What is going on?! I don't like to be late, but this site man! Anyway, ENJOY!

Reviews:

VegitarianVampire123-HELLO! Sorry for the late upload, but this site is making me so angry! Thank you for your kind words and I hope you like this chapter just as much!

Guest- I've never flown first class either and I want too! I had a friend recount their one time flying first class and took their experience lol!

agabriellafigueiredo- I'm so excited for you to read it...but I'm afraid you'll have to wait till next chapter. I pride myself on being as close as possible to the original characters and I'm a little nervous to write the Volturi so I've been reading and "studying" the best I can lol. I hope when we finally get there it's all you've been expecting! Thank you so much for you're kind words my friend, I'm not an author just a person writing for fun lol, but thank you soooo much, you really made my day and left me with a goofy smile for the rest of the week!

Ooshnish- OMG I WANT TOOOO!

STOPPPPP, you're making me blush! I really am having a hard time with these last few chapters so you're encouragement and kind words really mean the absolute world to me and I don't think I have enough words in the English language...or any language to thank you enough seriously! Fun Fact: I love Rose in the books, I think it's becasue she didn't really like Bella and I also don't really like Bella lol, so writing her in sister mode is a lot of fun especially because I have a lot planned for her and Mare's relationship later ;) I LOVE TO READ, but must admit I haven't read anything from a song of Ice and Fire, I was honestly just looking for a book that would fit the Twilight time line, since technically we're in the early 2000's. I'm so happy you finally got some nice weather to sit by the pool, the weather over here finally got chillier, THANK GOD! It's always so good to hear from you my friend, I hope everything is good for you and wish you the BEST OCTOBER!

AlexisHard-Hello my friend! AWWW you're so sweet, you honestly make my day, I love seeing you pop up! I love that you'e eager to read abut the Volturi although I hope you don't mind waiting another chapter, I just want to make it perfect and as true to the original characters as possible! I hope you're October is perfectly spooky!

Grechenia-HELLO! It feels like a long time honestly, but again you don't have to apologize lol! All is good, and of course everyone who I interact with on this site is my friend! You are making my blush honestly it's you who are the wonderfully kind caring person, without you I'm nothing so this is all thanks to you my luv! I don't like to give myself credit because honestly what I do doesn't feel like much, I'm just a person who sat down and wrote a fanfic and shared it with all of you, nothing big. OH MY GOODNESS GIRL! you've got a lot of catching up to do, WOW! I can't wait for you to read those chapters, but completely understand that live gets in the way and we can't always do the things we want, so please take your time and take care of yourself! I hope yourself and your family finds health, wealth and love, because you deserve it all! And you're right it's okay not to be okay, let yourself feel those feelings and validate yourself before going back out into that crazy world! I can't wait to hear from you again and hope everything falls perfectly into place, because you my greatest online friend deserve nothing but the best!

P.S- I will always be here to help you get through tough weeks, that's what friends are for!

KEZZ 1- Not thank you my friend!

I Love You Too

"You know, back in my world there was this top-rated show called Jersey Shore, and one season they came to Italy. I've watched that season at least eight times so I could probably show you around if you need me to." Carlisle looks up from the review mirror with a playful smile on his face,

"I'll take you up on that."

"Jersey Shore?" Rose asks, "What's that even about?"

"Young people who go to the shore every summer." Rose scoffs,

"Sounds like it got canceled." I smile at her. When we got off the plane, Carlisle took us to a fancy-looking place in the airport where he had already had a car waiting, but not just any car, but an Audi. Our plane landed in Florence, but our final destination Volterra is about an hour and a half away. Carlisle went to grab the bags while Rose quickly peaked into Ferragamo. Esme and I stayed behind while she asked me several times if I was hungry and if I wanted anything, it was only the eighth time that she finally stopped asking me, just in time for Rose to come back with two large shopping bags,

"Rose-"

"I got something for Alice too." Rose rolls her eyes. Esme raises an eyebrow and Rose smirks reaching into her bags pulling out a small red-wrapped box and handing it to Esme,

"Bribery," I nod, "I like it."

"You have to wait till Christmas." Rose rebalances her bags and starts walking away,

"Wait...what?"

Carlisle piled all our bags into the luxury car and herded us all in. That was a little over an hour ago and for the most part, it's been a good car ride, Carlisle talked a bit, pointing things out and talking about the history, I tried my best to listen but after a bit everything just seemed to slow down and I found myself staring out the window, until Esme turned toward the back where Rose and I sat,

"Volterra is straight up ahead," This catches my attention and I sit up looking out the window, the town we're approaching sits at the very top of the uphill road we're on. It's beautiful being completely made up of stone and brick in a sea of cinnamon brown, visually it's stunning, but something I also noticed, it's bright. Why would vampires...a vampire government settle someplace that's so bright?

"It's not cloudy." Carlisle chuckles,

"That's a good observation." A cold hand touches my forehead,

"You alright?" I frown and push Rose's hand away,

"I just mean...why would anyone like you live here." This seems to make more sense to them because Carlisle nods,

"Ahhh, I see, well simple Mare, they don't leave."

"They don't leave?"

"Their home, they don't leave." I raise a brow,

"What about...food."

"It's brought to them." His answer is so nonchalant, it scares me and after a second of silence Carlisle elaborates, "It's not pretty Mare, but it's how they survive." I take a breath,

"Well if they eat me I get the gratification that I'm probably not very satisfying."

"Mare!" "Marceline" "Why would you say that?" Voices sound out around me,

"Too dark?"

"That was too dark for me," Rose frowns in my direction and I wipe the smile off my face although not completely.

"Wow...think Emmett would like it?"

"Mare!" Esme warns from the front seat, "I don't like that talk."

"Sorry," silence enters the car again until Rose looks at me,

"Maybe."

Carlisle stops the car outside one of the cinnamon brick buildings and turns around,

"Is there anything you need from your bag right away?" I lift a brow and shake my head,

"I don't think so, why?"

"We're going to leave the bags until later tonight," realization hits me,

"The sun?" I guess, Carlisle nods, "I can grab the bags," Carlisle shakes his head,

"No,"

"Why?"

"First of all, you still have stitches in your leg." Oh yeah, "and second I said so." He states with a frown,

"Is the great Carlisle Cullen using the age-old "I said so?" Carlisle smirks glancing towards Esme who shares his smile before turning back towards me,

"I am, so last chance, did you need anything in your suitcase at this exact moment?" I think,

"Maybe my book," Carlisle nods,

"Alright, you three head into the house, I'll follow." It's then that I turn towards the stone building, it looks familiar to the other buildings around it, aged and worn, but the closer I look the more I notice, that the windows have flowers in them and theirs little signs by the door, these are houses. People live here...I turn towards Carlisle,

"Do you own this" Carlisle shakes his head,

"Of course not, the Volturi does, but we're renting it for now."

"Right," I nod, "that makes the most sense, a vampire government living in a stunning village owning a house and letting other vampires rent it out." Carlisle smirks,

"Get in the house smart one." Rose reaches over me opening the door and gently pushes me out. I step out first enjoying the sun on my face, the weather is mild, Carlisle said it was 16 degrees Celsius, and then to my confusion he told me it was about 60 in Fahrenheit. It's a complete difference from the 30s back home and I find myself smiling and tilting my head back, Rose pushes me forward to get out of the car and I turn towards her just as she's placing a hat on top of her head, but before the brim can completely shade her skin, the sun hits it creating a beautiful sparkle. Deep within the recesses of my mind, there's a memory of my grandmother picking me up from skating practice. I had just landed my first double and when the teacher told my grandmother she bent down to hug me, something she didn't really do often. I remember she was wearing a new pair of diamond earrings, the way they sparkled in the light...it can't even match Rose's skin right now. She turns towards me with a frown on her lips,

"Yes?"

"Beautiful," She smiles and tucks her hair around her neck,

"Well, now you're just making me blush." She places her hand on the small of my back and pushes me forward. I can hear Esme behind us and before I can reach for the door, it's thrown open and Emmett stands with a goofy grin on his face,

"Finally where have you been? It feels like we've been waiting for hours," He exclaims throwing his hands out in front of him,

"Who won?" I lift an eyebrow and Emmett's face falls,

"I don't want to talk about it."

"I did," Edward comments crossing behind Emmett,

"And we actually got here about 15 minutes ago." Alice pops up behind him,

"We however got here first." Tanya smiles sliding up next to Alice,

"You're here?" I scoot past Emmett and immediately right into Tanya's arms, she envelopes me in a cold hug, the feeling foreign yet familiar,

"What are we chopped venison?" I hear Emmett groan behind me,

"Hush," Rose whispers,

"How was your flight?" Tanya asks pulling me back,

"I slept," She runs her hand down the side of my head,

"If I could sleep, I'd probably fly more, or still smoke... can you still smoke on PanAm?"

"No" Rose smiles placing a hand around my shoulder and walking me more into the house and...it's beautiful. Just like the outside, the inside is completely made of brick including the archway we've just walked under, not a spec of drywall in sight. Above us the ceiling is made of wood, in a crisscross pattern that's reminiscent of gazebo's I've seen in wine vineyards, tall and sturdy perfect for grape branches to hang off of. There's a metal staircase on the far side of the room leading to a whole other floor and another brick archway to another room. The furniture is sparse but I'm sure the people staying here aren't staying to sit down and relax, although the people sitting down looked quite relaxed, however they stand when they see us enter the room,

"Carmen, Eleazar," Esme gleams stepping into the room from behind me,

"Esme," Carmen smiles holding her arms out, Esme gives her a quick hug, "We can't thank you enough for coming here."

"We know what this means to you." Eleazar nods in her direction and I step out of Rose's protective arm,

"You asked them to come?"

"We did," Carlisle steps next to me, holding out the book he bought me at the airport, I grab it holding it close to my chest,

"But why?"

"The more people who can stand with you gives you a better chance," Kate says, from the stairs, her heels clicking all the way down, Irina following behind her,

"Better chances of not dying you mean?" Kate's smile is gentle when she gets to the bottom, her hands grip the railing,

"I'm sorry Mare,"

"No one's dying on this trip." Carlisle stresses, his voice carrying in the large stone room, "Marceline, everyone in this room is here because we're here for you, this isn't easy, and we're going to walk with you every step of the way, we care for you." I realize everyone has moved to stand in front of me, pairing off into couples and small groups,

"We love you." I swallow

"I love you too."

The day feels weird, going by slowly and fast simultaneously. Carlisle lets me know that we're not going to the Volturi until tomorrow so today is the day to rest, relax, and pack, he stresses the relaxing part, indicating that he doesn't want me doing anything that doesn't revolve around laying around, or reading, and that's exactly what I do. Jasper brought a travel chess set and we end up sitting down and playing for about 2 hours, I lost each game, but it was calming, unlike Emmett Jaspers, who was not competitive, and after two hours Esme pulls me away to eat. This is the first meal Esme hands me that she didn't make, instead just as the sun was setting she sends Edward out to the closest pizzeria and bought a margarita pizza and it turns out...it's the best pizza I've ever eaten and I end up eating the whole thing.

It's not long after that, Carlisle takes me upstairs to one of the three bedrooms, he hands me one of the antibiotic pills Dr. _ prescribed, rubs cream on my leg, something he's been doing since I got back and then forces me to use the inhaler before tucking me into bed,

"Did you have a good day," I nod as he brings the blanket to my chin. It feels so wrong so maternal...I like it. Carlisle sits on the side of the bed and pushes my bangs back,

"Are you ready for tomorrow?" I ask him with a quirk of my brow, Carlisle chuckles

"Tomorrow, stay close to me okay, unless Aro says different, stay. By. My. Side."

"Aro?" He nods,

"He's one of the heads, everyone listens to him," I purse my lips, thinking back to what I know about Twilight, I don't remember Aro, but then again I've never watched the movies and I only got so far in the books, I'm lucky I know about the werewolves.

"Is he the one-"

"No Mare, don't think of that." I nod,

"Okay, I'll stay by your side." He smiles,

"Thank you, sweetheart. Sleep well." He leans down kissing my forehead before getting up and heading to the door,

"Carlisle!" I call before he can close the door, he turns, "Love you." I say slowly testing the waters, but Carlisle just smiles,

"I love you too."

A hand shakes me awake, I groan rolling over and opening my eyes, momentarily freaking out when I don't recognize my surroundings.

Italy that's right.

"Mare?" Esme's voice is soft and gentle, the same voice she always uses when she's waking me up,

"Mmmm?" I reach up to rub the sleep out of my eyes,

"It's time, honey."
