "I agree with Shikaku, we must all think about the events of the day before we decide on promotions and how to proceed with Iwa along with the mysterious abilities of those genin. Until then, this meeting is adjourned, dismissed." Hiruzen commanded, seizing his first opportunity to end the meeting.

Once everyone had left, the aged Hokage returned to his office where he found Jiraiya and Tsunade. To his relief they allowed him to reach his chair and he took a deep breath. "Is the gaki working with Danzo? He disappears for three weeks, showcases danzo's and your combination jutsu, and now all of a sudden Danzo is defending him." Jiraiya said. "I swear if he's been brainwashed to be Danzo's puppet, I'll kill the old fart and drag Naruto away from this kami forsaken village." Tsunade added.

The old sarutobi had the exact same questions but doubted Danzo had been in contact with the boy for long. "I don't know but I doubt they've been in contact for long if they are. Though this is worrying so I may have to have an anbu watch him for a while." Hiruzen responded. "NO! He already doesn't trust you and this village that'll only make it worse. Not only that, I'm sure he'll be able to sense any anbu on his trail from what I hear about his sensory abilities." Tsunade said. "She's right, I don't think that'd be the best move, worst case, I'll have to watch over the gaki." Jiraiya responded.

"He'd probably be able to sense you as well, Jiraiya. Either way, with a possible war over the horizon, we don't have the luxury of dealing with inner conflict. If Danzo is in some sort of control or influences Naruto to help him gain more power within the village, we must know and put it to an end. "I'll keep an eye on him for a while since I need to be in the village to help with our iwa situation. We'll see how good the brat's sensory abilities really are." Jiraiya said, puffing his chest out.

"No, you didn't want to interfere with his life, so don't. I'll talk to him and if he's under Danzo's thumb, I'll handle it." Said Tsunade. "And how do you know he'll even talk to you, and If he is under Danzo's control, he wouldn't even be able to speak to you about it. He won't trust or confide in me, jiraiya, kakashi, or his sensei." "Because he's already given me a chance. I explained my relationship with his mom and my lack of knowledge of his existence and he believed me. He can sense emotions and can tell when people are lying or misleading him. We talked for a while and I'm going back to his compound to celebrate in a little while. So I'll handle it."

Jiraiya and Hiruzen's jaw dropped in astonishment. They'd get nothing more than a professional cold shoulder but Tsunade gets invited into the compound. "I'll leave it to you then," said Hiruzen but Tsunade had already walked out of the door. "She's pissed, you know you really should've told her," the toad sannin said chidingly to his sensei. "I did what I must for this village, and after 13 years and all the times you found Tsunade to try your luck. Why haven't you said anything?"

"I was the kid's godfather, do you really think the slug princess would let me have my way with her if she knew I just didn't want to raise Kushina's child. I'd have no chance, just like now. She hasn't even blown up on me, I think she's planning on killing me." Hiruzen released a chuckle as he shook his head. "And did she let you have your way with her?" Jiraiya struck a pose and responded, "Yes, everytime she knocked me unconscious and I saw her in my dreams, I got to do whatever I wanted." The toad sage said proudly. Hiruzen released a sweat drop before motioning for Jiraiya to leave his office and his student obliged.

Anko was at her favorite dengo shop with Yugao and Kurenai. They'd gotten together at the usual spot to catch up and talk about the shocking exams and were a few shots in. "You know, those gaki's are ridiculous. The fuck kind of water are they drinking." Anko said while motioning the waiter to bring more sake. "I don't think 'some' shinobi are mentally fit but I agree. There were some strong genin in those exams. I would've had problems with a few of them." Kurnai added.

"I almost wet myself when the Gaki killed the tsuchikage's granddaughter while the tsuchikage was watching. I'm getting moist just thinking about it." Anko said seductively. "Anko! You're over 5 years older." Kurenai responded promptly. "He is a shinobi which means he's seen as an adult and he won't even be a genin after these exams." Anko stuck her tongue out at Kurenai earning a scowl. Yugao was used to the slut/saint dynamic and never batted an eye as she slowly drank her sake. "Anko, I heard he removed your seal. I know it's a sensitive topic, but is it true?" Yugao asked. Anko nearly ripped off her trench coat in her efforts to show off the place where her seal had been. "Yupp, the gaki's good, real good. Look." Anko said, showing them the new seal on her forearm.

"It's completely redone and has nothing to do with that snake anymore. This new seal doesn't affect me mentally and I can probably beat Kakashi how he is now if I use it." Yugao and Kurenai's eyes widened as the questions started flowing from their mouths like a damn that'd been broken. "Nope, I can't say anything, it's not my place." Anko responded with a smirk. "How did Naruto and Hinata get so strong? Even Sasuke, who's Kakashi's apprentice, couldn't keep up." Kurenai asked. "I'm not sure but the gaki is gifted. Gifted in ways I don't even understand."

"From what I know, Naruto and Hinata have trained together for years. Naruto had a sensei for a couple of years when he was younger too. Actually, now that I think about it, it makes all the sense in the world." Yugao thought aloud. "Well who was the gaki's sensei?" Anko asked. "It was a crow masked anbu. Anbu identities are classified but his mission to train Naruto wasn't." Yugao said after a moment of thought. Anko spit out the dengo she'd just took a bit of and loudly whispered, "Itachi fucking Uchiha?" Kurenai's jaw dropped as she looked at Yugao for confirmation. Yugao glared at anko before saying, "classified information shouldn't be revealed at dengo shops." "Aw relax, he's not even a part of this village anymore." Anko said.

"I guess it does make sense, wow. If he trained with Hinata I can see why she's so strong too, especially with her brain. I need more sake." Kurenai motioned for a lot more sake. She was feeling inadequate. Anko was wondering when she'd get to repay the blonde for his help. He'd released her from her eternal burden and curse so she would repay the favor in her own way. "You two do realize war might be inevitable, right?" Yugao inquired. "Guess that means I need to whip you two in shape. We're gonna be the sexiest and strongest kunoichi on the battlefield!" Anko responded. Kurenai chuckled, she was beginning to feel the alcohol they were drinking. "I guess I could use some sparring partners, I can't let these little genin outdo me." Kurenai said. "Seems like I'll be going for the position of anbu commander soon." Yugao mused as she took another sip of sake.

Hinata arrived back at the Nami-Uzu compound a bit later than expected. Her clan elders were demanding answers before she left and even threatened to stop her marriage if she didn't answer. Hiashi had none of that and knew they'd have to answer to the council soon so he didn't feel the need to pressure out an answer. Hinata was carrying a large sealing scroll that had a bunch of smaller sealing scrolls sealed inside.

She took them to Haku's building and found a room to set up in. She couldn't find Haku and assumed she'd be cooking at Naruto's or still out with Sakura. She couldn't see through the buildings in the compound thanks to seals. Naruto had even placed new seals on the bathhouse to her ire. Haku was indeed preparing dinner. Cooking was her favorite hobby. She was never able to enjoy her food or cooking in general with Zabuza so she did it as much as she could since she got to konoha.

Tsunade and shizune were let into the compound by a Naruto clone, apparently, he'd sensed them coming. Although Tsunade wanted to speak with Naruto, she wanted to relax and wash the stress of the day off first, so she headed to the only bathhouse in fire country that was safe from Jiraiya. She and Shizune took their time, enjoying themselves and found Haku, Hinata, and Naruto waiting for them when they made their way to Naruto's home. Naruto clones set the table and put the bottles of sake in some hot water.

With the money from the hospital, Haku bought a fancy tabletop grill to imitate a barbeque restaurant. By the looks on everyone's faces, she'd outdone herself. As everyone was taking their seats around the large table in the kitchen, Tsunade quickly grabbed Naruto by the collar and dragged him away and out of earshot from everyone else. "Pour the sake, we'll be right back," she said. Naruto didn't like being manhandled and released chains to get the woman off of him. To his surprise, Tsunade channeled futon chakra to her other hand and swiftly cut his chains which left Naruto gawking.

"Your mom had these chains too and a nasty temper on top of that. Now I need to speak to you." Tsunade said, giving Naruto a stern yet soft glare. Gathering himself and eventually getting her to let him go, Naruto waited for a question. "Naruto, what's your connection with Danzo?" "So the Hokage's gotten to you already. You can tell him I don't know what he's talking about." "Damnit gaki, I'm not asking for the village, fuck this village. I just need to know if Danzo's turned you into one of his puppets. Let me see your tongue."

"I'm nobody's puppet and Danzo couldn't place that seal on me if he wanted to. I'm not one of the empty minded tools in root." Tsunade took a second to think about what he'd just said. If Danzo had placed one of root's seals on him then he wouldn't even be able to mention root. "Then what is your connection with him? You can't trust him, he just wants to use you to gain power in the village. Naruto, you have to trust me on this. Please." Naruto was almost annoyed by the worry he was sensing from the blonde senju even if a small part of him was glad she cared.

"All you need to know is that I've made my own decision. I'll be fine, I know exactly who I'm working with, and I have safeguards in place." He didn't tell her about the genjutsu the warhawk had tried to put on Naruto but he really did have a few backup plans and strategies in case dealing with the old warhawk goes wrong in the future. Tsunade glared at Naruto who returned a glare in kind. After a moment of battling wills, Tsunade sighed and gave her blonde proclaimed grandson a hug.

"Listen gaki, I don't understand but you're obviously not some just some genin or kid so I'll trust you. If you need me, find a way to contact me, I'll find you. Now let's go back, I need some sake." They returned and dinner went smoothly. Haku received many drunken compliments from Naruto and Tsunade who ate like their stomach had a black hole. Luckily, Haku was more than prepared. Hinata was the first to get drunk and went on a lengthy rant about old fart hyugas meddling when they should be minding their business.

Naruto had to be held back by Haku and Shizune because Hinata's rant made him feel the need to improve his chances of survival with certain elderly hyugas. Naruto and Tsunade had a competition to see who could drink the most sake and unfortunately, the older senju didn't have a tailed beast sealed within her and passed out giving Naruto the win. He'd tried to suppress kurama's healing effects but the more he drank the less he was able to.

Shizune knew it was her cue to find rooms for her and Tsunade when Haku and Hinata were taking turns making out with Naruto. Shizune dragged her mentor to a room before finding one for herself and Tonton. The last thing she saw before they left the room was Hinata and Haku making out and Shizune wondered how good of an idea it was to leave these three alone. To be young, she mused.

A few days later the council convened to discuss chunin promotions and reports regarding iwa. Outlook was bleak but the future of konoha's young shinobi was brighter than ever. Hiruzen looked over at the gathered council hoping to kami they didn't waste his time. He was giving up his hat before the war, even if he had to give it to Jiraiya or Danzo. Hiruzen was tired.

"First off, I believe we should start with the chunin candidates. Anyone who competed in the final round is up for consideration. Let's start with those who lost in the first round. Rock Lee, Tenten Higurashi, Neji Hyuga, and Shino Aburame and Sai. Personally, I believe only Shino is fit for chunin, the others i've mentioned only attempted to overwhelm their opponent with their specialties. A chunin must be able to plan and adapt to win a battle instead of simply being stronger than their opponent. Shino displayed impressive skill in distraction and stealth tactics despite fighting in an open arena, his plan of attack would've been fatal for most genin. Most members of the council nodded and shikaku added his opinion, "I believe we agree with your opinion.

Although Lee and Neji are strong enough to be chunin, Neji's arrogance, and Lee's one track mindset need improving before they achieve chunin. It could prove fatal should they lead a team. We didn't see much of Sai which is understandable considering his opponent but we can't give him the promotion without seeing more out of him." Hiruzen nodded, glad that it'd been so easy, so far. "So Shino will be promoted to chunin. Next we'll discuss Sasuke's promotion. Though arrogant, he's shown superb ninjutsu skills and although his kenjutsu needs work, it pairs well with his sharingan.

He's shown a tactical mindset and would make a decent chunin. Does anyone have anything to add?" The shinobi council said nothing but Sakuri Haruna did. "Hokage-same, don't you think Uchiha-sama deserves special jounin or perhaps jonin rank?" "No, I do not and I believe the shinobi council would agree with me. He isn't ready or strong enough yet for the responsibilities of special jounin or jonin." Hiruzen responded and the shinobi council nodded in confirmation. "Next up for discussion is Hinata Hyuga.

Her taijutsu is unmatched among genin and even chunin ranked shinobi. Her surprising show of ninjutsu and, even more surprising, masterful use of a kekkei genkai aside from her byakugan was truly special to see from one so young. She was prepared to face a jinchuriki when our genin weren't even taught of jinchuriki's existence and defeated said jinchuriki skillfully. Her talent in suiton ninjutsu is rare and I have high hopes for Hinata as a kunoichi of this village. I not only support a promotion to chunin but I highly recommend special jounin rank in the areas of tracking, ninjutsu, and taijutsu.

Once she receives more experience, I recommend she should be considered for jonin." Hiruzen said proudly. The Shinobi council muttered among themselves and a civilian counselor made his opinion known. "I support the promotion to special jounin and I propose a marriage between the hyuga girl and the uchiha to integrate their bloodlines together." The civilian counselor said. "Never!" Said Hiashi, furious at the councilman's audacity. Tsunade, who'd agreed in silence so far, wasn't having it. They weren't about to just whore out her adopted grandson's fiance.

"Hell No! She's engaged and if you say something like that again. I'll ruin your marriage by ripping off your precious little parts." She said angrily. The counselor went silent but that didn't stop koharu. "What about the girl living in the Namikaze-Uzumaki compound? She's actually a member of the Yuki clan, the last one if I'm correct." Koharu said. Tsunade was preparing to jump over the ridiculously large round table they were all seated around but Hiruzen held up a hand. "The girl is under the Nami-Uzu clan's protection. She will decide what she does and who she marries as part of her deal to come to konoha. Hinata is already formally engaged so enough talk about engagements. We are discussing the chunin exams." Hiruzen said firmly.

Shibi Aburame stood to speak for the shinobi side of the council. If they were in general agreement they'd let one speak for them all to save time. "The shinobi council agrees and highly endorse Hinata Hyuga's promotion to special jounin for similar reasons as you Hokage-sama." He said. "Alright, Hinata will be promoted to special jounin. Last on today's list is Naruto Namikaze-Uzumaki. As you know, he was the winner of the tournament and undoubtedly the strongest genin in the village. He displayed beyond chunin level speed, kenjutsu, and ninjutsu. He's shown the ability to win with overwhelming strength and tactics. His chakra capacity is far beyond my own and his chakra control seems to be better than the last senju, my student, Tsunade.

With the unveiling of the first hokage's bloodline, mokuton. I'm sure you can imagine his new value to this village. Unlike Yamato, Naruto isn't held back by chakra reserves or limited by chakra control and he's already displayed mokuton abilities beyond Yamato's. Naruto was able to suppress a raging jinchuriki who'd nearly transformed into his bijuu and I'm sure he was behind Hinata's bijuu suppression seal. Also, although it possibly caused a fucking war. He soundly defeated the pride of iwa, the tsuchikage's granddaughter herself. Excuse my language but I'm sure you can understand my frustration. I recommend jonin rank outright but will settle for no less than a special jounin."

Hiruzen had gotten everything he'd wanted out of the yondaime's son and the village's jinchuriki. Naruto was strong and had the potential to rival the founders of the village. Naruto killing Kurotsuchi was his and the village's fault just as much as it was the boys and war with Iwa would've happened sooner or later. The best he could do was support Naruto until he could give up his hat to the next Hokage. Gasps were heard from members on the civilian council while the shinobi council once again murmured to themselves.

"He should be imprisoned or shown some discipline for his actions in the exam. Are we going to ignore the fact that a war is knocking on our door because of the demon brat." The same civilian counselor as before screamed. Tsunade wasted no time in using her sannin speed in a quick burst to appear behind the counselor who'd spoken. Tsunade sent a single punch to the back of the man's head as Jiraiya and Hiruzen were beginning to react but it was too late. The man's head exploded in a shower of red mist with fleshy chunks.

The gathered council stood in stunned silence as Tsunade calmly walked back to her seat drenched in blood. Reminiscent of her proclaimed grandson, her hair was dyed crimson. "If I'm correct, the law regarding Naruto's status is still in effect is it not? I support his promotion to jonin." She said coldly. Hiruzen sighed and nodded. "Anbu remove the corpse and clean as much of the blood as you can while not interfering with the meeting. Proceed." The aged hokage said. The civilian council was scared silent due to the hokage's lack of action regarding his students murder that left blood all over them.

"I endorse his promotion to jounin. Because of the boy, our village was reaffirmed as the strongest hidden village even in our new generation." Danzo said which surprised more than a few on the council. "I think it is unwise to promote such an untrustworthy genin directly to jonin and I believe there are questions about his mental stability." Homura said. "At first thought, I'd agree but when I think of his fights, I can tell he was mentally in control and thought through his actions despite his uhh.. Eccentricities. I believe he's straddling the line of sanity but with what I've seen and his mission reports, he's fit for duty." Inoichi chimed in. "Jonin is a huge responsibility. Are you sure the gaki's ready to lead?" Jiraiya asked.

"According to Yamato he shows the qualities of a fine leader. He thinks ahead, has a tactical mindset in battle, and recognizes his teammates' strengths." Hiruzen responded. "I've known Naruto for many years and just as gifted he is in the shinobi arts, he's just as reliable. I endorse a promotion to jonin for the young Namikaze as well." Hiashi said. HIruzen gave Shukaku a probing look since he was the jonin commander. He nodded in confirmation.

"So most of us are in agreement so Naruto will be promoted to jonin. Now, we will discuss the matter of team 7's miraculous bloodlines once we discuss the matter of iwa and we also have disconcerting news from Tsuna. It would be best if Jiraiya provided the intel his spy network has gathered so I'll give the floor to him." Hiruzen said. "Iwa has officially ended all peace and trade agreements between the land of fire, konoha, and its allies.

Reports suggest a heightened presence at the iwa border and further reports suggest they are preparing for war. I believe at this point, peace is unavoidable. Konoha would better spend its time preparing for war as well rather than try for peace. It seems they began preparations before the exam even began which leaves me to believe they intended to kill Naruto and as many genin as they could in the exams. It would explain why their genin teams were given special scrolls to locate each other in the forest and why he'd entered his own granddaughter who's been on multiple b and a-rank missions into the chunin exams. I believe conflict was iwa's intention from the beginning.

Tsuna lost its kage a few weeks before the exams and they still don't know who was leading them disguised as the Kazekage up til the first part of the exams. Apparently the imposter disappeared when they sent genin teams to Konoha and never returned. After doing some digging I found evidence of Tsuna testing our borders before the exams as well as some disturbing troop mobilization that dispersed once we raised the village's security to such an extent. With a war in the near future, I'm not sure we can or should rely on Tsuna." Jiriaya finished.

Danzo smirked inwardly, he'd left traces for the toad sage to follow and it'd worked without him being implicated with Orochimaru. He'd give more for him to find if it becomes necessary. A somber atmosphere took hold of the gathered council, war was just all but confirmed. Sakuri and some of the other civilian council members wanted to find a way to punish Naruto but they still had wet blood on them from their recently murdered associate which seemed to dissuade dissension. "Hokage-sama, am I right in assuming we'll be transitioning to wartime policies and procedures from now on?" Shukaku asked.

"Yes, effective immediately we will be operating under Konoha's war charter. There will be no more d-ranks, or any missions outside of the land of fire unless crucial. Shinobi will be assigned training regimens from a specialized organization we will soon form. Reserve shinobi will be activated and we'll accept as many new recruits as possible. The academy will be more centered directly around combat and early graduation will be given to those who are qualified. They will be trained for as long as possible before conflict. Chunin and jounin promotion exams will be held internally every few months but we won't lower the standard of our ranks. Village security will be tightened significantly and visitors without specific reasons and identification, will be denied. I hope you all understand the gravity of the situation the village is in." The sandaime responded.

The meeting proceeded until they'd discussed all they could regarding the new war policies to be put in place. They took a short break at the hokage's command to summon the newly promoted genin. Their sensei's would be notified. After about 30 minutes Naruto, Hinata, Shino, and Sasuke were gathered before the council. Hiruzen began, "We've called the four of you here today to discuss the results of the recent chunin exams. As you know, these exams were far more deadly than previous exams in any village and you four were among the strongest and most cunning. Sasuke, Shino please step forward."

They did as commanded, Sasuke with an arrogant smirk and Shino with a stoic expression. "Shino Aburame, your tactical mindset along with an impressive show of skills in stealth, doton jutsu, and your bugs will help you be a fine chunin for the Leaf village. Congratulations Chunin, Shino Aburame." Shino received a scroll with a chunin flak jacket from an anbu who'd appeared next to Hiruzen. Shino simply nodded his appreciation and stepped back in line with Naruto and Hinata.

"Sasuke Uchiha, through your matches you've shown impressive skills in the three main shinobi arts, Ninjutsu, genjutsu, and taijutsu. You plan your attacks well and are able to adapt on the fly. You, as well, will make a fine chunin of the leaf village. Congratulations, Chunin Sasuke Uchiha." Sasuke simply smirked as he received his chunin vest but his smirk soon dropped when he realized Naruto and Hinata weren't asked to step forward with him and shino. Sasuke stepped back in line with the others and gritted his teeth hoping what he thought was about to happen wasn't going to happen.

"Hinata hyuga step forward. I wouldn't be honest if I said we expected such strength and diverse skillset as you displayed in the exams. Your unique jyuken style of taijutsu is truly fearsome and your ninjutsu is advanced even for a chunin. Not to mention your mysterious bloodline. You're cunning in battle and we've decided to promote you to the rank of tokubetsu jounin. You'll have jounin clearance but won't have all the responsibilities and duties of a jounin until you gain more experience. Congratulations, special jounin, Hinata Hyuga."

"Thank you Hokage-sama," Hinata responded before all but ripping the scroll with her jounin flak jacket out of the anbu's hand. She returned to her spot in line but was sure to give the Uchiha a smirk. Sasuke's sharingan flared to life and he was ready to demand an explanation on who he was only a chunin but he caught splashes of blood on some of the civilian council members out of the corner of the eye and suddenly felt the need to drop it. Hiruzen took a puff from a pipe he'd been packing while he spoke and continued. "Naruto Uzumaki, step forward.

I'll be frank, the power you displayed is beyond anything a genin or chunin should be able to do. Even many jounin would fall to you as you are now despite the lack of experience. Your kenjutsu and ninjutsu are undoubtedly jounin level and your genjutsu is strong as well though the true extent of it we don't know. Although you tend to use overwhelming power you have a keen battle sense and are unpredictably strategic which pairs well with your ridiculous chakra reserves and even more ridiculous control. We've decided to promote you to jounin. I believe you are strong enough to gain experience in the field operating fully as a jounin. Congratulations, jounin Naruto Namikazi-Uzumaki."

Naruto nodded and retried his scroll before returning to stand with the others. He had a feeling they'd have more than a few questions for him and his team so he doubted they'd be leaving anytime soon. "Sasuke, that is all. You are dismissed. We must speak with these three." Hiruzen said. Sasuke left after giving a scowl to his fellow former genin, mainly a hyuga. She was number 2 on his shit list.

"Now, we'd like to know how you can perform mokuton, Naruto. How you can perform Hyoton, Hinata. And how you're able to heal your wounds at such a rate, Shino. As I'm sure you're aware, these things aren't something you can simply learn." Hiruzen said. The room went eerily silent in anticipation, this was one topic everyone in the room wanted desperately to hear. Naruto gave a nod to both of his teammates before responding. "I was able to recreate kekkei genkai within me and my teammates with a secret clan jutsu." Naruto said evenly. He knew where learning of his ability to recreate and integrate bloodlines would lead to and was prepared, thanks to Hinata.

"What do you mean by recreate?" Tsume Inuzuka asked. "I mean that I now have the mokuton bloodline, Hinata has the hyoton bloodline, and Shino has the Old-blood bloodline." Naruto responded, holding back as much information as he could. There were a few gasps before Hiruzen spoke up again. "Naruto, the question is how? With war on the horizon, an ability like this could make all the difference." "How it's done is a Nami-Uzu clan secret. I haven't seen the Hyuga, Akimichi, Yamanaka, or Nara clans teaching their clan techniques or secrets so I'm sure you don't expect the Nami-Uzu clan to share theirs." Naruto responded coolly. "Alright gaki, enough games, how'd you do it?" Jiraiya asked.

"My clan definitely won't be sharing its secrets with a pervert." Naruto responded to the sannin's ire. "As of now I'm the clan head of the Nami-Uzu clan and our clan secrets and techniques will no longer be exploited by this village. They will be wielded and used by members of the clan and certain friends of the clan," he continued. Hinata and Tsunade giggled at Naruto's pervert jab at jiraiya but the council didn't seem to be enjoying the answers they were receiving.

"I must stand behind the Nami-Uzu clan's decision to not reveal its secrets. Clan rights should be respected and our techniques and secrets are ours to keep." Hiashi said which earned nods of affirmation from a few other clan heads despite how they felt about the situation. "Perhaps a different question would yield better results. Does this ability have anything to do with your doujutsu? Are you the only one able to perform such a secret technique? Or can it be taught to the rest of your clan?" Shikaku asked, hoping to get something to build on from Naruto.

"Your questions are about the criteria of a clan secret jutsu so all I will say is, I'm the only one able to give a bloodline to another at this moment." Naruto responded. "Would it be possible to give anyone a bloodline?" Shukaku asked. "Potentially, yes there is probably a bloodline that would acclimate well with nearly anyone. Unfortunately, bloodlines given with my clan's secret jutsu are considered clan techniques meaning I will not be giving anyone the village pleases a bloodline." Naruto was forced to restrain a smile as he finished due to Kurama's laughing fit at the faces of the council members.

Naruto's answer was followed by outrage. Civilian councilors were loudly voicing their disagreement and Hiruzen was more than annoyed. Naruto obviously wasn't oblivious to politics and clan rights was a very touchy subject to toy with where the aged hokage was concerned. "Outrageous! This war is because you can't restrain your urges. If you can give bloodlines you will do what the village asks!" Koharu screamed, which earned a giggle from Hinata.

"Naruto, you are a shinobi of this village, if you are able to increase the strength of its shinobi, I'd be remiss not to order you to do so." Hiruzen said. "So am I to assume the Hyuga clan's jyuken will be accessible to the general public in the shinobi library? The secrets of shadow manipulation, the yamanaka's mind jutsu, the akimichi's expansion jutsu, the inuzuka clan's manbeast jutsu, or maybe even the secrets of the kurama clan's genjutsu. That might be interesting." Naruto mused.

"Damnit brat, listen, we are going to war. Thousands of lives will be on the line. An ability could be necessary for the village's survival. Are you only able to do it because of the seigan or is it something that can be taught to others? How is it done?" Jirayia interjected, growing tired of the brat dodging all of the council's questions. "I don't care how many lives will be lost. I will improve the chances of survival for myself and those close to me. I know what this village wants and you won't have it. I already carry a burden for this village. The Uzumaki have been used as sacrifices for this village to contain the kyuubi since the village was founded and we've received nothing in return. My father gave his life and his son to be betrayed by the village he loved.

My clan and I will no longer be exploited by an ungrateful, undeserving village. You get no more of our seals, no more of our children to jail the kyuubi, and no more of our secrets and techniques. All the other clans have kept theirs to themselves but the village has stolen Uzumaki seals, jutsu, and techniques as well as used Uzumaki children as sacrifices for a biju.

The main kenjutsu style used by konoha is the uzumaki's! The sealing barrier that alerts and protects the village, Uzumaki! The fucking swirl on our headbands and uniforms, Uzumaki! Most of the nidaime's created jutsu were just modified uzumaki jutsu and the seals from the raijin no ken, UZUMAKI! The Hyuga's caged bird seal Uzumaki! And the seal was perverted which the Uzumaki never would've allowed!

The reason Konoha stands in this location today is because the Uzumaki brokered a deal to seal away a curse from the kyuubi that was set upon the royal family. It's all in Mito Uzumaki's memoir, my mother had it. This village has trampled on the Uzumaki for generations in a so-called friendship yet they don't even teach about the clan in the academy. The Namikaze name was trampled when you allowed this village to condemn and very nearly kill me.

You get nothing else without payment of mine or my clan's discretion. We won't be a part of this village's dirty secrets from here on out. You want bloodlines because the clans of konoha have grown weak in times of peace. You want them because konoha's main clan jutsu are just imitations of one. I can see it in the Nara, Akimichi, Yamanaka, and Inuzuka clans. You want a true bloodline because your imitations are limited. You can't combine the chakras needed which is why they're secret techniques not bloodlines.

This village has no right to demand more from the Uzumaki when other clans have maintined their secrets, traditions, and techniques. You, will, get, nothing, from us, this village be damned." "Enough!" Hiruzen, Jiraiya, and surprisingly Danzo screamed seemingly in unison, but Naruto seemed to ignore them. "I will be the last uzumaki to carry the kyuubi and since we are the only ones with a strong enough life force to survive more than 10 years, I'll be the last jinchuriki.

My father was the last to see the Uzumaki seals and if my mother's memoir was correct, all Uzumaki seals were returned to her and now me. Any seals regarding the sealing of biju are sealed away tighter than kurama himself. I've placed an unadulterated caged bird seal who's only function is to protect my doujutsu. No seal will hold me so I will tell you now." Naruto was cut off by Hiruzen who spoke with all the seriousness of his position. "Naruto you're crossing the line." "Let me tell you now! Any more attacks, exploitation, or treachery from this village and the Nami-Uzu clan will leave! I've already sent a list of grievances to the fire daimyo with both clan crests along with a personal letter from the former Hyuga heir and the last Senju.

Once my grievances are approved I'll be well within my right to remove my clan and all its assets from this village. The Kyuubi himself promised me he will personally protect my clan and friends if I'm forced to release him. I don't fear a kage and I definitely don't fear death. I had no choice in my role in this village a now I'll ensure I'm the last. The Namikaze-Uzumaki clan will be treated with the respect and honor it deserves or I will remove the uzumaki's imprint on konoha!" Naruto then showed them a seal on his arm that was eerily similar to the Hyuga's caged bird seal and it was all met with almost unprecedented outrage in the council room.

The civilian council was in an uproar, nearly frothing at the mouth. Danzo was seething but he already knew where Naruto stood and would mold him to lead Konoha one way or another though his 'usual' approach to this situation wouldn't work. The boy wasn't lying, seals placed on him could be removed by a whim, he'd learned that. A mental approach would be greeted by the kyuubi and Danzo theorized the boy's seigan has some mental form of attack or defense.

Possibly torture could work but only if a biju and chakra suppressing seal would hold up against the boys seigan. Keeping him restrained would be a task indeed. Danzo had used the most of his time training Naruto to analyze everything and Naruto was a fearsome opponent to attempt to control. One mistake and the boy would have no problem allowing the kyuubi to take the vengeance he'd always wanted. Danzo wouldn't allow that or allow anyone to stand in the way of the village's future leader so he was ready to intervene if need be.

Hiruzen was at a loss for words, had he really allowed the boy to grow so distant and confrontational to the village. Had they really relid on the uzumaki so much that they had no other options should the boy leave or die releasing the beast. Could the village survive such a thing with iwas knocking on the door with two jinchuriki's? The boy's potential and power couldn't be wasted and the prospects of losing their jinchuuriki with Naruto was unacceptable. The fire daimyo being involved made it a political nightmare.

If they forcefully took Naruto's seigan or made him give out bloodlines by means of mental manipulation or torture, their relationship with clans and the fire daimyo could be unrepairable after the war. A village's dirty secrets in the light could mean the end of said village. Tsunade Senju was fully on Naruto's side and ready to defend him if need be. He'd asked for her help and she wrote a letter to the daimyo without a second thought. She had a lot to make up for and would start fighting the whole leaf village if possible.

Shino was nervous but he'd decided with his hive that Naruto was just as much family as the clan. Shino's bloodline could save many aburame in the future due to their over logical thinking and poor taijutsu skills. He'd become a missing nin for his teammate because he knew Naruto would attack the hokage himself for his sake. Hinata had her byakugan activated, she was a part of the Nami-Uzu clan now, she understood Naruto's reasons so she'd support them fully, even if they were forced to fight the strongest shinobi in the village before being executed.

"Naruto-san, I understand where your plight, the Aburame clan would consider leaving Konoha as well in your position, but this may be a bit much. If it will help calm the situation from such drastic circumstances, the aburame clan stands behind the Namikaze-Uzumaki's decision to withhold their clan secrets and techniques. As clan head he has the right to deem any of his abilities as clan secret." Shibi Aburame announced. "I agree with Shibi although I'd like to speak with Naruto privately about the caged bird seal, I was unaware of its perversion." Hiashi added.

"That's treason gaki! You may have the clans with your politics, but you will do what you must to protect this village!" Jiraiya said in an angry outburst. Naruto was the village's jinchuriki, his duty was to this village and Jiraiya's duty was to train the village's next tool to preserve the strength of konoha. Jiraiya wasn't going accept the words he was hearing from this fucking brat.

"Listen boy, you will show us how it was done and provide the service to the council's chosen elite, or we'll torture it out of you!" Naruto's seigan flared violently, casting a deep blue light across the council room. "Anyone who tries will Improve my chances of survival!" Naruto answered threateningly. Hiruzen was too old for this, all he could do was sigh. He wasn't going to force Naruto into anything because they were already on the cusp of losing the strongest of the next generation. They had to tread very carefully and rash decisions weren't the right move.

Hiruzen was experienced and could tell Shino and Hinata were preparing to defend the boy. The situation had too many politics and negative consequences if they tread wrong and he was exhausted. All he wanted was a strong jinchuriki. The aged hokage deemed it best to let the boy and the council go at it. He'd choose a successor soon and they will deal with it. Jiraiya felt like it was enough and the hokage seemed to want to only smoke his pipe in peace so jiraiya felt the need to take the situation in his own hands.

Using his sannin speed, the toad sage appeared in front of Naruto with seals glowing in the palms of his hands. He slammed his hands into Naruto's gut and stepped back with a vicious smirk on his face. "Now, I bet you'll change your tune with your biju and chakra sealed. Now how'd you do it gaki?" Naruto ignored Jiraiya as he felt the connection with Kurama and his chakra be taken away.

Naruto was furious, chakra was his to command and an old pervert wouldn't take it away. Naruto's seigan had deactivated when Jiraiya placed his seal but Naruto could still feel the power behind his eyes. Almost as if they created their own chakra which they did, in a sense. Naruto reactivated his seigan and glared at Jiraiya as he absorbed the seals and reopened his connection to Kurama and his chakra.

"Kit fuck that old pervert we're gunna make his ass pay. Channel my chakra through your seigan and cast bringer of darkness, it might not work if you use your own." Kurama said quickly to Naruto. Naruto didn't know if it'd work, he hadn't perfected that one despite how well it suited him. Just hadn't had the time but kurama could probably help if he used his chakra. So Naruto did just that and flooded the room with kurama and his seigans chakra and performed, meigan bringer of darkness.

Immediately the room went completely dark and silent to all but Naruto, Hinata, and Shino. Kurama's chakra would make the genjutsu strong enough to affect everyone else for a few moments. Naruto summoned his sword and sent a downward slash towards Jiraiya, planning on bifurcating the old shinobi. Jiraiya used his honed senses to step back but the sudden genjutsu left Jiraiya distracted him enough to receive a shallow cut across his chest.

Jiraiya dodged another slash from Naruto before he was able to dispel the genjutsu just as Hinata sent a barrage of jyuken strikes toward the gama sennin. There wasn't much room to fight in the council room which left the sannin at a disadvantage and Jiraiya took a couple strikes before grabbing her wrist and flipping her towards Naruto. Jiraiya was then forced to duck a slash from shino's tanto that would've beheaded him before he sent a kick to the young aburame's stomach sending him across the council table and into the wall.

Naruto was nearly able to take off Jiraiya's head with his own follow up slash but the toad sage was able to grab Naruto's sword holding wrist. Naruto launched a close range barrage of chains that Jiraiya was somehow able to maneuver around. Naruto's chains suddenly cleared and Jiraiya wasn't prepared for the hyuga to appear from behind Naruto, sending an airpalm that rocketed Jiraiya towards the other wall. The rest of the council was caught off guard by the genjutsu and the quick exchange and Hiruzen simply watched on once he dispelled it.

He knew Tsunade wouldn't let Jiraiya go too far and he doubted the kids could do much to a sannin until he saw Jiraiya go flying. The odds were against him in such a tight space and after that genjutsu and Hiruzen could see that Jiraiya was underestimating his new opponents. Hiruzen wondered what retired life would be like right now. Naruto channeled raiton chakra in his sword and was about to blast a hole through Jiraiya before he could get up but a firm hand gripped his. He looked up to see Danzo giving him a glare. Jiraiya quickly popped back up and charged Naruto but was sent right back into the wall by a furious Tsunade who now stood between him and Naruto's team.

The civilian counselors, koharu, Choza Akimichi, and Tsume Inuzuka were still under the genjutsu although the latter three weren't screaming bloody murder. Their shinobi experience allowed them to know that they weren't under immediate attack although people were fighting. "Release the genjutsu, now." Danzo said coldly. Naruto stared defiantly at Danzo but relented in the end. Once everyone was released from the genjutsu Hiruzen felt it time to take control of the room.

"ENOUGH, Jiraiya, you are dismissed for the rest of this meeting, go calm your mind. Naruto we will respect your clan's rights and there will be no foul play regarding you and your clan but I will not allow threats nor disrespect towards Konoha. Do you understand?" Hiruzen leveled a glare at Naruto that meant it was his final straw. "Fine, Hokage-sama," Naruto said flatly.

"Now to get this meeting back on track, I'm sure that there's some agreement that can be made for your clan's services." Hiruzen said. Naruto was currently fighting his need to improve his survival, Jiraiya's attack now had him on edge. Hinata put a hand on Naruto's shoulder and spoke in his stead. Naruto had come to her with a problem and this was her solution so she could begin her matriarch duties now.

"The Namikaze-Uzumaki clan will accept offers for its services but the price will be high. More money than the clan already has isn't needed so no monetary offers will be accepted. They will all be up to Naruto-kuns discretion. If, and I only mean, If, he accepts he will give a bloodline of his choosing. More information will be given if a deal is to be made. Right, Naruto-kun?" Hinata said with a giggle that cut through the tense atmosphere. Naruto took a deep breath and nodded. He wanted to say 'fuck konoha they won't get anything' but Hinata's plans usually tended to be the right path and his plan was to improve his chances of survival with anyone who demanded a bloodline from him. He'd go with her plan for now.

"What would you be looking for if we were to place an offer for a bloodline?" Naruto had made his point so he motioned for Hinata to speak in his stead again. "A bloodline would benefit any clan or family greatly, we're looking for non-monetary compensation that would benefit our clan just as much. This is all we have to say regarding Nami-Uzu clan secrets." Hinata said. "Girl what do you mean we?" Sakuri interjected.

"My esteemed daughter is now a Namikaze-Uzumaki and will soon be wed to Naruto. I hope there will be no comments regarding their marriage or their children. As you can expect, the Hyuga clan still backs its former heir and will not stand for anything of the like." Hiashi said. They'd been able to keep it a secret for as long as possible from certain members on the council so they wouldn't get any early ideas on what to do with any possible kids. Sakuri was thinking just that but decided it wasn't the time with such a tense day.

"I expect to receive our clan assets, all of them, and all financial records for the past 13 years. Now, are we done here?" Naruto said. "Yes, the three of you may leave. The nami-uzu clan will receive everything by weeks end. If you plan on taking on the council seats, you'll have responsibilities as a member of the council. I suggest speaking to another clan head to learn more of the role you'll be undertaking. Dismissed." Hiruzen sighed as Hinata, Naruto, and Shino left the room.

He wished he could leave too. "Hokage-sama, the boy must be punished for his treasonous words and his team as well for assaulting a higher ranking shinobi." Koharu said, earning nods from those on the civilian council. "This meeting has already gone too long and they will not be punished. Naruto is a special case so his hatred can be tolerated for the moment as long as he doesn't act upon it. Jiraiya attacked first as well, there will be no charges."

"Hokage-sama, am I correct in the observation that Naruto removed a chakra seal placed by Jiraiya himself? I'm sure he was responsible for the genjutsu that blinded us all and I'm not the most familiar with seals but I believe Jiraiya successfully placed the seal on Naruto. If it was a chakra sealing seal, how did Naruto break free?" Shukaku asked. "I'm not sure but if I had to guess, it's a clan secret technique." Hiruzen responded, eliciting chuckles from some on the shinobi council and the defeated nature at which it was said.

"We must find a way to gain Naruto's loyalty. It seems Shino and Hinata have chosen to follow Naruto, they won't be able to keep him in the village. I would go as far to assume they'd readily leave with him. It would be a major blow to the future of this village to lose those three." Inoichi said. "What makes you say that? The hyuga and aburame have multiple ties to this village. Why wouldn't they convince him to stay?" Tsume asked.

"Without hesitation, they attacked a sannin to defend Naruto. Those weren't defensive attacks, If it was anyone other than a jounin or above they'd be dead. The loyalty between those three is strong, it'll be them first, village second." Hiruzen's own thoughts only confirmed what he'd heard from Inoichi. "We can discuss what to do in that regard privately, I have a few ideas in mind already. For now you're dismissed, we'll reconvene tomorrow to hash out the finer details."

A few days later, Shino was speaking with his father. His bugs were reacting with his bloodline and he was running into problems he couldn't find a logical answer to. "My bugs are evolving, every kind of bug I have stored within me seems to be enhanced as they reproduce. They're faster, more durable, and they reproduce nearly ten times the normal rate. I only have a couple of days until I'm no longer able to store them. I won't kill my bugs and they aren't able to slow their reproduction anymore. It would be logical to release them but there must be a more logical solution," Shino said thoughtfully. "I see.

It is most logical to attempt to preserve as much as your hive as possible though I'm unable to see an answer. The clan has attempted seals in the past to carry more bugs but it's always been inefficient and most of the bugs would die. Sealing isn't our best attribute, perhaps your uzumaki friend may be able to assist you. They're renowned for sealing and from what I hear, Naruto is special in the art." Shibi responded. "Sealing is a logical solution assuming my bugs would still be able to integrate between the seal and my chakra system. I will ask if there's anything he can do. Thank you."

"I can train with you to acclimate your bug's new abilities to our clan jutsu, I look forward to seeing how they've grown. Will your team be disbanded now that you've all been promoted?" "Our team will stay together for now. Naruto will be the jounin leader and we'll be receiving one more member on the team. We'll take missions with other teams as well if we aren't all available but the Hokage wants us to gain experience on higher ranked missions as a team." "That would be logical, your teammates received higher promotions, but your experience is the same.

With how well you work together, it would be more beneficial for the team to remain intact while you acclimate to higher missions. Do you know who your other teammate will be since Naruto will be the jounin on the team?" "I don't, we will meet them on our first team mission in a month. Naruto and Hinata have time off for clan business." "I see, have you thought over what I said regarding joining anbu and have you looked over our proposal for more of your bloodline, Shino?" "Yes, I believe our proposal is most logical to present to Naruto. For anbu, I believe I would be a fine fit, although I do not want to leave my team just yet."

"Hmm, I understand your reasons are most logical. Will you present our proposal to Naruto-san when you see him next?" "Yes, I will see him tonight. Hinata believes she can get him to go to the celebratory dinner, paid by Kakashi." Shibi gave Shino a questioning glance prompting shino to continue. "Yamato-sensei and Kakashi made a bet on Hinata and Sasuke's match and now Kakashi has to pay for the surviving genin teams and their senseis." Shibi's stoic expression nearly slipped in mirth but he only laughed inwardly.

At the Nami-uzu compound the small nami-uzu clan was having their first clan meeting. Naruto was currently reaping the benefits of his arrangement with the women living in his compound. Hinata and Haku were adopted into the clan officially so they could fully be involved politically. Haku wasn't engaged to Naruto officially and any marriage would be far down the line so it was more convenient.

Hinata didn't believe Naruto was ready for a former hyuga heiress sized wedding at the moment, so the arrangement was more convenient for her as well. Naruto and his clones were going through the recent influx of requests to the uzumaki clan. Word of him and his clan supposedly selling bloodlines spread like wildfire. The clan mailbox was overflooded with requests and visitors personally delivering requests. Haku and Hinata were forced to take turns leaving shadow clones at the front gate after Naruto denied a pompous civilian councilman's request by slowly smothering him with killing intent.

Naruto could've killed him if Hinata hadn't intervened. From there Naruto began going through the requests but after seeing how ridiculous the requests were, he was annoyed. There were requests from unrealistic bloodlines to one of his testicles. One person requested a fiance trade. Another requested a bloodline where they could kill people with a spoon. There was even a request for him to impregnate all the single women in a whole family. The number one thing they offered is a rio and usually not a lot of it.

Next it was a daughter or some form of concubine, and then there was jutsu, most of which were below b rank. Eventually with Haku and Hinata's help, they were able to narrow down requests that could benefit the clan. Naruto used this chance to call the first Nami-uzu clan meeting. They were gathered in the new clan meeting room in the basement of Naruto's house. There was more than enough space down there to create a meeting room and add unnecessary walls and privacy seals but it seemed official and he liked it.

"After going through all the requests, we've boiled it down to the hyuga clan, yamanaka, inuzuka, nara, akimichi, aburame, kurama clan, and the konoha requests. For one reason or another they all presented an acceptable offer so all that's left is to discuss with the clan heads. We have a lot to do so we should split up. We only have a month off and we still have to go over clan finance records and review the personnel overseeing the Uzumaki and Namikaze funds and businesses. In the main market district we own a section with various stands, a general store, a clothing store, a produce market, and two sealing shops.

We own a restaurant in the nobles section of konoha too. It's something my parents purchased right before they died so the original owners are still running it. As you can see, we'll be offers we're receiving will change the outlook of our clan so it'll be best to hash out the details and agreements as soon as possible. In a few days I plan on publicly announcing that we'll take no more requests. What do you think?" Naruto said, motioning to the only two other clan members.

As much as he hated interacting with the village, the prospect of beginning part of the rebuilding of his clan left him in an uncharacteristically good mood. "I agree, we should get these idiotic requests out of the way. A testicle, really." Hinata said incredulously. Haku nodded adamantly and added a question in curiosity. "Naruto-kun, I knew you owned a piece of the market district but how did you get so much? And by split up, do you mean you want us to negotiate on the clan's behalf?"

Naruto responded with a grin, "The uzumaki clan was fundamental in konoha being founded where it is today and the foundations of its protective seals still in use today. The clan was given ownership of what was a third of the market district at the time. We still own that section although the district has grown over time. And you two have been members of the Nami-uzu clan the longest besides the clan head. As far as I'm concerned, you're clan elders. We'll stand by whatever decision either of you make. I trust you." Naruto finished with a smile that caused Haku to blush.

"Do you mind if I handle the hyuga?" Hinata asked? "I figured you'd want to deal with that one. I can remove their seals completely or only the harmful components. I can even move and change the appearance of the seals. The rest is up to you and If you don't mind, could you handle the Konoha request? Their offer was insufficient but you should be able to get anything you want from them. I'll leave that up to you." Hinata nodded in confirmation while pondering how her clan could benefit from the village.

"Haku, I want you to speak with the Kurama clan and the Inuzuka clan. The Kurama clan only has one member left and the only thing they have to offer is a powerful family heirloom, a dreamcatcher. It's unusable because it's tainted with Kurama's chakra. From the history given in the request, it was used to cast a genjutsu on Kurama that was strong enough to lead the biju away."

Naruto stopped speaking when he was mentally cut off by a ranting kyuubi. "Those dick riding psychedelic junkies, they were obsessed with me for decades. They named themselves after me and constantly tried to impress me with those annoying ass illusions until I had enough. I would've finished them off if it wasn't for their kekkei genkai and that damn dream catcher they pinned on my fucking tail."

Naruto cringed visibly at Kurama's foul mouthed rant before he continued. "And Kurama just confirmed it but there was something about a kekkei genkai which I think was the main request. The girl who sent the request had her chakra sealed because her bloodline was a danger to herself and others. I'm pretty sure I can help her based on the details provided in the request. I want you to invite her to join the clan. She seems to be alone and from what I hear, your backgrounds are similar. The girl, Yakumo, killed her family when her bloodline trapped them all in a strong genjutsu.

Apparently her genjutsu is so strong, it becomes real and affects the real world. For now her entire chakra system is sealed but she still trains to become a shinobi. She shouldn't have to be alone. I want to rebuild this clan but it doesn't have to be only those with mine or uzumaki blood. Hopefully she agrees. For the Inuzuka clan, I have an idea on what bloodline to give them though I'll need a sample of an experienced inuzuka's chakra. I want to set a limit of 4 bloodlines max per clan but if you can negotiate for less, it'd be best. In the end I'm only really doing this so the village has no ground to stand on in regards to my abilities."

"I can do that Naruto-kun. I'm assuming you'll be handling the rest?" Haku responded. "Yeah, the yamanaka, nara, and akimichi will meet me together and I've already sent a clone to arrange a meeting with Shibi." Naruto said. "Naruto-kun, what bloodlines are you planning on giving to the clans? I doubt they would want to share the same. Are you planning on creating bloodlines for the clans? Is that even possible?" Hinata asked.

Haku was just beginning to wonder the same. Naruto smirked, of course it was. It was chakra, his seigan commanded chakra. "Bloodlines are nothing more than producing a special chakra which is simply a combination of chakra natures and in specific cases, just a unique chakra nature. They're only unique because everyone is limited to the chakra natures they receive through genetics. That doesn't apply to me. The clans of konoha 'secret techniques' usually are imitations of a bloodline.

They've found a way to imitate a bloodline by using specific techniques to combine chakra natures. I wouldn't even say combine, it's more like clashing chakra natures and gaining an inefficient result. For example, the Inuzuka channel yang release chakra through their body constantly. It's probably the basis of their secret technique. When they use their man beast jutsu, they mold earth chakra which overlays the excess yang chakra and is then tailored to specific traits.

The yamanaka, nara, and akimichi work under a somewhat similar principle. I can combine those chakra natures. It may take some time to find the proper ratio but it's a matter of trial and error." He said. "Did you know that since the clans demonstrated their techniques to the class our last year in the academy?" HInata asked. "Yes and no. I could see that there was a unique process but couldn't fully understand it until I moved to the clan district. I've sensed and seen the clan's chakra enough to put together a solid theory."

"So in theory, you could create any bloodline; you just need to know the components." Hinata asked. Naruto gave her a smile and nodded. Feeling that the meeting was over, Hinata and Haku shared a glance. Kakashi lost a bet on Hinata's fight and now had to pay for the rookie teams and the people present for the bet. In the end it turned into a celebratory dinner for Konoha's success in the exams. They wanted to get Naruto to attend but doubted he would, willingly.

"Naru-kun, we should celebrate at Yakinikus tonight." Haku asked, restraining a devious smile. "Barbeque? Why not ramen if we're going out?" He replied. "We always get ramen, can't we do something different?" Hinata asked. It was a simple request but Naruto could feel the anticipation coming from the two girls so he assumed they must've just been excited to enjoy a night out.

"I'd rather do barbeque here in peace but Yakinikus shouldn't be crowded on a night like this. Hopefully they have good sake." Naruto said. Hinata giggled wondering how well Naruto would take a rowdy group of people. She giggled again wondering how alcohol would factor in. Their plan was to have Naruto interact with the village more and she thought it'd be an interesting process. "I'm sure it won't be too busy." Haku added with her own giggle.

In the Hokage office, Tsunade was sitting next to Jiraiya across from Hiruzen. "You can't be serious. Why would Naruto go anywhere with Jiraiya." Tsunade said angrily. "The boy has to learn to use the kyuubi's power if we're going to war with a village with two jinchuriki's. And if reports are accurate, Taki may be breaking the peace treaty and aligning themselves with Iwa. That would make it three jinchuriki's to our one." Hiruzen said firmly.

"The gaki needs to be able to back up his actions by killing the tsuchikage's granddaughter. He's going to have a target on his back and if we don't have anyone to counter their jinchuriki's we're screwed." Jiraiya added. "Yeah and what if you're the final straw? He's already denied your training. If you force him on a trip away from the village, he might not come back!" Tsunade responded.

"Hime, I'm a sannin. The gaki will go where he's told, even if I have to drag him there. He needs to stop acting like he isn't this village's jinchuriki. His father gave him a responsibility and he's going to uphold it like his mother and mito before him." Jiraiya said. "You're one to talk about the responsibility given by his father." She snapped back. "Yet where were you? I didn't see you here holding his hand." Jiraiya retorted. "How the fuck was I supposed to know? Neither one of you said a damn thing."

"Enough! Alright, what's done is done. The boy will use the next 6 months to get experience on higher ranked missions then leave to train with Jiraiya. That's it Tsunade." Hiruzen asserted. Tsunade was angry but she knew he technically wasn't wrong. But she didn't trust Jiraiya with Naruto after the stunt the old toad pulled in the council meeting. Naruto's sanity was shaky already. The boy was surprisingly normal in private encounters but his sanity was quick to slip and Jiraiya could push him over the line. "What do you know about his relationship with Danzo?" Jiraiya inquired.

"Nothing, I just got here, remember?" Tsunade responded. "But you're still the only one of us that the boy will talk to. I know you celebrated at his compound the night he won." Jiraiya said. "Tsunade, Naruto will have significant political power, not to mention he's the village's jinchuriki. We can't let Danzo get control of the boy." Hiruzen said. "And let me guess you two want control of Naruto." Tsunade said.

"His loyalty in the right hands would be best for the village hime, don't act sentimental now." Jiraiya said. "I don't know and if you want to know you're going to have to figure it out yourself." The slug princess rebuked. Hiruzen sighed heavily and Jiraiya just gave her a glare. "Tsunade, I need you to be with us. I don't want to give the hat to Jiraiya or Kakashi but I will. I want you to be the next Hokage. As I suspected, the fire daimyo's court along with certain members from both councils have expressed their opinion that a new hokage would be best in light of another large scale war.

Jiraiya just isn't fit for the job, he will agree that he wouldn't take the responsibilities seriously enough. Kakashi isn't as bad but he currently lacks the strength needed to be a kage although he's close. Still, I won't recommend you unless you resolve to get the boy under our control. War isn't pretty. We will do what we must, no matter the cost" The aged sarutobi said gravely.

Tsunade looked into Hiruzen and Jiraiya's eyes and could only wonder what they had planned for Naruto and the village. She wondered how far they'd go in the face of another war. "So you want another Kage that's just going to follow your ideals and your directions from the shadows? Not only that, I'm sure you purposely allowed Naruto to be subjected to such torment for him to become stronger and now you need me to get him under your control." Tsunade spat out in disgust.

"And what of it? I'm the kage of this village and I'll do what it takes to keep it protected. He was our village's Jinchuriki and I'm an aging kage so I had to make him strong!" Hiruzen retorted. "He isn't a fucking weapon! You have no respect for Kushina, Minato, or the Uzumaki clan! You don't deserve the hat, old man." Tsunade said. "Tsunade! Too far." Jiraiya interjected.

"I don't deserve it, I've served as the kage of this village longer than any other Hokage. I was supposed to be retired a decade and a half ago. I'm sick of this shit. He is our jinchuriki and as long as I have the hat along with whoever I choose, he will be this village's ultimate weapon. You might not like it but you need to hear it!" Hiruzen said, eyeing Tsunade fiercely. Tsunade couldn't believe what she was hearing, what happened to the kind old man she thought Hiruzen had become, and when did Jiraiya get so radical. She couldn't let them run her grandfather's village, especially with the way they've treated her grandson.

"You know what, I will. Whether you endorse me or not I'll become the next Hokage. As senju clan head, I recommend you step down as Hokage. I was born in the political game so I hope you don't fight it. Naruto won't be treated as our weapon but a valuable shinobi should he decide to remain with the village." Tsunade said as she stormed her way out of the room. Hiruzen released another sigh, he would have to recommend either Jiraiya or Kakashi for Hokage although with Jiraiya's out of battle reputation and Kakashi's level of strength Tsunade may just become the hokage regardless.

Jiraiya isn't liked by the fire daimyo because he spied on his concubines and the council sees him in a bad light because of all the perverted things he's done and some remember certain war crime allegations against Jiraiya. Tsunade, although recently absent, was the strongest kunoichi in the world. She was well versed politically and respected widely across the fire country despite so many outstanding debts. When Hiruzen thought about it further and remembered her heritage and a new clan head definitely on her side.

He then realized that if the slug princess wanted his hat, she could have it at any time. "So what are we going to do about her?" Jiraiya asked. "Nothing, we'll just keep trying to get through to the stubborn woman. A political war with her wouldn't be wise. For now I want you to keep an eye on Naruto and Danzo." "Fine, but we need everyone on the same page before Iwa officially declares." Jiraiya jumped out the window as he said his last words to do some digging.

Hinata was standing before the hyuga clan council and her father, the clan head, to discuss the hyuga clan gaining a bloodline. "I'm assuming Naruto sent you to negotiate the terms of our request in his stead, Hinata." Hiashi said. "Yes he did, any terms we agree to will be official." Hinata said stoically. She wanted to present herself as serious in light of the terms she was about to suggest. The hyuga elders were ecstatic despite their stoic outward expressions. They should be able to get all the main house members a bloodline with their former heiress doing the negotiations.

The head elder Hashigi hyuga spoke next, "I assume our offer was acceptable, yes. We would like for all the main house heirs to receive a bloodline as well as the clan head and all those on the council. And what kinds of bloodline can he give us? A variety would be most suitable to a clan as versatile as the hyuga." The head elder spoke stoically with more than a tint of arrogance in his voice. Hinata didn't need to sense emotions to tell that most of the hyuga clan elders thought they were about to get over on the Nami-Uzu clan.

"Unfortunately we have no interest in your original offer although we have an offer of our own. If you want a bloodline from the Nami-Uzu clan there is one way and one way only. The current version of the caged bird seal must be removed from all members and never placed onto a hyuga again." Hinata had more to say but was cut off by a loud uproar from the elders of the clan. "Impossible," "Never," "What," "ridiculous!" were all shouts from the elders of the clan as they couldn't believe what they'd just heard but after a moment Hinata continued louder.

"The original version of the caged bird seal that doesn't have harmful components such as a remote pain function, or a remote kill function. Naruto can remove the harmful components and even restructure the seal's appearance and provide the proper seal to protect our doujutsu but we will not give a bloodline to a clan that enslaves its own people." Hinata said firmly. Inwardly she was enjoying the fish out of water faces the normally stoic hyuga elders were displaying. "Girl, you are a former hyuga and have no right to speak on our clan practices." An elder said.

"How dare you demand such a thing in a negotiation." Another elder said. "I can demand it and you'll do it if you want to remain as the strongest clan in the village. We're meeting with every major clan in the village today to discuss terms on a bloodline. You can refuse my offer but when other clan's are outperforming the hyuga in the upcoming war, you'll regret your decision." Hinata responded.

"You dare have the audacity to talk down upon the hyuga clan." Hashigi said. "Enough!" Hiashi exclaimed. "Hinata, will the seals protect our doujutsu the way it did before? And what kind of bloodline would we be receiving, also how many?" The elders began to protest but were silenced by a quick motion by Hiashi. "Yes it would be just as effective for protecting our doujutsu and we are willing to give four people a bloodline at most. Naruto will have to decide which bloodline and who to give it to. They would have to be compatible." She responded.

"And the bloodlines would be passed onto any children in the future?" "Possibly, it all depends on genetics. Hyuga genetics are generally consistent with our traits so it's a high possibility all children would receive the bloodline but it's not guaranteed. Any children would have the potential of having the bloodline due to genetics so yes. The bloodline will continue on in the blood of the hyuga clan." "Do you need a response now?"

"Yes. Frankly Naruto-kun gave me the authority to make the final decision and we both know a second bloodline for the hyuga clan would be monumental. Our doujutsu has no offensive ability, in fact it only allows us to see better than everyone else. We have a unique taijutsu style but it can be done without the byakugan and with pressure points instead of tenketsu. An offensive bloodline in combination with our byakugan would elevate the hyuga to possibly rival the senju in history. The Nami-Uzu clan wants a decision before I leave the compound.

Will you choose to continue to separate and enslave your own family while portraying yourselves as a noble clan or will you bridge the gap between the houses and make the hyuga clan stronger for generations to come. Tell me, can you see through your own egos to make the best decision for your clan?" Hinata said with a tone of finality, glaring daggers and the clan elders who looked ready to place the seal on her. Hiashi was slightly annoyed by his daughter's speech but also proud that she cared so much for the clan even though she was no longer a part of it.

He never thought he'd get to see this Hinata, proud, confident, determined and strong. "Can you give us a moment to discuss your offer? I'm sure Hanabi wouldn't mind speaking with her older sister for a while." Hiashi said with his stoic expression. Hinata nodded and left the room to find her little sister. She heard the commotion before she reached the doorway and couldn't help but smirk. She already knew they couldn't refuse her proposal even if some of them didn't.

Haku was making her way through the village to where Yakuma Kurama, the last of her clan, was currently staying. She'd spoken with the Inuzuka and they were more than happy with three members of their clan receiving a bloodline. They offered to find a special breed of foxes that were just as intelligent and in some ways more talented than their ninja dogs and train them to fight alongside and guard members of their clan.

Essentially they were giving them ninja foxes they would be able to be used as a ninja partner or simply to guard the next generation of their clan. The foxes would reproduce so the gift could last just as long as a bloodline. Haku thought it was a fitting trade. In the end Naruto would still have to discuss what kind of bloodline he'd be giving the clan. Hana inuzuka would visit the compound the next day to give some of her chakra and hash out the details of the bloodline. As she made her way through the east side of the village, Haku thought about the similarities between her and Yakumo.

In one way or another their bloodline destroyed their family. Haku wondered if Yakumo had anyone or if she was alone like she was before Zabuza found her and molded her into a weapon. Haku arrived at the address she was given and noticed a pretty run down building that looked dreary from the outside. She knocked on the front door and after a few moments a cute girl who looked to be around 14-15 opened the door and greeted her. "Hey, can I help you?" The girl said.

Haku looked the girl over, she had long purple hair and dark brown eyes. She wore a worn light purple casual kimono over a body that resembled many kunoichi around the village. "Hai, I'm looking for Yakumo Kurama. I'm from the Namikaze-Uzumaki clan, my name is Haku." The girl's eyes widened and she immediately seemed nervous and somewhat hopeful.

"That's me, I'm Yakumo. Thanks for coming, but. I thought there was only one member of that clan. A shinobi called Naruto." "I just recently joined the clan. I was originally the last member of the Yuki clan from the land of water. I came to konoha because of Naruto-kun. May I ask, the picture you sent with the request had a girl with brown hair, but yours is purple." Yakumo giggled and said, "I needed a change so I dyed it. Why don't you come in? I don't have any refreshments at the moment but it'll be slightly more comfortable."

Yakumo led Haku to her kitchen where she took a seat. Haku could see that the inside was just as dingy though well taken care of. "So Haku, are you the wife of Konoha's new clan head?" Yakumo asked devilishly. Haku nearly sputtered but was able to reply, "H-he's my boyfriend." Yakumo gave Haku a bright smile that made it hard for Haku to will her blush away. "So what do you think of the request? Can your clan do anything to help me? All I have is the dreamcatcher, it'll hurt to lose my clan's most precious heirloom but I'll never be able to become a shinobi and atone for my sins unless my problem is fixed." Yakumo said getting straight to the point.

"To make the answer short, yes. Naruto-kun believes he can help you. He doesn't want the dreamcatcher either." Haku replied. Yakumo was relieved to hear that he could do it although skeptical but she also dreaded what they'd ask for instead. "And what do you want from me?" "We'd like to extend an offer to join our clan. Right now, the clan is made up of one namikaze-uzumaki, one former hyuga, and the last member of the yuki clan. Much like you and I, Naruto is one of the last of his clan. He believes there may be more out there but he's the only one I've ever heard of. Naruto-kun wants nothing more than to have a family, and to rebuild his clan.

Like you, my bloodline was responsible for my family's death. My father killed my mother because he'd seen my bloodline that I received from her and I killed my father when I lost control. I was later found by a man who raised me to be a weapon and eventually met Naruto while he was on a mission. He offered to bring me back to konoha with him and I've never looked back. He's my family now. You seem nice, otherwise I wouldn't have offered since it's up to my discretion. If you don't want to join, I'll still convince him to help you but you shouldn't have to be alone.

If you want, you can rebuild the kurama clan with the Namikaze-Uzumaki." An offer to join their clan was the last thing Yakumo expected but it did sound tempting. From what she was hearing the clan was made up of people like her. It was all so soon and abrupt that she didn't know what to say. Also, she'd heard many discouraging things about the clan head. A blonde boy named Naruto, she and the rest of the village grew up fearing his name.

"Honestly, I don't know what to say to an offer like that so suddenly. To start, I've heard some pretty scary things about your clan head and my clan has a sizable debt that would follow me should I join another clan." "I doubt your clan's debt would be a problem, the Nami-Uzu clan is actually the 4th wealthiest clan in konoha after the Uchiha, senju, and hyuga. As for Naruto-kun, he really isn't like how the people of the village portray him. Everyone in the village seems to know he's killed a lot of people but nobody seems to know or care why.

Naruto didn't even know his own heritage until some months ago and he was raised as an orphan. Not just any orphan either because he was hated by the majority of the village before he was feared. You see, Naruto is what you call a jinchuriki. When the nine tails attacked konoha, Naruto was just born and his father, the yondaime, was forced to seal the demon inside of him. Most of the villagers somehow found out the identity of the kyuubi's jinchuriki and all the hate and pain that resulted from the kyuubi's attack was directed at Naruto."

Yakumo's eyes were wide in amazement when she heard the head of the Nami-Uzu clan was the Kyuubi's jinchuriki but she stayed silent and listened. "Naruto was treated like the worst of scum in this village. They refused him service in their shops and stands. They sold him rotten food and nearly unusable goods for absorbent prices. They told their kids to avoid him and openly patronized the small boy. It escalated to incidents where they'd hit or threaten his life. Then it became premeditated, and then they began to organize.

So one night a mob with small concealed weapons waited outside of the apartment the hokage was forced to give Naruto because the orphanage kicked him out so he didn't 'corrupt the other kids'. Naruto saw them and attempted to run but was caught when he arrived on a busy street. Instead of being able to lose them in the crowd, they singled him out and harassed him until the mod caught up. The mob beat him while the crowd threw insults, food and other objects at Naruto. Naruto was stabbed and he unlocked his bloodline. Just like us, he was unable to control it and killed everyone in the mob and some in the crowd." Haku paused to allow her words to sink in and observe the purple haired girl's reactions.

Yakumo was visibly saddened for Naruto. "From then on the village not only hated, but feared Naruto. He was forced to defend himself on multiple occasions from assassins, angry civilians and konoha shinobi. I won't lie his sanity has suffered but he'd never hurt someone he cares for or a member of his clan. He's actually kind and very caring. He even made a custom bathhouse that's just as big, cleaner, pervert free, and overall better than the one in konoha because I asked." Haku finished with a smile, that bathhouse was a blessing from Kami.

Yakumo was blown away. Naruto's story was so different from what she'd heard. Most of her fear had been abated because although she'd heard so many bad things about him, it wouldn't make sense for the village to allow him to go unpunished if it wasn't in self defense. The fact that he was the Kyuubi's jinchuuriki was enough alone for her to join the clan especially if he wasn't just some psychopathic killer. Her clan revered Kurama, the kyuubi. They knew it's destructive nature and have never faulted the Kyuubi for it, especially when humans are usually the first aggressor.

The idea of her bloodline problem being fixed would help especially if the pull of a clan would allow her to become a shinobi like she's always wanted. After her family's death, her dream was all she had. This might be her best chance, it's what her clan would've wanted. "I accept, I would've done it simply for the chance to be close to Kyuubi-sama, but may I ask a few more questions?" Haku was completely thrown off. Kyuubi-sama?

"Sure, I'll answer anything I can." Haku replied with a smile, her Naruto-kun wanted to expand his clan and she wouldn't complain if it was easier than she thought. "How is the Nami-Uzu clan a noble clan of konoha when it's so new and is that even possible? How did the son of the fourth grow up as an orphan, how didn't he know? And do you think the clan has the sway to get me another chance to become a shinobi once my problem is fixed?"

"The Uzumazki clan, the clan of Naruto's mother, was one of the founding clans of konoha although they weren't formally a konoha clan. Any Uzumaki had the right to claim a noble clan in the village. Now it's just combined with his father's clan that is a noble clan by default because of the fourth's position of Hokage. It's a long story on why he didn't know. If you join the clan you'll have plenty of time to hear of it. And it's possible. He's a member of the council now so I would say so, yes. We can get you on the shinobi forces once we fix your problem."

Yakumo nodded while wondering if her current situation was a dream or just some random gift from Kami. "Can you explain exactly what's the problem? I've read your request though I'd like to hear it from you." Haku asked. "Essentially, my genjutsu is strong enough to manifest whatever I conjure with my mind assuming I have the chakra which I have a large amount of. When my bloodline manifested it was already hard to control and one night I had a nightmare about a demon and that demon became real. It resides in my mind and can forcibly activate my bloodline.

Because it's become too real it's hard for me to undo. It wont let me and I can't mentally get it out of my head to stop the genjutsu. In the end, my chakra was completely sealed away." "Hmm well, Naruto-kun believes he can help and if he says something he'll do it. Why don't you come by the compound tomorrow and if you want to meet Naruto, come out to Yakiniku's tonight with us. If you want, you can pack your things as well.

We can always have Naruto-kun send clones to gather everything. If you're still willing, welcome to the Namikaze-Uzumaki clan." Haku gave Yakumo a big smile and stood up to give her new clanmate a hug. Yakumo had mixed feelings but she mostly felt excitement. She was tired of being alone and struggling to pay her bills on top of all her clan's debt. This could be a huge break for her. She nodded enthusiastically.

Naruto was pleased with the arrangement he'd made with the aburame. The Aburame clan's main source of income was silk. Not just any silk but silk made by special silkworms bred by the aburame. The silk was over 100 times stronger than normal silk while weighing 10 times lighter than cotton. A single shirt was the equivalent to chain mail. In exchange for 3 members given a bloodline, the Nami-Uzu clan would be supplied with the aburame's special silk to be used in equipment in their weapon shop at a discount and a free supply of the silk clothing for the clan. T

here would be a limit should the clan grow beyond a certain size but not even the aburame themselves are able to use the special silk for all of their clothing. It would look normal but the quality and protection it provided would be welcome for his clan. His weapon's shop would receive more business with such a rare quality of material with his products. Naruto was waiting in the Nara clan meeting room for Choza and Inoichi to discuss their joint-clan request. It wasn't long before he was seated before the three clan heads.

Shikaku, Choza, and Inoichi were seasoned shinobi and didn't display most of their emotions by principle but Naruto could still sense the unease, excitement, and curiosity from them. "Naruto-san, thank you for coming. To be honest we weren't sure if you would accept our offer but the fact that you're here means you're at least willing to negotiate. This is Choza Akimichi and I'm sure you know Inoichi so why don't we get started. First, I think we'd all like to ask how you know our respective clan jutsu are pseudo bloodlines or as you call them an imitation of a bloodline?" Shikaku said while receiving approving nods from his fellow requestees.

Naruto retained his stoic expression as Shikaku and Inoichi watched him closely to read his body language but they would discover nothing. "My eyes can see chakra more clearly and in depth than the uchiha or the hyuga. I first noticed when the noble clans of konoha demonstrated their clan jutsu to academy students before we graduated although it took me some time to completely understand. I've thought of creating the bloodlines but it would take more effort than I'm willing to expend without samples of your clan's chakra." Naruto said evenly.

The three seasoned clan heads showed little outward reaction but Naruto could clearly sense their excitement. Kurama said it was as if their wives had some 'making up' to do. Inoichi spoke up next, "well I wouldn't say the part about your doujutsu in front of the hyuga's but are you saying you can complete our clan jutsu with the real bloodline, and all you need is a sample of a member from our clan's chakra? How long would something like that take? Could you give any details on the process?"

"Yes I can, with a sample of chakra, I should be able to recreate the bloodlines within a week. For me it'll be a matter of trial and error." Naruto finished speaking and simply stared at the three clan heads before him who were waiting on him to answer the last question. They didn't doubt he could do it because he'd already done the impossible with his teammates.

Once it was obvious he wasn't going to answer it, choza spoke next, "Well, I'm sure we're all willing to give you a sample of our chakra today if you're prepared. Also, although unused, the land we're offering is significant and will quadruple the size of your compound. How many people in each clan are you willing to give a bloodline? Will anyone be able to receive it?" Naruto tilted his head up diagonally very slightly to seem as if he was pondering the questions before responding, "2."

"Naruto-san, we were hoping to receive a bloodline for at least 6 of our members." Shikaku countered. "Fine, 3" Naruto said evenly. "Five," Inoichi countered. "2," Naruto responded. "No, no wait we'll take 3," Inoichi added, failing to hide his anticipation. "Deal," Naruto said while smirking inwardly, he would've done 4 if he had to. "I'm glad we could come to an agreement. May I ask what our bloodlines would do? And what do you intend to do with the land you're gaining from this agreement? The size of your compound would be comparable to ours and we have around a thousand members each." Shikaku asked.

Their plan to help with the Nami-Uzu clan situation was to trade the land that surrounded the Nami-Uzu compound for bloodlines. The land originally was set aside for another clan that never joined konoha but was eventually bought by the Nara, Akimichi, and Yamanaka clans as well as the large piece Kushina and Minato bought. Finding such a large piece of land in such a well protected environment and active economy such as konoha would be nearly impossible.

Unless Naruto planned to move his clan to Uzushio, and rebuild the whole village, there was no better place for the Nami-Uzu clan to rebuild. Shikaku knew Naruto wasn't stupid and he also figured out that Hinata was a genius and something like this wouldn't be ignored. He just needed to be sure they didn't intend to sell the land in which case they might actually have enough money to relocate to the land of eddies.

"I won't know the specifics of your bloodline until I complete them but it'll be similar to your clan jutsu. The land will be used to expand the compound, we may not have many people but we have 'ideas' on what to do with the space. If you were worried that we'd trade or sell it away, rest assured it will remain with the Nami-Uzu clan. I will also say that I don't want you to waste the bloodlines I give you, or treat the recipient as a breeding tool or weapon. It isn't something I wan't the Nami-Uzu clan to be a part of." Naruto said.

Choza laughed and chuckled out, "I like that kid, I was on a team with your father for a time and despite what your circumstances, I know he'd have agreed with that statement. We'll treat the recipients as any other clan member, Naruto-san." Naruto nodded, satisfied with the day's results, so far.

Hinata was the last to return to the compound. The hyuga clan council tried everything they could to get bloodlines while retaining the caged bird seal. She knew that they were more than likely scared of what the branch family would do to them should they be freed. The branch family outnumbered the main branch 10 to 1 and with over 2 thousand members in the clan, it could go south quickly. Unfortunatly it was no longer her problem, though she'd protect her sister if need be.

The hyuga clan knew they needed to get bloodlines to remain the most powerful clan in konoha. With other noble clans potentially gaining bloodlines of their own, their influence and power could grow beyond that of the hyuga who's original bloodline kept them at the top right behind the uchiha until the massacre. In the end Hiashi used his position as clan head to do what was best for the clan and accepted Hinata's deal for 4 bloodlines. He only asked that the Nami-Uzu clan protect the children of the main house should things go wrong.

It took even longer to hash out the finer details of such a large process. Hinata's meeting with the hokage was slightly awkward, he was expecting Naruto, and she was sure they were planning on attempting to corner him into getting more answers. Unfortunately for them, Hinata was trained from a young age in the political game and she gave them no answers. She even upped the ante because part of the deal was for Naruto to attempt to fix Kakashi's eye problem either via seal or his doujutsu.

Since in the end, it was a chakra problem with Kakashi, Hinata was confident that her Naruto-kun would be able to complete the task. They'd have to provide services to the village three more times. It was stated as services not bloodlines because Naruto would have the option to provide a safe and untethered cursed seal or provide a konoha shinobi with a bloodline. Apparently Anko's rapid improvement to the prodigy she was supposed to be and the enhancement supplied by the cursed seal could be just as beneficial to the village in the upcoming war.

The Hokage wanted Hinata to commit to a recurring deal but she simply left the possibility of more transactions open to make the village happy. In return Kakashi would teach Naruto his chidori and they'd be able to select 3 jutsu from the forbidden scroll of sealing. Also, they'd have free clearance to bring others into the clan from outside of the village, provided they pass a screening by a Yamanaka that didn't intrude more than necessary.

The hokage was eager to facilitate the deal and allowed her to make a copy of the three jutsu. She chose bunshin daibakuha, great clone explosion jutsu. A forbidden technique that infused the body with yin release chakra in a way that subsequently changed the user's suiton ninjutsu. The user's suiton ninjutsu would be stronger and the water would turn black.

It would apparently remove water's weakness to electricity and it also had other properties that weren't fully discovered due to the creator of the technique dying in the last great war. The last one she chose was a futon substitution jutsu. It took an extremely high affinity to perform but if she couldn't do it, Naruto would be able to. She would train her futon affinity until she could too.

Hinata made her way to their clan meeting room which Hinata thought was funny. Noone could spy on their conversation anywhere in the house, or really the compound but it did make their new clan feel more official. She'd sent a crow to let them know she was on the way back and Haku said they were going over some of the clan's finances in the meeting room. Hinata opened the door to the clan meeting room and found it amusing to see Haku sitting on top of Naruto and they were kissing.

Normally, a girl would be mad to see her fiance making out with her roommate, but Hinata made out with Haku and Naruto religiously so it only made her excited and slightly moist in her lower regions. Naruto and Haku paused for a moment of breath and welcomed Hinata back. Naruto motioned her over and gave his pale eyed princess a kiss with Haku following in suit. Haku wanted to continue with Hinata in the mix but they were only passing the time until Hinata arrived, and they only had a couple hours until they went to Yakunikus.

The next hour was spent giving the results of the day's negotiations and discussing a plan to complete the job. Overall everything had gone well and the Nami-Uzu clan would be far better off than before. Naruto was about to call an end to their meeting when Haku asked a question. "Naruto-kun, It's obvious that you're serious about rebuilding your clan. What do you wish to see for the clan in the future? You always seem to have a vision but we rarely talk about it. Don't you think we should have defined goals for the clan?" Haku inquired.

Naruto was caught off guard by the question so he took a moment to think about it. A few minutes passed before he answered but the two girls had no problem waiting. They wanted to hear his response. "I want to rebuild my clan as you know, but If possible. I want more than that. I've never really had a family, only hina-hime and a sensei for a while. I used to see the hokage as a grandfather but I feel like his true colors are hidden. Hinata was in a big clan with a big family but she can tell you it didn't feel like it.

From what I've read about the Uzumaki, they were all about family. Everyone in the clan was equal. Their children grew up together and the families relied on each other. I want something like that. I want a big family and a big clan. I want to be strong enough to protect it and I want my clan to be strong as well. Although as long as enough of us have the strength then I want everyone to be able to excel in what they love to do, shinobi or not. I understand it'll take years and that's why I invited Yakumo to the clan and you Haku.

I didn't have the intention of being in a relationship with you as well but I'm glad it happened. You and Hinata make the world a brighter place in my eyes. And with both of you I'll be able to expand the clan faster in the future, something I hadn't thought about until you asked this question." Hinata and Haku couldn't help but blush at the implication of carrying a fresh generation of Uzumaki kids. "I'll also be open to inviting others to the clan, but not because of any abilities they may possess or because they benefit us.

I want to bring in people who want a family like we did and of course as many uzumaki as possible. I don't know if I want to stay in konoha or not. As long as konoha is tenable and you're all safe here then, I have no qualms with staying, for now at least. I also hope to expand the clan's businesses and wealth which would expand our political power. To have the strongest clan possible we'll need to be powerful in multiple ways. Does that fully answer your question, my ice princess?"

Haku was flustered because she didn't think Naruto had put so much thought into the matter. He was definitely an actions over words guy but she couldn't say he didn't think ahead. He might not know how exactly to go about it yet but he definitely knew what he wanted. Nodding, Haku spoke lovingly, "Yes Naru-kun, I really like your plans for the clan. I'll help anyway I can too." Hinata was proud of her husband-to-be, of course he had a vision for their clan and she loved it. The hyuga clan was anything but a close-nit clan or family.

Even in the branch family, they were divided because some were forced to serve main family children and fed more propaganda than the other kids. She wanted nothing more than a clan that treated each other as family whether they liked each other or not because they were family. A clan where everyone was equal and treated like a valued member regardless of their talent in certain aspects. But she did wonder about a few things. "I think the clan you envision is one I'd love, Naru-kun and we'll make sure it happens.

Can I ask you a question though? How big of a clan do you want, and h-how many k-kids?" Hinata couldn't stop the stutter that came with asking about kids. She was confident unlike before but she still had her limits and the idea of kids with her Naru-kun would've been enough to make her faint at a point in her life. Naruto grinned but hesitated with his answer. "I-I'd like to know as well, Naruto-kun." Haku said, slightly avoiding eye contact with Naruto.

"Well Kurama has 9 tails and it's always been my favorite number so 9 boys would be nice. As many as it takes to get 9 boys would be great and I'll take as many girls that come along the way. I understand that may be a bit much and I won't blame either of you for giving me either one or two but I generally want as much as you can give me." Naruto finished his answer with a sigh.

He didn't want to lie and he wouldn't force them to have too many children but he could always hope. Hinata and Haku's jaws dropped but as they looked at each other, they made a silent agreement. Turning to Naruto, they spoke in unison as if they'd had a private conversation, "We will do our best Naru-kun". The girls giggled before Haku spoke again. "We have a little time before we have to get ready if you want to continue from earlier with Hinata. What do you think, Hinata-chan?" Hinata made a cute face as if she was thinking. "Can we Naru-kun, you wouldn't want me to feel left out would you?" Naruto shook his head dumbly as Hinata and Haku drifted their way over to him. Naruto waited for the next best makeout session of his life and began to wonder just how soon they would start 'doing their best' the way things were going.
