(Leaving Academy)
Guardian Hathaway and Dimitri arrived at the fountain in the middle of the yard. Rosalie, sitting on the edge with Tin in her lap, looked up with a smile as they approached. The sound of the water flowing from the fountain created a peaceful atmosphere, inviting them to sit and relax for a moment before continuing their journey. Dimitri noticed that Rosalie looked just like she did when she arrived at the Belikov house.
Dimitri noticed the tin was full of cookies that his mother and Yeva had made for Rosalie. He felt a surge of gratitude towards his family for their kindness towards Rosalie. Rosalie picked one of the cookies and took a small bite from the edge of the cookie. Dimitri realized his mother and Yeva would make sugar cookies for Roza. Because the sugar cookies were Roza's favorite.
Guardian Hathaway said, "Rosalie!" Rosalie peered up from her cookie to notice Dimitri and Guardian Hathaway walking closer to her. She put the lid on the tin and placed it in her backpack. Rosalie stood up, putting her backpack on her back.
Guardian Hathaway said, "Are you ready to go?" Rosalie said, "Yes, Guardian Hathaway." "But you are not coming with us?" "You have to stay behind and wait until Queen Tatiana arrives. Plus, you need to call Guardian Petrov at St. Basil Academy." "Guardian Petrov has the file that she got from me about human strigoi."
Rosalie said, "Also, you soon have a new arrival." Guardian Hathaway and Dimitri peered at Rosalie with a questionable look. Izzy, Amber, and Emily are walking around the back side of the fountain. Amber said, "We can feel her." Izzy said, "Soon, she will come to join us here at Heaven Academy." Dimitri and Janine realized that the last sister of Phonex would join them at Heaven Academy.
The old queen Marina and her Guardian Smith walked up behind Guardian Hathaway and Dimitri. Rosalie moved her head, peering at both of them. Dimitri notices the way Rosalie was peering at something that she didn't like. Dimitri turned his head and peered out of the corner of his eye to notice old queen Marina and her Guardian Smith.
The old queen Marina spoke up and said, "Hello everyone." Rosalie smiled as she turned to the old queen and asked, "Good to see you, Queen Marina." "I see that your out taking guardian for a walk again." Queen Marina giggled and said, "Oh! Rosalie, you are so silly." Dimitri chuckled at the playful banter between Rosalie and Queen Marina. He couldn't help but feel grateful for the lighthearted atmosphere among the Guardians.
Guardian Smith knew that Rosalie was making fun of him. He rolled his eyes in mock annoyance before joining in on the laughter. Guardian Hathaway notices Rosalie peered over Amber, shifting her eyes on Izzy, and Emily smiled as Amber was looking at Emily. Janine was trying to figure out what girls were doing. Not realizing they were sending messages to each other. The same way Vasilissa does with Rosamarrie. But each of the girls could send and receive messages from each other.
Rosalie shifted her eyes back on Dimitri and said, "Guardian Belikov, are you ready to leave?" "Time is running out." Guardian Hunter walked up and said, "Rosalie, the team is ready." Rosalie nodded, her eyes flickering with determination as she turned back to Dimitri. "Let's go," she said firmly. Guardian Hunter led the way to the front gates of Heaven Academy, with Rosalie and Dimitri following closely behind.
Before the old queen Marina could ask, What's happening?" Guardian Hathaway said, "Everything is under control, Your Majesty. We are just taking a quick trip to investigate some suspicious activity outside the academy grounds." Marina nodded in understanding, her trust in the guardians unwavering.
Guardian Smith said, "I should go with them." When Guardian Smith flows to the side, hitting the ground a few feet away from the group. Izzy said, "Sorry, Guardian Smith, you are not needed." The old queen Marina and Guardian Hathaway peered surprised when they noticed Izzy used her air magic on Guardian Smith. When Guardian Johnson said, "Izzy!" Emily, Izzy, and Amber giggled.
Queen Marina said, "Good to see you using your magic. Izzy." Emily said, "Can we play with Guardian Smith now?" Queen Marina said, "I don't mind if you do." Guardian Smith knew Amber, Izzy, and Emily were mischievous, but he also knew they meant no harm. He smiled and got up, ready to join in the fun with the three girls.
Amber used her magic to make water move up in the air like a snake from the fountain, causing Guardian Smith to look worried. As Queen Marina, Guardian Hathaway, and Guardian Johnson watched each Emily, Amber, and Izzy using their magic.
Queen Marina chuckled at the antics of the three girls, knowing that despite their mischief, they were still learning and growing in their abilities. Guardian Hathaway and Guardian Johnson exchanged amused glances, grateful for the opportunity to witness the young girls honing their skills.
(Heading to docks)
Dimitri, Rosalie, and the Guardian Hunter are approaching the Heaven Academy's entrance. There would be two male guardians who would accompany them, named Thompson and Pappas. Guardian Thompson struck Rosalie as a tall, burly man in his mid-30s, standing at 6'2" and weighing 157 pounds. He had green eyes and short brown hair. In contrast, Guardian Pappas was a towering, masculine dhampier. 6'4", roughly 150 pounds, blue eyes, and early 20s male bun blonde hair.
Guardian Thompson and Guardian Pappas were known for their exceptional combat skills and unwavering loyalty to the academy. As they approached the gate, Rosalie felt a sense of reassurance knowing that they had such skilled allies by their side.
Dimitri, however, was unaware of these two male Guardians. "Good to see that both join us on the mission," Guardian Hunter remarked. Guardian Pappas and Guardian Thompson extend their gratitude to Guardian Hunter. Meanwhile, Rosalie and Dimitri exchanged a glance, silently acknowledging the strength and experience that the two Guardians brought to their team. As they entered the gate, Rosalie couldn't help but feel a surge of confidence knowing they had such capable allies at their backs.
Dimitri noticed that Guardian Pappas was peering at Rosalie, and Dimitri couldn't help but feel a sense of unease at the intense gaze. However, he trusted Guardian Hunter's judgment and remained focused on the mission ahead. Rosalie tapped her wrist using sign language; that time was running out.
The group proceeded through the gate, ready to face whatever challenges awaited them with their skilled allies at their side. Guardian Hunter led the group down the dirt path that would lead them to dock.
As they walked, Dimitri couldn't shake the feeling of unease about Guardian Pappas' interest in Rosalie. Despite this, he remained confident in their team's abilities and followed Hunter's lead towards the dock, determined to complete their mission successfully. The group's determination and unity only strengthened as they approached their destination, ready to face whatever awaited them with unwavering resolve.
A hour after they had left the safety of Heaven Academy, they traived down a dirt path that would lead them to dock. Rosalie was enjoying the fresh air beyond the academy walls. The rays of the sun came threw canabes, and the wind blow brought different scents from the trees, earth, saltwater, and flowers, reminding her of the beauty and serenity of the island.
Dimitri peered over at Rosalie and noticed the peaceful expression on her face, only to notice that she seemed calm, peaceful, and beautiful in his eyes. He couldn't help but feel a sense of admiration for her strength and determination as they continued their journey towards the unknown. Dimitri remembers they were still an hour away from the dock; he knew that whatever lay ahead, they would face it together with unwavering resolve.
Rosalie is listening to the birds chirping and the wind blowing around them, making Rosalie sense come alive. The guardians didn't realize that Rosalie had all of her senses heightened, allowing her to pick up on subtle changes in the environment.
When Rosalie started to notice the shift of the wind, birds started quieting down, and wild animals started disappearing from her sight. Both Guardians Thompson and Pappas walked behind Guardian Belikov and Rosalie. Both male guardians notice something wrong Rosalie reduced her speed, began to inhale deeply, and started listening to the sound around her.
Rosalie began to turn her head in an attempt to locate the source of the scent. As she focused on her surroundings, Rosalie's instincts told her that danger was near. Guardian Thompson and Guardian Pappas stopped moving and started peering around in hopes they could catch a glimpse of what was causing Rosalie's unease. The tension in the air was palpable as they all waited for whatever threat lurked nearby to reveal itself.
Guardian Hunter and Dimitri kept moving, heading to the dock, not realizing what was happening around them. Guardian Thompson gets on the radio, "Guardian Hunter, Guardian Belikov, return to us immediately." Guardian Thompson whispered urgently into the radio. The seriousness in his voice made Rosalie's heart race even faster, knowing that whatever danger was lurking was now closer than they had anticipated.
Rosalie sensed smell and hearing already kicking in. When she heard movement coming around them, she also picked up a sense of musk, earth, blood, and wet dog. Guardian Pappas whisper, "What is wrong?" Rosalie put her figure to lips. Both Guardian Pappas and Guardian Thompson are to be silent. Rosalie moved her right hand to holdest and removed her silver stake. Guardian Pappas and Guardian Thompson also remove the silver stake from their holders.
Guardian Thompson notices movement nearby treeline shape moving faster than normal. Guardian Hunter and Dimitri spun around to realize that half the team was missing and started running back down the path in hope they could locate them. As Dimitri and Guardian Hunter didn't have travel long around the trees, they notice both guardians and Rosalie hand their silver stake out.
Before Dimitri could call out to Rosalie, she noticed a pair of bright red eyes lower to the ground. Making her realize what was around them. Rosalie said, "PsyHounds!" The team quickly regrouped and prepared to defend themselves against the approaching PsyHounds. Dimitri and Guardian Hunter knew they had to act fast to protect their missing teammates and eliminate the threat.
As the PsyHounds closed in, Dimitri and Guardian Hunter sprang into action, dashing back to the other half of the team. Dimitri said, "Circle around Roza; protect her." Each of the guardians circles Rosalie and takes a defensive stance. Their weapons at the ready, they stood back to back, forming a protective barrier around Rosalie. The PsyHounds snarled and lunged forward, but the team stood firm, ready to face whatever came their way.
Each guardian noticed there were about eight PsyHounds. Rosalie could see that PsyHounds resembled wolves. Only remembering what she told in class and what she read in books. That PsyHounds were afraid of fire and yelled to her team, "Guardians get down." Dimitri turned his head to notice that both Rosalie's hands burst in flames.
The flames engulfed Rosalie's hands, shooting flames at the ground. The fire led out from her and spit off going around them, creating a barrier of fire between the guardians and PsyHounds. Dimtri and three guardians are surprised by the power that Rosalie has. The guardian notices that PsyHounds growls are turning into whimpers as they back away from the blazing inferno.
The team watches in awe as Rosalie's control over the fire seems to be growing stronger with each passing moment. Dimitri realizes that they may have underestimated her abilities, but he is grateful for her incredible skill in protecting them from the PsyHounds. Guardian Hunter, turn back to PsyHounds, start back away, and prepare to launch a counterattack as Rosalie continues to hold the barrier of fire. The team knows they must act quickly before the PsyHounds regroup and launch another assault.
Rosalie said, "I can't hold forever." Dimitri nods in understanding, knowing that time is of the essence. With a determined look, he signals to the team to ready their weapons and make their move before it's too late. Guardian Hunter, Thompson, and Pappas pulled out the firearms and started shooting the PsyHounds before they could leave.
Soon after the first shoot, Rosalie's fire came to a stop, and the sound of the gun made her fearful. Dimitri realized that Rosalie had never been around a gun before or heard the true sound of them. Putting arms around and pulling her to his chest to keep herself. He whispered reassuring words in her ear, promising to keep her safe. Rosalie clung to him tightly, finding comfort in his presence amidst the chaos.
When the last PsyHound was dead or run off. Dimitri gently guided Rosalie away from the scene, making sure she was safe and secure. As they walked away, he continued to comfort her and reassure her that everything would be okay. Rosalie said, "I need my cookies." Dimitri chuckled softly, understanding her need for comfort food in such a stressful situation. He promised to get her some as soon as they were out of danger.
Guardian Hunter walked back to find Rosalie sitting on the ground, still shaken from the ordeal. He kneeled down beside her, offering a reassuring smile and a gentle touch on her shoulder. "You did great back there," he said softly, earning a small smile from Rosalie in return. Dimitri opens Rosalie's backpack, discovering files, a notebook, and a tin of cookies that his mother and Yeva hand made.
Dimitri hands Rosalie the tin. Rosalie opened the tin and removed one of the cookies and started eating it. Guardian Pappas said, "I don't understand how one female dhampier could have so much power." "Is that why you girls eat so damn much?" Guardian Thompson said, "Rosalie is part of the sister of the Phonex. For that reason, Izzy, Amber, Emily, and Rosalie are eating so much because they are rebuilding their strength after using their power."
Rosalie just kept eating her cookie. Dimitri removed Rosalie's water bottle from the side of her backpack and gave it to Rosalie to drink. Rosalie took the water bottle from Dimitri and took a drink. Rosalie then wiped her mouth with the back of her hand and looked up at Dimitri with a grateful smile. Dimitri returned the smile before turning to Guardian Pappas and Guardian Thompson to continue their conversation about the power of female dhampirs.
When Rosalie finished with the second cookie and said, "We need to keep moving to the dock before something else happens." Dimitri helped Rosa up from the ground and put Tin back in her backpack. Then, they all stood up and began walking towards the dock, with Rosalie leading the way. Dimitri kept a close eye on her, making sure she was okay after the unexpected attack earlier.
As they walked, Rosalie noticed Envelope hanging on a tree next to the dirt path. Curious, she approached the envelope and saw her name written on it in elegant cursive. With a puzzled expression, Rosalie opened the envelope and found a mysterious note inside. Soon realizing who it was from, she felt a rush of mixed emotions and uncertainty. Despite her hesitation, Rosalie knew she had to read the contents of the note, realizing it was left to one person.
Dimitri walked behind Rosalie and asked, "What is the envelope? Rosalie handed the letter to Dimitri as he read the note, his expression changing as he did so. The contents of the letter are a single message with the telephone number and A.D. at the bottom. Rosalie said, "Andre Dragomir."
Guardian Hunter, Thompson, and Pappas looked puzzled at the name, while Dimitri and Rosalie exchanged knowing glances. Rosalie explained, "He's an old friend who disappeared years ago." Dimitri realized that Rosalie didn't tell them André Dragomir was strigoi. Thompson asked, "What does he want?" Rosalie replied, "I'm not sure, but I should call the number and find out." Guardian Hunter said, "You have to wait until you get to the main island."
Rosalie put the letter in her pocket and started moving to the docks. As she walked, Rosalie couldn't shake the feeling of unease that had settled in her stomach. She knew that whatever André Dragomir wanted, it couldn't be good. Dimitri followed closely behind her, ready to protect her from any danger that may come their way.
Rosalie's heart raced as she approached the boat that would take her to the main island, unsure of what awaited her on the other side. She hoped that whatever was in store, she and Dimitri would be able to handle it together. The sound of the waves crashing against the shore only added to her apprehension, but Rosalie knew she had to be brave. With a deep breath, she stepped onto the boat, steeling herself for whatever challenges lay ahead.
As the boat began to move, Rosalie felt a mix of excitement and fear swirling inside her. She held Dimitri's hand tightly, finding comfort in his presence as they embarked on this new adventure together. Dimitri turned his head and asked, "Why did you tell them?" Rosalie said, "I can't." "Some secrets are better kept than told." Dimitri could understand her hesitation, but he also knew that facing the truth was the only way to move forward. He squeezed her hand reassuringly, silently promising to stand by her side no matter what.
