The gates in the backyard of the school sprung open, revealing immense plains right in front of them.
"I don't get why you want to visit the Wild zone, Mr. Eliot." wondered Judiot, as he took a Pokeball from his bag.
He had finally gotten a clothes change since the day they had first met: he had ditched the windbreaker for a green tank top, probably to take advantage of the last days of summer, and those damned ugly cargo pants for some lightwear, camo shorts. He left the boots behind too, for a more comfortable pair of trainers. The millionaire decided to make the most of the summer too, ditching his formal clothes for something you'd see your grandad wearing at a beach resort: a simple red hawaiian shirt, with a yellow Flabébé pattern printed on the fabric. He opted for a pair of white shorts, revealing his thin and frail looking legs, and a nice pair of sandals. Old fashioned sunglasses covered his eyes, and a brown flat cap shielded his grey hair from the intense sun of the day.
"We're checking it out for safety reasons, aren't we?" joked around the millionaire, as his colleague handed him a Luxury Ball, which he quickly attached to his belt.
"...I feel like that's a lie, Mr. Eliot."
"No lies, remember, we're doing this for the children!" insisted the elder, as he then recieved a Heavy Ball.
"...I see."
Eliot launched the Heavy Ball, and with a flash of light, a Corviknight appeared, opening his armored wings."It seems like Kelvin's PC is working just fine." he commented, as he checked if the Pokémon was whole.
"Looks like it." said Judiot, as a regular Pokeball emerged from the bag. The short haired man threw it, and a Cyclizar appeared, greeting his owner with a friendly roar. "Are you fine, Kona?" asked the trainer, as the Pokémon nodded in response. He took out another four balls, handing them to his boss, before finally closing his bag. Eliot attached them all on his belt, making sure they were stored properly.
"I think we can beg-"
"Mr. Eliot!"
The voice of Yuna erupted from entrance to the cafeteria, as the purple aired woman ran outside, followed by her Chandelure right behind. "What do you think you're doing!?" asked the woman, panting on her knees. "We were searching for you everywhere!"
"We'te going on a little hike, we'll be back in a few hours. As for today, follow Hector's orders." explained and instructed Eliot, handwaving her worries away.
"I can't let you into the Wild zone! It's dangerous without any supervision!" she scolded the duo. While Judiot appeared a bit uneased, Eliot didn't really appear to get what all this fuss was about.
"...It's a few wild Pokémon, it's like taking a walk in the tall grass. Nothing to be worried about." stated Eliot.
"These Pokémon have just been imported, Mr. Eliot. They are still getting used to the new habitat, and may be a tad bit aggressive as a result-" tried to say Eliot, who was quickly cut off by the old man.
"So? Never got chased by some Beedrills? Just fight them!" insisted the old man, before turning around. "We're going."
The guard, however, wasn't having it at all. "It's still dangerous! I'm more than confident in your abilities, Mr. Eliot, however I can't allow you or anyone to be put in danger!" Yuna erupted again.
"You're allowed now. Go help inside, the teachers are setting up their-"
"Let me come with you, at least!" she interrupted him again.
Eliot sighed, defeated.
"Alright, let's go."
The trio waited for the gates to close, just to make sure that no Pokémon tried to sneak its way into the school. As soon as the gates were shut, the group took a few steps forward, into the wilderness. Right outside the gates, Judiot had prepared what pretty much was a parking lot in the grass, outfitted with various bikes and Flying Taxis. The group quickly moved over to the closest cab. The carriage had the base of a galarian one, but was slightly expanded to allow more passengers in. To accommodate for the extra size, a second handle had to be added on the roof. The trio recalled all of their pokemon, except for the Corviknight.
"Will he be enough to carry us all? I can use my Drifblim too if you allow me." asked Yuna, already extracting an Ultraball from her jacket.
"No need to. I'm sure Andre is capable to lift it with no problems." The Corviknight istantly porched on one of the handles, signaling his passengers to get into the Taxi with an imposing screech. The trio opened the doors and took place inside the spacious cab. They had made another modification to the Taxi, besides the carry capacity: the floor was made entirely of tempered glass, allowing to see beneath the cab while it flew.
"...Who's driving?" asked Yuna, as she worriedly looked to the glass. Judiot moved over to the divisor, and ducked down, taking place in the driver's seat. "Me, of course! I worked as a Cabbie for a while back in Galar." He answered.
"...Why are you here now?" the bodyguard asked, as she took place in one of the seats.
"I-I got bored of my job, ok?" the improvised driver explained, a bit flustered. "And still, this place is miles better than being a Cabbie!"
The taxi quickly took off, as the Corviknight lifted it without any issue. Eliot took place besides Yuna, noticing that she promptly closed her eyes as soon as they left the ground. "Scared?" the old man asked, a grin forming on his face. "I-I suffer from dizziness, ok!? Heights aren't a strength of m-mine!" the girl admitted, as she slid her hands under her sunglasses to cover her vision. The grey haired trickster would have loved to tell their driver to do stunts mid-air just for fun, but he felt merciful that morning.
The cab quickly gained height, until they arrived to a few hundred meters of altitude. "The island is pretty big! The Academy only takes a little peninsula in the south, making a kind of safe area for the students where Pokémon are less likely to come." began to explain the Cabbie, as he looked down from his driver seat full of excitement. "We imported an infinity of species here, around 400 different evolutionary lines, plus the few Pokémons that already inhabited the island! This place is around ten times bigger than the Nature Preserve!"
"W-WHAT?" the purple haired guard erupted, "T-the Preserve-e is immense already!"
"I hope the Pokémons are just as strong as there." said Eliot, as he looked at the island from above, deeply amused.
"H-have you been there, M-Mr. Eliot?" the self-blinded Yuna asked. "F-for Arceus' sake, make it wag less!" she cursed the driver as a small gust of wind hit the cab, making it dance a bit.
"Yeah, a lot. If left undisturbed, Pokémon tend to grow quite strong! I hope the same happens here."
The Taxi proceed to fly for a few minutes, uninterrupted. Shinda's geography was relatively simple. The south of the island, where the Shynda Academy resided, was a pretty extensive plains complex. Going a bit north, you'd find that the plains turned into a hill complex. Going North-West you'd have been greeted by the glittering waters of an immense lake, named Downwards Peak. On the North-East, instea, stood a deep forest, the trees shielding any view from above. Going further north revealed the center piece of the island: a mountain, around 600 meters tall, that watched over everything else. At its feet, a complex cave system developed for quite the length underground. Judiot had insisted for it to be sealed, to prevent any student from going missing, but his boss had refused wirhout any explanation.
"I didn't remember snow being on top of the mount!" pointed out Eliot, looking over to the northen white pinnacle."It must have been the Abomasnows and Ninetalese, sir! Maybe some Vanilluxes too! They must have claimed the top from other Pokémons!" tried to reason Judiot.
"...S-so?" asked Yuna.
"I want to check it out!" insisted the old man, almost throwing a fit.
"Alright! Let's go!"
As they flew to the mountain, a flock of Skarmorys approached them, elegantly gliding alongside them in formation to rest a bit. "I love these guys." Eliot praised them, looking at their tranquil flight mesmerized. "When I was a kid, I always wanted one, you know?" Yuna was too scared to even try and open her eyes, as she trembled in her seat. "T-that's great, M-Mr. Eliot. D-did you-"
"ROCK!"
Judiot swiftly made the cab drift left as a massive boulder came flying from the land, hitting a Skarmory adiacent to the Taxi and shooting it out of the sky. "HOLY SHIT! WHAT WAS THAT!?" Yuna shouted, scared by the turbolence. "Something is shooting at us!" the driver quickly informed them. "We're under fire!"
"Ah, that must be the Tinkatons!" thought outloud Eliot, looking down at the glass for any incoming boulders with a smile.
"WHAT!? THERE ARE TINKATONS?" Judiot shouted at his partner, shocked. "WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME!"
"I forgot, Judiot. Forgive my old age, it happens, ha ha!" tried to lighten the mood the old man, failing.
"We'll have to make an emergency landing! We can't risk staying up here any longer!" decreed the driver, as he commanded the Corviknight to dive down as fast as possible, narrowly dodging another few boulders aimed at the flock. Eliot would have smiled wider with all the action, but Yuna's screams of terror were a mood ruiner.
Another batch of rocks was launched from the ground, this time aimed at their wagon. It looked like the Tinkatons were aiming at the bigger target, now.
"Incomi-"
"Andre! Dodge them!"
Eliot's bird took the command, istantly disregarding any instructions from Judiot. He began to execute evasive manouvers, swiftly dodging the new boulders, flying right trough them. "PLEASE GET TO THE GROUND!" pleaded the terrified Yuna, as they were being centrifuged inside the Taxi. The Corviknight began to descend even quicker, his objective to get to the ground as soon as possible.
"Minus 100 meters!" announced Judiot, before shouting "ROCKS!" Another batch was fired, a straight up scattershot of smaller rocks to try and damage the group to force a landing. "We can-" tried to comunicate the driver, before he was pulled inside by his boss. "Hold yourself to something!" the old man instructed, before he shouted to his Pokémon.
"Use Brave Bird!"
The Corviknight suddenly dropped the cab, to gain speed. It flew right past it, nose-diving in the scatter shot using Brave Bird. The Steel bird easily tore a hole in the rocky net, freeing the way for the Taxi to fall trough without any damage. As soon as the rocks were dispersed, Andre caught the handle of the Taxi again, returning to his descent. In around twenty seconds, the group had finally made their descent, landing on top of a hill. The doors of the cab sprung open, and Yuna ran outside, kissing the ground.
"Oh Arceus! Thank you! Thank you!" she pleaded with all of herself. Judiot and Eliot made their way out of the Taxi too, the first a bit dizzy, the second definitely euphoric.
"Ha ha! It was so fun! Let's do it again!"
The Cabbie looked much more pissed, instead. "You should have told me that you imported Tinkatons! First thing they teach you at aviation school! Never use a Corviknight or Skarmory on a Flying Taxi if there are Tinkatons in the area, or you're gonna get shot at!" he scolded the old man, dropping his formal speech towards him by sheer rage.
"Come on, Judiot! It was fun while it lasted!"
"IT WASN'T!" Both his companions said in unison.
The Corviknight, from on top of the cab, screeched to allert his trainer. "What's happening, Andre?"
The bird opened his wing, pointing to one of the closer hills. On top of them, a little pink gremlin holding a gigantic steel hammer was quickly making her way towards them. "Oh, she thinks she managed to shot us down?" wondered Eliot.
"I don't know, but we shouldn't engage-" tried to call off the fight Yuna, but ecstatic millionaire cut her off. "Let's catch her!"
"I don't think it's really necessary now, Mr. Eliot." Judiot tried to turn down his idea, however the grandad had other plans.
He took a Safari ball from his belt and threw it, summoning an old Tauros in front of him. "Let's go, Vespa!" He said, as he jumped on the beast with surprising agility despite his age.
Yuna istantly run up to him, grabbing the Tauros. "Mr. Eliot! What are you doing!" She tried to stop him, but in no time the beast was already charging the wild Pokémon, the purple haired woman holding for dear life to his fur.
"Argh, alright, let's do this!" surrender Judiot, as he threw his own Pokeball, summoning his Cyclizar. "Follow them, Kona!" he ordered the Pokémon, as he got on his back.
The trio began to rush down the hill ready to engage the Tinkaton, who was strolling down the opposite hill at light speed. "Judiot! I want you to catch her!" said Eliot, turning over to his friend.
"What? Why?" he wondered, while he was riding just besides him.
"You don't have many Pokémons! Plus, this little rascal would fit you very well!"
"Mr. Eliot, I don't know if-"
"I thought you liked challenges!"
"Alright, alright! She'll be mine!"
The Tauros and Cyclizar quickly made their way down to the valley, while on the opposite end their opponent had done the same. Inspecting her closer, that Tinkaton was rocking a ponytail, like she was still a Tinkatuff. "Ah, she's got quite the attitude!" Eliot commented, as their Pokémon sprinted towards their target.
"Mr. Eliot!" called Judiot, "I'll try a Quick Ball! Keep her busy!"
The old man nodded, as his mount sped up to catch the Tinkaton's attention. He began to circle the small gremlin, taunting her constantly to keep her focus on him. She sped up to try and catch him, swinging her immense hammer around like it was a plastic bat. Eliot had never looked happier. "Oh, she's amazing!" he commented, full of wonder."No she isn't! She's satanic!" Yuna shouted back, as she finally pulled herself on top of the Tauros too.
She threw an Ultraball, and a flash spawned her Chandelure, who looked around confused for a moment before realizing the situation. "Allow me to help, at least!" she said, as the Chandelure moved over to attract the pink rascal's attention.
Judiot came from behind, riding his Cyclizar at top speed. He threw a single Quick Ball towards the Tinkaton, sensationally missing it. "Dammit!"
"Judiot, get closer!" shouted the old man, "You're never gonna hit her from there!"
The Tinkaton began trying to chase around the Chandelure, without even realizing the Cyclizar-riding trainer had even attempted the catch. She swang her steel hammer around, attempting Gigaton Hammer after Gigaton Hammer. The Ghost Pokémon kept elegantly dodging the swipes, waiting for any kind of command from his trainer. "Please, allow me to attack!" pleaded Yuna to her boss, who refused istantly. "There's no fun in doing that, your Chandelure would win in a single hit!" complained the old man. "Go for it, Judiot!"
The short haired man began to get closer as Eliot pulled away from the Tinkaton, leaving only the Chandelure as a distraction. Judiot readily dismounted his Cyclizar, who quickly stood up right next to his trainer. The little gremlin instantly disengaged the lantern Pokémon, and began to run for the Dragon who had just showed up in front of her.
"Kona! Use Fire Fang!"
The Cyclizar began to trottle for the Tinkaton, his jaw glowing red by the heat that was accumulating inside. The two finally got close enough for a real fight, but Kona's adversary swiftly dodged the bite, answering with a Gigaton Hammer aimed at his head. The lizard took the full hit of the blow, flying a few meters backwards right next to his trainer, as the Tinkaton began laughing histerically. Apparently it found the Dragon pretty funny. "Aww, isn't she cute?" commented Eliot, now watching the fight from on top of his Tauros. "She isn't!" disagreed Yuna.
Kona quickly got back up, as the Fairy goblin quickly made its way towards him for a Play Rough.
"Shed Tail!"
The Cyclizar's tail instantly fell off, from which a second copy of the Pokémon emerged. Both copies ran towards their adversary, ready to try another Fire Fang. The Tinkaton quickly jumped on top of the closest one, surrounding it in a cloud of thick white smoke. Kona istantly made use of the distraction to get closer, waiting for the cloud to dissipate and attack. The smoke disappeared, leaving behind only the pink winner: the real Cyclizar istantly attacked from behind, biting her body with a Fire Fang. Despite the super effective move, it didn't look like the move had dealt that much damage. The Tinkaton still stood, ready to keep on fighting. "Oh! She's a tough one!" applauded Eliot, entertained by the fight. Yuna was just bored, her Chandelure as well.
Eliot took out an Ultraball from his bag, ready to attempt another catch. He had an idea to quickly finish this fight.
"Shed Tail!"
Kona, however, was too tired to shed another time and his move failed. The Tinkaton istantly took notice of the unsuccessful attempt to a second dummy, and rushed the dragon for another Gigaton Hammer. However, Judiot was prepared this time.
"Temper Flare!"
The Cyclizar body bursted into flames, the heat surrounding Kona, as the little Gremlin completely took by surprise by the sudden fire. The Dragon launched itself towards the Fairy Pokémon, hitting it with his flaming body and sending it flying for a few meters. The Tinkaton withstood the hit, somehow, and manage to just barely hang on, limping on her hammer. "Oh, such an unusual move!" shouted Eliot, joyous. "Catch her and finish this so we can go home, please!" pleaded the poor Yuna, already exhausted by this whole ordeal.
Judiot threw the Ultraball with all of his strength, this time hitting the target: the ball fell on the ground after a red flash, sitting limp for a moment.
"One!" the old man shouted, as the Ultralball shaked violently once.
"Two!" continued Yuna, as a second, less powerful shake happened.
"...Three!" finished Judiot, as the ball did a final, weak shake.
Click!
Judiot jumped in the air, his Cyclizar celebrating alongside him. "We did it! Wohoo!" he cheered, happy as a child. Eliot truly was sharing that joy, as his Tauros came up to his friend. "Well done! It was truly a beautiful fight."
Yuna dismounted the Tauros, as she recalled her Chandelure in his Ultraball. "...Are you happy now?" she asked, her voice genuinely exhausted. "We MUST have to go back to the school now, right?"
"I don't know, I was kinda having fun..." Eliot joked, stroking his short beard with his hand. The guard looked at him with a terrified expression, before he laughed. "I'm joking, I'm joking! We can go home. I'm hungry. What is Josuke making for lunch?"
"I don't know, Mr. Eliot." admitted Judiot, who was now spraying a Potion on his Cyclizar.
"I see. Well, I like surprises more."
A screech allerted the trio: Andre had just came to them with their cab. "Please, not again..." complained Yuna, before she began to reluctantly make her way to the doors. She was interruped by Judiot, though. "No no no no, we're not using the cab with a Corviknight! We'll get shot at again! It's a miracle the Taxi got out of this without a single scratch!" he said, scolding the other two for thinking of using it a second time.
"...So you're telling me we need other bird Pokémons?" asked Eliot.
"I guess...?" he admitted, without knowing that he had just made a blunder.
The millionaire looked up, gazing at the sky, towards a flock of Staraptors.
"...Staraptors are fine?" He asked, wondering.
"Yeah, they'd work just fine." confirmed Judiot, before realizing what he had just said.
"WAIT, DON'T DO-"
"Vespa, Hyper Beam!"
The Tauros aimed his head towardas the flock, shooting a powerful Hyper Beam that was easily dodged by the birds. The group of Flying Pokémons quickly changed course towards them, nose diving in their direction. From where they were, it looked like the entire flock was engaging in a group-Brave Bird. Eliot grinned wide, as both Yuna and Judiot looked horrified at the angry crowd that was aiming for them.
"I hope you have some Pokeballs left!"
"GODDAMMIT!"
Hello! I was still inspired to write a bit, so here's another chill chapter.
I can now 100% confirm I won't do any more chapters until the December 1st deadline. Sorry for whoever was interested in Eliot and Judiot goofing around :(
Thank you all for the support the story has been receiving, and see you back after December 1st!
