It's been long but is the new chapter. Feel free to point out any story errors.
Since, his failed escape, he made 2 more attempts. Zuzu caught him and reported to his mother who was quick to catch him. On the other attempt, he was close to the Outlands when he was tackled by Sarabi who was assisting Mufasa. These 2 times, he did inform Sarafina who begged him to not leave. But she kept to herself and let him try to leave. Uru continued to treat him unfairly. Ahadi seemed impressed with him. But made no attempts to be a better father. And Taka felt it was bad to say his dad improved, simply by not yelling or glaring at him anymore. Currently Taka laid on Priderock. He was looking at the Pridelands before him. Taka chuckled. Spike would probably have eaten nearly the whole place if he was here. His only comfort was Sarafina.
"Already planning another escape"?
He turned to see Mufasa and Sarabi.
He growled. "I could be out there, right now. But thanks to you two, I'm still here. Why did you try to foil my plans. You wouldn't need to deal with me anymore if you simply did.
"Mom said I'm to foil any plans you have of escaping".
Taka growled. "Thanks for being a bother as always".
Sarabi snorted. "You should be grateful; you wouldn't survive a single day out there".
Taka huffed. "I did the first time".
Mufasa did seem curious about something. "How did you survive out there"?
Taka smirked. "I'll admit it was tough, but I had my friends with me".
Sarabi snorted. "What friends"?
"They were unusual and one of them had an ego as big as Mufasa and meaner than you. Except that she actually was decent".
Sarabi smirked. "Was she your girlfriend"?
Taka nearly gagged. "Don't. Speak. Like. That. Anyway, we made it through obstacles. 'Sigh'. I won't see them again".
"They ditch you"?
Taka glared at his brother. "They actually like me and I like them. They are company I actually enjoy, unlike you".
Sarabi sneered. "Well, get used to it. You're here to stay wither you like it or not".
Mufasa and Sarabi left him by himself.
"You miss your friends, considering they are actually worlds away, I would think so". Taka turned to see 2 mandrils. Neither looked like Rafiki. One was male and the other female.
Taka backed away. "What do you mean".
The male spoke "It's obvious is it not. You would rather be back in the other world with the dinosaurs".
"How do you know about that".
The female mandrill spoke. "Let's simply say that we met those dinosaurs you called friends in this world".
Taka backed away. "You knew them, how old are you"?
The male smiled. "We took a different form back then, to blend in".
Te female nodded. "We're not from the supernatural, like your crow friend. But like him, we are unable to tell the future. We know the crow though. He's a friend, who informed us about your little adventure".
"Look, the Crow might be bound by restrictions, but we're not. We can take you back".
Taka's jaw looked like it would fall off. "Why would you do that for me".
"We don't approve of what the Crow did. It can be risky. But it's already happened. Besides, you made the choice to stay when asked. It doesn't seem right to keep you trapped here after you made your choice. Would you like to go back".
Taka couldn't believe it. He can go back to his friends. He needed to do something.
"Can I do one thing before I leave"?
They nodded. He went to find Sarafina. He found her playing with Mufasa and Sarabi. Thankfully, they were unaware that Taka told them. Seeing him, Mufasa and Sarabi left, not wanting to deal with him.
"Hey Sarafina, can we talk".
She nodded.
"I'm going for it again".
"I was thinking about this. I want to come too".
Taka sighed. "We've been over this already. You got a life here, unlike me".
She frowned. "You're my best friend".
"And you are mine. But I'm not worth giving up everything for".
"Come on Taka, please".
"The answer is no, end of discussion".
Taka turned his back, but Sarafina was now in his way. "You won't stay for me; you won't let me come with you".
Taka sighed. "I'm sorry Sarafina, but this is how it has to be".
"I'm not letting you go anywhere without me".
Taka was now losing his patience. "Move".
She glared. "I won't".
Taka knew he'd need to take her down himself. He leaped at her, but Sarafina was stronger and pinned him with ease. He tried to get up, but Sarafina wouldn't let him.
"Now, back to where we were. I don't know where you plan to go, but you won't go without me".
"Sarafina, your being selfish. You'll be missed. The only thing that Mom and Mufasa will be upset about is me escaping them again".
Sarafina knew she wouldn't win, so she simply got off him and let him up. "I hope you will be happy, wherever you go".
Taka watched sadly as she went back to Priderock.
"That was a disaster". He sighed. "I'm sorry Sarafina".
He made his way back to the mandrills.
"Are you ready"?
He nodded.
When Sarafina made her way back to Priderock, she found Uru waiting for her. "Where is Taka? I heard he was with you".
"He told me he was going for a drink. It shouldn't take him to long to come back".
Uru nodded. Pleased with the answer.
As for the mandrills, they were telling Taka to simply do what he did before. He covered his eyes and that was all he needed to do.
The male said one final sentence. "If our alternatives selves are like us, then you will recognise them as".
The female coughed.
He got the hint. "Well, that would be telling wouldn't it".
Author's Note
If you seen your Lbt movies, then you can probably figure out who the mandrills are.
