Drinny FF
Chapter 12
And so it happened that, the next day, Malfoy and I started studying together. At first we started with basic potions. I started leaving small notes and potion diagrams in Malfoy's study materials after their sessions. I know Malfoy pretended not to care, but saw him use them during class.
During a particularly complicated lesson on the Antidote to Common Potions, Malfoy got frustrated. We argued for a bit, but he eventually apologized.
Over time, we started talking more than just potions. Even I started talking about some of the pressures I was under. Not about my mental health struggles, though. Never that. Malfoy listened, offering no judgement but quietly empathizing.
I noticed I got more comfortable with Draco, I mean, Malfoy. We stopped with the secrecy, not only studying in his private quarters but also in empty classrooms after curfew. The secrecy, while a hassle, added some kind of… tension?
I help Malfoy improve his potion-brewing technique by breaking down the steps into smaller, manageable tasks.
And so, weeks went on.
