Godzilla rose from the ocean with a roar that echoed across the city, shaking the very foundations of Tokyo-3. His massive form, ancient and primal, dripped with seawater as he advanced toward the shore, each step sending tremors through the ground. The sheer weight of his presence was undeniable, a force of nature incarnate. His eyes, glowing with the power of a creature that had witnessed the rise and fall of countless civilizations, locked onto the Angel, Sachiel.
For a moment, the Angel paused in its assault, as if sensing the overwhelming threat now before it. Compared to Godzilla, Sachiel was small—its gangly, humanoid form barely reaching the towering behemoth's chest. It seemed almost insignificant next to the monstrous king.
Before the Angel could raise its AT Field or prepare a defense, Godzilla unleashed his atomic breath. A brilliant, searing beam of blue energy shot from his mouth with a terrifying speed. The Angel had no time to react. Its AT Field didn't even have a chance to materialize. The beam struck Sachiel square in the chest, and the force was catastrophic. The Angel was blasted backward, crashing through several buildings with a deafening impact, sending concrete and steel flying in all directions.
Godzilla didn't slow down. He stepped onto the shore, his enormous feet crushing the streets below, and advanced toward the city without so much as a glance at the Evas. Unit-01, Unit-00, and Unit-02 stood like statues, their pilots inside watching in awe. Even Shinji, usually filled with fear and uncertainty, was silent. There was something otherworldly about Godzilla's power, something far beyond the comprehension of the Evangelion pilots.
"He... He just destroyed the Angel," Asuka's voice came through the comms, incredulous. "Without even trying."
Misato, watching from the command center, was equally stunned. "So, this is the King of the Monsters," she whispered.
As Godzilla walked past the Evangelions, his massive tail swung, narrowly avoiding the Evas as if they were beneath his notice. It was as if they were nothing more than insects to him—irrelevant in the grand scheme of his existence.
"He's completely ignoring them," Ritsuko said, watching the monitors. "The Evas don't even register as a threat to him."
Godzilla advanced deeper into the city, his sights still locked on Sachiel, who was struggling to rise from the rubble. The Angel's glowing core was exposed, flickering faintly as it attempted to regenerate from the devastating blow. But it was too late. Godzilla's steps shook the ground as he drew closer, his dorsal fins glowing with power.
The Angel let out a desperate shriek, a futile cry against a predator far beyond its understanding. In a single swipe, Godzilla's massive hand came down, smashing through the Angel's body and shattering its core. With a blinding flash, Sachiel's body erupted in an explosion of light and energy, consumed by the sheer might of Godzilla's attack.
The King of the Monsters stood amidst the ruins of the city, triumphant and untouched. He let out another earth-shattering roar, declaring his dominance over both Angel and man alike. As he began to turn and make his way toward the horizon, the Evangelions remained frozen, their pilots awestruck by the spectacle of power they had just witnessed.
"Is he… leaving?" Shinji asked, his voice quiet, unsure.
Misato let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "Looks like he came to deal with the real threat. To him, we're nothing. He's not interested in fighting us."
From his position at the command center, Gendo Ikari watched silently, his glasses reflecting the image of the retreating Godzilla. His gamble had worked. But even he, the man who orchestrated the Human Instrumentality Project, could not help but feel a sense of foreboding. They had called upon a force far older and more dangerous than any Angel.
And now, the King of the Monsters walked the Earth once more.
