"You know," Kai wheezes, her legs swinging as her claws (she really needed to trim them again) grip the stone wall that she was climbing up, "I don't remember the mountain being this tall!" she she glares at her Uncle Wu, who was father ahead of her, making this look so easy.

He chuckles, looking down at her with amusement in his golden eyes, "The last time you were here, you were five," he reminded her, "Now chop chop!"

Kai rolls her eyes, gritting her teeth as she slowly began to pull herself up over the edge, "How…long is this training going to be? Aren't we in a little bit of a rush since they have the map?" she grunts as she rolls over, panting as she looks up at the blue sky, "Fuck…why couldn't I use the stairs?"

"Patience," Uncle Wu stated, stoking some of his beard. He stared at her, not even offering a helping hand as she slowly pushed herself up, legs and arms shaking in pain. Opening the door of the monastery, he smiles, "You will be ready when you are ready, not a minute sooner,"

Kai shook her head, but she smiles softly at the sight of the place that had been her home when she was young. The courtyard looks the same as it did all those years ago, except for the large crack in the center where her father had fallen. It was mostly empty except for two dragon statues; the smaller one Uncle Wu went over to. Tapping it with his staff, the dragon fell over, revealing a red button. Kai grins as he presses it, watching as the larger dragon statue begins to rise, revealing a wooden bar held high. Underneath it was a punching bag and a spike ball. More quickly, four rotating stadiums with mannequins which were arm to the teeth. Kai quickly took a step back as wooden posts emerged from the floor, and she could help the shimmer of excitement grow in her.

"This is going to teach me Spinjitzu right, Uncle?" Kai asked, throwing her backpack to the ground. Not being able to contain herself, Kai leaps onto one of the posts.

"Oh dear," Kai blinks at him, before the post slowly began to sink, and then shoot her into the air. She cries out as her back slams into the ground, and then her face met the stone floor.

"Ow…" she mutters pathetically, pushing herself up, and blinking in confusion as she spots Uncle Wu sitting on the stairs, tea set beside him.

"Finish the course before I finish my tea," he gently ordered, placing a napkin onto his lap, "then we will see if you are ready," before Kai could react he grabs a cup, pouring tea into it before gulping it down. "Today you failed," Kai's eyes widen at this as he sets the empty cup down, "tomorrow you'll try again,"

"Failed?" Kai exclaims, quickly scrambling up and grimacing as her muscles and back scream in pain, "Uncle I haven't even started!" She jumps as the paper screen doors slam shut.

"Patience," her uncle whispers mysteriously from behind. Kai glowers at the door where her uncle was hiding behind, "also you may choose one of the rooms in the family quarters,"

After that, it went silent. Kai growls, gritting her teeth before she throws her hands in the air and let out a primal scream. It was the pain in her sides that made her stop, looking at her hands as they shimmer with purple flames. Reeling in anger, she shakes them, watching as the purple light dim down as the pain faded away. Frowning, more to herself now, she grabs her bag and walks over to the left hall where the family quarters were. Her hand trails against the dust cover walls, staring at the cobwebs that clung to the light posts on the ceilings, "I guess Uncle Wu was alone all this time too,"

Opening a door, she flicks a switch, revealing a very simple room. A bed in one corner with a sink and mirror across from it. Rubbing her face, Kai sets her bag onto the bed, and pulls the Pokeball from her waist, "Come on out, Salem," the Litten looks up at her as the white light faded from his form, shaking his body.

"Meow!" he leaps onto the bed, scrunching up his face at the dust covering the mattress. It draws out a laugh from Kai, and she pets him, making sure to get behind his ears.

"I know…it looks like this place hasn't been clean in years," she shakes her head, wondering what her Uncle has been doing all these years before she shrugs. It wasn't any of her business anyway…at least she tries to tell herself that, biting her lip. Rummaging through her bag, she pulls out two things. One was the old flip phone that she only had enough money to buy…and an old picture. It was of her, her dad, and Uncle Wu. Though her Uncle Wu was much younger in the picture. He had a hand on her father's shoulder, who was smiling so wide as he held Kai in his lap, who at the time had been three. "He's not dead," Kai whispers, making Salem look at her. She swallows, squeezing her eyes shut, "My dad isn't dead Salem…Uncle Wu didn't kill him,"

For the last fifteen years she had hated her Uncle Wu, blaming him for her father's death. She had saw her father fall, after lightning had struck him…she had saw her father's Hydregion dived down, but neither of the two coming up…it would had made any five year think their father had been killed… and he may not be dead…but he may have changed…"Dad…he kidnapped Nya…" she whispers, setting the frame down onto the bedside table, "Well order the Skulkin to do it but…Nya was kidnap…" her shoulders hunched and she swallows but she was pulled out of her mind when the phone vibrated in her hand. Frowning she opens it, and then pales at the messages.

Wisp: Kai me and Ronin should be there in an hour, if you need more time to finish those swords just tell me.

Wisp: Kailyn, where are you?! We just arrived to see the shop ramsack and the villagers are saying you were attacked by Skulkin!?

Wisp: Kailyn answer me! I was told that you went with some old man!? Have you never heard of stranger danger!?

Wisp: Kailyn Vulgaria Garmadon if you don't answer me this instant I am going to Mistake.

"Shit…full name," Kai whispers, quickly dialing the number. It only rang for a few seconds before it was picked up, "Hi Morro,"

"Kailyn!" a soft growl escapes from the speaker of the phone, "Where in the name of the First Spinjitzu Master are you? And where is Nya!"

"Morro…calm down, I'm fine. I'm at the Monastery," Kai lays down on her bed, "The old man was Uncle Wu," she reassures him, "I did not go with a stranger…and Nya was taken by the Skulkin…"

There were sputters from the speaker, "And why did the Skulkin Army take Nya…why did they even attack,"

"From what Uncle Wu told me, he gave Uncle Ray the nap to where the Golden Weapons were and I guess the army found out it was hidden at the shop…Nya for some reason had been ordered to be taken… Uncle Wu promise me to find a way to get to her and he is teaching me Spinjitzu,"

"Great…just great," Mirror grumbles from the phone, "Do you want me to come? Ronin can give me a ride,"

"No its fine…" Kai gently whispered but touched by his offer, "Only come when you feel comfortable, I know you still feel weird about Uncle Wu," Morro made a grunt of confirmation at this, "I'll be fine, I promise," she gently pets Salem on the back, making the Litten purr as he places his head on her lap, "I have Salem beside me, and even if he is old, Uncle Wu is still at least strong…and even if dad changed…I'm sure he wouldn't harm Nya,"

Morro was silent a bit, "Alright…but keep me inform alright! If anything bad happens, me and Ronin will be there, ready to kick anyone's butt who harms you," Kai laughs at the offer, running her hand through her hair.

"Thanks Morro,"

"Of course…technically you are my baby cousin…" Morro chuckles, "And good luck with the training course. ITs going to make you want to rage quit many times but you going to have to keep at it. Just have patience, you will get it when your ready,"

Turns out Morro was right, Kai would fail the obstacle course many times over the next few days. Everything about it was just pure chaos. Having to dodge mannequins that tried to smack her face in, axes that swing back and forth that removed a few inches of her hair. The wooden posts keep sending her flying into the air.

But each day, she progress further and further…though it caused her many pain.

Getting hit by a mannequin.

"Failed,"

Send tumbling across the wooden posts.

"Failed,"

Getting hit by a spiked mace into a wall.

"Oh so failed,"

Getting hit in the back by the punching bag, and slipping off of it after trying to cling to it as it swings around. Hitting her back against the wall before falling to the ground just as Uncle Wu finished his tea.

"And….failed,"

It wasn't just Kailyn training but Salem too. The fire cat Pokemon had been put under the guidance of her Uncle Wu's Furret. The long body Pokemon was a devious little thing, using sucker punch when Salem tried to scratch her face before hitting him with a straight on Thunderbolt that made Salem flopped to the ground twitching. But the training did help with Salem learning Fire Fang much earlier than he would have.

One day though, Kailyn was determined as she set out onto the courtyard. Furret and Salem sat on each side of Uncle Wu as she leaps onto the training equipment, taking down one mannequin and somersaulting over the poles that would have normerly batted her in the face. A month of going through this course showed the results as she easily got onto the posts that had flown her in the air. Turning her gaze a bit, she saw that Uncle Wu was about to add the sugar in his tea. Growling under her breath she jumps, throwing the wooden sword she held into his hands and forcing him to drop it. Smiling innocently, Kai puts all her focus into the course, Flipping out of the ax's paths, over the waving beams, dodging to the side to avoid the swinging bag and bolas. She throws out her arms in victory she giggles as she watches her Uncle Wu try to find her, still holding the teapot in his hand.

"Was that one sugar, or two, Uncle?" she grins, holding out the bowl of sugar cubes to him. He grunts, shaking his head as he stood up. Kai blinks, watching as he steps inside the monastery, "Uncle? I finished the course, aren't you going to teach me Spinjitzu now?"

"You already have," Uncle Wu smiles, and Kai sees a shimmer of pride in his golden gaze. Furret slip by his legs, leaving Kai and Salem in the courtyard alone as the paper door slam shut with a soft thud. "Your final test comes tomorrow, my advice is to get some sleep,"

Later that night, those words were still ringing in her ears. It made Kai huff, "Oh yeah?" she swung her toothbrush, as if it was a sword. A fond memory of her dad doing the same, to get her to brush her teeth ran through her mind and she couldn't help but laugh as she dances around. Imagining bashing skulkin skulls and throwing them in the air with spinjitzu to free Nya. She was so absorbed that she didn't notice the three clothed people dropping into the room from the ceiling. Not until she came face to face with the one holding a scythe, her red eyes meeting bright orange eyes.

She backs up a bit, but notices in time that the man, at least she thought they were a man, was not the only one. She was in fact surrounded by two others, one holding nunchucks in his hand, the other shurikens. She didn't have time to get a good look at them, as they move forward to strike.

With no weapon in her hands, except for the toothbrush, she did the only thing she could do. Shove it into the mouth of the one who held the shuriken and ducking down when he spits it out. It a very comedic way, it hits the face of her nunchucks wielding foe, bouncing off of him and falling into the back of the scythe wielder. The little bit of chaos allowed Kai to slip up the rafters, whistling for Salem to follow. The three turn, just for the scythe boy to cry out as Salem leaps onto his face, to jump further up to join Kai in the rafters. Kai's nose twitches when she scent the copper scent of blood but she paid no mind of it, running across the wooden poles as soon as Salem climbed up her shoulder.

But she was stopped in her tracks as the shuriken leap in front of her and tried to strike at her with a flying kick. But Kai sidestepped out of the way, both her and Salem watching as he falls to the ground hard. She giggles, but it allows the scythe boy to grab her by the collar of long t-shirt. Her eyes widen as he lifts her up and throws her, making her crash through the ceiling easily. Salem mews as he falls off her shoulder, rolling towards the small dragon statue. Both Salem and Kai looked up as the three charged out of the monastery and straight at her.

Hissing, Salem pushes the red button underneath the dragon statue, starting up the course. Kai grins evilly as one was struck down by a mannequin, the other struck in the face by one of the spike maces. Leaping up, Kai latches onto one of the punching bags, hitching a ride towards the scythe boy. Leaping off, she tackles him to the ground, throwing a punch to the face. Grunting though as a leg kicks at her side, Kai turns to the nunchuck wielding one. He let out a shrill scream as Kai curls her lips, showing her sharp fangs as her eyes glowed, and with a shimmer of purple light, a black scaled tail formed behind her, whipping back and forth in her rage and aggravation.

With a snarl she leaps at him, claws poise to scratch as his eyes. But the shuriken one tackles her to the side, gripping her tightly down to pin her. But he cries out, as Kai slams her face into his, before bringing her legs up, the feet now black were more like paws of a Persian, which were all but stomp in his belly, blowing the air out of his lungs and forcing him to the ground. He looks up, light blue eyes widening in fear as Kai stands over him, flames flickering in her mouth to…

"Enough!" Snapping her jaws shut, Kai pants through her nose, her head snapping up to see Uncle Wu stepping out into the night. His golden eyes blinked a bit at the sight of her. Holding back the urge to whimper, she steps off the shuriken wielding intruder. The other two step forward helping him up.

"You didn't tell me you awaken your oni size," Wu gently observed and Kai shrugs, "you been here for a month Kailyn,"

"And you haven't been in my life for the last fifteen years Uncle Wu," Kai reminded him, making him grimace, "I awaken my Oni side when I was eleven…" she huffs, puffing out some smoke, "a year after Uncle Ray and Aunt Maya vanish,"

"And the reason why you haven't shown your tail? Or legs?" Uncle Wu asked, raising an eyebrow while Furret crawls onto his shoulder, "why it is ok for your father and I to not show are more… non human features is because we have both matured. For someone young as you, it will be ill advise to hide them away,"

Kai rolls her eyes, "unless I want to be run out of Ignacia then it's best I do hide them,"

Uncle Wu sighs at this, but he turns his attention to the one wielding the scythe as he steps up, "Sense? What is going on? Who is this?"

"And why is she calling you Uncle?!" The nunchuck intruder screams out, waving said nunchucks.

"This is my niece, Kailyn Garmadon. She will be joining the team?"

"What?!" Squealer squeals again, "Lord Garmadon had a kid?" She smirks a bit, eyeing him with a raised eyebrow, "and you never mention a fourth! It's always been three! Three blind Pikachu! The Three Musketeers Three-"

Scythe boy sighs, "What he is trying to say, Sensei Wu. Is that the three of us have trained together," he brings his hands together, "we're solid,"

Kai scoffs, "Didn't look so solid to me," she grins up at him, making him glare at her.

Uncle Wu shakes his head, "all four of you, follow me,"

Turning her gaze to the other three, she scooped up Salem, who hisses over her shoulder before following her Uncle Wu inside. Her ears twitched at the sound of footsteps behind her, signifying that the other three were behind her. Uncle Wu turned around as they stepped into his office, were a small table stood beside him. It held four clothing articles of red, black, blue and white, with three Pokeballs.

"Master," Kai blinks at the soft and gentle voice coming from the shuriken boy. Though a part of her was glad she didn't hear a tremble of fear in him from their fight, "what is the meaning of this?"

"Each of you have been chosen. Each in tune with elemental properties," he gently grabs the red pieces of clothing, and steps towards Kai, "Kailyn Garmadon, Master of Fire and Destruction," smiling gently at her, he passes them to her. Kai frowning as she tries to not dislodge Salem, "it burns brightly in you… but do not fear the darkness in you," red eyes meets golden, "just because you seep more into it, does not make you a monster,"

Kai swallows, but doesn't say anything as she steps back. Salem looks up at her before he leans forward, nuzzling his cheek against hers while purring softly. Uncle Wu then grabs the blue pieces of clothing, and the Pokeball that was sitting on top of it. "Jay Walker is blue. Master of Lightning,"

Jay smiles, pushing down the hood of his gi. Kai couldn't help but blink for he looked about the same age as Nya, who was fifteen. On top of his head was a bunch of wild curls of ginger while his face was painted with freckles. His yellow eyes lit up, "That's not all I'm the Master of. I do a little bit of inventing; I dabble in model building. Touch of cooking, little of poetry,"

"More like mouth of Lightning," Scythe boy complains, "come on Jay! Release your Pokémon!"

"Oh right!" Jay snatches the ball out of Uncle Wu's hands and presses the release button. In a flash of white light, a small blue and black fur cat appears in front of them. It brings its head up for a big yawn, showing it's small but rather sharp teeth. Shaking its head, it blinks up at Jay before mewing, tilting its head at the teenager, "oh my Arceus! A Shinx!" He lifts Shinx up and looks to its back paws, "pure black paws, you are a little guy,"

The Shinx blinks his yellow eyes before blue sparks dance off his pelt. Eyes widening, Kai quickly backs away, the other two blinking before scythe boy takes a step back. But then quickly grabs the shuriken boy and pulls him back just as the Shinx let out a thundershock. Jay cries out, his body spasming in pain before he falls to the ground, his curly hair frizz out and slightly smoking.

"Quite shocking isn't he?" Uncle Wu chuckles before turning to the scythe boy, holding out the only pieces of clothing that were still black.

"I'm still black?" he mutters, taking his hood off. Kai couldn't help the blush that form on her face. She was twenty years old and she knows a cute boy when she sees one. His skin was quite dark, almost like if the sun had given him a hug, which must have been a big hug since he was so stocky. A mop of black hair framed his face, and his orange eyes looked at the clothing in curiosity.

"Black ninja is Cole Brookstone. Solid as rock, master of Earth,"

"Wait…" Kai blinks staring at Cole, "Master of Earth?" she turns to Uncle Wu, "You mean Lilly?" she turns to Cole who stared at her with wide eyes and then she kicks his shin, "That was for pulling my hair all those years ago!"

"Pulling your…wait a minute!" Cole looks startled, pointing at her, "You're that girl who threw mud at my face!"

"Wait..wait wait!" Jay sat up, shaking his head, "You two know each other?!"

Kai shakes her head, "Not really…but my Uncle Ray and Aunt Maya knew his mom…they fought in the Serpentine War with the other Elemental Masters. So, when she got sick, they brought me along with them on one of their visits to her…" she trails off as the other three stared at her in confusion, before she snaps her head to Uncle Wu, "You didn't tell them?!"

"Because there are somethings, I didn't want them to know,"

But Kai growls, "This is their heritage! Grandfather may had died long before I was born but I know that he would want the descendants of his first guardians...his first friends to know the truth,"

Uncle Wu sighs, closing his eyes before gesturing for Cole to reveal his partner. Cole looks between Kai and him before he presses the release button. They all watched as the as the white light forms into a small purple creature, one that Kai recognized as a male Nidoran. His large spiny ears twitched nervously, as he keeps his red gaze onto Cole as the other kneels down, holding out his hand.

"Hi there Nidoran," Cole gently whispers, allowing the timid creature to sniff at his hand, "It's great to see you…I think we are going to become good friends…only if you wish to," The Nidoran looks up at him, before stepping forward and butted his head against Cole's legs making him laugh. Being careful of the barbed spikes that were filled with poison along his back, Cole gently scratches at Nidoran's neck, which earned him a nice rumble from the rather small creature. Cole looks up at Kai, a bright smile on his face, "Nice to meet you kid. I got your back. And for the record, there ain't nothing in this world that I'm afraid of,"

"Except for dragons," the last one stated, as he was handed a white gi by Uncle Wu.

Cole frowns, a disgruntled look on his face, "Dragons aren't from this world Zane," he mutters, and Kai looks to her Uncle with a raised eyebrow. All her uncle did was smirk and gave her a silent wink. She rolled her eyes but turns her attention back to Cole, "I said in this world and you will be scared of dragons too if a Hydregion almost attacked your town," he shivers, crossing his arms over his chest, "If it hadn't been for some passing trainers my whole town would have been destroyed!"

"Dad has a hydregion," Kai mentions, and she grins as Cole pales and squeaks, staring at her with wide eyes.

"And white ninja!" Uncle Wu spoke, very loudly, "Is Zane Julian. Master of Ice and Seer of Sixth Sense," Kai watches as he shows of his shuriken handling before making them vanish.

"I sense this one takes things a little too seriously," Kai whispers to Cole softly, but Zane turns to her, his light blue eyes wide.

"You too have the gift?" he asked in awe, pushing his hood down. Kai couldn;t answer because of how shock she was. She was pale, she knew it because of her Oni blood and the bit of venom that ran through her veins. But Zane took the cake, and she couldn't help but wonder if he was fully human or not. His white hair was sticking up, almost as bad as Kai's was if she didn't have it in a ponytail.

Jay sighs, holding his shinx in his arms while trying to fix his hair, "She was just making a joke Zane. Remember what we were talking about? Your sense of humor?"

Zane's blue eyes lit up, "Yes. It was a joke. Haha" he stares at the pokeball he held in the palm of his hand before lobbing it into the air. The two halves snapped open, releasing a bright white light just as the other two. But this one formed into a chubby, spherical seal with plushy fur that was light blue. Its short flat tail was slapping at the ground in joy as it stared up at Zane with two black beady eyes.

Zane's smile was soft, and looked actually real, "Hello my friend," he marveled at the Spheal, "I hope that we can work together," he chuckles as the Spheal flaps its flippers together, crying out in joy.

"You four are the chosen ones," all four looked to Uncle Wu, quickly standing together as they pay attention, "who will protect the four weapons of spinjitzu from Lord Garmadon,"

"But what about my sister?!" Kai growls, and Salem hisses in agreement.

"We're saving a girl?" Jay gasps in joy, leaning closer to Kai, "Is she hot?"

"Jay!" Cole scolded him, glaring at him while eyeing Kai nervously as the girl growls, looking like she wanted to rip Jay's throat out.

"I just wanted to know what we're getting into!" Jay argues, before he looks at Kai, "Does she like blue?"

"Back off," Jay does so, as fire sparks off of Kai's hands, the older woman looking like she was about to rip his head off.

"When we find the weapons. We will find your sister," Uncle We reassures Kai. Red eyes and Golden eyes stare at each other before Kai nods her head, "It is time, we must go to the first weapon,"

"Woah hold on a minute," Cole speaks up, Nidoran hiding behind his legs, "You said you were going to teach us spinjitzu!"

"Spinjitzu is inside each and everyone of you," this made Kai frown, and turned to the other in confusion. Jay shrugs, not really getting it himself, "It will only be open, when the key is ready to be found," he lectures before throwing his hands in the air, "Come! My feet are tired. We will take the horse carriage,"

"Great," Jay moans, shoulders slumping, "Now we have to find a key?"

"Yeah," Cole mumbles, rubbing the back of his head, "I feel he is taking us for a ride,"

Kai snorts, grabbing her sword, and gripping onto the red gi tightly in her arms. Salem followed beside her, "If it means finding my sister? Then sign me up," and with that, Kai left to change, to step into the path that will change her life.

Kai being Garmadon's daughter and such knows the history of her family and the Elemental Masters and how some people gain elemental powers...are saying no secrets! In this universe the ninja shall know much earlier! Because while I know that in life they were pulling lore out of their ass which each new season, I have all the seasons out there and already know! So now they will know as well.

Also Kai has shown her oni features. and a little hint to the fact that Wu and Garmadon are not human. Kai and Lloyd are half humans, but Wu and Garmadon in my option are not. They are dragon-Oni hybrids just as the FSM. Also yes Kai is the master of two elements, not one, though as of right now she is going to be focusing more on her fire element because of the incident when she awaken her oni side.

And yes, you saw it! Morro is alive! Because he deserves better! and also he is showing up much sooner, but as of right now its just texts between him and Kai.
