After a very close battle in the Johto League, Ash, Misty and Brock had found out they had to part ways. Misty didn't even want to, but she knew she had her duties at the gym leader. She wasn't sure if she was going to remain as the gym leader or not.
After returning back to the gym, she noticed that other trainers were taking over until she got there, and they couldn't do anything to train Gyarados. Misty, along with Nurse Joy, attempted to tame the Water/Dragon type, even though Misty had a complete fear of it. It was a very difficult challenge, but after interference from the Invincible Pokémon brothers. Misty managed to conquer her fear of Gyarados and gained its respect after protecting it from a barrage of Poison Sting.
It wasn't long after, Misty decided to remain at the gym, and it had only been a few or more days since her sisters had left. They were on the cruise ship, two were enjoying a sun bath as the third was having a nice time swimming. As they were enjoying their leisure time, the Captain and his crew were watching everyone enjoying their time, yet. They noticed something out of the ordinary. The Captain felt as if they had slightly more guests than was what on the list.
One of his crewmen was looking over the room layout and the tickets that each guest had. They had some suspicions, but they weren't too sure. That was until he spotted something.
"Sir. I think I found something." He informed the Captain.
The Captain went over to him and looked at the map. "What did you find?" he asked him.
"It seems like only one room has been taken up. A middle class room." He informed the Captain.
"Do you know who is in it?" he asked.
"Not for sure. They might have come in with those fake tickets and not known about them." He replied.
After the conversation, the Captain looked at their passengers and looked at three Cerulean sisters and had a strong hunch.
"A kid from Pallet Town, with a brand new world to see. Don't know what's ahead, but it won't get the best of me. There's so much to learn and battles to be won. I've advanced so far and still there's always more to come. Take a step and I'm on my way. Gonna start all over again. I wanna be a hero! (Hero!) Pokémon: Advanced! (I'm on my way!) I wanna be a hero! (Hero!) Give me just one chance. And the future will decide. If there's a hero buried deep inside. I wanna be a hero! Pokémon!"
Back at the Cerulean Gym, Misty was now doing water workouts with her Pokémon. Even her Gyarados joined in. Togepi was trying to join too but Gyarados made sure that she didn't get too close to the pool.
"Thanks, Gyarados." Misty commented.
Gyarados roared proudly, lending its tail to the Normal type. Togepi was delighted as she started to bounce on the Water/Dragon type's tail. Misty smiled. Ever since she protected Gyarados, it had became a brother to Togepi.
"Keep at it, guys! You're doing great." She praised them. They kept on moving about in the water. Getting their muscles loose and toughening them up. "Man! I can't believe how strong you each are getting." Misty complimented.
They continued to do their swimming work out, but Psyduck was having an incredibly difficult time. "Come on, Psyduck! What are you going to do when we have a challenger." She questioned her Water/Psychic Pokémon. She knew how Psyduck was and she knew she needed to train him, but wasn't for sure how. Especially since she knew she needed help.
Back on the cruise ship. Misty's sisters were requested to meet the Captain of the ship. They initially thought he wanted to meet the famous Cerulean sisters, but they didn't know that that wasn't the case.
As they entered the bridge they saw the Captain and some of his crew, along with his second mate. They had smiles on their faces, hoping for a warm welcome.
As the Captain saw them he smiling as well, to help them feel welcome, but he knew he had to get down to business. "I hope you three are enjoying the cruise." He said to them in a bit of a happy manner.
"Yes, sir. We are, like, having a great time so far." Lily told him.
"I'm glad to hear that. Oh, by the way. Have you brought your tickets as we've requested?" he asks her.
"Yeah! Like, of course." Daisy acknowledged as she brought them out and handed them over.
The Captain and his crew members looked at the tickets and the sisters only watched them. Once the crew members looked at each other, they knew what this was. "Where did you happen to get these tickets?" the Captain requested.
"I, like, placed third in a beauty contest." Daisy informed him.
"I'm afraid that these tickets are fakes." The Captain sadly informed them.
"Wait! What?" Violet questioned.
"Like, seriously." Lily added.
"How can they? I, like, managed to win them!" Daisy told him out of frustration.
"My apologies, ladies. But these are fakes." He implied. "You see. There have been a group of people making these fake tickets, getting away with each contest or event that occurs." He adds on. "Often times they'll make a fake ticket or snatch up the real ones for the fake ones just to make some quick cash. They're nearly identical to the original one." he informs them.
"So, unfortunately, your vacation is going to have to come to an end." The First Mate informs them.
"Like, bummer." Daisy said in a very sad tone.
"But we can still make you guys an offer if you tell us where these people were at last. You saw them." The Captain informs them.
"Like, what kind of deal?" Violet requests.
"You three, along with some guests, can go on another vacation cruise. If you three can help us to find them." The First Mate tells them.
"How so?" Lily asked, curious as to ow they could help them find the criminals.
"Where was this beauty contest at?" the Captain requested.
"It was at our home city. Cerulean City." Daisy told him.
From there they looked at each other then to the map they had. The three sisters looked at the map as well and noticed many markings on it.
"They're changing up their strategy still. Especially from the last two times." The First Mate pointed out.
"Which means they might change up their strategy again." The Captain acknowledged.
"What does all that, like, mean?" Violet asked.
The First Mate rubbed his eyes out of frustration from all the work they've been doing. "It means that we need to find out their next move." He informed them. "So far, they've been through any different regions, but we suspect their hq is in Kanto." He adds on.
"One of the last regions we came incredibly close to was Sinnoh. Unfortunately, they managed to get away with only one getting captured." He told them.
"As for right now. We'll be making contact with another port to drop you three off." The Captain informed them.
"We do hope you three enjoy the rest of your stay." The First Mate told them.
It wasn't long after, the ship had gone into a different port, this one was in Olivine. On their way, the sisters were very disappointed that their vacation was cut short.
"Awe man! Like, there goes our vacation around the world." Lily stated.
"I was so hoping to meet some cute guys." Violet commented.
"So much for the beauty contest I entered." Daisy said to herself. Feeling very disappointed about everything.
"At least they're letting us stay until they reach the next port." Violet reminded them.
"Then let's have as much fun as possible." Daisy added. From there they all went off to have as much fun as possible.
Back at the gym, Misty had went out to buy Pokémon food, knowing they were pretty low. Not only that, but, thanks to Brock, she was getting some extra ingredients. "Let's see here, where are… oh! There we are." She said to herself as she picked up a bag of chips for herself. "Yeesh. Those three might be older than me, but they have been pretty irresponsible as well." Misty commented to herself.
From there, Misty checked out and spent the money her sisters left her and went to the gym as she put up most of the Pokémon food but fixed up some for her other Pokémon. After feeding all of them she picked up Togepi as she knew it was time to close up. She looked at her Gyarados who kept a close eye on the baby. "Thanks, Gyarados. See you and the others tomorrow." She told him. "Say bye to Gyarados." She told her baby Pokémon.
"Toge toge. (Farewell.)" Togepi said. Gyarados gave off a soft roar as Misty headed out and to her house. As soon as she went in, she went upstairs and went into her room. She put her stuff down, she put Togepi on her bed and looked at a picture of her, Brock and Ash. She smiled at it as she picked it up and she gently caressed it with her fingers.
"I know it hasn't been long, but I do miss you both. But mostly you, Ash." She said to her picture. From there she put it down and began to wonder how he was doing.
"Tege toge prii toge. (I wonder how daddy is doing as well.)" Togepi said as well.
Ash had been in Hoenn for a couple of days and he had joined up with a new Pokémon trainer, May, after his Pikachu had an incredibly bad build up of electricity. Yet, there was something on May's mind.
"Hey Ash?" She requested.
Ash looked to her. "Yeah May!" he replied to her as his hands were behind his head with Pikachu on his head.
"I'm wondering. How long have you been a Pokémon trainer?" she requested.
"I've been one for a little over three years." He replied to her.
"So, wait. You've been traveling for a little over three years?" May replied in a bit of a surprised tone.
"Yeah. Been a little over three years. Especially with my partner." Ash told her as he pets Pikachu's head.
May looked at with him a sincere face. 'I'll admit, he is kind of cute. I wonder if he has a girlfriend or not.' May thought to herself as they continued to walk.
Meanwhile, with the Sensational Sisters, they were still enjoying their time. They managed to get a massage along with dipping in a hot tub and such. They even enjoyed their meals, especially since the Captain and his crew assisted with getting it all taken care of.
The following day, the sisters were now packing their things as they had learned they'd be making port in Johto. Once they started to arrive, they were given train ticket and were offered a Taxi to be transported to the train station. They got in and started for the train station.
As for Misty, she was now getting her badges ready for any challengers. She went up to the front entrance and opened the gym. "I wonder how many challengers will be coming today?" she wondered to herself out loud. "In any case. I hope I can get this gym to be strong again. Especially from what my sisters have been doing." She stated before going to see her water Pokémon.
With Ash and May, they were now dealing with getting to Oldale Town. It was still fairly early and May was attempting to wake up, even though Ash was used to this. "You're more used to this than I am." May stated.
Ash looked back at her. "Remember. I've been at this for a while. I thought you enjoyed going on journeys." Ash retorted.
"Well, I do love going on journeys. I just didn't expect for a journey to be like this." She commented.
"It might take a while until you get used to it. I know it took me a bit of time, and I was incredibly anxious." Ash recalled.
'Wow. He's been so much more than I have. I wonder how much I have to learn.' May thought to herself.
As they continued on their journey Daisy, Lily and Violet were now riding in the Taxi, barely enough room, but it was doable.
"I've been wondering. How will we, like, tell Misty?" Lily questioned.
"We'll just have to let her know what happened on the cruise." Daisy told them as they rode towards the train station.
They arrived after a few hours and got on the train. During this time, Misty was still learning how to be a gym leader. She made some Pokémon food for breakfast and served it to each of them.
"Here you guys go. Eat up now." She told them. She gave Gyarados the food for the diet he was on, but he growled a bit. "You know the diet you're on. You need something healthy for the time being. It's what the Pokémon doctor ordered." She reminded him. Gyarados was pretty irritated, but he started eating. "Thank you. Now all I have to do now is try to keep my body in shape." She told them.
As she went to go change her sisters were seeing so much of Johto from the train ride as they were traveling through the city. They were amazed at how beautiful the city looked. Even as the sun was over it at noon.
"Like, wow!" Lily exclaimed as she gasped.
"Do you think, like, this is how the country will look as well?" Daisy wondered.
"Maybe so." Violet replied as the train continued down the tracks.
As they rode on the train, they saw how everything looked for a few hours as the train had began to go from Johto to Kanto as they saw how beautiful Johto looked as it was many years since they were last there. But this made Daisy think for a bit of how much Misty traveled with Ash and Brock and she felt like she had torn her away from them. But she felt like she tore her away from Ash, most of all. Especially from how long they had been traveling together.
'She's, like, thirteen and I took her away from her travels.' Daisy thought to herself. 'Once we get back, I have to make this right, somehow.' She continued to think to herself.
It was after the train ride they came to a stop in the afternoon, and they got off and looked around for their next ride. They saw it was a taxicab again and they got in to travel towards Cerulean City. As they started, they were chatting up a storm. Commenting on how their cruise went and how it was still a pretty big bummer that it ended early.
Once they got to Cerulean City, the taxi driver took them to the gym, as per their request. Once they arrived they gave the driver some cash for the extra distance he had to travel to get them home. Once they got out they started for the entrance, seeing how the gym still looked.
"It looks like the same." Violet commented.
"No duh! We weren't even away for that long." Daisy reminded her.
They had a small laugh before they began to go inside. As they did, they went through the front entrance.
"I wonder where Misty is, like, at." Daisy wondered.
"Hey, they're gone!" Misty exclaimed.
"Huh?" the three sisters said in unison, and they went to where they thought they heard Misty.
"Don't worry. I have a feeling I know where they are." Misty reassured someone.
"Who's, like, here with her?" Violet questioned.
They went to go and see who was with Misty and as soon as they crossed paths they were completely shocked and surprised. "What the…Daisy, Lily, Violet! What are you three doing here?" Misty questioned as she was completely startled by her three sisters being there incredibly early.
"It's a bit of a long story sis, but what are you looking for, exactly?" Daisy asked her.
"I-I'm looking for the badges." Misty told her, in a surprised tone still.
"Oh. I think we're out of them." Violet began to recall.
"What? Even from the safe?" Misty questioned, still in complete shock at them being back that early.
"Unfortunately, so. Oh?" Daisy replied until she looked and saw Tracey behind Misty. Daisy blushed a bit. She never knew that once she got back, she would see a guy that not only looked cute, but looked very handsome at that.
"So where do we go to get them?" Misty questioned them further.
"You have to go to Rifure Village and pick them up." Daisy informed her.
"I'm surprised we don't just order them." Misty commented.
"I'll even, like, join you." Daisy reassured her.
"W-wait. You will?" Misty questioned.
"Yep. It's the least I could do after we went on that vacation." Daisy told her.
"By the way. What happened that made you guys come back incredibly early?" Misty asked.
The three looked a bit hesitant, but knew they'd have to explain eventually.
"Well, you see, like, the Captain and his crew wanted to see us real fast and requested that they see our tickets." Violet started.
"We at first, like, thought they want to meet the Sensational Sisters." Lily continued.
"After asking us how the cruise was going and requesting for our tickets. They told us those were fakes." Daisy informed them.
"What! Fakes?" Tracey stated, surprised.
"I know I came in third at a beauty contest." Daisy mentioned.
"Y-yeah. I'll say." Tracey commented to himself as he blushed a tad bit, but Misty was able to hear him still, but Sakura didn't hear him at all as she was focused on Daisy, Lily and Violet.
"Yet, we discussed it all after we found out the tickets were fakes." Violet told them.
"Daisy is more of a close second." Violet stated as she put her hands on her hips, knowing her oldest incredibly well.
"I'd more say first." Tracey blurted out. They all looked at him, then he blushed out of embarrassment, knowing what he had just said. He knew he'd have to come up with something. "Uuhhh-uuhhh y-you look m-more of a number one th-than a numb-b-ber three." He commented. "I-I'm s-sure we can p-possibly all agree." He told them with an incredibly nervous tone.
This might have worked in his favor, but Misty could tell what was going on. Yet, she knew this would have to wait for the time being.
"Since Daisy has volunteered to travel with us, I suggest that me, Sakura and Tracey all head out there together." Misty suggested. "That way, Daisy and I aren't the only ones who know about how badges are made." Misty told them.
"Misty is, like, right." Violet commented.
"She has a pretty strong point. It would be nice for them to know how to get the badges." Lily commented as well.
"Yeah. I'd love to experience this." Sakura told them.
"Uh-huh. It's settled them. We'll head out to Rifure village and get the badges the gym needs." Misty stated.
From there, they started to get ready and packed a couple of tents, just in case. After getting their supplies together, they were ready, and they met Lily and Violet at the entrance.
"Lily and I will, like, hold down the fort." Violet reassured them.
"Gotcha, but if you need any help contact Nurse Joy. I left a list of what I do so far, and no in-between snacks for Gyarados. He's on a diet." Misty informed them.
"Like, gotcha." Violet replied.
"Don't worry about a thing. We got it covered." Lily told them.
"See you guys soon." Daisy told them and they started to head out.
So far, with Misty's sisters back incredibly early. Misty is going to learn a bit more about being a gym leader, but for how long? What lies ahead for them? We'll find out soon as the journey continues.
"Take a step and I'm on my way. Gonna start all over again. I wanna be a hero! (Hero!) Pokémon: Advanced! (I'm on my way!) I wanna be a hero! (Hero!) Give me just one chance. And the future will decide. If there's a hero buried deep inside. I wanna be a hero! Pokémon!"
