I opened my eyes, feeling confused about what had just happened. My last memory was watching the final episode of Naruto again while cursing at the sequel that should never have existed. There are mixed opinions on the series, but for me, it's the worst.
It's not like it was really bad. If only they had made the story 100 years into the future with a completely new cast, I probably would have liked it, but this!?
For me, it's an insult to all the fans who invested so much time and money into the franchise. I then became really angry and started venting. Then a realization came to me—I had a heart attack…
Afterward, it was all black. Then, I read a lot of prompt messages. My heart beat with excitement as I remembered the content.
'Is this transmigration? Am I really in the Naruto world? God, I hope I'm in Konoha now.'
I looked around the room and realized it was a traditional Japanese home. On the wall, there was a banner hanging. It was a fan-shaped crest, like a hand-held fan, with the upper half red and the lower half white. A symbol I was very familiar with: 'Uchiha clan.'
On the table, there was a photo showing two people. One had short, spiky hair with dark, onyx-colored eyes. His face was sharp but emitted a warm smile. Beside him was a young boy with a similar appearance.
'Wait, isn't he Shisui?'
Memories from the body then started resurfacing. Somehow, in this world, I still kept my real name, Haruto.
Haruto Uchiha, the little brother of Shisui Uchiha, the only family he had. In this world, the Uchiha massacre was stopped halfway. Shisui had beaten Itachi, ending up in his capture. He also takes revenge and ends up capturing Danzo. Right now, Shisui is the current clan head.
I quickly realized why this change had happened—it was because of my existence. Just like in the real lore, Shisui had realized the Uchiha plan of a coup. He tried to stop it but was ambushed by Danzo. The only difference was his next action: he stayed hidden to recover instead of going to Itachi.
Danzo then threatened Itachi, forcing him to commit the massacre. He manipulated the information, saying Shisui had been killed by the old clan head, Fugaku Uchiha.
'This is a better ending than before. Without Danzo, the Root should stop their expansion, but unfortunately, this became the trigger for a civil war in the village.'
The war lasted for a year, resulting in many lives lost. In the end, a new faction was created, and the Third Hokage—that stupid geezer—retired. But the current Hokage now…
My eyes widened in surprise as I realized the current Hokage, the Fifth Hokage, was Kushina Uzumaki. The Kyūbi rampage had ended very differently—she had lost her child and husband in that event. I didn't know the details, but this was just my speculation since the event had still happened.
Minato had died, and the pregnant Kushina had lost her child. She then disappeared from the village, only returning during the civil war, bringing with her dozens of members of the Uzumaki clan.
This changed the structure of Konoha's situation. The Uzumaki clan became the new emerging faction, the Uchiha clan lost most of its power because of the massacre, and the Hyūga were now the strongest and most stable. They also held many seats on the village council.
During the civil war, the Hyūga clan had shown their loyalty to Konoha. Then there were the other clans.
Looking at the time, I realized I was almost late. Today was the final exam at the academy—the test was the same: perform the Bunshin no Jutsu. I didn't know if I could do it or not, but based on my knowledge, I should be able to. In fact, I was an expert at it.
Leaving the room, I saw that breakfast had been prepared on the table with a memo.
Sorry, I had to leave early again for another mission. I made breakfast for you, so don't forget to eat. The final exam is coming up, but don't stress. You've worked hard, and you're ready. Stay calm, take your time, and trust yourself.
I'm proud of you, no matter what. When I get back, we'll celebrate.
Take care and good luck.
Your brother, Shisui
P.S. Don't forget to take care of Itachi's sister. We owe him that, at least.
'Sister?'
I quickly remembered that Sasuke didn't exist here, or maybe this was her female equivalent? Itachi had a sister named Satsuki Uchiha. Her life was now quite bad after the incident. Many of the clan members blamed her for her brother's actions. She was also scrutinized in the academy. You could say she was the one carrying Naruto's fate now.
In the past, I was quite close with her, but now it seems she always keeps some distance from me. I finished my breakfast and then left for the academy.
"Haruto, you're here."
I turned my gaze and saw Sakura coming toward me with a big smile. Without Sasuke, I had become her target of affection.
"Yes, Sakura, are you waiting for me again?"
"Hehe, am I that obvious?"
I chuckled. To think she hadn't changed at all—it was still the same as in the story. She liked someone from the Uchiha clan a lot while looking down on others. Only this time, the target wasn't Naruto but Satsuki Uchiha, the only descendant left from the traitor family.
The cause was also similar—she hated how I always tried to get close to Satsuki.
'But damn, she's cute. Her skin is pale white and smooth, her lips crimson-pink. Her body hasn't grown much, but I can see the curves. I also know how sexy she will become in the future. But unfortunately, now she's still flat-chested.'
She often got teased for this by Ino, as her chest was something else for our age.
We exchanged small talk and entered the class. Many familiar faces appeared before me, making me smile. They had only existed as 2D before, but now each of them was real.
Kiba, Hinata, Shino, Shikamaru, Ino, Choji, Neji, Rock Lee, Tenten—and there were two new faces: Riku Uchiha and Arata Uzumaki. Riku had short black hair with a warm gaze, while Arata had red hair similar to Naruto's style, his eyes coldly looking at me.
I remember Arata saw me as his rival. He always ranked second while I ranked first.
I was happy to see them, but there was still one more person I looked around for until I finally found her, sitting in the back corner by herself. She was busy writing something, her black hair tied in a ponytail.
"Who are you looking at?" Sakura asked while following my gaze.
Her cheeks then turned into a pout. Based on my knowledge, if her personality was the same, she would probably be cursing Satsuki now. Something along the line 'Why does she have to be so annoying all the time? Always trying to act cool—ugh!'
