Chapter 7: Back to School
DREAM
Lincoln, in his Elite Officer uniform, was currently in an undisclosed location. In front of him was a group of Grunts circled around a 14 year old boy. The boy was curled up in a ball on the ground, while the Grunts beat him. Lincoln had a neutral expression as he looked down at the beaten and injured boy. As the Grunts beat and insulted him, the boy looked up at him. Tears in his eyes, as he silently pleaded for help. At that moment, the boy changed to his younger self. Lincoln's expression suddenly changed to that fury. He orders the Grunts to stop and move away. They looked confused, but did what they were ordered. The boy smiled, thinking he was being shown mercy. However that smile vanished when Lincoln sent out an Electabuzz and Lucario. He then ordered them to use Thunder Punch on the boy. The boy started letting out loud cries of pain, while Lincoln just glared and sneered at the boy. The Grunts all took a few steps back and looked at their current leader with fear.
DREAM END
Lincoln was awoken from his sleep by his sisters preparing for the day. As he sat on the edge of his bed, he let out a groan of frustration at remembering what today was. It was the first day of school, and he wasn't looking forward to it. He had not changed since his appointment with Dr. Lopez. If anything, he got worse. He held himself up in his room for the remaining days of summer. He only left it to use the bathroom, feed his Pokemon, and to come to meals. It's not like he could leave the house if he wanted to, he was still grounded along with his older sisters. However he refused to do anything with any of his sisters around the house. Ronnie Anne and Clyde did show up to hangout with him, but he refused to see them. The only one he was doing anything with was Mawile.
He got out of bed and put on some clothes to go wait for the shower. Once he stepped out of his room, he was greeted by his sisters. They gave him hugs and kisses, but he showed no reaction. They all talked about the upcoming school year. Lori normally would've been off to college, but she postponed it because her brother was still missing at the time.
Lincoln showered and was now ready for school. He was currently wearing a white T-shirt with an orange vest and blue jeans. He started to go to the basement to feed his Pokemon. Like before, Lana had joined him in this task. As he watches Lana feed them and they act friendly with her, he considers giving them to her. They still didn't like him and preferred her over him. They wouldn't hurt her, in fact they loved her. He shook those thoughts away, he needed to focus on how to handle school.
After they were done eating he recalled all of them to their pokeball, including Crobat and Mawile. Lana went to get her stuff for school, while he grabbed his backpack and started walking to school. He didn't want to get a ride to school. He was already frustrated and didn't want to snap at any of his sisters. He told Lana to tell the others that he was walking.
As he walked he became more stressed and nervous. He hasn't been inside a classroom for 2 years. His biggest concern was him hallucinating at school. He still saw his younger self in his reflections, but he didn't need to see his schoolmates as angry trainers. So he was trying to do everything he could to calm himself before reaching the school. When he made it to the building, everything looked normal. Kids were gathering in groups and telling each other about their summer. Some looked depressed at having to return to school. While some were happy and excited to be back. He ignored them and started to walk inside. He thought he heard someone calling his name, but ignored it. He never saw the confused looks on Rusty's, Liam's, and Zach's faces. Or the worried looks on Clyde's and Ronnie Anne's faces.
[Lunchtime]
Lincoln was on his way to eat his lunch outside away from everyone. The first half of his school day wasn't the best. He was put in the classroom of a man named Mr. Bolhofner. He was strict, had a short temper, and his classroom was hot. The worst thing was that he used to be in the military and treated his students like soldiers or recruits. He had to fight his urge to scream or fight with the teacher. Needless to say, he was stressed out and wanted to get away from everyone. Unfortunately, fate had different plans for him.
"Hey Larry!" A voice called out to him. He stopped and flinched, but didn't turn to the voice. It was his old classmate and partial bully, Chandler McCann. He was wearing a green long sleeve shirt with white sleeves, which has a print of a blue gear, black pants with a black belt, and white sneakers with green stripes. On both his sides were his 2 goons. One was tall and overweight with dark blonde hair, wearing a yellow t-shirt with a light cyan circle, a green short-sleeved shirt, brown shorts, and brown sandals. The other was shorter and thin with a shaved around the head with a black faux hawk and a thick black unibrow, he was wearing a red hoodie, blue jeans, and white shoes with green stripes. Lincoln never knew their names, and he didn't care.
"Where have you been Larry?" Chandler asked condescendingly. Lincoln wasn't in the mood and didn't want to get in trouble, so he attempted to walk away. "I was talking to you Larry!" The auburn hair boy shouted, getting annoyed by his attitude. Lincoln continued to walk away. Unfortunately, this shouting had started to get other students' attention, including Lincoln's old friends with another girl. The girl was tall, tan skin, and black hair that curls up in the back. This was Stella Zhau, she made friends with Clyde and the others during the year Lincoln was gone.
"Hey! Chandler is talking to you, loser!" The larger boy said, grabbing one of his shoulders. The second he did, Lincoln immediately turned around and hit the boy in the genitals. As the boy bent over in pain, the white hair boy then grabbed him by the head. Lincoln then started to repeatedly slam the boy's face against a nearby wall. When he stopped, the boy's nose was broken and face was covered in blood. Lincoln let go of the boy and dropped him, then turned to look at the other two.
Chandler and the other kid flinched back at seeing Lincoln's face. Instead of having an angered or annoyed expression, he had a wide vicious smile. Lincoln didn't see Chandler and his lackey anymore, he saw Rocket Grunts. At this point, many students had come to see what was happening and were recording. Lincoln then grabbed the shorter kid by the shirt and started punching him in the face. Once the kid's nose started bleeding, he then threw him against the wall face first. The boy hit the wall and fell beside his injured friend.
The second Chandler saw the Loud boy look at him, he turned and started to run. Lincoln saw this and tackled him to the ground. Chandler was about to plead to the boy, only to get punched in the face. Lincoln was on top of his former bully and constantly punching him, the smile never leaving his face. This went on a few seconds before someone attempted to stop him. It was his sister Lynn, doing her rounds as Hall Monitor. Unfortunately she wasn't strong enough to stop him. It wasn't until someone got some teachers and they helped the Loud girl. When they got him off, Chandler was in bad shape. He had 2 black eyes, busted lips, bloody nose, and a swollen bruised face.
A teacher dragged the Loud boy away, while other teachers checked on the 3 injured boys. All the students that saw everything were stunned and started to share pictures and videos online. While Lynn, Clyde, and Ronnie Anne looked in the direction Lincoln was taken worryingly.
[After School]
Rita and Lynn Sr. were currently at a loss of what to do. They got a call from the Middle School telling them what happened with their only son. Both had to leave work and go there to talk with Principal Ramirez. They weren't happy to hear Lincoln had injured 3 students and was now suspended for a month for this. They apologized and took an unhappy Lincoln back home and extended his grounding an additional month. After getting back home, he shut himself inside his room without saying anything. When their other children made it home, they got more bad news. Turns out videos of what happened was trending on social media and everyone knew what happened. They told their children to leave their brother alone and to do their own things.
"What are we going to do Lynn?" Rita asked in a tired voice.
"I don't know," he replied, massaging his forehead. "If it was a simple scuffle, we could manage. But those three boys needed to go to the hospital. Lisa might know someone who could help us with any legal issue, but Lincoln is our biggest concern."
"He's suspended for a month, so that buys us some time," the Loud matriarch added.
"Do you think your father might be able to help?" The patriarch suggested. "He and Lincoln were always close, maybe he can help us with Lincoln."
"At this point, we need to try anything," she said with a sigh. "You go and talk with Lisa, I will make a call to the retirement home." With that said, both parents went to do their tasks.
