HEY GUYS sorry for the 2 months break and id just like to answer one question and also thanks for the wonderful dms!
IMPORTANT:
you can skip past the first half if youve read the anime its basically just a little recap on the scene in the entrance and exam thing. whatever no one cares anyway
BeginnersEnd:
hope you make izuku the very first user of haki and not all for one to be honest as haki is a quirkless power and willpower made manifest and its not a spiritual power ad there has been no statement of this whatsoever despite it able to sense spiritual energy and also it would izuku very well on the long run even without a quirk and would be very fitting for luffy vision of freedom
I have considered that actually, but there's just one thing. Who will have One For All instead of Izuku? I didn't want Mirio to have it because it takes away from the awesome character that he is and why he is so strong with such a not-so-good quirk.
I have an idea already, and I ain't tryna say much right now since I'm still debating whether to choose A or B.
The thing is, Luffy's whole concept is that he is the most free, and his whole character, Nika, is derived from people's desire for freedom. That's why he is the most free.
In my personal opinion, Izuku should still have One For All, especially later on in the show with his vigilante arc.
When he becomes a vigilante, it's because he thought he couldn't be a hero, so he decided to save people as a vigilante, just like Luffy in the beginning.
What I'm planning to do is that after All Might has lost his power, Izuku looks up to Luffy more and more, to the point where he becomes a vigilante just like Luffy and legit cannot see that he is trying to be someone he is not.
He is a hero, not a vigilante, and I want that character arc to be both that he can be himself and to remind people that he is legit a teenager. When you look up to someone, you want to become them. That's why at the start of the show, he legit wants so desperately to become All Might.
And I think if I didn't give him One For All, his whole character development would be thrown away, and he couldn't realize for himself that he needs to find his own dream, where he decides that he wants to become one of the greatest heroes to ever exist.
And what makes him go through that character development is none other than Luffy himself.
I'm not gonna bother correcting spelling mistakes, but truly, I love your view on this, and I just wanted to share my opinion on it.
anyway enjoy
8:40 a.m. – U.A. High School Entrance
Midoriya Izuku stood at the grand entrance of U.A. High School, his heart pounding in his chest. He took a deep breath, clutching his school bag tightly as he gazed up at the towering building before him. The weight of his dreams and the pressure of the upcoming exam made his legs feel like they were glued to the ground.
"Made it just in time," he muttered to himself, relief washing over him as he began to walk towards the entrance. The worry and anxiety he had been battling for days crept back into his mind. "I was so worried about the exam that I didn't even have a chance to test my new powers."
As he walked, lost in his thoughts and muttering under his breath, a familiar, harsh voice broke through his reverie.
"Stupid Deku."
The voice belonged to none other than his childhood bully, Bakugo Katsuki, who was glaring at him with his usual intensity. Bakugo's explosive presence seemed to suck all the oxygen out of the air as he stormed towards Izuku.
"Get out of my way now before I set you on fire," Bakugo growled, his crimson eyes narrowing with disdain.
Izuku's heart skipped a beat, fear gripping him for a moment. The old habit of feeling small in Bakugo's presence took over, and he quickly stammered, "G-good luck, Kacchan."
Other students walking past them started to whisper, recognizing Bakugo from recent events.
"Isn't that the kid who withstood the Sludge Villain attack and got saved by Straw Hat Luffy?"
Izuku watched Bakugo walk past him, the tension slowly ebbing away. A mix of confusion and introspection settled in as he recalled the recent change in Bakugo's attitude. "Weird, ever since that day, he's been taking it easier on me," Izuku thought, his mind replaying the memory of the rescue. "I guess I was just scared out of habit."
With a deep sigh, he tried to shake off the remnants of his fear. "But I'm not defenseless anymore," he reminded himself, clenching his fists. "I have to remember all the work I put in, all thanks to All Might and Luffy. I'm actually going to be a hero!" A surge of confidence filled him, but it was fleeting. His mind quickly spiraled back into self-doubt, and in his distraction, he tripped over his own feet.
For a brief, terrifying moment, Izuku was sure he was going to faceplant right in front of U.A.'s gates. But instead of hitting the ground, everything around him seemed to freeze as he felt himself floating.
"Are you okay? Haha!" came a cheerful voice.
Izuku blinked in surprise, realizing he was suspended in mid-air. A girl with short brown hair and large, kind eyes was smiling at him. She had used her Quirk to save him from an embarrassing fall.
"I stopped you with my Quirk. Haha, I'm sorry I didn't ask first, but I figured you wouldn't mind me catching you," she said, her voice light and friendly. "Isn't this all nerve-wracking?" She flashed him a reassuring smile.
"I, uh…" Izuku stammered, completely flustered and unable to form a coherent sentence. His face flushed red with embarrassment.
"Well, I'll see you inside!" she said with a wave, before turning and walking away.
Izuku stood there, frozen for a moment, replaying the interaction in his head. "Holy wow, I just talked to a girl!" he thought, excitement and disbelief swirling within him. Though, he realized he hadn't actually done much talking.
U.A. High School Hero Course Exam Orientation
The auditorium buzzed with nervous energy as hundreds of U.A. candidates took their seats, anxiously waiting for the orientation to begin. The atmosphere was thick with anticipation and tension, everyone knowing that this was the first step towards their dreams of becoming heroes.
Suddenly, the room was filled with the booming voice of a man standing on the stage. He had long, spiked blond hair and greenish-yellow eyes, his presence electric.
"What's up, U.A. candidates? Thanks for tuning in to me, your school DJ!" he announced with enthusiasm, his voice echoing through the large space. "Let me hear you say YEAH!"
The response from the crowd was… silence. The candidates were too on edge to match his energy.
"Tough crowd, huh?" the man said, undeterred. "That's fine, I'll skip straight to the main show!" His tone shifted, becoming more intense. "ARE YOU READY?!" he shouted, like a rockstar trying to pump up a concert crowd. But again, his energy was met with quiet apprehension from the students.
Izuku, sitting somewhere in the middle, was practically vibrating with excitement. His eyes sparkled as he recognized the speaker. "Omg, it's the hero Present Mic! SO COOL!" he muttered under his breath, his voice betraying his awe. But his excitement was quickly squashed by a sharp "shut up" from Bakugo, who was sitting a few rows behind him.
"Today, you rocking boys and girls will be conducting a ten-minute mock urban battle after my mic drops," Present Mic continued, his voice filling the room. "You can bring whatever you want with you. After my mic drops, you'll head to the specified battle center, okay?"
The room remained silent, the candidates too focused to respond.
"OKAY?" Present Mic repeated, his voice tinged with a hint of impatience.
Izuku glanced down at his exam paper, looking for his designated battle center. Bakugo, who was nearby, noticed Izuku's reaction and scoffed.
"So in other words, they won't let you work with your friends," Bakugo sneered.
"You're right," Izuku replied, trying to keep his voice steady. "Even though our examinee numbers are consecutive, we have different battle centers."
Bakugo smirked. "Don't look at me, Deku. I'll kill you." His words were filled with his usual venom, startling Izuku.
"Damn, now I can't crush you," Bakugo muttered as he turned away.
Present Mic's voice boomed through the auditorium again, bringing everyone's attention back to the stage. "Okay, okay! Let's check out your targets. There are three types of faux villains in every battle center. You'll earn points based on the level of difficulty, so better choose wisely!" He explained the rules of the test, emphasizing the importance of strategy and quick thinking.
"But make sure you check it! Attacking other examinees is a no-no, okay?" Present Mic added, his voice playful yet firm.
Suddenly, a tall boy with glasses and a serious expression stood up from the crowd, raising his hand.
"Excuse me, but I have a question!" he called out, his voice clear and authoritative.
"Hit me!" Present Mic responded, ready to address the query.
"On the printout, you've listed four types of villains, not three. If this is a mistake, then it simply cannot do!" the boy said, his tone meticulous and almost reprimanding as he began to rant about the expectations placed on U.A., Japan's most notable school for heroes.
"And you! With the unkempt hair!" the boy suddenly pointed at Izuku, his sharp eyes narrowing.
"Huh? Me?" Izuku stammered, taken aback.
"Yes, you. You've been muttering this entire time. Stop that. If you can't take this seriously, then leave. You're distracting all of us," the boy scolded, his words cutting through the tension in the room.
Izuku shrunk back in his seat, feeling a wave of embarrassment wash over him. "I'm sorry," he murmured, his voice barely audible as a few students chuckled at his expense.
"Alright, alright! Quiet down, folks," Present Mic intervened, his tone light but commanding. "Examinee number 0771, thanks for your request!" He addressed the boy with the glasses. "The fourth villain type is worth zero points," he explained.
"That guy will just be an obstacle we throw in your way," Present Mic continued. "There's one in every battle center. There's kinda no point to beating them, so I recommend focusing on the ones topping the charts!"
With that, the presentation began to wind down. The candidates were given a few more details about the exam, the tension in the room growing with every word.
"Are you ready to go beyond?" Present Mic's voice rose to a crescendo. "Let's hear a PLUS ULTRA!"
The room remained tense, the silence heavy with the weight of what was to come.
"Good luck!" Present Mic finished, his voice echoing as the candidates began to steel themselves for the challenge ahead.
With Luffy
The moon cast a silvery glow over the rooftop where Luffy sat, a mountain of stolen meat piled high beside him. The sounds of distant sirens echoed through the streets below, but the Straw Hat pirate was too engrossed in his feast to care.
"Man, this meat is amazing!" Luffy exclaimed, tearing into another drumstick with a delighted grin. "I could eat this all night!"
Suddenly, the air around him grew cold, and a thick, dark mist swirled to life at the edge of the rooftop. Luffy squinted through the fog as a tall figure emerged—a man in a suit, his face obscured by the shifting shadows.
"Ah, I see I've found you at quite an opportune moment," Kurogiri said, his voice smooth and composed.
Luffy looked up, startled. "Whoa! Who are you? You some kind of ghost?"
"I am Kurogiri," he replied, unfazed. "A humble servant to a greater cause. And you, Luffy, have piqued my interest."
"Great cause? Sounds boring," Luffy said dismissively, grabbing another piece of meat.
Kurogiri chuckled softly, the mist curling around him. "I assure you, it is anything but boring. You seek freedom, do you not? A chance to challenge authority and live life on your own terms?"
Luffy paused, licking his fingers. "Yeah! I don't like people telling me what to do!"
"Exactly," Kurogiri continued, stepping closer. "Imagine a world where the strong are free to take what they want. A world you will conquer, where you can fight for your dreams without consequence."
Luffy's eye's had no interest '' Sorry, I'm not going to conquer anything''
Kurogiri's mist swirled playfully, as if he was savoring the moment. "What if I told you that by forming and alliance with the League of Villains, I could provide you with all the meat you could ever want? A never-ending supply of food, available whenever you desire. Consider it a small incentive to join our ranks."
Luffy's mouth watered at the thought. "Wait, you're saying I can have all the meat I want?"
"Indeed," Kurogiri replied, his tone enticing. "In return, you simply lend your strength to our cause. Together, we will dismantle the very systems that seek to bind you."
Luffy grinned, already imagining a mountain of meat. "I don't understand what you mean but If it means more meat, I'm in!"
"Excellent choice," Kurogiri said, his voice smooth as silk. "I will ensure that your appetite is well taken care of. Together, we shall bring chaos to those who would dare to control you."
As Kurogiri began to fade into the mist, Luffy laughed
"Enjoy your meal, Luffy. I will be in touch," Kurogiri said, his form dissipating into the shadows.
With a triumphant cheer, Luffy dug back into his pile of meat, blissfully unaware of the true nature of the alliance he had just formed, his mind solely focused on the promise of endless feasts and freedom.
A little while later
"YOU DID WHAT?" Kaseki's voice echoed throughout the lab, causing some glass beakers to rattle on their shelves. His heart pounded in his chest as he stared at Luffy, who, as usual, seemed completely unaffected by the chaos around him.
Luffy sat on the countertop, casually munching on an apple he had swiped from the lab's snack table, his legs swinging lazily back and forth. "Yeah! Some misty dude showed up, said he'd give me all the meat I wanted if I helped him out. Sounded like a fair deal to me!" He laughed, the carefree tone making Kaseki's stomach churn.
Kaseki ran a trembling hand through his messy hair, pacing the length of the lab. His heart wasn't just racing from the shock of Luffy's words, but from something deeper—something darker, that he had buried long ago. The League of Villains. Those three words triggered a flood of memories, ones he had no intention of ever revisiting.
"You're telling me a ghost-looking guy—probably Kurogiri—asked you to make an alliance with the League of Villains?" Kaseki's voice had a sharp edge now, laced with disbelief and fear.
Luffy tilted his head, chewing thoughtfully. "Yeah! He said they're fighting bad guys and a bunch of meat"
Kaseki stopped pacing, his back turned to Luffy. His hands clenched into fists, the tension in his body visible. He had escaped them. He had risked everything to get away, He had fought tooth and nail for a sliver of freedom, not just for himself... but for Luffy.
The thought twisted in his chest like a knife. All he wanted was for Luffy to remain free, untouched by the darkness that had consumed so many years ago. But now... Now, it felt like his past was creeping back, threatening to drag Luffy into the very abyss Kaseki had sworn he'd never return to. He was no hero; he had his own reasons for running. Reasons he couldn't bring himself to share with Luffy, not now, not ever.
Kaseki's voice wavered as he forced himself to speak. "Luffy... you don't know what they're capable of. You don't understand what the League of Villains stands for. They'll use you, twist you into something else." His throat felt tight, the words barely making it out. He couldn't tell him everything. He just couldn't.
Luffy, as if sensing none of the gravity in Kaseki's voice, just laughed again. "If they try to trick me, I'll just beat 'em up! No big deal."
Kaseki turned to face him, eyes narrowing. This isn't a game, Luffy. His thoughts screamed inside his head. But his voice faltered as the weight of the past pressed down on him. They almost killed me. And I wasn't even half as important as you. He opened his mouth to speak, to warn Luffy, but the words wouldn't come. Maybe it was fear. Maybe it was shame. Maybe he couldn't stand the thought of Luffy seeing the truth—that Kaseki had run, not for some noble cause, but because he was too scared to stay.
Shigaraki... All For One... He had seen what they were capable of. He had been a part of that world, a pawn in their grand game. And even now, years later, the mere thought of them chilled him to his core. He was afraid. But Luffy...
Kaseki looked at the young pirate, still smiling, still carefree. He's different. Luffy wasn't like him. He wasn't someone who ran from the world—he faced it head-on, ready to take whatever came his way. And that's why, despite the terror clawing at Kaseki's chest, he couldn't bring himself to doubt Luffy. Even as he feared the worst, a part of him knew that Luffy would rise above it all.
You'll surpass them, won't you? Kaseki thought, staring at the boy who spoke of becoming the Pirate King. No... you'll be more than that. The thought settled in his mind, heavy but certain. The King of Heroes.
"Are you sure, Luffy? You really want to ally with them?" Kaseki's voice was quieter now, laced with hesitation. His chest tightened with guilt. He wasn't telling Luffy the full story, but he couldn't. He had left that life behind, and he wasn't ready to face it again. Not now, maybe not ever. But Luffy? Luffy was different.
Luffy's grin widened, as though the question didn't carry the weight Kaseki had intended. "Of course! It's no big deal. If they're bad guys, I'll just take 'em down myself! And hey, they promised me meat. Lots of it!"
Kaseki chuckled, though it sounded hollow to his own ears. Meat. Of course, that's all it took for Luffy to jump into a dangerous alliance. But even with that, Kaseki couldn't bring himself to doubt Luffy's decision. He had seen the boy do the impossible time and again. He wasn't like the rest of them. Because he was the key for a new era.
In Kaseki's world, Greed meant justice. It wasn't about money or power—it was about taking control of your own fate, claiming what was rightfully yours. Luffy's greed wasn't selfish—it was a pure, unshakable desire for freedom. And Kaseki has the desire lingering in him as well. Even if the world labeled Luffy as a villain for his actions, in Kaseki's eyes, that greed is justice.
as Kaseki watched Luffy laugh off the situation, he couldn't help but laugh as well, after all
The warrior of liberation plays the fool to make others smile.
