Sup, tis I, Shiwftie.

As you can see I have a habit of starting new stories before finishing the other ones on my plate. What can I say, I can't get this idea out of my head and I think writing something else other than Radiowaves to Heaven/Checkmate Lovers would do me good in terms of inspiration, and make sure that I don't burn out.

This one, is a bit different from the rest, where I started in the midst of the protag's life and didn't put much thought into the state of the world at the time. With Secondary Character, I aim to build Issei's personality and powers from the ground, with no prior Supernatural experience and no Boosted Gear. I don't believe I can achieve the same result with the cheat code called Red Dragon Emperor's Gauntlet just because it steamrolls throughout the canon with minimal effort, only by nerfing Issei a writer can put meaningful fights, which I don't particularly like.

As always, this one is gonna be a Single Pairing Fic, with a unique heroine that doesn't get much screen time, what a surprise, right, coming from a guy that writes about SonaxIssei. You'll know who our female lead is in a min, dw.

Let's explain the premise and hopefully hook a few of ya up; Issei's a human, and will remain human, he won't be interfering with the Canon, hence, the title, Secondary Character. He's not the main character of the world around him and won't act like one, either. Our favorite pervert will have his own goals, separate from the ORC. The World will move without him, as he's not the Red Dragon Emperor of this century, rather, someone else is. By all means, Issei is just a regular high schooler that's tryna get by.

He'll have a mediocre Sacred Gear, an OC, but it won't materialize late into the story, and he won't be meddling with the Supernatural as well. And the most important part is, this fic will be true to his canon self, with only slight adjustments in his personality due to some events that will happen.

Anyways, I don't like to write 1k words full of spoilers and notes, so I'll just leave y'all with the Story.

"Yoooooooo, Mats. Did you get the memo?" Speaking on the phone, one young man was filled with ecstasy, whether due to the timer on the screen in front of him, or the fact that his bestie finally decided to pick up, remained unknown.

"Uh… No? What's the big deal?" The boy on the other side of the line sounded exhausted, and the brunette knew exactly why. However, Hyoudou Issei was no man that could forgive such ignorance.

"You're on the treadmill again? Just get on, dude. The Launch starts in an hour, AN HOUR!" Issei worked his ass off to get these invitations so that they could play the next generation of the game both of them fell in love with, going as far as using his dad's connections to reach out to the publisher of the game in person to get them. It wasn't easy, but he pulled it off.

"Shit… I'll be online in fifteen, just wait for me in the group chat. Need to take a shower asap." The panic could be heard in his tone, as the boy had been waiting for over two months for this very day, when both Issei and him would spend the remainder of the week turning their brains off and just grinding.

"You better be, Baldy. Else I'm gonna bust your flat." It didn't feel as good with just by himself, Issei could say that as he was no loner. With Mats, he had fun that couldn't be replicated by any other person. They clicked on so many levels, it was only natural that they ended up as best friends.

"I'd like to see you try, but I'm afraid we have more important business tonight, Softie." A nickname Issei infamously earned, during their adventures, as he would often be left behind when they went on to peep on the Kendo Girls and took the beating. The brunette fell for it everytime and didn't mention being discontent with it, either.

"Oi! What did I say about calling me softie?" However, the pet name itself was more than enough to make him mad. Issei had no issue being called as such by Women, yet when it's Mats, he knew that prick didn't mean it in the slightest and only used it to ridicule him.

"What am I to do if you're a maiden at heart, make fun of it, of course. Anyways, gotta go. Love ya, no homo."

"Love you too babe, no homo."

As the boy hung up, Issei collected his phone and decided to scroll on social media. What better way to spend his free time, right?

"You said you would be online in fifteen, jackass. Now, thanks to you, we're in an endless queue." Almost fuming, the brunette screamed through the headset. If only that baldy came earlier.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, Why do you have to shout out that loud? You know your mic sounds like shit, don't you?" In truth, the mic was fine. It was Issei himself that adjusted the settings and made it as pitched as possible to torture his buddies.

"You deserve it, shut up. And my mic is FINE." Emphasizing the last part, the boy savored the screech his bestie made. It was Issei's way of paying Matsuda back, and boy it worked wonders everytime.

"So, we gotta wait at least… an hour of q time, darn." An hour they could use to get the best out of, as they knew the mechanics of the RPG by heart. Scout out the starting gear, make the best out of it until they could afford to travel to the [Hidden Quest] on the eastern side of the map to get the best early game set. Skip the mandatory training with a glitch and there they go.

"Even I didn't expect such queue times, that means either they don't want the servers for the Early Access to be overloaded, or they gave up so many codes that the company couldn't prepare for the immense interest." Truth is, they both attended the Alpha and provided feedback constantly. Issei was really excited to get into early access and see how much they improved the systems and the balance, which had been a defining issue during the first launch.

"I think it's due to the fact that there was plenty of footage from the Alpha leaked and it skyrocketed the interest, couple it with the amount of streamers and reviewers, I even dare to say that the entire player count without them would be around below fifteen thousand. You remember the time we went through a full session without encountering anyone, right?" The good times, when there wasn't any queue and they could enjoy the Alpha to their heart's desire.

"Haha, I do. If I remember right, didn't that one moderator warn us and ban us for fifteen minutes because we had exceeded the normal playtime for a day?" They knew the Moderators and their ID's, due to the duo constantly encountering issues and reporting them.

"Ye, how could I know gaming for eight hours straight in Alpha wasn't allowed?" The recommended playtime for the previous launch was for Six hours a day, so that the player base wouldn't burn out of the game in a short time and contributed to the development.

"I know right, it's ridiculous. However, they didn't announce something like that for the Early Access, you know what that means, right?"

"We skippin school for a while, and use up our savings to be totally online at all costs. Imma make a detailed guide and post it, in the meantime. You should look for anything that changed from the Alpha and I'll optimize the path from the start." The Perverted Duo had an agreement amongst each other after they'd been accepted for the Alpha, to make sure that they would start in Hardcore and reach level hundred before anyone else, earning their name to be engraved in the Statue.

"Then I'll be off from the starting area without completing the tutorial, and head straight to the Islands. If anything changed, it would be the first boss and the minibosses. I'm sure they adjusted the difficulty after receiving so many complaints." The first boss was notoriously easy for its rewards, and it would allow the player to progress without the necessary quest to defeat the second boss.

"You do that, I'll look for anything that could be used in the tutorial scene. As far as I can remember, there used to be a switch that would allow the player to reach for a secret weapon. If it's still there, min-maxing the first town is still the same. If it ain't, we need to complete the mandatory quest to get something decent."

"I wonder if the Manipulator is as broken as before. If it is, I have no doubt I'll be wiping out two rooms at once when I get my hands on GlassSinger. That shit used to be so satisfying." His favorite class, the Manipulator. As the name suggested, this class could manipulate everything depending on the player's potential and knowledge of the game. By everything, Issei meant it. Whether it's his character's relationship with the NPC's, the Kingdoms, the Islanders, or the Elements of the World.

Not everyone knew how to play this class efficiently, as there were more than several ways to play it and it was hard. However, Issei had been accustomed to switching his spell slots and dealing the highest DPS possible with the class because he had played the class in the Prequel.

"I'm sure they kept it, not everyone can play it like you do. The harder the class is, the merrier the rewards. I'll be sticking to my Magi-Forcer, thank you very much." Matsuda's class, Magi-Forcer, was an exception to the Game's standard combat style. The Class revolved around only one Spell in the early game, Reflection. Without any other way to deal damage, the grind for the class surpassed the ordinary ones. However, the reason Matsuda kept playing as Magi-Forcer had no relation to the weakness, Issei could cover the early game with his Manipulator just fine.

"You're going to break the bosses again, aren't you?" The Magi-Forcer class excelled at one on one confrontations, especially in mid-game. The Reflection spell could be enhanced and evolved to Analyse if the conditions are met, which allowed the class to flourish in level forty. The evolved Analyse had a drastic effect on bosses, which allowed the character to perform a spell to dispel the Bosses attacks and spells and use a nerfed version of them by sacrificing a spell slot.

"What can I say? I like being able to one shot every boss with their own Spells." Even if the Spell was nerfed, Matsuda's build allowed him to perform the attacks on a marginally better level, which resulted in bosses being obliterated in under five minutes.

At that time, they've been waiting for their turn to enter the character creation menu for the past forty minutes. However, lady luck would finally give them the edge.

"You're seeing what I'm seeing?" With perplexed eyes he stared at the screen, unable to register what happened. Did… his efforts prove to be enough?

"Fuck yeah I DO, BABY!" Not even wasting another second, Matsuda entered his credentials and logged in to the game.

"Itsuno, You're my favorite game dev from now on. THANK YOU!" The Head of the Japanese department, Itsuno, was a close friend of his father due to their shared past, as they both worked for SEGA in the nineteens. That man was the reason why they could get the Early Access keys earlier than the rest, allowing them to download the game prior to its launch. A secret they vowed to keep.

"Let's see… They adjusted the class bonuses a bit, nothing major in the early game. It'll be hard to deal with DragonKnights in the late game, tho. And Diabolos Race got nerfed a bit, thank god it was unbalanced as fuck." Every class and race had its own advantages and disadvantages, such as taking more damage from their natural enemies and dealing more damage to them. A Diabolos DragonKnight would be wiped by an Aethereus Lancer, and the latter would have been purified by Elven Cursebearers.

In the Alpha, Issei and Matsuda analyzed every race thoroughly, before deciding to play as Humankin, due to their neutrality and advantages over non-humanoid creatures. The only disadvantage was they couldn't access race bonuses like other classes do, which would slow down their progress and decrease their DPS against many players. However, the pros were enough to convince them.

"I'll go with something unusual, is that cool w ya?" Matsuda had different plans, Issei could see that.

"You're not going to play as Magi-Forcer?" The change in classes would definitely hurt their progress, as they planned the entire campaign with their class tandem.

"No no, I'll stay with it. Just that, I… want to try being an Aethereus. They buffed the magicka regen and the innate ability quite a bit, I think it'll be a better choice early on. Just that, I might have some trouble with Elves and Diabolos, but you're on my side, so I don't have any doubts we'll PK them easily." It was a gamble, if Mats doesn't calculate the dmg difference exactly, his character would be erased when he dies, courtesy of Hardcore, only one life for everyone.

"Go for it, I'll stick with Humankin Manipulator, someone's gotta boost you in low levels, after all." Issei's character would prove to be enough in the early game, as an Aethereus Magi-Forcer would be quite the glass cannon that wouldn't develop the cannon part for another twenty levels.

"We desperately need a front-liner with this setup, y'know that right." Both of the classes were going to suffer during the early game, and the duo needed someone to take the aggro of certain mini-bosses so that they could advance.

"I'll see what I can do, maybe I'll be able to manipulate the commander early on. Are you comfortable with the Kingdom coming after us?" The Knight Commander of the Holy Kingdom, a level 70 NPC that had one of the most broken stat sheets of the game. His endurance and vitality rivaled that of a level 80 Boss. Issei had been able to manipulate the character and corrupt him in the Alpha version, however, he could only achieve it because his LCK and INT was at least 70 out of 100, with CHR on 101.

"Well… not exactly as I'm playing Aethereus. If it wasn't Hardcore, we would've been able to pull it off with a few deaths here and there. Consider the PK'ers as well, a bounty on our names would fuck us up." The Infamy system played a huge part in Manipulator's capabilities, corrupting the Commander would leave him with utmost infamy and the Kingdom would put a bounty on his head, visible to all players.

"So… We're going to find someone to take the aggro for us… damn. Nevermind, let's get into it, I'm sure we'll find a way."

"What's the worst that could happen?"

"YOU HAD TO JINX US, DIDN'T YOU, MOTHERFUCKER!"

"HOW COULD I KNOW THAT YOU'D TRY TO CORRUPT THE SHOPKEEPER, PRICK!"

In an effort to min-max the early stages, Issei and Matsuda split up and decided to do their own thing. Matsuda looked for any glitches that transitioned from the Alpha and the Closed Beta, such as skipping the tutorial with the rewards under a few seconds, which he successfully pulled off. The brunette, however, had different plans, not even participating in the Tutorial and forsaking the rewards, Issei went straight to work his magic and take one of the shopkeepers in the town for himself and Matsuda, by manipulating the Keeper and selling all her gear to him for free.

Needless to say that the Devs might've adjusted the difficulty on the earlier levels, as the whole Guardian unit of the Town had been chasing them ever since Issei failed the Manipulation check.

"I can't fucking believe you! We're gonna dieeeeeeeeee."

"I'm gonna run out of stamina soon, and I can't manipulate any one of them. The only option is to find somewhere safe and teleport the fuck outta here."

"IF only one deranged motherfucker thought this through, by not trying to manipulate before reaching level 10, we could've avoided THIS."

"I'm limit testing, baldy. Now I know that I can't manipulate as well as I did in the Beta, so we'll take a different approach."

"Which is?"

"I'll pay the bounty, it's a small amount anyway. Then I'll look for someone that can sell you some starting gear, so that I can take it from you. I don't think NPC's here will trust me ever again. Then we'll head out to the fields and grind a bit, after that we'll look for certain NPC's once I'm level 15, to trigger the quests for GlassSinger and Staff of Chaos. Sounds good enough, no?"

"You say it as if we have any other choice, Softie."

"We don't, will it slow our progress? Definitely. Will it affect us in the long run? Nah, after I'm level 40 I'm corrupting the hell out of these Guardians."

"Let's roll, then."

"We've lost a bit of progress due to my experiments, but everything turned out to be fine, you see." A bit of progress meant Issei had to convince the guardians, the townsfolk and the Keeper for about an hour, meanwhile Matsuda tried to get him some gear in the nearest town.

"We're behind the PK'er, he's level 18 now. If he grinds like that, he'll be coming right after your ass as soon as he gets the [Perpetrator] Sub-class, HK12."

"Which one, DvDCat?" The infamous DvDCat, bane of Issei's existence and Matsuda's friend from the Alpha. He's famous for being able to take on anyone in one on one confrontations, even going as far as keeping a list of active players and taking them down. The reason he and Issei had quite the enmity was simple, in the early days of the Alpha version, DvDCat murdered nearly the entirety of the playerbase, which was a measly 1000 people. Nearly because Issei's manipulator with 87 LCK and 90 CHR softlocked his character, gaining control of a player's avatar for the first time with Manipulator.

Why did he PK? That's due to his sub-class, Perpetrator. From level 20 and onwards, Diabolos Cursebearers had a hidden class quest that would softlock the exp gain from the quests and monsters, however, in exchange of being unable to level up with grinding, they were rewarded with a [Perk]. Murderous Perpetration.

As a member of the Diabolos race, DvDCat had an advantage against every class, dealing 1.2x more damage and taking 1.2x more, but Aethereus. His Class, Cursebearer, would give him another percent dmg reduction everytime he was able to imbue a creature with a Curse, nullifying the taken dmg increase debuff. Naturally, he would come out on top against everyone but Aethereus' players.

However, the reason for his PK habit was due to his unorthodox build. Murderous Perpetration [Perk] was the real game changer, breaking the game if utilized properly. The perk came with another advantage, something that wasn't adorned in any other game. Stat Stealing.

If DvDCat kills the avatar of a player, in Hardcore Mode, they keep of the stats and experience of the slain player.

"I'm sure he ain't gonna remember that from the Alpha, would he?"

"Just saying, he's level 19 now. After 25, we'll see if he's gonna publish the list."

"I'll be able to hold him off, just need GlassSinger asap. You're an Aethereus, if push comes to shove, we'll 2v1 him."

"We're two classes that's utterly weak in the early game, against a Diabolos Cursebearer. Even 2v1, we'll lose."

"We'll see about that, let's get going. Islands await."

"What's the PK'er doing?"

"He changed classes, got the Murderous Perpetrator Perk. Just published the list on the forums too, looks like he's getting quite the heat."

"Any victims?"

"He's level 26, bound to be. That madman should be the strongest PK'er at this moment. Even with your GlassSinger, and my Staff of Chaos ready, I doubt we'll be able to win considering we're 4 levels behind and he's got the class advantage."

"Fucking sweat."

"Say what you want about him, guy's been making fair progress. Oh, he's got a streamer down. That's hilarious. The guy's fuming."

"Which one?"

"The Famous MMORPG streamer, Sliver. To think that he'd go after such people, he's one crazy mofo, I'll tell you that."

"If DvDCat keeps going like that, I'm sure the player-base will put a bounty on him sooner or later."

"I'm not sure, being able to PK is a skill in itself. And he's doing what his Sub-class requires him to do, so Moderators can't take action against him just because he went after a famous streamer. Even if he's got a bounty, he'll benefit from it more than they do."

"Right… Hey, do you have his info? If you do, invite him to gc."

"I do, but why?"

"Taking a PK'er like him with us will benefit both parties, as his infamy skyrocketed, he can't even trade with NPC's, which will become a headache after a while. As we're with a PK'er, no one will be able to touch us before lv. 40."

"Yeah, but don't you forget something? Like the guy's gonna come after you when he finds out you're the same guy from the Alpha?"

"Naaah, I'm sure it'll be fine."

"Sup."

"Wassup, DvDCat. Thanks for dropping by." Taking the lead, Matsuda greeted the newcomer.

"Don't mention it, got nothing better to do. Think of it as my payback for that time in the Alpha, Baldy."

"You're welcome, but I don't believe I did that much, just wanted to even the playground." It was one of the few times that DvDCat had been cornered in the Alpha, when he was trying to enhance his weapon and get back to the Fields.

"Still, you helped me. That's something I won't forget for a while. If it wasn't for you, my avatar in Alpha would've been erased."

"Cut the crap, honestly. How could I call myself a Veteran player if I can't deal with being jumped on? It's a matter of pride, too."

"Yeah, it is. Who's the other guy, by the way?"

"You know him very well, but I won't spoil the surprise."

"Hmm… HK12? HK12… Motherfucker." The change in the tone, it indicated that DvDCat still remembered the Incident.

"Sup, HK12 here. Sorry about softlocking your character for a day, but it was the only reasonable thing to do."

"HOW?"

"Manipulator Class, duh."

"You're playing the worst class in the history of the franchise, don't bullshit me. Do you have admin privs?"

"I don't, prick. Don't you dare call my class the worst just because I don't have any form of consistent DPS like the other classes. You do your job by fighting, I do by Manipulating the game. Also, be proud, you were the first one in the game's history that I managed to manipulate."

"What does that even mean?"

"Look man, I've been playing Manipulator since the prequel. My class is able to corrupt the NPC's and take over them, that's how I progress. Never have I ever encountered a Manipulator being able to take control of another player's avatar, that's not supposed to happen in the Prequel. However, in this game, I can and you were the first one to be controlled by me."

"I… see. How does manipulating NPC's even work? I'm not the type to use workarounds like that, but you got me curious."

"Infamy system and my stats, primarily LCK, INT and CHR. As long as I have high fame and trust among the NPC's, I can control them to an extent. You were playing around the time when Daedalus' Royal Family got into a bloody conflict, right?"

"Yeah, that shit had me on the PC for about twelve hours, it was interesting as fuck to side with Factions and decide the new Emperor. I got my fair share of rewards as well due to PK'ing players on the other side of the conflict."

"Yeah, I orchestrated that World Event."

"What?"

"I just had a small talk with the Prince, that's all."

"You can talk with the NPC's as you wish? How?"

"Manipulator innate ability, [Sweet Devil]. It allows me to open up another dialogue window and type whatever I want, not limiting myself with the standard replies. The NPC's are powered through Artificial Intelligence, and it works flawlessly. I've had so many hidden quests like Daedalus Conflict due to my class being able to trigger certain scenarios only accessible to Manipulators."

"How did you do it? Creating carnage amongst the Daedalus as a Humankin should be right next to impossible."

"I've always known that the Daedalus Emperor had a bastard child, due to another hidden quest given to me by the Princess. I sneaked around and found that the Eldest Prince had ambitions, organizing a coup d'etat type of ambitions. After that, it took me about three days IRL to come up with enough evidence and present them to the Prince, who organized a coup after learning that he was not going to be the next in line, his younger brother would be, due to their differing ideals regarding the people of Daedalus."

"Hol' up, Imma invite some of my friends here. This shit is peak. Is that cool w y'all?"

"Sure, I like to brag about it, hehe."

Issei's greatest achievement in the Alpha, Daedalus Conflict.

Everybody thought it was a scripted event done by the Admins, but only Issei, Matsuda and the devs knew why it happened. A full-scale skirmish that went on for a month, until the closing days of the Alpha. He wanted to take it to the next step, but couldn't due to the fact that Alpha version neared its end by the time Issei could even present Holy Kingdom with the news and make them involved in Daedalus' internal affairs.

This time, he would manipulate the shit out of both sides and walk away with puppets on each hand.

"Zaz, Slash/Dog, this is HK12, a Humankin Manipulator, along with his buddy, FedeBaldy, an Aethereus Magi-Forcer, you know the latter due to my partnership with him in the Alpha."

"Hola, It's a pleasure meeting you lads. I'm Zazakiel, but you can call me Zaz."

"Slash/Dog here, DvDCat wouldn't stop bothering me, so I had to answer. Nice to meet ya." Issei could swear he could recognize the voice of the Slash/Dog, but couldn't put his finger to it.

"It's my pleasure, gentlemen. DvDCat, is there anyone else you're gonna call? If not, I'll continue."

"No no, Zaz and Dog are the only ones. They're my buddies and we played together in the Alpha. Tell them about the Daedalus Conflict."

"Wait, the Daedalus Conflict? What of it?" The eldest of them, Zaz, couldn't contain himself and intervened. If Issei were to assume, the voice belonged to a middle-aged man with alcohol problems.

"Yeah, that one. As I was telling DvDCat, I was the man behind the whole incident, perpetrating it from the Royal Court. All it took was convincing the Prince, rightfully with evidence. The Conflict broke out once the Prince publicly executed the Bastard child of the Emperor."

"The Emperor had an illegitimate child? What? Isn't that an offense to Diabolos' culture?" Interrupting again, but this time it was Slash/Dog.

"Correct, the Emperor violated the sacred culture of the Diabolos. The child had been raised in the Aethereus' Holy Kingdom, by the Knight Commander, a double agent for Daedalus Empire placed by the Emperor himself without informing anybody else. The only reason I was able to find the kid was through being accepted to the Royal Court, aligning myself with Princess Melaine, and surfing through the documents."

"A Humankin on Daedalus' Sacred Court? How?" They were hooked and Issei could feel it, after all, he pulled the biggest scheme on the Alpha.

"I'm a Manipulator, it's only natural that I can bypass some requirements with my CHR. It was Princess Melaine herself that made me her servant in the beginning, because of her sympathy for Humankin. She had been the one to inform me about the possibility of the Emperor having an illegitimate child, due to his Majesty's frequent trips to the Aethereus in the shadows."

"You could learn that much by just interacting with the NPC's? That's something new to me." Zazakiel couldn't believe the depths of the fun little game he played every once and then, which was due to DvDCat's constant botherings to play games with him.

"Normal classes can't, you're only presented with standard dialogues. As I've told DvDCat, due to my Manipulator Class' innate ability, I'm able to push more and more conversations with them if my stats and real life speech allow me to. After talking with Princess Melaine, I went straight to the Knight Commander of Aethereus' Holy Kingdom. It took me a while, but I was able to corrupt the Commander to give me the exact backstory, which I leveraged against the Prince. Let's say he didn't take it well." It was one of the few times that Issei could absolutely feel the emotions of an NPC clearly, as he had been a part of the Event for the past couple of days.

"So, let me get this straight. You got accepted as the servant of Princess Melaine, worked on your relationship with her for a while, found out that the Emperor had a bastard boy, the said boy is linked with the Aethereus' Empire's Knight Commander, whom you Manipulated to give you the boy's location, captured the boy and confronted the Prince of the Daedalus, who's an infamous supremacist. All that resulted in the Daedalus Conflict?"

"More or less, yeah. Trust me, Slash/Dog, I wasn't even aware I was orchestrating a civil war until the Prince fucking decided to execute his Majesty's bastard child. That is when I said, oh fuck no I've done something irreparable."

"Damn… I've always thought that it was a timed event by the Devs. However, this is much better than that. Imagine what you'd be able to do if you got other nations involved. A full-scale World War. That would be fan-fucking-tastic."

"I was going to, don't get me wrong. I was working alongside Queen Ayleid to meddle with the internal affairs of the already weakened Daedalus'. If I had a few days more, you'd have the World War you desired. However, I now know what I'll do once I hit Level 55."

"What is it?"

"Orchestrate the Daedalus Conflict once more, but this time, I'll need the Prince to win the conflict."

"If the Prince claims the Throne, I have no doubt the relationships with the Aethereus would go down the hill pretty quick." DvDCat could already feel what was to come clearly.

"If the Prince wins, I'll be able to hold some power within the Daedalus Empire, which I'll use to guide the Prince to declare full-scale war after weakening the Holy Kingdom. After that, unending PvP will ensue."

"Which would benefit every single one of us since we know what will happen, we could even get some land if we play our cards right."

"Dream big, Zazakiel. You're playing an Aethereus, right? Why stop at some chunk of land when we can get the full control of the Empires by ruling behind the shadows? The only problem is Elves, I need someone there, too."

"I'll be able to help you with that, I'm playing an Elven Lancer, but I'll branch out to Scythe Hatter later. One of my race quests gives me enough fame to hold meetings with the Elders, if you're comfortable, I'll be able to bring you as an Honorary guest to the Council."

"Perfect. Let's do that, Slash/Dog." If Issei could pull this off, they would be able to complete the game before anyone else as everybody would be so occupied with the constant Quests due to the unending War amongst the Empire and the Kingdom.

"Then, all we have to do is grind as much as we can before you pull the trigger. DvDCat is going to have a field day." Zazakiel's laugh echoed, this new kid, he had potential.

"I'm already on the way to PK another streamer, need to rack up my Infamy so that the Daedalus Prince calls me in time of need. I'll miss the Princess' rewards, though."

"Don't worry about it, I'll take care of it once I become close with the Prince. I'm not a manipulator for nothing, after all." Being able to tamper with quest classifications and rewards were only the tip of the iceberg.

"Oh…" DvDCat had been becoming more and more interested in HK12's capabilities.

"Anyway, I gotta go. It was nice knowing you lads, I'll send you two reqs." Slash/Dog fled early, presumably because of work.

"Likewise, have a nice one."

"Yeah? What is it, Tobio-san?" As they were grinding with Matsuda and Zazakiel, Issei's phone rang. Deciding it would be better to answer it, the brunette was surprised to see that the other person in the line was someone he was quite familiar with.

"Yeah, Kiddo, I might need some help here. Inazuma and Kagawa took a day off, I need you and Mats to look after the place. Are you two available at the moment?" Issei knew that Tobio-san wouldn't call them out of nowhere if he could find anyone to replace the staff.

"Well…" Truth is, Issei didn't want to let his Aniki down. However, it was the Launch day, dammit.

"I'll pay you double, deal?"

"I'll be there in fifteen, what do you want me to do?" Issei was no man that could turn down 2000 Yen an hour.

"You fill Inazuma's shoes, tend to the customers. Mats will take care of the bar and act as our bouncer. I'll let you two off the hook once it's 5 a.m, cool?"

"Cool cool, do you have the suit I left there a few weeks ago?" Matsuda and Issei often helped around and worked part time at the Bar, to save up some money every now and then. Tobio-san was a cool boss, the brunette could say that.

"I do, you can use the second floor to get ready, I'll give you the keys."

"You're one hell of an Aniki, you know that right?"

"What can I say, I'm charming." Indeed, Tobio-san was charming. Issei could even say that he was one of the most handsome people he had ever met.

"Alrighty, Bye, Tobio-san."

"I'll be waitin', Bye!"

That's it for chapter one.

For those who are wondering, where is the third wheel of the Perverted Trio. That's something I'll explain in time.

I just wanted to write to my heart's desire for this chapter, and I'll officially kickstart the plot of this fic in the second chapter.

For what it's worth, thank you for reading.

Shiwftie, out.
