Ginny continued to scramble away from the tall figure entering the clearing. She continued to move backward until her back hit a tree and dug into her open wounds. She then scrambled up the tree as fast as she could. She reached a high branch. As she panted, she looked down at the man. He had seemingly crossed the clearing in an instant and gazed up at her. He said something but Ginny missed it entirely as she tried to catch her breath. He continued to talk as she slowly calmed down. Then all of a sudden she was hit by a dizzy spell and toppled off of her perch in the tree. She cried out in pain when she hit the ground and then was breathless. Her vision started spotting and Ginny was senseless to the world until she felt a hand touch her arm

"Little one, what has happened to you? Where are your parents?" the tall figure said. Ginny could not understand him. She desperately blinked her eyes hoping that her eyes would clear more. It helped, a little, she was able to see the figure more easily. He had dark hair similar to Harry's and bright grey eyes. His features were almost prince-like and sharp. He must be quite tall but was currently crouched down and hovering over Ginny.

Ginny sniffed and moved a little away from him to try to get a better view of the surrounding area. The man moved away from her slightly misinterpreting her movement as he was too close to her and he then sat on the ground with his hands in view. "Little one, I will not hurt you. I merely wish to ensure your safety. Where have you come from? There is no human settlements nearby, only orcs and wild beasts roam these parts."

Ginny simply stared at him 'I don't know what he is saying. I must not be in England anymore. I wish I spoke his language but I don't even know what language this is." Ginny shifted her weight onto her bottom and she tried to take pressure off her back. This caused her to rub against the tree which aggravated the wounds on her back.

At her cry, the man lunged forward again and spoke "Oh, little one, you are injured. Please let me see so that I can tend to your wounds." Ginny gasped again. But this time in surprise. She could understand the man but the language he spoke was not English. 'How can I understand him? I don't recognize the words but I know exactly what he said. The man took her gasp as another gasp of pain and quickly slid her away from the tree so that he could properly look at her back. He gasped "Oh little one, your back is in shreds. You must be in so much pain. Please, little one, let me take you to my camp so that I can heal your back."

Ginny slowly uncurled herself and moved closer to him, allowing him to touch her. The man carefully picked her up and cradled her close to his chest. She gazed up at the man….wait 'His ears are quite odd' Ginny thought. It was quite similar to a house elf's ears but the elf looked nothing like a house elf 'Perhaps, he is another type of elf. One that is no longer seen in the magical world. I hope that he is untouched by this war. Too many have suffered from that blasted thing. Ginny slowly felt her eyes fall shut as the elf's voice grew panicked as he practically flew through the forest. The last thing Ginny heard was the elf scream out what she though could be a name. "Elladan!"
