Sorry for the delay, I had school and work and ugh, so busy.

Time with the Daimyo was never meant to be long, in fact it was his time skip so brief... to get him to a high skill without showing too much.

One Year Into Working for the Daimyo

Mika smirked, gathering chakra around his palm, allowing it to grow and rotate around his forearm. "If this works... I might have found my own killer ace." Turning to the targets, he allowed himself to tense up just a little. "Quarter Demon Thrust!" He rushed and allowed the buzzing chakra palm to smash into the dummies, tearing it apart without effort. He cackled, smelling the chakra seared dummy. "I had heard of the Chidori and the Hell Jab of the Third Raikage from the Bingo book, this is my version of that." He turned, smiling at Kazuma. "I felt you twenty minutes ago, you might want to work on your stealth."

The man nodded. "I've seen you training, you pick things up so fast, faster than I do." The man cringed, rubbing his ribs. "I am pretty sure you're already Low A rank now, you hit like you're easily that level."

"That's what Chiriku senpai says." Mika frowned, "You alright, you almost seem distracted?"

Kazuma nodded, though Mika noted a darkness in his eyes, not unlike his late father. It was a cold thing, without empathy or love, almost metallic. "Nothing, child, nothing."

Mika didn't believe that for a second but knew better than to piss off Kazuma, the man was a beast in battle. Far stronger than Mika currently was, to the point that Mika knew he could be killed in minutes in a battle if he angered the man enough. Still, that would not be forever, he knew that in a few years time, he'd be too fast, too strong, too much stronger to be challenged by even Chiriku and Kazuma.

He just had to wait, to be patient,... and one day, he would never feel so weak again.

Smiling at the man, Mika felt the urge to leave. "I need to go study my sealing, I am about level four now. I aim to be level eight before I leave the Daimyo's service. I am currently studying the process of energy synthesis."

Two Years into Working for the Daimyo

The rush of astral fists startled Mika, Chiriku's special jutsu Thousand Armed Murder was a bitch to fight. Still, he had a plan. Channeling chakra into his blade, now armed with seals, he rushed the man and sliced through the enclosing fist. The thing actually disepated, and Chiriku stumbled back, eyes wide. "How?" Then he growled and pushed forward, sending more fists at Mika, each one dodged or cut through.

Mika reached his mentor and planted his blade against the man's throat. Both panted, blood and bruises covering thier bodies. "You use that technique in every other fight, it is not hard to adapt to it."

Huffing, Chiriku let out on long sigh. "I think you're my equal now, officially full on A Rank... good on you, kid." He turned. "It is a terrible thing they are recalling you to the Leaf."

Mika frowned. "What?"

"This was your final test, of skill and strength. Your medical skills are top notch, you're a great sealer, your a fantastic fighter, and you are whip smart. The village, having lost so much, has recalled you to serve it. They need your power, to fight back against those that would seek it's destruction."

Mika sighed. "So be it... It was an honor to serve along side you... thank you, Senpai."

Chiriku put a hand on his shoulder. "And I you, dear boy. Now, patch us up and let's get you ready to go home."

'Home, that place was never home, it was a base to grow... and now, it will be so again. One day I will not need it, one day I will be free.' Mika frowned. 'Why is Kazuma watching us... he is so odd, I'll bet this was his idea.'

""

'Good, I was right to convince the Daimyo to let him leave. He would be a huge thorn in my side.' Kazuma muttered internally. 'The boy is unpredictable and hard to read. Un his entire time here, his never made allies or real friends. He unnerved me, and I cannot have that if my plans are to come to fruition. Better he is in the Leaf, until I destroy it.

He could be our biggest threat or a great ally... but until I discover which, he must be gone.'
