Welcome all to another chapter of Game Jumpers! Last chapter, the heroes braved the dangers of Forever Forest, eventually making it to Boo Mansion, a manor that housed both their mysterious benefactor as well as their missing friend, Austin. After bringing him up to speed, Austin fully joined the party, finally uniting the group together. Then, Bootler and Austin inform the group that the Mansion's owner is testing them by figuring out how to reach her. With their goal set and their party reunited, the team enters the Mansion in search of the path leading to their potential ally. Will they reach her and pass her test, or will she deem them unworthy and exile them from the mansion?

(Sorry for the late chapter. Last week didn't work out as I got swamped with work and life. Enjoy!)

Chapter 12: A Royal Encounter!

Boo Mansion

The group stepped into the foyer, amazed at its size and look. Austin just gave everyone a snicker.

"Oh wow! What a magnificent mansion! Being haunted must hurt the real estate value, though... I like the old-fashioned yet eerie style. The chandelier and the display case look like they're valuable antiques. Even the sofa in the foyer looks like it's pricey, even though it's a bit worn. I love antiques. I wouldn't mind taking a good look at these things,"

"Bow's gonna love you for that comment. She's nuts about antiques. She and Venom almost fought over his bow when we first met because she wanted it," Austin told the group. Venom, who was the leading partner, had just crossed his arms.

"While I appreciate her noticing my craftsmanship, it's not for sale..." He grumbled. Mario raised a hand, thanking Austin for putting in a good word for them earlier and Venom for not assaulting her. Austin gave him a thumbs up while Venom snorted and flew to Austin's shoulder.

"No problem, Mario! Now, remember. I'm not allowed to tell you guys where to go, but I'll help out normally, so feel free to use my abilities to your beck and call,"

"...Oh right, I forgot to do this earlier..." Goombario said, taking a good look at Austin.

"Do what?"

"Alright. This is Austin, one of the heroes' missing friends. We found him at Boo Mansion, apparently living like a king! Max HP: 15, Attack Power: 2, Defense Power: 0. Austin has a few tricks up his sleeve! Most, if not all, of Austin's abilities will pierce defense, which makes him a godsend against anything heavily armored! He's also very elusive and is the only member on our team with the ability to dodge attacks! Being so elusive focused makes his general defense terrible. If he mistimes a dodge, he'll just make the hit hurt more. He also doesn't get as much HP from level-ups and can only use his team, the Talons, as partners during battle!" Goombario Tattled.

"Hmm... And what about us?" Venom asked as Austin sweatdropped from the bad defensive comment as Goombario went on about Venom and his team next.

"Ok! This is Venom, the leader of the Talons and part of the reason for Austin's abilities. Venom's a crack shot with his bow, so he will do double damage to anything flying should Snipe hit. He can also mark foes as a priority target and make them take more damage from his team. He can even watch over Austin and shoot anyone who gets the idea of hitting him! Also, he has poison, which is obvious from his name and since he's a bird, he can fly, which makes ground attack null and void to him! Uh... however, that injury on his wing makes it so he'll be down for an extra turn should he take a hit. He's a bit of a jerk to anyone he deems not worth his time, but should you prove yourself to him, he's actually pretty friendly. Wonder how I stack in his eyes... or well, eye? Also, I wonder how he got those cool scars. Would I look good with one?" Goombario Tattled.

"You were doing fine until that snide comment..."

"Sorry, couldn't help myself. Would you like me to Tattle on the others?"

"Later. We should start making our way to Lady Bow," Venom told him. Goombario nodded before Mario and the gang started looking around the foyer. Kimani looked at the couch and decided to take a seat. He ended up sitting on the miscolored spot. Once he did, the couch sprung up and launched him high into the air with a yelp. Before he started falling, he grabbed the nearby chandelier, causing the whole thing to lower. Mario noticed a nearby gallery slid over, revealing a hidden door. Once Kimani detached himself from the chandelier, it went back to normal. Jordan went to the rightmost door along with Goombario and tried to open it, only to be Spooked by an enlarged Boo appearing from the door. Kimani, who was a decent distance away, also got scared pretty severely. Austin just laughed.

"Nice going, Casper!" He yelled over.

"Hah! Thanks, Auzz!" The Boo named Casper shouted back before he disappeared.

"I hate this place already..." Jordan said, clutching Goombario's white body in one hand while his other hand rested on his heart. Kimani almost strangled Austin, but Mario calmed him down as they went into the room. It was basically a storage room. Goombario shook off the scare and leaped out of Jordan's arms, looking around.

"This room does have a lot of space, but it's still a shame to use it for storage. That pot and those wooden boxes look suspicious... There's also a weakened spot on the floor. Look... under the chandelier. Hey, check it out! A real old rocking chair! These things rule! It rocks back and forth when you sit on it. I love napping in these," Goombario rambled.

"You got an old soul, huh?" Bombette asked. Goombario just sheepishly laughed as Kooper walked over to the vase. He peeked inside, falling into it afterward. Firebrand slithered over to help him out. When they both exited the vase, they were 8-bit versions of themselves.

"Well... this is new," Firebrand muttered. Kooper just squawked something in his native tongue. The others sweatdropped as Mario went up to the weak spot on the ground and tried jumping on it repeatedly, but it didn't budge. Mario put a finger to his chin in thought before he shrugged and ushered his team out the door, seeing Kooper and Firebrand turn back to normal.

"Guh... that was unpleasant..." Kooper said, shaking himself. Mario snorted before they went upstairs, noting two doors and a painting that lacked the painting portion of it. It whispered to the group to find what was missing, to which Kimani bluntly answered with the painting portion. Venom whacked him in the head with his wing before they checked out the nearest room.

"Wow! What a gorgeous chandelier! If they actually cleaned it, it would brighten this place up!" Goombario exclaimed. Kimani walked up to the dark-colored wardrobe and poked it. Apparently, it took offense to that and almost fell on him, but Jordan dashed forward with speeds that contrasted his size and kept it at bay with his shield.

"Can you stop pissing things off?" Jordan asked.

"I literally just touched it!" Kimani fought back.

"Not cool, Sheet. No hurting my friends, please?" Austin called out. A Boo materialized from behind the wardrobe.

"Oh... Sorry, Auzz... Thought he would be fast enough to dodge like you..." He sheepishly said.

"No problem, bro. I'll be down to play Specter Deflector later, OK?"

"Sure thing! Sorry, little man. You should join us!"

"I'll think about it..." Kimani muttered through gritted teeth before the Boo disappeared, allowing Jordan to place it back. He gave Kimani a sheepish grin, which was answered by a violent toe stomp. As Jordan hopped in the background, Kimani checked out the lighter one, causing a plethora of Boos to fly out, causing Kimani to screech bloody murder.

"Mariooooooo... and friends... Oh, Hi Austin!" The one Boo said as the other ones floated around the group. He quickly broke his facade and waved to Austin, who waved back. He got back into it seconds later.

"If you want this record, you must guess who holds it! You're not allowed to help, Austin! Lady Bow's orders!"

"I'm already aware. Sorry, guys," Austin answered, scooting to the side with Venom. Mario nodded, understanding.

"Lady Bow will be very angry if we let them get it too easily, fellas! Do your best, like we practiced! And a 5, 6, 7, 8!" The Boo told the others, counting off before they broke off into a vigorous dance of some sort. The Boos performed various tricks, spins, and maneuvers while passing the record around. After their grand finale, Austin clapped while Venom just gave them an approved nod as the Boo that talked to them beforehand floated back into the middle.

"Hey, hey, Boos and Boos! Who's got it? Choose, Choose!" The Boo told them as he got in line with the others. Mario looked back at his team. Kimani was still frozen at the wardrobe, so he was useless, while Dylan was just excitedly giggling and clapping along with Austin, so he was out as well. Jordan mentioned after the triple axle backflips, he blanked out. Firebrand was busy watching over Kimani while Typhoon sneezed at an inopportune time. Kooper had it until two moves leading to the very end, while Goombario's hat got in his eyes midway through the second half. Bombette just bluntly mentioned that she wasn't paying attention while Parakarry was speaking with a Boo in the corner, handing him a letter and getting one back. Mario's face fell a bit, but he shook his head, amused at his party's antics. Luckily, he was paying attention and tapped the Boo to the right of him. An exclamation point popped over his head.

"Oh... Nice guess..." He said, giving Mario the record. Mario thanked him for both the performance and the record, causing him to smile and wave before they disappeared. Austin removed himself from the wall afterward.

"Nice going, Mar. I was wondering what Los and the boys were practicing," He said. Mario nodded, leading his team out after whistling and snapping them all to attention. They left the room and went into the room next door. In here, they saw another room mainly used for storage, but two things caught their attention. First thing was the record player on the left side of the room. The next thing was the Boo blocking the chest over on the right.

"Oh... Hi, Auzz... I'm so bored! Boo-ored!" He dramatically said. Kimani had hid behind Jordan while Dylan asked if they could open the chest. He refused, however, mentioning that Lady Bow had told him to keep anyone from opening it. Mario looked at the record in his hand, then at the player before he looked back at the Boo and put everything together. He walked over to the player and put the record on before he started turning the crank. It took him a bit to get the right tempo, but once he did, the Boo started to get down, dancing closer to the record player. Much to Kimani's chagrin, Dylan joined him before Jordan opened the chest, getting a weight from it. He flashed Mario a thumbs up, who returned it, stopping the music.

"Huh?... Oh man... Lady Bow is going to be so mad with me..."

"Don't worry, Ecto. I'll say something stole it before you got here, should Bow ask," Austin told him.

"Oh, phew... Thanks!"

"A weight? What do we do with this?" Kooper asked. Goombario thought about it for a moment before a lightbulb popped over his head.

"Oh, I know! Follow me!" He said as he ran out the door. The party shared looks before they followed him back to the foyer. Goombario gave Kimani the weight before he tripped him and had him fall back onto the couch, which launched him back into the chandelier.

"So before I shout slurs at you, you wanna explain yourself!?" Kimani yelled from above as the chandelier started coming down.

"Put the weight on the end of the chandelier!"

"...And you didn't ask me why?!"

"I was feeling spunky!" He shouted back. Kimani rolled his eyes as he placed the weight on the chandelier, keeping it lowered, which in turn allowed them to get to the hidden door. The group went over to the door and walked into a relatively small room where a lone chest sat below a chandelier. Dylan skipped over to open it for everyone. As soon as he touched the chest, Austin, Kimani, and Jordan saw the chandelier shake for a moment before it darted towards Dylan. Seeing that caused the three of them to activate their weapons and dart forward before they collectively assaulted it before it could bonk him in the head. Mario and the others blankly stared at the three teens standing in a triangle, with Dylan happily standing in the middle, looking through the chest. A question mark appeared over his head before he popped back out, seemingly not noticing the chain hanging above his head nor the broken and shattered chandelier in the corner of the room.

"Guys... it's empty... Did something happen?" Dylan dejectedly said, asking that second question when he noticed the three of them around him with their weapons active. They shared looks before they disbanded their weapons.

"No. Kimani saw a ghost and yelled, which set us off," Austin lied. Kimani shot him a nasty glare while Dylan just giggled. Mario snorted before he looked to the left and saw some stairs leading down to the basement. There wasn't much down here. Just a few boxes, an old clock, and a door. They went through the door and entered a room that had a couple of boxes.

"A storage room... isn't it? You'd think those candles would provide a bit more light," Goombario deadpanned.

"Maybe because of some ghostly interference or something?" Parakarry guessed.

"Karry, you gotta lay off the scary movies," Bombette heckled.

"Maybe... also, how'd you know my actual name?"

"Your name is actually Karry? I thought it was Parakarry,"

"Nope. That's just what everyone calls me since I'm a Paratroopa,"

"Better than Sheldon..." Kooper moaned from the back of the party.

"Pfft, Sheldon?" Kimani snickered.

"What was that, Pint?"

"Wanna die!?" Kimani roared. Mario clapped his hands, stopping the conversations/arguments before he pointed at the other door.

"Is it OK for us to just walk through the Mansion like this?" Firebrand asked, appearing and resting around Kimani's neck and shoulders.

"Yep. Lady Bow permitted us to roam around. Part of the test and whatnot," Venom said from Austin's shoulder.

"You've been calling her Lady Bow a lot, which is strange coming from you,"

"Lady pays well, and she has an eye for quality, so I'm fine working for her,"

"You're getting paid? Pint, start paying me!" Firebrand yelled. Kimani snorted, as did Mario, as he went through the door with the others following. As soon as the last member went through the door, it shut and disappeared.

"Fight room?" Kooper asked.

"Shouldn't be. All of the Boos here are friendly, so unless she told them something else, we shouldn't have to fight anyone here," Austin said. Mario noticed the big chest in the back, which got him a bit excited. He brought it to the other's attention before they walked over and cracked it open, causing a plethora of Boos to fly out. Kimani was able to shield himself from the jumpscare this time, but everyone else yelled in surprise.

"Jesus, Inky! A warning next time?!" Austin yelped. Inky laughed at him.

"Nope! That's against a Boo's code, Auzz! Hit it, Boys! Don't let them guess where these items are!" Inky exclaimed as they started dancing. Just then, Mario noticed they were passing a pair of boots and Element Shards around. Dylan noticed that it was roughly the same routine as before, with a few altercations here and there, so he quickly Copycatted a Boo and disappeared into the group. Mario and the gang tried their hardest to pay attention this time, but since there were more items to track as well as the changes here and there, no one was able to keep up this time, sans Austin and Venom. Once they were done, Inky floated back up to Mario.

"Hey, hey, Boos and Boos! Who's got it? Choose, choose!" He asked. Mario sweatdropped. He snuck a glance at the others and saw Kimani, Spooked and lost, while Jordan had swirls in his eyes. The partners were utterly lost as well. Mario was getting ready to admit defeat when a Boo floated beside Austin with the items in his hands.

"Hey guys! Look what I got!" He excitedly yelled. Everyone instantly realized it was Dylan, only Copycatting a Boo. Inky looked at the others before going back to Dylan.

"W-what!? How'd you guys let him sneak in like that!?"

"We didn't know! Plus, he knew the choreography!" One of the Boos answered. Austin chuckled as he went to pat Dylan on the back, but his hand went through him.

"Nice job, Dylan! That was pretty sneaky, Bro," He praised.

"Thanks! But I wasn't trying to be sneaky. I just wanted to join their dance!" He truthfully said. Everyone sweatdropped.

"...Well, I guess all fair in love and war... The boots and shards are yours to keep," Inky said as the others disappeared as well. Mario walked over, getting the boots from Dylan before he looked at his. Before he could even think about putting them on, the Super Boots glowed as Goombario told him before they turned into sparkles. They quickly surrounded his current boots before they shone brightly. After it died down, Mario peeked at his boots, seeing them with a bit more shine to them.

"Mario's Boots have upgraded to the Super Boots! The attack power of Mario's jump attacks has increased! He can also perform a Spin Jump, allowing him to flip hidden panels! He can even break weak floors, but he'll need Jordan's help to do so!"

"Thanks, Dylan," Goombario thanked. Dylan nodded before he gave everyone their shards. They smashed it against their chest afterward, causing Firebrand, Typhoon, Alpha (and Dylan by association), and Venom (Along with Ebony and Ivory) to get a boost in power.

"Oh, right. Before I forget. This is Dylan. Currently, he's copying a Boo. Being a ghost, Dylan can now float around freely and turn invisible, making him immune to many attacks. He can even scare enemies, spooking them and lowering their attack as a result!... Since Dylan is a ghost... does that mean he technically killed himself? Kind of a dark thought if so..." Goombario tattled. After that, Dylan immediately dropped the form, while Kimani scolded Goombario for scaring Dylan. Meanwhile, Mario looked at the wooden floor cover and walked over. He jumped and did a flip before he crashed down hard on the section. It didn't break, as he expected. He did make a panel to the left next to a Boo flip up, revealing a Star Piece. Kimani inched over, snatching the piece before running back to the group, earning a weird look from the Boo.

"Well, guess we're teaming up, Mario. Ready when you are," Jordan said. Mario nodded before Jordan stood on top of the wooden spot and brought his shield out, raising it over his head. Mario leaped on top of the shield before Jordan threw him into the air. At the peak of his jump, Mario flipped before he came barreling down just as Jordan jumped, causing their combined weight to crash through the wooden floor and land on an even deeper floor. The others jumped down, landing next to the two as they were shaking off the shock of the landing.

"Brrrr... That's going to get getting some used to, but not bad for our first time," Jordan muttered. Mario flashed a thumbs-up before walking around the dusty furniture and hitting a switch with his hammer, causing an enormous switch to crash in front of him. Mario sweatdropped before he and Jordan clambered to the top and, using their move again, hit it and made a set of stairs appear. They noticed a shop in the corner of the room, but the Boo bluntly stated that he wasn't allowed to sell Mario or his party any items at the moment. Mario pouted but nodded in understatement as they clambered up the stairs afterward. Mario assaulted a few more boxes, earning both a Super Shroom as well as another hidden Star Piece from a floor panel. Mario and the gang went back out, finding another Star Piece in front of the couch.

"Since you seem to be on a killing spree to anything box-shaped, should we head back to the room with the vase? There was a weak spot in the floor there as well," Firebrand suggested. Mario nodded before they headed upstairs, entering the room in question. Mario went around, destroying boxes and earning an Apple for his troubles before he and Jordan crashed through the floor panel, ending on top of a large bookcase. Parakarry spotted a portrait on the right bookshelf, so he scooped up Austin, flew him over, and picked it up before hauling him back. Mario spotted a stack of boxes below, so he leaped off, crashing through the boxes and earning yet another Star Piece.

"A cracked wall? Allow me to change that!" Bombette exclaimed as she blew the wall up, opening a hole.

"I really hope Bow doesn't mind the home improvement changes..." Kimani deadpanned. Mario sweatdropped, not knowing the answer to that question personally. Mario remembered the picture on the second floor, so he started to make his way up the stairs again with most of his party in tow. The more sporadic members used the couch to launch themselves to the second floor, where they landed in a heap. Mario looked at the group, which consisted of Kimani, Dylan, Kooper, Firebrand, and Bombette, and snorted before they went back to the portrait. He held the missing portion up, allowing it to fly back into the frame.

"Phew... Ah, that feels better! it's nice to be back inside my frame after so long! Jump towards the drawing, and I'll take care of the rest,"

"Thanks... picture..." Kooper thanked. Everyone jumped into the frame, ending up on the third floor next to some giant double doors. Austin smirked and walked in front of the party.

"Heh. Way to go, guys. This door leads to Bow's Throne Room, so I'd say you passed with flying colors! Let's go inside so we can meet the lady of the hour!" Austin explained.

"That wasn't so hard... We don't have to fight anyone, do we?" Jordan asked.

"Nope! Come on! I'll introduce you guys to her!"

"Say hello to my daughter for me," The painting asked.

"Daughter?" Bombette asked.

"Booington Shivers, at your service, milady,"

"Nice to meet you, sir!" Dylan exclaimed. Everyone then turned to the doors before Austin opened them, leading them inside. Once everyone was in, Venom flew off Austin's shoulder.

"Lady Bow. Allow me to present the rest of our guests," Venom announced, landing and bowing. Kimani, Jordan, Typhoon, and Firebrand gained a question mark over his head as Ebony and Ivory also popped out, and a loud laugh rang out. Kimani instantly got Spooked as a teal Boo with red bows on the side of her head floated down. On her side was Bootler.

"You've finally arrived! You took your sweet time, huh?" She started, floating down the stairs with Bootler following.

"Well, you didn't make it obvious for us. We had to work through some hurdles," Jordan answered. Bow chuckled.

"I was testing you to see if you live up to your reputation. How were the tests? Tough?"

"Manageable. The Boo fight at the gate was rather rude..."

"Mmm. I did tell them not to rough you up so bad,"

"They didn't. Don't worry. Now... I know Auzz gave us the run down, but who are we addressing?" Kimani asked, peeking from behind Jordan slightly. Bow smiled before she pulled out her fan and uttered a regal laugh.

"A valid question, scared one. Austin and Venom may have introduced me as Lady Bow, but you're in the presence of Bowletta Belladonna Shivers The III, Princess of all Boos. But you may address me as either Lady Bow or Bow,"

"And I'm Booregard Wolfgang Arpeggio Tombstone the XII, Family Butler and Guardian of the Shivers family. You may address me as Bootler, however," Bootler followed up.

"The Twelfth?!"

"My family doesn't have long life expectancies..."

"But you're a gh-"

"Anyway!," Bow interrupted, giving both Bootler and Kimani a slight glare, "The reason I asked you here is that I need a favor,"

"Whatever it is, you have our support! It's the least we can do as thanks for taking care of our bro!" Dylan exclaimed, pulling Austin into a hug. Austin just let out an amused chuckle. Bow warmly smiled at him.

"I'm glad to hear that, as this is no easy task. I need your help in taking down Tubba Blubba. That cantankerous oaf has been eating my subjects for too long. I want you to find out his secret and defeat him,"

"Secret? What do you mean, Ms. Bow?" Dylan politely asked once more. Bow couldn't help but give him another warm look.

"...I'm sorry. Austin, you were right. It's impossible not to find him adorable," Bow started, floating down and pinching Dylan's cheek.

"See? His charm is untouchable," Austin co-signed.

"But, to remind you, Master Dylan. You are to address her as Lady Bow or just Bow," Bootler reminded.

"No, no... Dylan can call me Ms. Bow if he prefers," Bow told him as she floated back beside Bootler. Everyone gave Dylan dubious looks, which he giggled at before she continued.

"His secret is his invincibility, so to speak. From what my scouts told me, any means to harm him is met with failure and a first-class seat to his stomach. He harbors a secret, however, that ties to his invincibility. Find that, and defeating him should be a cinch,"

"Hence why she needs us. I may have already given her the rundown of our talents," Austin followed up.

"Alright. But uh, a question for you, Bow. Have your scouts heard anything about the Star Spirits?" Kimani asked, no longer Spooked and actually standing next to Dylan.

"Ah. About that. We already found him," She answered, snapping her fingers and making a cage appear from above. Inside was the card holding one of the Star Spirits. Mario rapidly waved his arms and questioned why he was in a cage.

"Reassurance. Mario, I'm well aware of your heroics, but I wasn't sure about your posse, and I need Tubba Blubba defeated if my empire is to survive,"

"So you're basically forcing us to help you in exchange for what we're looking for... I respect it," Venom put together. Everyone else, with the exception of Bow and Bootler, sweatdropped.

"I'm not entirely heartless, however. I shall be going with you. I'll help you like no one else can,"

"... My Lady? What did you say just now? You? At Tubba Blubba's Castle? Quite out of the question! I simply cannot allow you to put yourself in such danger!" Bootler exclaimed, floating in front of Bow.

"Still your tongue, Bootler! I've seen too much suffering caused by Tubba Blubba. I wish to see him punished with my own two eyes,"

"Now, daughter. Don't be too harsh on Booregard. He's simply doing his sworn duty. I won't stop you from going out, but you must be accompanied by him at all times. Am I clear?" Bow's father said from outside the door. Bow made a face for a moment before it softened.

"Mmmm... Well... I can't say no to Daddy Dearest... and I suppose my response was a bit rigid... My apologies, Bootler. I would love to have your company,"

"So you wished, so shall it be, My Lady," Bootler said, bowing.

"So, Mario. Others. Do we have a deal?" Bow said, floating a bit away so they had time to speak. Everyone looked at Mario as a result. Mario shrugged in return. There wasn't much to discuss. Bow quite literally held the cards or well, card in her favor. Even if she weren't holding it over their heads... literally, Mario would still help her out. Add the fact that she had watched over Austin after they got separated and Mario was more than happy to help out however she could. Mario then voiced his thought process and opinion on the matter out loud, causing Bow to smile.

"Then we've reached an agreement. As of this moment, House Shivers is at your beck and call, and I, as well as Bootler, will personally assist you in taking down Tubba Blubba!"

"Bow and Bootler have joined the party! These pair of specters can assist with a mix of offensive and defensive moves, depending on who's in front. When Bow leads, she can Slap her enemies into submission or pull a Party Leader Outta Sight, preventing them from being hit that turn! When Bootler leads, he can sock a foe with his Fisticuffs ability, which also raises his party leader's defense by one, or cleanse an ally or enemy of any status effects with Spring Cleaning! On the field, Bow and Bootler can make the entire party invisible, but they won't be able to move as a resort,"

"Now... as to who we'll be following. I feel safe in Dylan's care," Bow said, floating behind Dylan.

"Master Dylan, please allow me to assist you and Lady Bow to the best of my abilities," Bootler said. Dylan saluted before everyone regrouped around Mario.

"We have to travel around with Boos now? Be still my beating heart..." Kimani moaned.

"Are you afraid of Boos, small one?" Bow asked. A vein appeared on Kimani's head.

"I'm not small! I'm average height!... Anyway, yes..."

"Mmm. Well, I can't say the same for others, but I can promise you that me or Bootler won't scare you for sport, nor shall any Boo here in House Shivers. Should they do so on purpose, I'll have them exiled. As for any Boos outside of here, I shall give them a good Smack! Gwaheeheeheehee!," Bow promised. Kimani gave her a skeptical look but nodded, losing his Spooked status as a result.

"Kimani will no longer be Spooked when he's in House Shivers or Forever Forest!"

"Thank you, Dylan, yet again for your meta-commentary. Now... What now? Should we head back to Toad Town or go straight for Tubba Blubba?" Kimani asked.

"I'd say wait and take a break. We've been moving all day, and I think it's getting late," Jordan said. Bow looked at a nearby clock, seeing it hit nine.

"It's nine currently, so maybe this can wait until tomorrow. I have plenty of space here if you'd like to spend the night here," Bow told them.

"Nah, we have to get back to Luigi and Chainston anyway. Don't want them freaking out should we not show up tonight,"

"Luigi? Oh, I know him! I can send some of my Boos to escort him and... Chainston, was it?"

"Uh, that might do more harm than good. Luigi's more scared of Boos than I am." Kimani deadpanned.

"Nonsense. Bootler, please go and fetch Luigi and Chainston for us. They are to be treated just like Mario and the others,"

"As you wish, My Lady," Bootler said before he flew into the air, phasing through the skylight above.

"Parakarry, you should go with him so you can clear up any miscommunication... Also, do you have food here?" Austin asked, mentioning that last question to Bow.

"No, but I can have some of my subjects gather whatever is needed," She answered as Parakarry took off after Bootler.

"Alright... I guess we're crashing the night here..."

"Relax. I promise nothing will fall upon you. Now... Allow me to guide you to the guest room,"

15 Minutes Later

By now, the party had gotten acquainted with the complete layout of House Shivers and were sitting in the dining room, awaiting dinner. Luigi and Chainston had been brought to the house safely and were up to speed on everything. He had mentioned worrying about the safety of his home, so Bow assigned some guards to watch over the place for the night. Satisfied, he offered to make a grand feast for everyone in the house, including the Boos, who didn't need to eat but wanted to anyway. With the help of Luigi, Bootler, and a plethora of Boo's, Luigi and Bootler came out of the kitchen with loads of food for everyone in the Manor, ranging from Shroom Steaks, Salads, Boo-getti, Baked Potatoes, and so forth, and so forth. The gang plus the Boos ate to their heart's content and communicated with each other for roughly half an hour before they cleaned up the dining room and got ready for bed.

"I think I overate..." Kimani groaned from his bed; a visible bump was visible in his midsection.

"I'd bet. You ate more than Jordan!" Dylan exclaimed.

"I don't eat that much. My metabolism just sucks..." Jordan deadpanned.

"Sure... Keep telling yourself that," Austin instigated. This caused Jordan to spring up and leap from his bed to Austin's, who yelped and was flattened as a result. While the two of them wrestled, Mario sweatdropped before turning to his brother, who was much calmer than before. Chainston was by his bed's side, already asleep.

"These Boos aren't half bad, Bro. It was really nice of them to invite us over and let us stay the night!" Luigi exclaimed. Mario rapidly nodded, raising a hand and asking about his phobia.

"Nah. Once Parakarry and Bootler explained everything, that was enough. That and Chainston's been a tremendous help in helping me face my fears,"

"Good. Brave is a good look on you. Also, if I were denied your cooking, I would have had a fit," Kimani added. Luigi and Mario chuckled.

"Welp, tomorrow we gotta tackle a supposedly invincible enemy tomorrow. Think we got what it takes?" Kooper asked, scribbling away in his notebook.

"We got it in the bag! Invincible just means no one has hit it hard enough!" Bombette exclaimed.

"Bombette, you're an absolute treat sometimes... But she has a point. Maybe the Boos just haven't been hitting him in the right spot, is all. So, it's up to us to find it!" Goombario snorted, bringing that point up afterward.

"Here here. We got it. We're awesome," Parakarry agreed, slowly dozing off afterward. Everyone, minus Jordan and Austin, who had fallen asleep mid-battle with half of Austin poking out from under Jordan, simply snorted before they went to bed themselves, dreaming of their potential battles tomorrow.

This extra damage doesn't happen if he doesn't attempt the command. Gains less HP on Level Ups. Also can only use Venom, Ebony or Ivory as Partners.

Stealth: (10 FP) Go invisible and avoid the attention of your foes! You can't be hit or targeted by anything for 2 turns! The command for it is rather difficult, however, and it won't work if you fail it at all. Attacking doesn't break the Stealth either! Style: Memory

Idle Stance: Ebony will look at her satchel before digging through it. She'll periodically throw out some junk or pull out an item, inspect it, and put it back after a while. If an input is pressed during this, she'll flinch and close her satchel before giving the camera an apologetic look.

Battle Stance: Ebony will stand with her dagger out, ready to strike at a moment's notice. Her hood will occasionally fall into her face, causing her to blow some air, making it go back to its usual spot.

Element Shard Upgrade: Ebony's attack pow goes up by 1!

Element Shard Upgrade: Ebony's healing abilities heal an additional 5 HP!

FP Moves:

Dagger Twirl: Ebony performs a swift dagger strike that hits twice. Pow: 2 (3) per hit. Pierces defense. Can't hit Flying enemies. Style: Timing

She can do this for any leader, and she doesn't need to be behind the knocked-out leader to do so. Doesn't work if she fails the command. Style: Charge

Tag Out: Ebony swaps places with either Ivory or Venom. Ebony will wave before throwing down a smoke bomb from her satchel. If Ivory is selected, she'll flip out of the smoke cloud and pose. If Venom is picked, Venom will flap his wings strongly, blowing the cloud away before he starts flying.

Ivory:

Area of Expertise: Single Target Attacks, Item Stealing

Idle Stance: Ivory's ears twitch before she glances around quickly. Eventually, a butterfly will land on her head, making her stop and swat at it. Afterward, she'll try to pounce on it every time it lands on the ground, missing. If an input is detected, Ivory will stop and wave to the butterfly as it flies away.

Battle Stance: Ivory will energetically bounce on her feet and twirl her dagger. She'll start flourishing her dagger with some impressive maneuvers before she drops it. Embarrassed, she'll pick it up and go back to her default Battle Stance.

Field Ability: By spending 5 FP, Ivory can stalk a selected enemy, instantly taking the front enemy out if its health is less than 10. If not, she will deal 5 damage to the enemy once the battle starts. Taking an enemy out this way guarantees they'll drop an item.

Element Shard Upgrade: Ebony's attack pow goes up by 1!

FP Moves:

Pounce: Ivory performs an impressive leap with the help of some vines, striking a foe with her dagger upon reaching them. Pow: 3 (4) Can't hit Fiery enemies. Style: Aim
