chapter 2
Orko had found his way out of Colorfulcano Valley. Now he was wondering which way to go. He was wondering to go left or right. He picked up a stick and tossed it into the air. He was going to let chance decide. The stick land on the path going to the right. "I guess I am going right," Orko said and head down the path.
Orko saw much beauty along the way. Then he saw something the next day after camping out. There was a Trollan beaten he was just laying there. Orko went over to check on him. "He's alive," Orko said checking on him. Then Orko proceed to use some of the healing abilities he learned. "I hope I am not too late," he said.
"Thank you so much for stopping," the Trollan said once he was healed. "I don't know what I would've done if you hadn't stopped to save me," he said.
"I couldn't just leave you there and I did just what anyone would do," Orko said.
"Not just anybody would've done that," the Trollan said. "Three other Trollans passed me by after I got beaten by those bandits this morning," he said. "You were the only one who stopped and I am grateful for that," he said.
"I am just glad you are going to be okay," Orko said. "I will lead your town which you said is not to far from here that way we can watch each other's backs," he said.
"That sounds like a great idea," the Trollan said. Orko kept his word and lead the Trollan back to the town where this Trollan lived.
"Big brother are you alright?" a young Trollan girl asked.
"Yes I am fine," the Trollan answered his sister. "I don't know what I would've done if it wasn't for Orko," he said as Orko came up.
"I am glad I was able to see him safely home," Orko said.
Then the Trollan girl kissed Orko's face. "Thank you for save my brother," she said.
"Happy to help," Orko said. "Well I better get going I have to get back to my sorcerer's quest I started," he said.
"Wait it is getting dark," the Trollan he helped said. "The bandits will be more active at that time around these parts," he said. "You can stay at our place for the night," he said.
"Thank you," Orko said. "Um, I never got your name," he said.
"It's Kylak," Kylak said.
"I accept your offer Kylak," Orko said. So Orko stayed the night at the house of his new friend Kylak. The next morning Orko left.
"Good luck!" Kylak said. "I wish you the best," he said. "I hope our paths cross again some day!" he called as Orko left.
"Hope to see you soon too!" Orko called back and then he left.
Orko kept an eye out for bandits. Some tried to jump him but luckily Orko was on alert and managed to stop them and got them arrested. Orko saw many things while out on his journey. He saw a village being attacked by a monster. "Oh so you think it is okay to pick on little guys?" Orko asked the monster. "What if the one of the little guys decides to fight back?" he asked. He used his magic and flung the beast away into the side of a cliff.
"Yipe! Yipe!" the monster cried running off.
"And don't come back you big bully," Orko said. Orko was even kind enough to help with the repairs of the village.
Orko sometimes camped out under the stars. Orko managed to buy food and forge for food he knew was safe. Other times some people were kind enough to let him stay in their homes. Orko managed to get cat snail out of an underwater tree for a kind Trollan woman. She allowed him to spend the night.
Orko showed many feats of great strength, courage and creativity. Orko was truly an amazing young wizard. He heard something while in a town. A land slide was happening and he managed to put a stop to it. "There that should do it," Orko said.
Then a little Trollan boy came up. "Wow that was amazing mister." the little boy said.
"Orko," Orko said.
"Orko the great! You are an amazing hero, you fight monsters and bad guys it is truly amazing," the little boy said. "Now you just stopped this huge land slide so cool," he said.
"Well I am just happy I could help, uh..." Orko said.
"Yuka, but my friends calls me Yukkers," Yuka said.
"Nice to meet you," Orko said. "Yuka or uh Yukkers," he said. "Which would you rather me call you?" he asked.
"It doesn't matter to me, I like the sound of both," Yuka said. "I wanna be just like you and save others and do powerful magic," he said.
"Well Yuka, using the abilities you have to help others and doing the right thing, that is what make you great," Orko said. "But I think it is always better to be yourself, that is what makes one truly great," he said. Then Orko gives Yuka a present a rock which he etched his signature in along with a special note saying be true to yourself.
"Thank you," Yuka said.
"What cute kid," Orko said seeing Yuka run off.
Yuka showed the rock to his sister and parents. "Orko the great signed this rock for me and he put a special note on it too," Yuka said.
"It says be true to yourself," Seagg said.
"I told Orko I wanted to be like him and he told me that helping others and doing the right thing with my own abilities makes me great, but he also said being myself is will make me truly great," Yuka said. "What does he mean?' he asked.
"What Orko meant was truly great people help people and do the right thing with their own personal skills and not relying on copying the skills of others." Kyren said. "Also people who are not afraid of being who they really are a truly great too, because they don't care what others think and they work at being the best at being who they really are." she said.
"Oh," Yuka said. "I think I will take his advice and fine a way for the I use magic to help others," he said.
"That is a good way to look at it little brother," Dree Elle said. "I wonder if I will meet this Orko the great, he seems nice," she said.
Orko was finding all kinds amazing and cool things on his adventure. He even found the magic falls. "Amazing sight, I wonder how the first Trollans felt when they found magic," he said to himself. Orko fought the corrupting mold and destroyed it before an outbreak would start. Orko during a storm thought he saw something.
He saw two Trollans in strange clothes staring at him. He felt pretty creeped out about it.
Orko was doing well and his family was checking up on him at the temple of power. "Things seem to be going well," Ilyne said.
"Yes he has a lot of strength and potential," Za-Gras said.
"I hope it doesn't go to his head," Unzo said.
"I don't think it will, you know Orko things rarely get to my nephews head," Montork said.
Then Orko after travelling for a year and half he made it to the temple. "There it is the temple of power," Orko said. Then someone appeared by his side. It was his cousin.
"I finally made it," Snoob said.
"Looks like we both made it together cousin," Orko said.
"That's true let's go," Snoob said. Both of them entered the temple.
"Looks it's Orko and Snoob," Esso said.
"Both of you made it," Montork said.
"Well done Snoob and Orko," Za-Gras said.
"Thank you," Orko said bowing his head with respect.
"Thank you sir," Snoob said also bowing his head with respect.
"Now Snoob since you are older than Orko you will go first to be judged by the star tree," Za-Gras said. "it is the most sacred place in all of Trolla you ready?" he asked.
"Yes," Snoob said and went in when the veil lifted. Then after about five minutes Snoob came out. "I got the sage starburst," he said.
"Very nice," Orko said.
"I am very proud," Esso said.
"Good work," Montork said.
"I thought you would get that one," Unzo said.
"That's great," Ilyne said.
"Now it is your turn Orko are you ready?" Za-Gras said.
"Yes I am ready," Orko said.
Orko entered where the Star tree was. He sat down in front of it. "Star tree I am Orko, I have finished my quest and passed the test, I am now ready for your judgement," Orko said.
The Star Tree opened it's eye and looked at Orko. "In the darkest of nights when there seems to be no hope, one small light can make all the difference and make hope possible," the Star tree said and gave Orko his mage emblem.
Orko was eager to see what he was going to get. Orko was in shock with what he got. It was impossible almost how could it be possible. "Trolly molly the oracle ring!" Orko said and then came out of the chamber.
"Hi," Orko said coming out.
"Trolly molly!" Snoob said.
"Whoa!" Unzo said.
"Wowza!" Ilyne said.
"Oh my stars!" Esso said.
"By Azron's staff!" Montork said.
"This is an interesting development," Za-Gras said.
The rest of the overlords gasped. "I can hardly believe it after over a thousand years a new ringbearer is among us," said overlord Jenia. The others could agree on that.
"I can hardly believe it," Orko said. "I thought I would get something different but I never expect the oracle ring," he said.
"We were not expecting it either," Unzo said and the rest of the family agreed.
"Maybe the Star tree made a mistake," Orko said.
"Orko the Star tree doesn't make mistakes nephew, it obviously found something inside your heart that is worthy, and that is why you got the oracle ring and you must accept that," Montork said.
"Okay," Orko said.
"I wonder how the crimson council is going to react when they see cousin Orko's mage emblem," Snoob said.
The Crimson council nearly freaked out when they saw Orko's mage emblem. Orko and his cousin Snoob were now graduating.
Meanwhile two Trollans in disguise were watching. "This is taking a long time," Arkia said.
"True but these things normally take a long time anyway," said Pelvon.
"I am proud of our new batch of graduates, I am even more proud that one of them is my son and the other one is my nephew," Montork said. "Now without further do council member Blatzun take it away," he said.
"With pleasure," Blatzun said. "First we have Guron son of Hilv and Coti who received the balance scale," he said. "Next we have Penia daughter of Jaze and Masi who received the service hand," he said. "We have Jerbron son of Elvod and Vixine who receive the Paw of nature." he said. "Next was have Snoob son of Montork and Esso who received the sage starburst," he said. "Next we have Squonge son of Stanbar and Betriana who receive the warrior bolt," he said. "Finally we have Orko son of Unzo and Ilyne who received the Oracle ring," he said.
"No way," Arkia said.
"I don't know if I heard that right," Pelvon said.
"You heard it we have a new ringbearer in our midst." Blatzun said. "As you know in the past five thousand years there have been five other ringbearers besides Orko, starting with Azron the first of these Trollans due to the special ring he carried, then four others much later carried this mark too," he said. "They all did many things to make Trollan a better place in their own unique ways as told in our favorite children's song. Now it has been over a thousand years since a ringbearer came along. Now we have a new ringbearer let's take this moment to be grateful." he said.
The ceremony ended. "We need to tell master about this," Pelvon said.
"I agree let's go," Arkia said.
They found a quiet cave. "Master come in we have some news from spying on the graduating class," Pelvon said.
"Tell me," Master Krade said.
"One of the wizards we were watching on his quest Orko, he got the Oracle ring, he is a ringbearer," Pelvon said.
"That doesn't surprise me, our great master the unnamed one had a feeling Orko when he was born was a ringbearer and he tried to destroy him as a baby and the destroying angel of our was destroyed." Krade said. "We must stop Orko before he does something worse to our noble cause and makes Trolla worse and ruins the reason why Trollans should be in control," he said.
"Agreed," a dark voice said.
Krade, Pelvon and Arkia knew that voice.
"Grand Master unnamed one it has been a while since you talk to use about a matter like this," Krade said respectfully.
"Yes it has, we must do whatever we can to stop Orko he will spell doom for our cause! We must do whatever we can to stop him. He has a great destiny and that is to destroy our cause and stop much great evils with the great Eternia champion and other great heroes. We must find a way to shake his faith in himself, to cause him to become discouraged, to destroy him at best," the forbidden one said. "Do anything you can destroy him, for I know I will soon come with my return. When it does I will give the final blow to destroy Orko and end his destiny understand?" unnamed one said.
"Of course grand master," Master Krade said. "I will make sure me and the rest of the followers will do so," he said.
"But for now Pelvon Arkia observe him and while trying to find a way to break him in some way," unnamed one said. "Find a way to let the pressure of being a ringbearer get to him, and find other ways to make things difficult without him know it is you, try acting all buddy with him, like you wish to be his friends," he said. "Then once finding his weak points exploit them," he said. "Then find away to bring him down," he said.
"You heard the grand master do as he says," Krade said.
"We will," Arkia said.
Orko had received his mage emblem and graduated. But now something sinister is planning on harming him.
