Here's the next chapter! This is a sequel to the The Winter Dance, A Love Letter and everything in between! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Uraraka and her relationship with Midoriya. Some things have come up, so we'll see what happens... This is a story that I wanted to happen after A Beautiful View and A Love Letter! I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover, A Beautiful View and A Love Letter to understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
In Class 1-A's dormitory...
Uraraka stirred awake and found herself sleeping on the couch in the common room. She had fallen asleep watching TV. She didn't even remember falling asleep or getting tired. All she could remember was talking to Iida, watching TV and that's it. She must've gotten tired from healing Midoriya. It must've taken a lot out of her.
Then she looked out the window to notice that the sun was already setting.
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock and looked around for her backpack frantically. She found it nearby, and a few classmates noticed her looking concerned about something. Her hair was even looking a little bit like bedhead.
"Well hello there sleepyhead," Ashido said to her, "You were out for a while."
"Uraraka, what're you doing?" Yaoyorozu asked her while holding a cup of tea.
Uraraka looked through her backpack, remembering that she left her phone in there. She found out and looked up at her friends.
"It's Izuku. He might've called me," Uraraka said to them, "And I fell asleep. He might be waiting for me."
Uraraka opened her phone and noticed that she had a few missed calls and even a couple of text messages. One was from Kitsune, and one from Midoriya. She would look at Kitsune's later, but she opened up Midoriya's right away.
Izuku3: Hi. I don't know if you're awake or not. I wanted to talk to you. If you're not busy, I'd like to see you. Meet me up on the rooftop around 4 pm :)
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock and noticed that it was already passed four o'clock. She got up and grabbed her backpack. She shoved her phone into her pocket and ran towards the front door.
"Sorry guys! I've gotta go see Izuku," Uraraka said to them, "He needs to talk to me about something important."
Ashido and a few others gave her a knowing look, which made her blush a little.
"Huh...? Isn't that interesting? You helped him and even healed him. He must really like you right now," Ashido said to her with a wide smile.
Uraraka felt her face turn bright red and tried to shake it off.
"I-It's not like that, Ashido!" Uraraka cried out, "This has nothing to do with that!"
Ashido smile wouldn't go away as she kept leaning in to tease her. Uraraka couldn't really say anything about what was actually going on, which made it even more awkward. She just hoped things wouldn't be so weird and awkward once she was used to keeping this secret from her classmates. For now, she had to somewhat go with it.
"W-We're just... having some time to talk it through..." Uraraka said to her, "A lot has happened... We want to talk... privately."
Ashido flinched when Uraraka gave her a glare. She knew that her all of people would listen in on their conversation. So would anyone else at this point. She noticed Bakugo listening on the conversation, and he seemed to understand what was going on. Based on his reaction, he knew to keep an eye on them. She appreciated him for doing that for her. She definitely owed him.
Uraraka soon relaxed and turned to leave the dormitory. Before she could however, Mr. Aizawa stopped her from leaving.
"Where do you think you're going?" Mr. Aizawa asked her with a stern glare.
"M-Mr. Aizawa! I was just going to see Izuku. He just woke up and told me to meet him at the school," Uraraka said back, "Please. Can't I see him? He's already waiting for me."
Mr. Aizawa looked at her a good long minute. Uraraka couldn't tell what he was thinking as she stood there. He let out a sigh and stepped aside.
"Go on. Just don't be out past curfew," Mr. Aizawa said to her.
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock and didn't expect him to even say that to her. Everyone else was just as surprised as her in that moment.
"Thank you Mr. Aizawa! I promise that I'll be back soon!" Uraraka said back as she bowed to him.
But before he could leave, he turned around to mention something else. Uraraka almost jumped out of her shoes when he spoke up.
"Oh. And AllMight is personally letting you and Midoriya have a day out over the weekend," Mr. Aizawa said to her, "He thinks that you guys deserve a break. He just wants you to have fun for a bit since it's been a bit hectic lately. He only asks that you bring a friend or two with you, nothing more than that."
Uraraka almost dropped her jaw, shocked to hear him say this. He already left before she could say anything to him. Even her classmates and friends were shocked to hear this.
"Whoa. Mr. Aizawa has never done that before," Iida said to her, "I know that it was AllMight that planned this, but he still actually allowed it."
"I don't think AllMight planned the whole thing," Uraraka said with a smile, "Iida, would you like to come with us?"
She could tell that Iida was surprised by this. He didn't even seem like he should go considering they haven't a date in a while. Not since that bowling and pizza date with Ashido, Kirishima, Jirou and Kaminari.
"Are you sure Uraraka? I don't want to interfere," Iida asked back.
"Don't be ridiculous. This is the best time to for us three to spend some time together. This is the best time to do it," Uraraka said back with a smile.
"Yeah, Iida. You'll never get a chance like this," Yaoyorozu said to him, "You guys should go out for a while. Have some fun!"
"Can I come?" Ashido asked Uraraka.
"Sorry Ashido, but it's just for the three of us," Uraraka said back and gave Iida a wink.
Iida smiled at her, and Ashido pouted as she left Uraraka alone.
"You know, why not? It could be fun," Iida said to her, "We never get to hang out outside of U.A. like before."
Uraraka was glad that they could finally do this together. Just the three of them.
"Alright. I've gotta go," Uraraka said to them, "I'll see you later."
Everyone let her go see Midoriya, and Uraraka noticed that the sun was setting. She hoped that Midoriya was still there waiting for her. She figured that he had to be pretty cold up there. She picked up the pace and made sure that she had her phone on her. Uraraka pulled out her phone and quickly texted him.
Ochaco:Sorry Izuku! I fell asleep. I'm on my way over right now. Please don't go anywhere :)
Uraraka put her phone away and headed over there. She hugged her arms since it was getting cold outside. Uraraka noticed that the weather hadn't been all that weird ever since Midoriya's weird storm incident. Everything seemed like it was back to normal. She could even see Cementoss working on the school and fixing the damage that Midoriya accidentally caused. She kind of felt bad for him that he had to do all of this by himself.
Uraraka kept going and soon headed inside. She felt much better once she stepped into the locker room. It was so warm in there as she headed into the hallways. She instantly headed for the stairs as she went higher up. Uraraka felt going up to the rooftop, hoping that he was still there. She got a little tired for a moment, but kept going.
Uraraka soon found herself right by the heavy door. She took in a deep breath in and out, realizing that he might talk to her about something about One for All. Whatever it was, she could handle it. If she could jump in the air and heal Midoriya with her quirk, she could handle this as well. She pushed onto the heavy door, hearing it creak very loudly.
She kept pushing until she got to the top. The door slammed shut behind her, making her jump.
When she looked up, she saw Midoriya looking pretty cold. He sat by the rooftop, trying to keep warm. She felt how much colder it was up here and ran over to him.
"Izuku! What were you thinking?!" Uraraka yelled at him as she hugged him tightly, "It's freezing out here! You could get a fever again!"
Uraraka grabbed a big sweatshirt out of her backpack and gave it to him. He put it on, realizing that it was his that she never returned. He quickly put it on, feeling a lot better.
"So-Sorry..." Midoriya said through chattered teeth, "I-I just thought that maybe we could talk up here..."
Uraraka looked around and noticed that it was already getting a little dark outside. She knew that it would get really cold out soon. He couldn't stay outside for much longer or else he might get a fever again.
"Maybe we should go back into the school. Get you some tea," Uraraka said to him, "We can talk about this inside."
Midoriya didn't hesitate and nodded as she hugged him close. She pulled him up and brought him inside. They both walked downstairs, and Midoriya directed her towards a certain room that had tea and a place to sit and talk. Midoriya was quiet as Uraraka walked them both to the room. She looked down at him and noticed that he looked a little nervous about something. The way he kept looking anywhere else made her wonder what he wanted to talk about.
"Sorry that we couldn't talk outside. I can tell that it meant a lot to you to talk on the rooftop," Uraraka said to him.
"It's okay. I just thought that it would be nice to have some privacy," Midoriya said back.
Uraraka and Midoriya kept walking through the hallways and noticed how quiet it was. She had never walked through the school when it was empty like this before. It felt weird to say the least. She kept glancing over to Midoriya, and she noticed that he looked more determined to talk to her. Whatever it was, she wondered if it had anything to do with One for All and its origins. She remembered that Bakugo was respectful towards Midoriya telling her about it. It made her wonder what the origin was exactly.
Soon enough, they made their way towards this specific room that Midoriya knew about. He slid the door open and found AllMight sitting there with some hot tea already ready. He looked up to see them finally entering the room.
"AllMight?" Uraraka said to him, "What are you doing here?"
"I figured that you weren't going to be up on the rooftop for very long, so I decided to make some tea," AllMight said to them, "It's pretty cold outside. Why don't you two make yourselves comfortable in here?"
Uraraka and Midoriya both sat down on the couch while AllMight sat down on a stool across from them. Uraraka felt a little uncomfortable sitting there with AllMight. She didn't expect him to show up, let alone wait for them.
"I thought we were going to be alone," Uraraka whispered to him.
"I thought so too. AllMight and I usually talk in here though so I'm not surprised that he's here," Midoriya whispered back.
Uraraka sat there and made sure that he didn't hear them talking to each other. He soon grabbed some tea for both of them. Midoriya quickly grabbed it and blew on it. He hugged it close to keep him warm, which made Uraraka smile with how cute he looked. Uraraka noticed a blanket nearby and got up to grab it. She soon wrapped it around him, which made him blush a little.
"Thank you Ochaco," Midoriya said back.
She smiled and sat back down next to Midoriya. For a while, it was quiet as AllMight drank some of his tea. Uraraka felt like they were both a little nervous to be talking about this with her. She had no idea what any of this meant. Uraraka figured that it was important, but when she saw them being so quiet, she didn't know what to expect. She held onto her mug, feeling a little bit overwhelmed.
"AllMight... What is it that you wanted exactly?" Uraraka asked him, "I mean, I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but Izuku did want to talk about this alone."
"I know that. I just figured that Young Midoriya has never talked about this with anyone before. I figured that he needed some help with it," AllMight said back, "It's a little complicated."
Uraraka noticed how nervous AllMight was, and then looked at Midoriya. He seemed a little bit as well, and she wondered what this could mean. She took a sip of her tea, getting ready to let them talk this out. She took a deep breath in and out and felt ready to face them.
"Okay... What exactly is One for All?"
For a while, Midoriya just let AllMight talk about it. He held her hand as AllMight explained things to her. She felt so much support as Midoriya held her hand close to him. She couldn't look away from AllMight as he explained how One for All was made. Something about it gave her chills as he explained it even further. She felt like she was on the edge of her seat at one point as AllMight explained about All for One and his younger brother.
She definitely didn't expect any of this to come from a single quirk. Then again, this was a very different type of quirk. Probably the only quirk that could even pull this off. She felt Midoriya's hand squeeze her hand for comfort, and he soon entered the conversation to make things easier for her. She seemed to relax once Midoriya began to explain things to her. Her eyes wouldn't leave Midoriya's side once he began to talk about One for All and the first holder.
She was so interested in what One for All was, but didn't expect anything like this. Uraraka didn't even think that All for One was involved, at least not to this extent. It explained why she felt a chills and off when Midoriya's quirk was acting up. It reminded her of what went down in Kamino Ward. She looked at Midoriya's hand and felt bad for him for a moment. It just seemed like a lot for one person to handle. She didn't even let go of his hand as they soon settled down.
Midoriya looked at Uraraka, and both of him and AllMight were worried about what she might be thinking. She looked at her boyfriend and the retired Symbol of Peace. She even thought about what Bakugo went through during all of this. He got captured by the League of Villains and this is what caused AllMight to retire. She felt bad for Bakugo after all of this for some reason. She thought she would be worried about Midoriya, but then she realized that Bakugo had been through a lot as well.
"What about Bakugo? Does he know about any of this?" Uraraka asked them, "About One for All's origins, I mean."
Midoriya seemed surprised that she even brought him up at all.
"For the most part, yes. He doesn't know the details as much as Young Midoriya here, but he does understand what's going on," AllMight explained to her.
Uraraka clenched her fists, wondering how he felt after all of this.
"You do know that he blames himself for what happened, right?" Uraraka pointed out, "He told me so himself."
AllMight and Midoriya looked down at the floor, which confirmed what she told them.
"Yes. I'm aware," AllMight said to her, "He's been through a lot. Hopefully things will settle down soon between me and him."
"Ochaco. You don't have to worry about Bakugo," Midoriya said back, "He's tough and stubborn... but..."
Uraraka noticed him trail off and wondered what he was thinking about. He caressed her hand, which made her heart flutter. He had a hard time looking at her, which made her a little worried. Whatever he was about to say to her, she wondered if it had anything to do with their relationship.
"I wanted to tell you something... It's about your quirk..." Midoriya said to her.
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock and didn't know where this was going. Her and AllMight talked about her quirk evolving, but didn't know what else Midoriya was going to mention. Something about it made her a little nervous. Her quirk felt a little more settled down, like it was now used to it evolving. Midoriya could barely look at her, and he even looked a little upset.
"I... I think One for All affected it..." Midoriya said to her, "You being around me all the time... It somehow changed it into something else or maybe even made it stronger..."
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock, even if she somewhat already knew this. Something about him telling her though made it seem even more real. She looked down at her hand, which made Midoriya flinch at little.
"That's why I could feel One for All around you all this time," Uraraka said to him, "It seems like I've been able to feel it ever since the Winter Dance. It must've started when we danced together. I guess I never realized it until just now."
Midoriya's eyes widened in shock, surprised that this had happened around that time. If they hadn't gotten together, then her quirk would've been fine. None of this would've ever happened.
"I'm sorry..."
Uraraka looked up to see Midoriya tearing up. She didn't expect him to be crying over this. Then she realized that he blamed himself for what happened.
"If we never got together... then... maybe this would've never happened..." Midoriya said through tears.
Uraraka felt sick to her stomach that he would even say that to her. She couldn't imagine them not together at this point. She remembered how amazing it felt to dance with him on that night. How good it felt to have him in her arms. Even her quirk felt stronger than ever before as they floated through Gym Gamma.
Uraraka held his hand and got his attention by squeezing it.
"Izuku... Don't ever think like that," Uraraka said to him, "I love you. Ever since the Winter Dance, all I ever wanted was to be with you. Being by your side was the best thing to ever happen to me. And if my quirk is stronger because of it, then I'm okay with it. It might even help me become a better hero because of you. So please... don't let this ruin the Winter Dance for you, because it means a lot to me."
Midoriya couldn't look away as she stared into his green emerald eyes. He noticed how beautiful she looked with her caramel brown eyes sparkling from the moonlight streaming inside of the room. He held her hand and squeezed it back, feeling her soft and gentle touch. He could swear that he was floating because of her.
He smiled at her through tears, making her smile as well.
"The Winter Dance means a lot to me too... That was the first time you told me that you love me," Midoriya said to her.
Uraraka's smile widened, and she felt like she could float away. AllMight then cleared his throat, obviously a little uncomfortable watching them get close to each other. They both separated from each other, feeling a little embarrassed. Uraraka looked at Midoriya and felt so good about this conversation.
She smiled, knowing that everything was going to be okay.
Once things settled down, Uraraka, Midoriya and AllMight hung out together for a little while longer. They all had some tea, talked about school, homework and hero training. Uraraka even showed Midoriya that she had his homework to catch up on soon. They all enjoyed each other's company for a good while. Then Uraraka noticed AllMight looking a little upset or nervous about something. She didn't understand what he was upset about, but something about it bothered her.
Soon enough, they were leaving U.A. and heading back to their dormitory. Midoriya and Uraraka were almost out of the room, when AllMight stopped Uraraka for a moment. AllMight looked worried about something, which made Uraraka wonder about what he wanted to talk to her about.
"You should know something about One for All and All for One before you leave..."
