Note: To clarify, Evelyn is the name I gave to the playable (female) character (I believe the default name is Christine?)! As you all know, I'm a rebel...I don't follow the rules! I don't use default names! Never have and never will!

It was heartbreaking for me…she grew up way too fast! Then again, I did too, in a way.
My beloved Evelyn was getting married soon. Her fiancé was a kindhearted and strong man, many people used to be intimidated by him because he was the leader of the village he lived in, but Evelyn saw that he wasn't, he was just trying to be a good leader and wasn't wanting the other villagers to worry.
I pulled out a portrait of a young woman from a nearby drawer. Evelyn resembled the woman deeply, minus the eye color. The woman in the portrait had deep violet eyes, while Evelyn's eyes were a dark gray color. Just like…
The sound of a knock broke me from my trance as I tossed the portrait back into the drawer, shutting it quickly.
"It's open." I announced. Evelyn's fiancé took a step into my house.
"Westley? What can I do for you?" I asked as the orchard farmer village leader's cheeks flushed a deep red color.
"Sorry to intrude, Doc. I wanted to make sure that there wasn't going to be any hard feelings between us." I furrowed my brows at Westley's comment.
"Why would there be any hard feelings? Just take excellent care of Evelyn!" I exclaimed, Westley's face held a look of awkwardness as his eyes drifted down.
"You two have been close friends for years, right? Evelyn told me that you two have been there for each other since you were babies." My eyes widened as I understood Westley's comment.
"Westley, are you free to talk right now? If not, we'll have to make a point to talk later today, but…even so, I want you to know about mine and Evelyn's relationship."
"I'm free now." I motioned towards a chair as Westley took a seat. I inhaled deeply.
"Before I begin my story; you have to promise me that you won't tell Evelyn what I'm about to tell you!" Westley thought for a moment before nodding.
"Your secret is safe with me, Doc." He replied as I smiled.
"As you know, I'm an amazing inventor! Nothing is impossible! Except for one thing. There was a woman whom I was…close with named Florentia. She was beautiful, kind, loving, and so much more. And just like Evelyn, Florentia was a very skilled farmer. Her favorite sheep was getting old and was on the brink of death. I knew Florentia loved that sheep so…I invented something that could turn back time for any animal. I was going to use my invention to make her beloved sheep a lamb again. The invention backfired."
"What happened?" Westley asked as my face flushed.
"The invention hit me instead of the sheep." I admitted, Westley's eyes widened.
"But…I don't understand. What did it do to you?"
"The Infantizer-3000 turned me into a toddler. It was embarrassing, but…I was never able to fix my mistake."
"Wait, but you're an amazing inventor! Why couldn't you fix your mistake?"
"You don't think I tried? I tried everything to go back to how I was…but…days turned into years and Evelyn was growing up to the point she knew me as a child and not…who I really am to her." I saw my vision blurring.
"Whenever you and Evelyn have kids, you'll understand my sacrifice." My lips curled into a sorrowful smile.
"Even if it means that your own daughter will never know who you truly are." It was silent for a moment.
"Does…anyone else know the story?" Westley asked as I nodded my head.
"Mathis, Selena, and Eugene. But, they were kind of there when it all happened. And…they've respected mine and Florentia's wishes of not telling Evelyn."
"I think you should let her know." Westley said as I felt my face heat up.
"B-but I don't think she'll ever forgive me! She-!"
"It's not like you abandoned her. You've always been there for her but in a different way." Westley looked at me with a sincere smile.
"It will be a shock to her at first, but…you're her father and she'll understand your sacrifice because she knows that you love her."
It was silent for a moment as I processed what Westley said to me. I inhaled deeply, bringing out my Docpad. The ringing tone from the line buzzed twice before Evelyn's face appeared.
"Doc? What's wrong? It's not like you to call me out of the blue." I smiled at her. She looked so much like Florentia. Minus her dark gray eyes. The dark gray eyes that she had inherited from me.
"Evelyn, I…I need to talk to you about something important."
Note: I know that Doc Jr. isn't a marriage candidate, so I made this theory that he's the main protagonist's father. It makes a lot of sense considering in the game he protects you similar to how a parent protects their child (at least in my perspective it seems that's how he acts).
