Inside Lelouch's Room…

Suzaku's mind was still spinning from everything that had happened as he lay on the bed with his newly acquired girlfriend, who happens to be his boyfriend both shockingly Zero and a woman.

First, Zero agrees to SAZ and wants to work with the princess, or the former Princess of Britannia which is another shocker. Suzaku didn't know that Euphie was going to renounce her claim to the throne before announcing it to the entire world. At first, he thought it was Zero's hand in this, but she told him that She was planning to do it from the start. It was still a shocker to him, and it was a shock to everyone. Suzaku soon understood that Zero wasn't using her but she changed his mind. A feat that was thought impossible was now possible.

"There is good in Zero. I really think he wants to help others." She told him but… he didn't understand why she trusted him so much.

Well… until later that night when he came to the home of Lelouch and Nunnally when he saw his best friend, his Lelouch, sleeping in his Zero attire with the helmet. It shattered his heart; it really did when he found out the truth… He yanked Lelouch out of bed and woke him up with a slap!

"Wah- Suzaku?!" Lelouch gasped as he realized his mistake!

He should have locked the door, and put away his outfit but he didn't think Suzaku would be back from SAZ, that he would stay with her…

"You-! You're Zero! How could you do this, Lelouch!" Suzaku snarled as his anger got the better of him.

The two got into a fistfight until Lelouch was knocked down and a vase which ended up breaking over his head and giving him a cut on his head. Nunnally came in by the sounds.

"Is everything okay? I heard sounds." Nunnally wondered as both were still, Suzaku forgetting that the little sister was still here… and he just attacked her brother!

"We're fine, Nunna. There was a mouse in my room and Suzaku was just trying to catch it with a vase." Lelouch lied as he rose up from the floor and covered the wound to his head.

"Oh, okay. Will Suza be staying with us then?" Nunnally asked.

Lelouch looked at the boy who was glaring at him and gave a firm look back.

"No, he won't. He'll be very busy at SAZ and… we won't be seeing him as much anymore." Lelouch answered, fearing Suzaku's temper would make things worse.

"Okay… well, goodbye Suza." Nunnally bid.

Suzaku breathed for a moment to hold down his anger.

"Goodbye, Nunna. I'll be sure to send letters."

Nunnally then left the room in her wheelchair and there was a moment of silence.

"Lelouch… Zero… I won't turn you in because of Nunnally. But at this moment, we're through. I never want to see you ever again." Suzaku coldly declared.

Lelouch said nothing in his defense and only nodded, which only upset Suzaku more as the days passed…

At the SAZ base…

It's been a week since he last spoke to Lelouch, and the bitterness never left.

There has been no word or anything… He hated him, hated him for lying, hated him for what he did, and hated, hated-.

"Suzaku, can I talk to you?"

The knight looked at the former princess, showing a look of concern.

"Princess-."

"No, please don't call me princess. Call me Euphie." She requested, a little saddened by her family's reaction to her renouncing her claim to the throne, "We need to talk alone."

Suzaku nodded and followed her to an empty conference room and locked the door behind them so no one could hear. They both sat down and looked at each other as the young woman was getting ready to speak to her knight.

"I heard, you and Lulu got into a fight… from Nunna," Euphemia informed the young man.

Great… Nunna heard them fight… Just great.

"Euphie, I can explain. I… I found out something about Lelouch and saw he wasn't the person I thought he was." He admitted.

"Even when he's Zero, he's not an evil person."

The third shock came, that the Former Princess Euphie knew that Lelouch was Zero!

"He… told you."

That stung even worse than he wished to believe.

"No, I figured it out. He was as shocked as you are when I found out. Suzaku, I think you made a bad choice." The former princess voiced, "When you confronted him, did you talk to him or ask anything."

"N-no, but I wouldn't know if he would continue to lie to me and-and he betrayed me, killed many good people, caused terror, and…" Suzaku tried to convince her… but sounded like he was trying to convince himself.

"Please, I want to you speak with him. I'm asking as a former princess, not as the maiden you guard as a knight, or the sister of your enemy. I'm asking as a friend, who is seeing two people hurting and it's hurting others connecting to you and him. Nunnally is worried sick about you and Lelouch. She said she hears him crying at night in his room." She informed, "He loves you so much, more than you possibly could know."

Love…

Well, Suzaku did feel that sometimes towards him but-but he was certain he was attracted to girls-.

Wait a minute!

"I don't know if I can forgive, though," Suzaku admitted.

"Just hear him out, please."

At Ashford Academy…

Suzaku was searching for Lelouch who was just out of eyesight as he tried to talk to him.

Lelouch was doing what he wanted, staying away from him. But his sisters were worried and that made Suzaku worried… and thinking about it… he wanted answers, too. He needed to know how Lelouch was able to keep him from dying, why he surrendered to Euphemia, why he killed Clovis and so many others. He soon bumped into Rivalz.

"Oh, hey Suzaku or should I say, Mr. Knight of Seven~!" He greeted as he wrapped his arm around him while Milly and others soon surrounded him.

"Jeez, what is going on with you and Lulu? He's been avoiding you like a plague." Milly wondered as she gave a hairy eye to the boy.

"Err… We got into a fight."

"Yeah, we figured. Sheesh, it must be bad. I've never seen Lelouch so bent out of shape." Rivalz informed, a little worried.

"You know, I would be too if the man I loved wanted me out of his life." Milly sighed.

"Wait, what?"

"You mean you never noticed? Seriously, dude, Lelouch is head over heels for you. Have you ever noticed the way he looks at you? The way his eyes just lock on you?" Rivalz questioned while Kallen was a little surprised.

"Lelouch swings that way?" Kallen questioned.

"The looks like it," Rivalz admitted.

Love?

Lelouch loved him?

No, no, no way. Why would Lelouch love him after everything?

"I need to find Lelouch." Suzaku breathed as he hunted for Lelouch.

Into the city…

Suzaku hunted for Lelouch throughout the day.

It seemed that the teenager was one step ahead of him. But Suzaku was finally catching up with him.

"Lelouch, wait up!" Suzaku shouted as Lelouch was trying to run.

But Suzaku ran after him. There was no way that Lelouch was going to hide from him, he needed answers, and he needed things to be sorted. But before he could reach him, a car came out of nowhere! From there, a noble with an ax to grind.

"There you are, you cheating brat!" The man accused as his good grabbed at Lelouch!

"You can't cheat at chess! Let me go!" He screamed as his eyes were covered with a cloth!

"Hey, release him!" Suzaku ordered but soon was face to face with more goons!

He was forced to fight them while the Noble made off with Lelouch!

At the underground gambling parlor…

Lelouch was trying to keep calm as he was tied up and sitting on a chair and still blindfolded.

Icing, to a really rotten week…

"Alright, you little brat. You think a little street rat could get away from stealing from me?" The fat old noble sneered at him.

"I didn't steal, I won fair and square. It is not my fault you're bad at chess. And turn the other way, your breath stinks." Lelouch insulted him not knowing that the noble pulled a knife.

"You owe me a lot of money, money that could only come from blood. It's a shame that a pretty boy will have to lose a liver or a lung…"

Before Lelouch could voice his protest, the noble swiped his shirt without harming him, exposing his chest and revealing his secret!

"Hey, he's not a boy! He's a girl!" one of the goons idiotically pointed out.

"So, what if I am? Does it make your humiliation less? To lose to a little girl?" Lelouch mocked the men.

"Oh, but it means you're more valuable. A lot of men would pay a pretty penny for a pretty bird like you…" The noble hummed then rubbed his cheek, disgusting Lelouch, "Or maybe I'll keep you for myself…"

"Get your hands off!"

Suzaku?

Before Lelouch could react, he was knocked out!

At Lelouch's dorm…

Lelouch awoke in his bed, wearing the pajamas his sister got for him as Suzaku was looking after him.

"Suzaku…" Lelouch moaned then narrowed his eyes, "Why are you here?"

"Well, you're welcome, Lulu. It was hard taking down those guys, calling the police, and getting you home but you're welcome." Suzaku sarcastically told him, "So, not only are you Zero but a woman, too?"

"How is that any of your business?"

"You became my business, Lelouch, or should I call you by your real name, Luicia?" He firmly informed.

"Please, don't act like you care about me. You hate me. You said you never wanted to see me again." Lelouch scoffed as he crossed his arms… or her arms… their arms.

"I-I don't hate you."

Lelouch then looked at him, surprised to hear that.

"I admit, I was mad I was mad, but I never hated you," Suzaku admitted.

"Do you… or did you save me for my sisters… for Euphemia, your real love?"

Suzaku didn't know what to say and thought back on what the others told him…

"…. She said she hears him crying at night in his room." She informed, "He loves you so much, more than you possibly could know."

Oh.

Now it made sense, now looking back everything made sense…

Why give him that order to live.

Why save him from execution.

Why never let his Black Knights kill him.

Why he would let him go.

And the way Zero talked to him…

Suzaku was officially the biggest idiot in the world.

"How long have you felt this way?" Suzaku wondered with pleading as he saw a stray tear from Lelouch.

"Does it matter?" Zero questioned with his voice cracking, then felt Suzaku cupping his cheek.

"Yes, it does."

Then they shared a kiss… which they sealed their fate.

It was a lot to take in as he looked at the moon outside, then to the soul he loved, who was sleeping after… their reconciliation.

Even coated in sweat and hair ruffled, Lelouch was beautiful… more than a woman, more than a man… like a Black-winged angel of the Night… Euphemia was beautiful, but, only in a fairy-esque way, untouchable and pure… Nunnally was pretty too but like a Nymph, more than she seems and brings life to everything but so gentle and innocent. Lelouch, oh Lelouch was physical, touchable, real and so radiant and deadly. Lelouch was smart, sharp, wise, and kind, forced into the same hell as he, the only one who could really understand him, who really blended with his tainted soul.

A Night Angel Among Sunflowers…

"Get some rest, Lulu. We have a lot to talk about and much to do." Suzaku breathed and then kissed his forehead, where his cut was healing nicely (He would have to apologize again in the morning).

Then went to sleep…
