First of all, I would like to say that I am Brazilian, but since most of the stories on this site are in English, I will try to do my best to write in that language as well. If you notice any grammatical errors, please forgive me, I'm doing the best I can. Hope you like it.

Robby continued to look at Tory as if he couldn't believe what was happening. How? Why? After everything Cobra Kai did, after everything that woman did to her... How could Tory ever be on their side again?

No. This wasn't Tory's fault. This was his fault. Robby was her boyfriend, damn it. He should have supported her more. Robby shouldn't have left her side for even a minute, but he did and now Tory is here. With Kreese, with Kim Da-Eun and with other Koreans he'd never seen in his life. Tory had only returned to Cobra Kai and joined the enemy because he failed her. Again.

"How did this happen?" - Miguel was the first to speak, breaking the silence.

"I have no idea." - That was all Robby replied.

Before anyone could say anything else, the voice of the organizer of Sekai Takai was heard announcing that they were going to start the captains' sash ceremony. With that, all the dojos lined up in rows with the captains of each dojo standing in front. Once everyone was in their proper places, the announcer explained that he would announce the name of the dojo, the name of its male captain and its female captain, and the Sensei in charge of the dojo would tie the headband of each of its captains.

Furia de Pantera.

This was the first dojo to be announced. They were from Spain, which meant they were home. Their captains were Maria and Diego. Because they were fighting at home, they were seen by everyone as a major threat.

Dojo Berlin.

West End Warriors.

Tiger Strike.

Hornet's Nest.

Falchi Della Notte.

Dublin Thunder.

Other dojos were announced along with the name of their captains, but none of them drew much attention.

Cobra Kai.

When Robby heard that name and saw John Kreese put the headband on Tory Nichols, he knew exactly why his ex-girlfriend was here. In Cobra Kai, she would be the captain. She would be the main fighter and would have a real chance to stand out. Maybe now that her mother was gone, that was all she had. Robby knew what being a champion meant to Tory and as much as it hurt to see her next to Kreese, deep down, very deep, he understood her. But now, he felt too betrayed and confused to admit it.

The other captain of Cobra Kai was called Kwon Jae-Sung. Robby had never seen him before, but he figured the Korean was one of Sensei Kim's students. No. He certainly was. After all, it was Kim Da-Eun who tied the captain's headband on his head.

He didn't know him, but just by the way he walked, it seemed like Kwon was the most arrogant guy in the world. You know what? Fuck him. That wasn't what pissed Robby off. What pissed the green-eyed boy off was the way Kwon leaned in to whisper something in Tory's ear and she laughed. His ex-girlfriend laughed. Who was this idiot and what was he telling her?

Hirobukan.

Robby's thoughts were interrupted by the announcement of yet another dojo. They were from Japan and that was all he could pay attention to.

Los Escorpiones Voladores.

Redentores.

Miyagi-Do.

Tory looked at Robby and at the same time, she felt her heart tighten. Her ex-boyfriend was gorgeous, as always. Damn. She couldn't think about Robby, much less how much she missed him. They were on opposite teams now. She couldn't keep thinking about him. No way.

So all Tory did was let out a sigh as she watched Sensei Lawrence tie the captain's sash around Robby's head while Daniel LaRusso did the same to Sam.

TempĂȘte de VipĂȘres.

Nyumba Ya Duma.

Iron Dragons.

Three more dojos were announced, but only the last dojo called caught anyone's attention. Iron Dragons was the dojo from China. Its captains were Axel Kovacevic and Zara Malik. For some reason, all the teams stopped to watch the two of them receive their captain's band. Axel was a guy with a lot of muscles and was extremely huge. Only a crazy person wouldn't be afraid to fight him on the street or anywhere else. Zara didn't seem that threatening, but when her name was announced, a good portion of the fighters pointed in her direction and whispered things among themselves. Apparently she was quite popular around here.

Polarslaget.

This was the last dojo announced and they were from Sweden. Or something like that.

Robby Keene really didn't care. All that occupied his thoughts now was the vision of Tory Nichols talking to that Korean idiot. God, he needed to talk to her. Robby needed to understand how this happened. One day, Tory was sending him a stupid text breaking up with him and now, just a few days later, she was here at Sekai Takai competing for Cobra Kai? No. This had an explanation. It had to. Thinking about it, Robby was ready to walk up to Tory and ask her what the hell happened, when the voice of the tournament organizer echoed through the hall:

"Are you guys ready?" - He asked and the audience cheered excitedly in response to the organizer. - "To start the tournament, today we will only have an opening match to demonstrate what is to come." - The organizer announced and all the participants stopped to pay attention. - "Therefore, we will only draw four teams for this match and the points added will be considered bonus points." - He continued and some fighters exchanged glances with each other. - "The rules are simple: The four dojos with their six fighters fight each other. If any of the captains falls, even if there are other fighters standing, the team is out of the match. The last team left with both captains standing will be the dojo that will score the most points." - The organizer finished the explanation and the fighters around nodded. - "So I'll ask again... Are you ready?" - He looked at the participants and this time the audience screamed even louder.

Then, the panel on the side lit up showing the names of the 16 teams that were to compete in Sekai Takai and a sort of automatic draw began, making the cursor quickly pass through the names of all the dojos. This lasted a few seconds, until it stopped at the last name on the table:

West End Warriors.

The draw continued and the next team to be drawn was the one with the giant guy and the popular girl.

Iron Dragons.

Everyone in attendance looked at each other to see who would be next. In truth, no one really wanted to face the Chinese dojo on the first day. The Iron Dragons captain, Axel Kovacevic, looked pretty damn threatening.

Hornet's Nest.

This was the Thai dojo and honestly they looked pretty normal, but this was the world championship. You couldn't rule anyone out.

Cobra Kai.

When the Korean team was announced, all the members of Miyagi Do exchanged worried glances with each other. Cobra Kai was going to fight. Tory was going to fight. What could they expect, anyway?

The girl Robby liked didn't seem that worried. Tory was excited to fight. That's exactly what she had come here for.

"Hey, American." - Kwon called, using the nickname he had given Tory. - "Are you ready to kick these losers' asses?" - He asked with that cocky smile of his.

"Don't be so arrogant, Kwon." - Kim Da-Eun scolded, looking at him. - "There will be 24 fighters on that mat at the same time." - She reminded him and Kwon scoffed. - "You need to be alert at all times." - Sensei Kim continued and he snorted.

"Sensei Kim is right." - Kreese interjected upon seeing Kwon's disrespect. - "You two are the captains." - He stated, looking from Tory to Kwon. - "If you fall, we lose the match." - Sensei Kreese stated, proving his point.

"I won't fall, Sensei." - Tory assured and Sensei Kreese smiled proudly at his favorite student.

"Don't worry, Sensei." - Kwon tied his belt around his waist and looked at John Kreese. - "I won't let anyone touch Nichols." - He promised and Tory rolled her eyes, not bothering to answer.

Kwon was such an idiot sometimes.

"As for the rest..." - Sensei Kim began, looking at the other Cobra Kai. - "Protect your captains." - She ordered and her students nodded. - "Don't let anyone take down Nichols or Kwon." - Kim Da-Eun finished with that look that said: "Sacrifice yourselves for them, if necessary."

"Yes, Sensei." - Yoon Do-Jin agreed, bowing his head in respect and was immediately followed by the other students.

With that, the four teams prepared to step onto the mat. Each of the dojos positioned themselves in a corner of the mat. Iron Dragons and West End Warriors were facing each other, while Cobra Kai was facing the dojo from Thailand, Hornet's Nest. Since the rules of the match were to protect the captain and not whoever got three points first like in All Valley, there was no need to have more than one referee. If a fighter went down, he was out. Besides, everyone was watching. There was no secret. The rules were clear.

So, the referee got on the mat and looked around at the 24 fighters present:

"On your marks." - He asked and all the fighters positioned themselves. - "Greetings." - The referee ordered and everyone bowed, but not exactly to anyone in particular. - "Ready?" - He asked and Tory nodded, more than ready to start fighting. - "And fight!" - The referee ordered and the fight immediately began.

Chung-Hee, Min-Seok and one of Sensei Kim's students started attacking the Hornet's Nest team. Yoon Do-Jin stayed right behind, mainly concerned with protecting his captains. But Kwon and Tory were not in the mood to be protected. They did not need protection. Then, Tory prepared to attack one of the girls from the Thai dojo, while Kwon dealt with a boy from Hornet's Nest. The fight continued for a minute, until only Tory, Kwon, Yoon, Chung-Hee and the two captains from Thailand were left standing. Chung-Hee tried to land a kick on the Thai captain, but ended up being tripped by the captain from Hornet's Nest and fell to the ground, leaving only Yoon, Tory, Kwon and the two captains from the Thai dojo.

"Let me handle this alone." - Yoon asked, quickly glancing at Kwon and Tory.

"No way!" - Kwon stepped in front of Yoon, getting into an attacking position.

"You won't have fun alone." - Tory warned, getting ready to attack too.

With Tory, Kwon and Yoon attacking at the same time, the Hornet's Nest captains didn't even last thirty seconds and soon Kwon managed to land a punch in the Thailand captain's stomach, leaving him completely breathless.

"Do the honors, captain." - Kwon whispered, smiling at Tory and she immediately jumped, landing a kick squarely on his chin.

When the Thailand captain hit the mat on his back, the first thing Tory did was look at Robby. The boy she liked was looking straight at her, but Tory couldn't read his expression. What was he thinking?

Unfortunately, it wasn't time to think about that yet, because the Iron Dragons team had just taken down the West End Warriors captains as well. The problem was that they didn't have any casualties. The six Iron Dragons fighters were still standing. Cobra Kai only had Kwon Jae-Sung, Tory Nichols and Yoon Do-Jin now. It was a fight of six fighters against three.

"It doesn't matter." - Tory shrugged, realizing their numerical disadvantage. - "We can handle it." - She stated confidently, exchanging glances with Kwon and Yoon.

"We don't need to take down the six of them." - Yoon analyzed, cleverly.

"We just need to..." - Tory was ready to complete Yoon's reasoning, when she saw what the Iron Dragons captains were doing.

Axel Kovacevic and Zara Malik were putting both hands behind their backs and letting the other fighters take the lead. Were these motherfuckers really looking down on Cobra Kai? Were they not going to fight? What the hell?

"What are they doing?" - Kwon raised his eyebrows, feeling confused.

"They think we're not worthy of fighting them." - Tory replied, furious.

Kwon was ready to answer Tory, when he saw the four Iron Dragons fighters going after them. There was no denying it. These fighters, despite not being the captains, were very good. Maybe even better than the captains of the Thai dojo they had just faced. Despite that, Kwon, Yoon and Tory managed to defeat the four fighters without any problems.

Seeing that the four fighters from their dojo were defeated and kneeling on the mat, Zara and Axel exchanged a look and took a step forward.

"Now you guys want to fight?" - Tory teased, still irritated by their disrespect.

Zara's response was to go after Tory at the same time that Axel went after Kwon and Yoon.

Axel was dealing with Kwon and Yoon alone, and he was doing well. The guy was an incredible fighter. Everyone watching was impressed. Robby, Miguel, Hawk, Demetri, Samantha and Devon had never seen a teenager fight like that. They thought Cobra Kai was the biggest threat, but apparently they weren't. There were even better fighters in this Sekai Takai.

"These guys are good." - Demetri commented, totally impressed as he watched the fight.

''The Iron Dragons captain is even better.'' - Samantha observed, looking at the figure of Axel Kovacevic fighting.

''The girl who is fighting Tory is also very good.'' - Devon sighed, unable to stop himself from commenting.

''I just hope Tory doesn't get hurt.'' - Robby let out, unable to contain himself.

''She won't.'' - Devon looked at him, trying to reassure him. - ''Tory is strong.'' - The girl affirmed and Robby smiled, grateful for the girl's support.

He knew that Devon meant to Tory what Kenny meant to him. They were his pupils. Devon to Tory and Kenny to Robby.

''Now it's going to be captain against captain.'' - Robby's thoughts were interrupted when he heard Hawk's voice commenting on the fight and he raised his head to see Yoon lying on the ground.

Axel had just knocked him down. Kwon frowned as he watched his dojo mate being defeated and charged at Axel, but he couldn't land a hit. Not even once. Axel was tall, fast and strong, and he blocked the blows with such ease that it seemed he was far superior to the others. Kwon, on the other hand, seemed to be giving his all and still couldn't be a match. Axel was definitely better. This was proven when Kwon tried a kind of flying kick and Axel caught him in mid-air, making Kwon crash into the mat.

Kwon and Yoon were defeated. Axel Kovacevic finished them both off.

Zara and Tory, still oblivious to all this, continued to fight each other. The best fighter Tory's age that she had faced in her life was Samantha LaRusso, and Zara seemed at least five times better. Where did this girl come from? Damn. What do you mean? Tory had no idea that fighters of this level existed. Still, she refused to give up. Tory used all the anger that was stored inside her and at one point even managed to impress Zara. The Iron Dragons captain had to admit: Tory Nichols was good and probably her main threat in this tournament, but for now Zara Malik was still better and she would not hesitate to prove it.

So, when Tory tried to punch Zara in the face with all the rage in the world, the Iron Dragons captain just blocked it and when she noticed this brief moment of distraction from the Cobra Kai captain, Zara took advantage to land a counterattack so strong that she ended up making the girl fall backwards onto the mat.

Zara Malik won. Tory Nichols was defeated.

Tory thought the humiliation would end there, but before she could get up and compose herself, Zara stopped right in front of her and made a point of saying:

''Welcome to Barcelona, bitch!''

I know this chapter was short compared to the others, but I just had to post this before the teaser came out lol I really believe there will be a fight between Iron Dragons and Cobra Kai in the tournament, so I just imagined it. I know it sucks that Tory lost, but I wanted to build a rival that is worthy of her and who knows, right? Maybe Zara really is a rival for her. We'll find out on November 15th.

Anyway, I know I said there would be Keenry at the bar in this chapter, but it didn't happen. Unfortunately. The next one we'll have Keenry at the bar. I promise.

If you could comment and tell me what you thought, I'd be grateful. Thanks! Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
