Chapter 46

Galadriel was being cautious, ensuring that no one saw her. It wasn't too hard for her since she possessed the ability to make herself unseen with ease. However, she couldn't help but feel a pang of regret as she heard the sounds of the ongoing battle. Perhaps she should have stayed behind and witnessed the unfolding events. Nevertheless, Galadriel had a duty to fulfil and a part to play, and to be honest. She was confident that she would find her own enjoyment in due time.

Furthermore, her presence wasn't intended for a confrontation. Instead, Galadriel aimed to ease the burden on the police department, which she considered both incompetent and conceited, while also enhancing her own image in their eyes. The Nazarick family would, in the future, control all of it. She would change things, of course, but so far, she wanted to look like the "good hero"—the one who actually cares for them, not that it was true at all. Galadriel could not care at all about those fools, but she had an act to keep up, for now.

"This place is like a maze," Galadriel mumbled to herself, navigating the endless and twisted hallways of the underground base.

Before long, everything started trembling once more. The peculiar earthquakes grew increasingly intense, resembling the tantrums of an unruly child. It was a fact that Galadriel was well aware of, and it was at this very moment that something occurred, halting the place from transforming further. Suddenly, a piercing shriek and a furious scream reverberated through the surroundings.

"What happened?" Galadriel whispered as the hallways went back to normal. "Mm, I guess the yakuza responsible for this was stopped quite quickly."

Galadriel, feeling bored and restless, started to stroll aimlessly, not encountering anyone. She knew she had no choice but to wait for her signal to act finally. Suddenly, a message reached her ears, causing her to let out a deep sigh before responding.

"{Yes, what is it?}" Galadriel asked.

"{My lady, one of the kids, is quickly approaching the small girl.}"

Galadriel now became alarmed about it since, after all, she was the one who was supposed to find Eri, the girl, and make herself into her guardian and idol.

"{We can't have that. How close is he?}" Galadriel asked.

"{Very close…}"

Solution's voice exuded a calm and collected demeanour, almost as if she stood just a few steps away from the young hero. And in a way, it was true. Galadriel couldn't help but sigh, fully aware that if she wasn't cautious, Solution would resort to doing something harmful to the kids, all in an effort to impede their progress.

Galadriel could not have that.

"{I understand... so it seems we're left with no other options. Is there any way we can temporarily restrain him without causing too much harm? I believe Mirio is the one who's closest to reaching Eri. He's incredibly intelligent. Follow him and keep me updated}"

"{I could do that without a problem, my lady. I can take his stamina or perhaps… stun him slightly. A few bruises would not kill him.}"

Galadriel rolled her eyes, but she was thankful that Solution understood what she meant, even if Pleiade was quite cold and cruel about it.

"{Just don't maim him, Solution.}"

"{Understood, my lady.}"

Galadriel took a deep breath, knowing that Mirio was quite focused and determination to save Eri, perhaps even more than her.

"That Quirk of his can be quite useful when infiltrating into places… and he is very good at using it," Galadriel mumbled slightly.

Galadriel should have anticipated that Mirio would discover a shortcut to locate Eri. It was undoubtedly her mistake; Galadriel underestimated Mirio's determination to act as a hero. Maybe that's why she is somewhat fond of him. He possessed a kind-hearted nature reminiscent of Midoriya. But he wasn't truly like her dear lettuce-haired little friend.

Midoriya's innocence was easily influenced by the events happening around him. On the other hand, based on what Galadriel observed, Mirio was the kind of hero who couldn't be easily corrupted. That's why she appreciated Midoriya's innocence and his unwavering belief in being a hero and doing good. Although Midoriya was undeniably stubborn, he could be easily swayed. He just needed the right nudge, unlike Mirio, who would never let anything change his perspectives.

I don't want to kill you in the future, Mirio. I cannot have you as the hero in this story. But Midoriya… what would happen if you have nothing? Now, that's quite the prospect to invest in. Galadriel thought before deciding that it was time for her to move.

"{Mirio has located the girl, but it seems that the yakuza were ready for him. He is currently engaged in a fight with one of them. I could orchestrate it to appear as though this Yakuza has overcome him.}"

Galadriel sighed in relief before she took an item from her inventory. "{Do it, Solution… but don't hurt him too much. I'll try to save him… it will make me look definitely cooler as well. Do we have everything we need from their labs?}"

"{Yes, also, I have discovered that Kai Chisaki has a form of modified serum with him… a more permanent solution for his problems.}"

"{Oh? It appears he put a lot of effort into this… well, I guess you know what to do. Tell Lupusregina and Narberal to begin the operation. As well, keep Demiurge and Albedo informed about your findings.}"

Galadriel's satisfaction was evident as she finally had the chance to venture out and take action. However, she found herself contemplating what to do with Kai Chisaki. Although he displayed impressive intellect, Galadriel couldn't help but realise that he was a highly troublesome individual, unlikely to survive for long. It was regrettable, as he seemed like the perfect pawn, someone who could be of great value. With these thoughts in mind, Galadriel activated the item in her hand and instantly teleported away.

It was time to bring up the Angel of Justice once again.

Deep within the secret base of Shie Hassaikai, Midoriya could hear a powerful scream of rage reverberating through the walls. With a sense of urgency, he started scanning the constantly shifting walls, determined to locate the Yakuza responsible for constructing this unsettling rock labyrinth. Then, he saw it, clearly embedded into the walls, a bulge of some kind, with a clear face.

"I've found you!" Midoriya yelled, channelling his quirk to enhance his speed and strength. "One for All… Full Cowling! Smash…!"

In a swift motion, Midoriya swiftly dismantled the Yakuza's defences, leaving him vulnerable to his own rage. Aizawa acted swiftly, neutralising his Quirk and granting Nighteye the opportunity to render him almost unconscious. The Yakuza could only emit a pained groan as he collapsed to the ground. However, the mischievous and taunting expressions of Regina, Towa and Twice made it clear to everyone who was to blame for his mental downfall.

"See you later, alligator!" Regina exclaimed as Towa defiantly displayed her little middle finger. They swiftly vanished behind a sturdy rock wall, a remnant from the Yakuza's previous outburst. Yet, this single act made it abundantly clear to the heroes that any alliance had dissolved. Not that there was any to begin with.

The yakuza groaned on the ground, feeling the entire pain of being hit by not only Midoriya but Nighteye. Yet, what truly angered him the most was not that but the traitors. With the strength he had left, he could only scream the name of those who made him fail his mission.

"Toga…! Twice…! Regina…!" the yakuza yelled as he was being apprehended. "Those traitors…!"

"They are here…" Midoriya whispered, as he was surprised to see both the Yakuza and the villain league working together, but from what he could see, that was no longer the case.

"An alliance between both groups was always meant to fail," Nighteye muttered. "I don't need my Quirk to know that."

"But that means they are here…" Midoriya whispered and shuddered at the thought of Regina being there, not after the last time he saw her.

"Where are the other members of the villain league members?" Sir Nighteye asked, causing the yakuza to completely lose it without a second thought.

"Hell, if I know..! I'll definitely find them all and break their skulls!"

"It appears that we will need to be careful with our steps now," Sir Nighteye said before looking at his companion. "Rock, how are you feeling?"

Rock let out a growl as he leaned against the wall. The wound Toga inflicted on him wasn't life-threatening, but it had certainly taken him out of the fight. Despite his anger, Rock understood that he couldn't be the cause of their delay. Thankfully, since the walls began to morph back to normal, the rest of the police department was quickly approaching their position, but with that also came the realisation that all the rest of the heroes who weren't there may not do so.

"Nighteye, forget about me!" Rock exclaimed. "Our priority now is to keep moving forward. The police department can handle the villain league. Our focus should be on Shie Hassaikai. Don't forget that the rest of us are also putting our lives at risk!"

Midoriya glanced at Sir Nighteye and Aizawa, the realisation dawning on him that if the others hadn't arrived yet, they might have sustained injuries in their encounters with the Yakuza, especially considering the presence of the villain league. This situation had the potential to cause problems in the near future. However, as Rock had pointed out, their team had a mission to fulfil.

"He is right; we must move fast," Sir Nighteye said as he glanced at Aizawa and Midoriya. "Let's go!"

They wasted no time leaving the scene, leaving behind Rock and the rest. However, none of them noticed a few shadows lurking in the corners, watching, sensing, and hearing it all. Each of them told a certain girl what was happening. In this case, Regina was watching the group go while hiding herself from them with her abilities.

"Mm, I see," Regina whispered before sensing a message coming in. "{Yes, here, beautiful Regina talking, the number one villain in the world~!}"

"{You appear to be quite happy, Lupusregina,}" the voice of Solution made Lupusregina giggle a bit.

"{Yes, this is a fun job to do!}" Lupusregina replied happily.

"{Well, it appears you'll have more fun soon. Our lady wants Narberal and you to begin the operation.}"

Lupusregina smiled brightly while hearing that. "{I've been waiting for this moment, for such a long time…!}"

Solution could be heard chuckling on the other side of the [Message]; in fact, it even sounded as if she were a bit jealous of her.

"{Have fun, you two… we cannot waste more time. Also, make sure those… humans who are with you don't bother our lady.}"

"{Don't worry, sister, they are not that useless,}" Lupusregina replied, earning a hum from Solution.

"{It appears that you have grown fond of them.}"

Lupusregina found herself humming as she reminisced about them. Honestly, she found them quite amusing and even somewhat endearing, up to a certain extent. She now understood why her lady referred to the students as "entertaining pets." Those villains brought her immense joy and filled her time with playful moments. Although it would make her a little sad, she wouldn't hesitate to eliminate them all if her lady commanded it. It was more of a reluctance to kill them too quickly, as they were simply too enjoyable to let go of.

"{I haven't… but they are amusing, and I'll love to see their faces once everything clears out. Oh~! Their expression would be so joyful!}" Lupusregina moaned slightly.

"{We shall see. In anycase, don't waste too much time… they are getting closer to our lady.}"

"{Okay~!}"

Lupusregina smiled before vanishing from that place. She had a job to do and one that she'd enjoy greatly.

Author's Note.
