Logan waited until Camille fell asleep, then he got out of bed and walked quietly over to his office. There he closed the door, booted up his computer and started working. Finally satisfied with his result, he sent the files to Rocque Records as well as to Kendall, James and Carlos, also asking to meet with him at Rocque Records the next day.

It was four in the morning when he turned off the computer, walked over to his couch and fell into a comatose sleep.

Three hours later, exactly at seven o'clock, the alarm function on his cell phone woke him up. Logan sat up and a blanket fell off his shoulders. He looked at it in surprise, he was sure he had fallen asleep without a blanket or pillow. He guessed it must have been Camille. She probably found him in here and covered him with the blanket. This thought made him smile softly.

Camille was sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee reading a magazine.

"Coffee . . ." Logan barely managed to get out before collapsing into the nearest chair. Camille raised an eyebrow. "Coffee? Oh uh, that's never a good sign." She poured him a cup and placed it in front of him. "Here you go, honey," she said, giving the back of his neck a light kiss. It took Logan two cups before he was halfway awake. When Camille felt he was ready to have a conversation, she asked, "When did you go to your office last night?"

Logan rubbed his eyes. "Shortly after you fell asleep."

"Too bad. 'Cause you know what one advantage is of being back home? You don't have to wake up alone."

Logan nodded. "Yeah, you're right. I'm sorry, I'll make it up to you."

"You don't have to, honey," she replied, coming over to him and sitting down on his lap, wrapping her arms around his neck.

"Thanks for the blanket," Logan murmured, smiling sweetly. Camille stroked his cheek. "You're welcome. Why don't you take the day off?"

"I've thought about it, but I can't, and I don't see any reason to put it off any longer. I've made my decision, just . . ." He was silent for a moment. "I'm just unsure if it's the right one."

"Honey, every decision you make will be the right one in the end. As long as you stand behind it."

"Since when did you become the wiser one in this relationship?" Logan asked with a grin.

"Since always, babe. But I've always been wise enough not to point it out to you."

"Right," Logan said with a yawn, put his head on her shoulder and dozed off for a few minutes. Camille let it happen, gently running her hand through his hair until she heard noises coming from the stairs. She woke Logan up and together they watched, smiling silently, as Phillip staggered groggily into the kitchen in his pajamas.

"Good morning, buddy," Logan said.

"Morning, Daddy," Phillip murmured sleepily.

"Good morning, my angel," Camille said.

"Morning, Mommy." He yawned and rubbed his eyes. Logan smirked. "Three, two, one-"

"Mommy!" Phillip shouted, suddenly wide awake, and stormed towards Camille. Laughing, she rose from Logan's lap, picked up her son and gave him a warm hug.

"Mommy, are you back? Are you really back?"

"Yes, baby, I am. And I missed you so much."

"I missed you too, Mommy."

"I believe you, sweetheart."

"But Daddy missed you the most," Phillip said. Camille looked at Logan with a grin. "Really?"

Logan stuck out his tongue at her but said nothing else.

"What's going on in here?" Mia asked, now also standing in the kitchen, but unlike her brother, she was already dressed for the day.

"Mia, Mommy's back!" Phillip called out to his sister, beaming happily. Camille pulled away from Phillip, went to her daughter and hugged her too.

"It's good that you're back," Mia whispered in her ear. "I don't think they could have lasted much longer without you."

"That's what I thought," Camille murmured back, so quietly that Logan and Phillip couldn't hear. Mia looked at her mother seriously. "How's grandpa Roberts?"

"He's getting better. There's no need to worry anymore."

"So you're not leaving again, Mommy?" Phillip asked. Camille smiled. "At least not for a very, very long time, my angel," she said, and Phillip seemed satisfied with that answer. Logan looked at his watch and stood up. "I have to change and then head out. Can you three manage without me?"

"Are you kidding me? You've had the kids to yourself this whole time, now it's my turn," Camille said with a wink, and Phillip and Mia laughed. Logan raised his eyebrows but said nothing and disappeared upstairs. After getting ready for the day, he went back downstairs, gathered the things he needed, said goodbye to the kids and was walked to the door by Camille.

"Good luck," she said, kissing his cheek. Trying to smile confidently, Logan nodded gratefully and got into his car. Camille watched him drive away, hoping everything would go well.

It was rare for Logan to be late and even rarer for him to be late for a meeting he himself had requested. When he entered the room, the others were already sitting around a table waiting for him. Logan saw the empty chair but decided to stand. Gustavo spoke up, "Logan, how nice, so now that everyone is here . . . what exactly is going on here?"

The others also looked at Logan questioningly.

"I finished the song and-"

"We know that, you sent us the files," Gustavo said grumpily.

"Right," Logan replied, nodding. "But that's not the reason for this meeting . . . I . . . there's something I need to talk to you about, it is very important, and it affects every single person in this room."

"What the hell are you talking about?" Kendall asked in surprise. Logan replayed the conversation with Camille from last night in his head, looked at his friends' faces, and made his final decision. "I'm leaving Big Time Rush."

He waited for the hellfire, the outraged shouts, the yelling . . . nothing happened. They all just looked at him in silence until Gustavo finally said, "Yes, that's what we thought . . ."

Logan was surprised. "Really?"

"It has been pretty . . . obvious lately," Kendall said, and Carlos and James nodded in agreement.

Even though they were all calm, too calm for Logan's sensibilities, he still felt the need to defend himself, to explain himself. "I'm not doing this to harm you. It's just . . . you know I've always had a few more problems with the band than you guys and . . . but now with Camille and the kids, it's just the best time for me and . . . and I certainly don't want to disappoint you, but . . ."

"Logan, honey, it's okay. We understand," Kelly tried to reassure him in a warm voice.

"I'm sorry," Logan whispered and sank down into the empty chair between Kendall and James, burying his head in his hands. "I'm so sorry for letting you guys down, but-"

"Okay, enough of that," James said firmly, standing up and grabbing Logan's shoulders, forcing him to look at him. "Now listen to me carefully, okay? Fine, you may not be the most talented member of the band. Your dancing is terrible, your singing - well, still better than Carlos's singing-"

"Hey . . ." Carlos complained, but James didn't pay attention to him and continued, "And your performance, your charisma and your self-confidence also need a lot of improvement . . . but . . . and I mean that honestly and seriously, now you have a chance to become the best damn doctor in the world. And that's something none of us can do. Or can you seriously imagine one of us as a doctor?"

"Well, actually," Carlos began, but was quickly silenced by Kendall. Now Kelly stood up. "I never thought I'd say this, but James is right, Logan. Well, not in detail, but . . . listen, the last thing we want is to get in your way, you need to follow your calling. And you will make us all very proud, I have absolutely no doubt about that."

"Plus," Kendall said, getting up from his chair as well, "you're not leaving Big Time Rush. You're leaving the band, a band, but not BTR. I mean, as long as the four of us are friends and brothers, we are also Big Time Rush, whether we're in a band or doing other things. And that will never change, BTR will always be united, right?"

"Right!" Carlos exclaimed enthusiastically, jumping up from his chair. "You can do it, Logie. We're counting on you."

Then they all turned to Gustavo, who just looked at them in confusion. "What?"

Logan was incredibly touched by his friends' words, and so endlessly grateful. He managed a small smile. "Thank you, guys. Thank you so, so much."

Camille was lying on the couch in the living room, Phillip was sleeping right next to her. Even though she and Logan had agreed on suitable bedtimes for the kids, she couldn't bring herself to send him to bed. Mia, on the other hand, had gone to bed on her own at her usual time. Phillip had fallen asleep during the movie they were watching and now Camille lay there, looking at her little angel, happy to be back home.

"Should I take him upstairs?"

Camille flinched a little. Even though her original plan had been to wait for Logan to come home, she hadn't noticed him enter the house. She smiled apologetically. "I know we agreed on bedtimes, but . . ."

Logan nodded. "I understand, no problem." He leaned over his sleeping son and lifted him into his arms.

A memory came to Camille's mind. It was the first evening she and baby Phillip were home from the hospital. At some point the baby boy had fallen asleep on Camille's stomach and Camille hadn't dared to move even the slightest bit, let alone put him in his crib because she didn't want to disturb this peaceful sleep. So she had just laid there and watched her cute boy. He was perfect, there was nothing to complain about. However, he seemed much more fragile and sensitive than his sister. Mia had been a bright and happy baby, curious and eager to explore. Phillip was much calmer and more affectionate. And Camille had been worried about whether he would be able to cope in a world like this. For what seemed like hours, she had laid there watching her baby sleep until Logan suddenly appeared and offered to take Phillip upstairs. And it was that moment, the same moment, when Logan held his son in his arms, that Camille felt like she was going to burst with pride and happiness. Seeing baby Phillip in his daddy's arms was the pure moment of perfection for Camille and now she was experiencing it again and just like four years ago, she could hardly put her happiness into words.

Camille lost herself in her thoughts for a while, then Logan returned. She smiled and made a little room for him on the couch. Logan raised his eyebrows. "Hmm, I think I need a little more space."

Camille sighed in a playful way. "Fine, but only for you."

Logan grinned and laid down next to her and she snuggled up against him. "How was it?" she asked quietly.

"Better than I thought."

"So they weren't angry with you or disappointed?"

"No, quite the opposite. I think they already knew that it was only a matter of time before I finally left the band. They kind of . . . expected it."

"So, what's next?"

"They are preparing my break-out and want me to make a personal statement for social media and then again at a press conference. And even though I'm not a big fan of that, I feel like this is the least I can do for our Rushers to make things a little easier for them. Besides, it can only be beneficial for Roque Records and RCM-CBT Globalnet Sanyoid if I leave."

"Don't say that, Logan. They think a lot more of you than you believe, everyone does."

He smiled, nodded and brought her hand to his lips, kissing the back of it. "Of course, I know that. But I also know that it's no secret that I'm not the best singer, dancer or performer."

Camille was about to say something, but Logan continued, "But . . . now I have the chance to become the best of me, and maybe it won't be the easiest way, but it is the right way."

Camille thought about his words, then said mischievously, "Well . . . I never really wanted to say it, but now that you've mentioned it yourself, I have to admit one thing: you're right, your dancing really needs improvement."

"Oh really?" Logan asked, grinning mischievously, tickling her sides. But then his mood suddenly changed, and he looked at Camille with an uncertain expression on his face. "Are we ready for this?"

Camille kissed him. "Yes," she whispered afterwards, "'cause we stick together."

"Always," Logan agreed and kissed her back.
