3rd P.O.V

For once, she was early. Her first class doors was already open, with the bell not ringing not for another hour or so. Shishiki has eaten, her homework was already done, far ahead of the assigned due dates. It was a good day, especially since she was able to kick back on her laptop.

Labunni was nestled on her left shoulder and her joltik was on her right, together the three of them scanned through the pokenet. "School forums?" Originally she was looking to see if the school had some sort of online library for her to browse through.

Maybe find some sort of movie, or a good book to explore. Instead she found herself curious as she clicked on the shortcut to the students' posts. "Headmaster's on the prowl for chaos? When isn't he?" She quickly scanned the contents.

Topic: Headmaster's on the prowl for chaos.

Username: Ludiloco342

Headmaster is known for his zubatsh*t antics. Despite his staff's demands he erratically breaks up the semester with oddball events that happens whenever he d*mn well pleases. Random tournaments. Out of the blue catch that pokemon. F*cking festivals-the list goes on.

For freshis look out and don't expect this place to be your typical school. Rumors are especially talking that very soon, the headmaster is going to do a random event to kick off the first week. What it will be, no one knows, but still-don't let your guard down and keep what pokemon you got on you.

"That bodes well..." She scoured further. Finding all sorts of strange titles to topics. "Title-Students wanted for odd jobs. Title-Random student on the roof with legendary pokemon-nope not bothering with that. Uh let's see." She scrolled down the list, frowning.

Shishiki's head was starting to hurt staring at all these topics. "Alright class, time to do roll call!" With a jolt, the student shut her laptop, throwing it into her bag before grabbing her notebook and a few pencils.

It was Cynthia's grandmother in the flesh. She smiled at the group sitting before her. A short woman who stood tall with her hands behind her back. Beside her was, of course a garchomp that loomed over them.

The students wondered if it was Cynthia's or the old woman's as it crossed its arms, using its intimidation ability to sink into the humans that sat in the room. "Shishiki!" Immediately the girl raised her hand, unable to look away from the terrifying pokemon. It glared right into her soul. Judging her.

Nothing said good morning like death incarnate staring you in the face. "Now with that, my assistant will be passing out the syllabus for this semester. Garchomp, if you could?" Thud. Thud...the ground shook with each step the land shark took.

His shadow loomed over, his intimidation increased tenfold as he delivered the packet of papers personally to each person there. Shishiki felt her breath hitch when the dragon/ground type extended his claws with the papers for her to take.

Compared to the looks others had been giving, the expression held for her was tame. The coldness in his eyes wasn't prevalent. Did that mean he accepted her? Or that she was less likely to be a troublemaker? She had no clue how to react other then slump onto the top of her desk when it walked away.

In any case...she wouldn't have to worry about anyone causing problems. Her classmates were trembling in their seats. Her eyes scanned over the multiple sheets presented, listening to the older woman.

"So for those of you new, a syllabus is both an information packet for you as well as an informal contract. There are expectations for those I teach and I want everyone aware of what is required to succeed this course." It all looked pretty standard to her.

'In this course you will be learning about the ancient history of the various regions across the globe. We will be studying myths and legends, the important people and pokemon behind them and how that knowledge has affected the modern day.

There will be six books needed for this class, though for those who can't afford or desire to buy them, they will be online for use. I also have many other small reads that will also be available through my course information board.

If there are questions for how to use the course information board, or for questions in general please feel free to use the email information on the top of this packet as well as set up an appointment for after class meetings.

The grading will be based on the following...

10%-homework

20%-tests

15%-quizzes

15%-projects

40%- class participation

Note how class participation is there instead of attendance. I expect my students to be active in my class, discussing instead of just sitting and listening. I expect questions, thoughtful comments, students expressing or noting observations that catch their interest.

Students that don't put in the effort will be struggling. If there is a concern of shyness or not understanding the material, please speak to me, however I will not tolerate a class where silence is prevalent.

In addition to that, you are responsible for your work. Forgetting assignments or not caring to do that will heavily penalize your grade. You are the one who is paying to be here, so the responsibility will be on your shoulders alone.

Down below will be our semester's calendar that will provide information on assignments, topics for class and days off. Note that should there be an unexpected change in plans due to weather or school based events, I will send out a notification.'

Yeah, she didn't see any problems with this class. She was definitely interested in what she was looking at. The books all sounded wonderful from their titles alone. The Tale of Lugia and Ho-Ho. The Three Lake Guardians of Humanity. Tapus' Blessings. War Between Land and Water. Mysteries Behind Mew. And finally Dark Deities Detention.

This was going to be a lot of work, Shishiki could see it as she glanced over their little timeline. Homework every night. Over an hour long discussion over the material, multiple tests and projects across the board. The only thing she didn't see were the quizzes. Something told her that there was a reason they were not listed.

"Alright class. I know there are probably several of you with questions and concerns, but for now hold onto them. Please remove everything but a pencil or pen from your desk. To get to know you as well as give you a taste of my class, I have a little pop quiz for you to take."

She knew it. It wasn't a problem for her however the others didn't feel the same. Immediately she heard people quietly groan to themselves. It probably would've been louder were it not for the fact that Garchomp was still there growling.

Some would probably tough this class out along with her...but she could see her room's rollcall numbers to drop by next week. The elder huffed, still smiling. Her hands were on her hips as she raised an eyebrow. She didn't look offended thankfully, Garchomp was a different matter.

"Now now, calm down now. This isn't really going to be graded, but it will allow me to see what you know and how you think. Two vital pieces of information I require for this class. So feel free to take as much of the class time we have remaining to do this. I want thoughtful answers. Once you're done, you may leave."

Once again papers were delivered by their teacher's personal assistant. This time when it passed by Shishiki, there was no growling or harsh stare to be found. Dare she say she saw the tall shark pokemon smirk at her? She wouldn't read into it right now. She had a quiz to take.

Another day...and still no teleportation pokemon. "Dammit!" Shishiki was not pouting in the middle of the grassy back of the school. She most certainly wasn't sulking over the many, MANY premier balls that littered the area because every ralts, abra and the rare baltoy kept running away.

A sigh left her as she crossed her arms. The student had hoped that with what little free time she had, she could finally get a pokemon she needed. Granted going to the school with a teleporter would still have to happen once in a while, but it would just make life so much easier.

Not having to navigate crowds or worry about scheduling time...it sounded wonderful especially with her already booked time slots. But alas, today was just not her lucky day. And with that, she started picking up her balls.

Of course, with that decision, she felt eyes on her. Which, she supposed wasn't a bad thing or even unwarranted. Normally people didn't pick up pokeballs. Eventually the school janitors and cleaning clubs would handle it-something she learned from both Jordan and the Crimson Carvanas, but she didn't want that.

Not when she could reuse them. "Hey, what are you doing?" Her buneary hopped around, bringing them one by one to her feet. Each opened failure went into her bag, she counted each one she chucked. "Excuse me?" Seven, eight, nine. Shishiki was only missing a few more.

In the bushes, by the big trees that shadowed over the area. Once she collected them, it was back to her homework. Her mental checklist seeming to get longer and longer-at this point she should write them down. "HEY!" The freshman startled from her thoughts, blinking at the couple of students staring at her.

"Yeah?" All of them pursed their lips at her(or rather she thought two of them did.) There were three, each one looking like something out of a gang. "We asked what you were doing! Why bother picking up trash?"

The leader of the trio was a boy wearing a black and white bandana over his head and mouth, leaving just his eyes and dark purple bangs. Behind him was another boy, mirror matching him in all but his hair-which was orange, wearing baggy jeans and a black tank top.

They were weird outfits but not bad-thought that wasn't who the teen was staring at. "You gonna answer or what?" The last of the bundle was a girl that had pink hair, wearing a mini skirt instead of jeans, a ripped gothic blouse and her hair in a fishtail braid.

"Just how rude are you?" The girl stomped her knee length, two inch heeled boot in front of Shishiki, who didn't even flinch. "Wasn't trying to be rude, I was trying to figure out why your outfit looked familiar." The girl paused, blinking in surprise.

It stopped her companions from looking like they were going to erupt too, which was great since she really didn't need anymore headaches. Pro Tag Kun was enough. "My outfit? Wait-you recognize it?!" Their previous curiosity about her ball collecting was forgotten as the girl shuffled closer, her eyes shimmering.

Shishiki tilted her hands left and right. "I'm not famliar with brands stuff, but I thought it looked familiar. Wasn't sure if you were in my class or if I just saw you while rushing through the halls." Immediately her fellow student nods her head.

"Yeah-we share Professor Wes's class! You normally beat everyone and sit in the front." Ahh...that made sense. Despite the school just starting classes, it was hard to forget all that black and white in the sea of colors.

Frankly it looked nice on her, and she made sure to say that. "You mean it? I made this myself and trying to get my name out there!" No wonder she took the compliment well. "Again, not too into fashion but you look pretty." That statement caused two things to happen to Shishiki.

First, it made the female student blush, preening at the praise. The second thing was it got her two hands clamping on each shoulder. "You're alright! What's your name!?" So though she didn't get her pokemon, she could cross off her mother's checklist of giving her new details in her next letter home.

She could already imagine her mom and grandparents chuckling when she tells them how twin brothers, Nikki, Miiki, and their bestie, Angelisa kidnapped her to their dorm, and kept her hostage over both her backstory as well as why she thought it was a great idea to pick up her premier balls despite knowing they were one and done.

To be continued
