The Kiss of Death and what they were just calling the Kiss of Marriage

These were just two things that happened to Ranko at the time and she did not think that much of them. She did not think too seriously about the idea that if a Chinese Amazon loses to a woman they will continue to challenge the outsider, chasing her to the ends of the earth if need be, until one of them is dead. Apparently, Shampoo was not serious about the Kiss of Death the first time around as that is why when she learned that Ranko could become a guy. She gave him the Kiss of Marriage and attempted to marry her which she had found more annoying at the time.

However, now Ranko was regretting not taking Shampoo more seriously as now the purple haired Amazon was now tired of being away from home. Since her Kiss of Marriage was not working out she switched back to the Kiss of Death. Which she was carrying out with ruthlessly as the idea of Shampoo, out for blood and seeking her death, was far more terrifying to Ranko even more so in her current state. Shampoo had seemingly dropped all pretense and was now really out of her head as she wanted to go home and Ranko's head was seen as the easier ticket home than Ranma's hand in the end. Thus Shampoo took out everyone that she could rely upon after she was turned back de-age into a young girl and locked in her female form. This was not seen as something dishonorable to do in Shampoo's eyes at least not for the current her. The Kiss of Death meant that one of them was going to die as it did not state that they had to do it in honorable combat only thus Shampoo was going to win through what means she needed to. Thinking Ranko had undone something similar before and was even stronger for it thus why not do it again as killing her would boost Shampoo even more even when she got back home. If Ranko could not then that would be all there was too as she was at her limit and lost because she could not overcome the obstacle set before her this time around.

So any possible ally Ranko could have had in Nerima was taken down or even taken out beforehand. Ranko would only hope that they were all still alive as the carnage she saw when she rushed back to the Tendo Dojo only to be serevely beaten Ryoga informed Ranko to run. That Shampoo was not playing around this time and that she was truly serious about taking her out thus when she ran for her life and she had been constantly on the run, sleeping with one eye open to avoid being caught by the vengeful Amazon.

She had taken on the name "Ranko" to distance herself from her past identity as Ranma. While she retained her skills the fact was that this body she had now could not handle them that well cause her now younger body. The Amazon used every weapon and resource at her disposal to corner Ranko, leaving the red-headed girl no choice but to constantly evade people and hide. Harming anyone who would even attempt to help the red hair girl leading is what leads to her trying to avoid people altogether.

In their latest encounter, Ranko had barely managed to escape Shampoo's clutches. She had even fallen off a bridge into a raging stream, already exhausted from their previous encounters. It was nothing short of a miracle that she had made it out of that raging stream alive. The struggle to reach the surface after crashing into the water itself from such a height that would one would have normally expected that alone to kill them outright. Exhausted and injured, she stumbled across the stream's coastline her clothing soaking wet from head to toe. Her body moved merely because she did not want to risk being out in the open like this at least until she finally collapsed on the ground. Ranko was just lying her strength was gone, and her desire to move forward was even leaving her as she could not muster up the idea of taking another step. Her mind just seemed to shut down as she just lay there on the stream coastline. As she lay there, her eyes dull with exhaustion and defeat, Andrew Ryan III noticed her and saw an opportunity for his own plans. He saw potential in this beaten and broken girl, deciding that she would be a good addition to what he had in store.
