It's a wrap! I hope you liked this story! It was a pretty easy write, but I still enjoy it very much! There's still more to come! Their song is from Enchanted called So Close. I love the song, and I find it underrated. I knew that Uraraka would find out soon, so I decided to write this as a way for them to get closer. Also, I actually kind of like the idea of Uraraka being able to heal. It kind of works considering what kind of character she is towards Midoriya. I really enjoyed this one!
This is a sequel to the The Winter Dance, A Love Letter and everything in between! I don't know how long it's going to be, but it might not be a short story. This is going to be more about Uraraka and her relationship with Midoriya. Some things have come up, so we'll see what happens... This is a story that I wanted to happen after A Beautiful View and A Love Letter! I highly recommend reading The Winter Dance, Class 1-A's Sleepover, A Beautiful View and A Love Letter to understand what's going on fully. Other than that, Enjoy!
In the hallways...
AllMight soon let them leave before it was curfew. Uraraka and Midoriya understood and didn't want to get AllMight into trouble. They left, knowing full well that Midoriya was feeling much better. He could finally head back to the dormitory. Uraraka felt so good now that he could finally head back with her. Something about him walking back with her felt so relaxing.
They both walked back quietly and wondered what the other was thinking. They kept glancing at each other when the other wasn't. No one said anything, worried of what the other might say back.
Uraraka thought about AllMight had told her. He mentioned how One for All was meant to take down All for One one day. He even brought up some things that even Midoriya didn't know about. She hesitated to say anything about this to Midoriya. Clearly AllMight just needed to let her know since he is her boyfriend. He thought that she deserved to know the truth.
She looked up at Midoriya, wondering how things were going with One for All now that things were settling down.
"Izuku, how are you feeling? Any better?" Uraraka asked him.
"Yeah. I think that fever is finally gone, thanks to you," Midoriya said to her, "Even Recovery Girl's quirk seemed to get rid of it completely..."
Uraraka noticed Midoriya trail off and look away from her. She didn't know what was bothering him, but she knew that it had something to do with her quirk. She looked down at her hand, remembering what Midoriya told her. Her quirk was evolving because of One for All. She wasn't bothered by it at all for some reason. If anything, she was just glad that she was able to help him out. She did wonder however how this might affect things during hero training. She was curious if she could actually improve on this however and be a healer type as well as a combat skilled pro hero.
Uraraka smiled, realizing how this might help her in the long run.
"Ochaco?"
Uraraka looked up to see Midoriya, and he stopped in his tracks. He looked like he wanted to say something. He scratched the back of his head, and Uraraka could tell that he didn't know how to go about this.
"I... I wasn't sure... how you felt about One for All... You never said much about it back there," Midoriya pointed out, "I just... wasn't sure if things between us are any different than before."
Uraraka's eyes widened and looked down at the ground. She wondered that herself and looked up at Midoriya. She could still feel One for All, but it wasn't as strong as before. If anything, it was subtle and barely there. She probably wouldn't even notice it if she went back to her dorm room. She hesitated to say anything, not sure how to go about this either. Uraraka reached out towards him and placed her hand on top of his chest. She remembered how good it felt to be near him when she healed him.
Something about it felt so much better than she expected.
"Izuku... I still care about you. Nothing would ever change that," Uraraka said to him, "One for All... It seems like a lot for one person to handle. Don't you want someone by your side helping you out? If anything has changed, I'd say I still want to be with you. Hero training with you and making both of us stronger pro heroes. There's nothing else I would love to do more than be with you."
Midoriya looked like he was about to cry tears of joy. He held her hand and leaned into her to kiss her. She felt him kiss her and wrapped her arms around him. He felt so warm and comforting as she hugged him closer to her. She could feel his arms wrap around her waist and hugged her closer to him. They kissed for a while, feeling a cool breeze blow all around them. The moonlight streamed down through the cherry blossom trees, creating a beautiful effect that looked like a spotlight. The cherry blossom petals fell gently onto the ground and even in Uraraka's hair.
They both stopped kissing and soon laid their heads onto their foreheads. They stayed like that for a while just admiring one another's company.
"I love you Ochaco," Midoriya whispered to her, "So much."
Uraraka felt her cheeks blush as they held each other close.
"Ever since I met you... I just knew that you were special. I didn't have any friends back then before U.A., and now that you know about One for All, it just makes me realize that there's no one else I'd rather share this secret with than you. You were always there for me, always by my side. All you ever did was support me and inspire me to be a better hero," Midoriya said to her, never looking away from her, "Ochaco... You're my hero."
Uraraka's eyes widened in shock and felt tears forming under her eyes. She couldn't look away from as the moonlight hit his eyes and made them sparkle. Her heart fluttered as she held him close, and he pushed her hair back behind her ear to look at her beautiful face. That made her almost activate her quirk as he held her closer.
"Yo-You... You really think so...?" Uraraka said to him with a tear streaming down her face.
Midoriya didn't hesitate this time around.
"Yes. You mean a lot to me," Midoriya said to her, "And that dance, that was the best thing that ever happened to me."
Uraraka felt more tears stream down her face and felt Midoriya wipe a tear away. She couldn't help but kiss him back and pulled him in closer. Her cheeks were warm as she kissed him with so much passion. Midoriya didn't pull away and wrapped his arms around her. They both felt like they could float away into the distance.
Before they knew it, they were floating above the cherry blossom trees.
Uraraka looked down and worried that she activated her quirk on him. Then she noticed that Midoriya had used one of his quirks by accident. He held onto her, but she quickly used her quirk to help her stay afloat. He tried to keep her in his arms as they stayed in the air for a good while.
"Wha-What the?! Is this one of your quirks?!" Uraraka cried out.
"Ye-Yeah... I should've told you. It's actually AllMight's master that had this quirk," Midoriya explained to her, "It could allow her to float and stay suspended in the air."
"I can see that..." Uraraka said to him as she looked down at the cherry blossom trees, "Maybe we should get..."
Uraraka then locked eyes with Midoriya and noticed how handsome he looked in the moonlight. Something inside of her just felt so much lighter than usual. She couldn't look away as they both floated in the air. The air was cold and breezy, but it didn't seem to bother them. Midoriya couldn't look away either as they held each other close.
"You know... I wouldn't mind floating here with you for a little while longer," Midoriya said with a smile.
Uraraka felt her cheeks warm up as she held him close. She really liked the feeling of him being this close to her. It reminded of her the Winter Dance, especially with how romantic it felt.
"Me neither..." Uraraka said back with sparkling eyes.
Uraraka then noticed that he guided her hand up and out and positioned his hand to her waist. She blushed he swayed her around like they were dancing together. She couldn't look away as they soon were dancing along with the cool Spring breeze. He guided through the dance under the moonlight. She soon found herself twirling, and they could both swear that they heard their song playing as they danced together. Uraraka could remember the lyrics and the way the music swayed to the rhythm.
"Now you're beside me... and look how far we've come... So far... we are... so close..."
Uraraka looked up to see Midoriya singing to her. He felt like he was singing them to her through her ear, making her feel so much comfort. She held him close, feeling so relaxed in his arms. He felt so warm as he swayed to the music that played in their heads. All they wanted to do was dance their in the sky. She felt like she was back in Gym Gamma, dancing in her green fancy, dress. She could swear how handsome he looked that night in his pink and navy blue tuxedo. They circled around in the sky, making her feel so inspired and felt so light on her feet.
Midoriya and Uraraka couldn't look away as they danced to their performance. They both remembered the steps and how it went. It felt so liberating to be doing this in the middle of the U.A. campus. Soon they both felt really cold as Uraraka was being held in Midoriya's arms, bridal style. She smiled and hugged him close to her.
"We should probably head back to the dormitory. Don't want Mr. Aizawa lecturing us," Midoriya told him.
Uraraka didn't want to stop dancing with him. She held onto him as he settled them both down to the ground. Uraraka even turned off her quirk as they landed softly. She held onto him tightly and hugged him. Midoriya smiled and wrapped his arms around her as well. She soon had her feet on the ground, but didn't want to let go of him.
"That's all I ever think about is that song," Uraraka whispered to him, "I loved every moment of that dance."
Midoriya smiled and brushed her hair as they held each other close. She soon let go of him and wrapped her arm around his. They headed over to the dormitory, feeling much better and kind of lovestruck.
"That was amazing..." Uraraka commented with a smile, "We should do that more often."
"Yeah..." Midoriya said back, "I can't wait to hero train with you. With your quirk like that, you could really do some great things with it."
"I'm kind of curious about it myself," Uraraka said to him, "It would be nice to improve it somehow. I can tell that it needs some training."
"I can help you if you want," Midoriya said back, "I wouldn't mind having you around to hero train with."
Uraraka smiled back and hugged him as they walked back to the dormitory. She felt herself blush and felt so good about it.
"You know... Mr. Aizawa is allowing us to go out over the weekend for a day," Uraraka told him, "I invited Iida. I thought that you might like to hang out with him as well. He's been looking forward to finally hanging out with us for a while now."
"Really?" Midoriya said with a smile, "That sounds great. I can't wait. First, I need to catch up on some homework."
"I can help you with that. I've been doing a lot better with math these past couple weeks," Uraraka said back with a smile.
Midoriya smiled back, and Uraraka felt like she could melt into his arms right there. She pulled him in close, happy to have him back.
They both walked together, taking their time. The moonlight made the night sky so bright and sparkly as they made their way back to the dormitory. Uraraka smiled and wrapped her arm around her boyfriend, feeling so grateful to have him by her side.
She felt like she could finally relax, knowing that Midoriya was feeling better.
