Unknown Region of an Interdimensional Vector…
The voice… It speaks so clearly, and with such power. Such strength. The booming and powerful voice of authority and rulership. The words that he heeded.
"Against all the evil that Hell can conjure. All the Wickedness that mankind can produce, We will send onto them… Only you," The voice of authority and supremacy spoke. He heard the words, he listened, he focused on each phrase spoken through this powerful voice.
"Rip… and Tear, until it is done," The voice said once more. That was when the urge arose, the violent rage. The anger, the determination, the spite, all of it began to fuel into a fiery and amassing flame. A flame that could not be put out… Not until it was done.
Rip…
And…
Tear…
Earth… City Z…
In a small and quiet region of City Z, in an even smaller alleyway, there was a young man. Wearing a black formal suit of very professional vibes. He held a briefcase in his right hand. This man had extremely handsome features, accommodated with a very striking v-shaped chin, black hair, and cold lifeless, brown eyes. He stood at around 5' 9" in full height with a quite ectomorph build. Meaning that he was rather thin for an average individual. And as of right now, this man was currently standing in the face of danger, with no more than a discouraging expression. Not expressing any sort of fear or anger… Just plain boredom and neutrality.
What was this danger you ask? Well, it came in the form of a Half Crab, Half Monster entity. A Crab-like upper body covered in red scales; two eyestalks that sprouted from his head; two elliptical eyes with tiny pupils; and two red carapaces that served as hands. His lower body is that of a male human, with two muscular legs.
"HEEYY GIGIGIGIGI!" The half man, half crab entity shouted out some weird taunt and call that made several citizens flee, calling out that there was a monster as they fled for safety.
However, all but one fled. That one, was the individual with just a straight bored expression.
The Entity crab monster came right up to the young man, towering above him at a whopping 8' 2".
"What's this? Are you sure you don't wanna run away! GIGIGIGI!" The Crab Entity said, almost as a taunt, he held up his clawed arm. Putting it above his head like a gesture of some kind. But, the man simply stood with absolutely no fear. He merely let out a small sigh of both boredom and discouragement. The Crab Entity looked down at the man, still unsure as to why he hadn't fled.
"Gigigi, I bet your businessman already hating the daily grind. I ate too much crab and turned into this, Crablante. You should be crapping in your pants right now, Why aren't you running?" The Crab Entity calling itself, Crablante, seemingly was confused as to why this person hadn't fled at his mere presence. The man just stood still, unphased and unbothered. And above all, silence.
"Got a death wish?" Crablante said slightly sternly. Still more silence. "Is that it?"
"Well, not quite," The man finally spoke. Crablante made a small rupture in his throat, almost a sound of interest. He decided to hear the little man out.
"I'm no businessman, I'm unemployed. Right now, I'm looking for a job. I flunked my last job interview… and I'm in no mood to turn tail and run, just because you're here," The man said, his tone sounding uninterested and very discouraged.
"So, what's it going to be, Crablante?" The man said once more, almost looking to die.
"Gigigigi, Your eyes are cold and lifeless, just the same as mine. Since you and I have that in common…" Crablante said as he walked past the man. "I think I'll let you off the hook this time, besides… Right now I'm hunting different prey,"
The Crab Entity stopped and turned to look at the man. He returned his gaze with a small 'hm', piqued his interest momentarily, but as Crablante walked off his interest was lost.
"A brat with a big chin, and when I find him, I'm gonna rip his arms off! GIGIGIGIGI!" Crablante said as he ventured onward for his hunt. The man simply continued on, losing interest and heading in the direction he was heading beforehand.
"Now what? That last job interview was the last one of the day… I'll have to keep looking once I find some other options," The man thought to himself as he walked down the alleyway.
A few minutes later…
The man had walked for roughly five minutes, not caring about his surroundings too much. He slowly came across an open area where a small playground resided. Well… by playground that mostly meant a small part of the park. And it was in this park that something caught his attention.
That something came in the form of a young boy, with an overly large chin. And no, 'overly' is not an exaggeration, this child's chin was literally the size of his head, probably bigger. And this child was playing with a soccer ball. However, his attention was turned to the man who stared at him.
"What are you looking at?" The young boy said. The man watching began to sweat, and a small sense of dread overtook him.
"The big chin brat… If he's caught he's dead," The man thought to himself.
"Hey, kid, were you messing with a crab monster by any chance?" He asked as soon as his thoughts were finished. Wanting to confirm if this was indeed "THE" kid. The kid looked plainly innocent and said.
"When he was asleep in the park, I drew some nipples on his chest," The boy said very bluntly and thought nothing of it. The dread the man felt grew exponentially. His heart even skipped a beat.
"It's definitely him. He has no idea what he's done… What do I do? I could still help but…" The man thought to himself, and suddenly, his interest seemed to dwindle. "This kid's kinda weird looking. It's none of my business really… I should just walk away," The man thought to himself. The young boy started to play with his ball a little, bouncing it down as it popped right back up, he quickly caught the ball though he stumbled a little.
"Right… I mean who really cares anyway," The man thought to himself once again, this time with a smile. He began to slowly walk away. The young boy continued to play with his ball.
Little did either of them know, someone else was nearby. Someone watching from the rooftops of a nearby building. A figure of strange proportions. Adorned with a set of armor or suit. Some call it, The Praetor Suit. This one specifically was the upgraded version of the older model. Designed and customized by the strange figure itself. And currently, this figure seemed to be waiting, watching, listening. Looking closely at the only two individuals within a seventy meter radius. This individual looked on to see what would happen, noticing that the older one was leaving. As this strange and almost intimidating individual looked on from the top of this roof, he thought he would watch and see what would happen. He was getting unusual readings in this area. Sometimes they would spike at random, and in vast amounts. He can only hope that it wasn't a horde of what he thinks is nearby. Only time would tell. Or… Maybe it wouldn't.
"GIGIGI, FOUND YOU!" Crablante shouted, seemingly appearing out of nowhere and swung his claw straight for the young boy. But, just before the claw smashed down on the child, the man darted forward, leaping and tackling the kid out of the way. Surprising himself, the boy, and the Crab Entity.
"WHAT THE HELL AM I DOING?!" The man exclaimed to himself through his thoughts, unsure as to how or why he was doing this to begin with. Crablante looked straight at the man and the boy. Surprised and shocked that the person he spared and had something of an understanding with would intervene with what he was doing.
The man and the boy landed a small distance away from Crablante.
"Listen kid, He's after you, NOW GO!" The man said to the boy, trying to get him out of here. The boy, however, was very hesitant, for some unknown reason.
"Don't worry about me! Just GO!" The man said, still trying to get the boy out of here. The boy, once again, didn't budge.
"But, I can't… I gotta get my soccer ball," "ARE YOU SERIOUS!"
POP
Crablante ended up smashing the soccer ball with his foot, causing the boy to let out a small saddened moan. And a tear escaping from his eye.
"Cold eyes, What's the big idea? Don't tell me you're gonna protect that stinkin' big chin brat," Crablante said. His intentions were harsh and cruel, this monster wanted nothing more than to kill this child.
"Oh come on, you're really gonna kill this kid over some harmless little prank. Isn't that kinda harsh?!" The man said, slightly angered. Crablante ended up making some weird noise from his gullet almost to kinda make the man sound stupid.
"Whatever! I kill people for a lot less! Whoever makes fun of the way I look, Pays the price, No exceptions!" Crablante said with insanity in his eyes. "And by the way, that big chin brat… DREW RIDICULOUS NIPPLES ON MY MANLY CHEST PLATE IN PERMANENT MARKER! I'VE GOT CLAWS, I CAN'T EVEN USE A TOWEL TO WIPE IT OFF!" Crablante exclaimed through sheer rage as he revealed the small, sketched out nipples on his chest.
Crablante then swung his claw forward straight into the man's face, stopping only mere inches from it.
"Get in my way, and I'll make sure that job interview you flunked will be your last," Crablante exclaimed through rage. Almost ready to tear this bystander apart. The man stared sternly at the entity before him, until he just realized what he was seeing, what this creature resembled. He lowered his head and started giving small chuckles. Which began to slowly progress into a burst of laughter. This seemed to cause Crablante's confusion, however, not expressing it through emotion, but of one of his gullet noises.
"Man, it just came to me, You look like this villain from a kids TV show I used to watch," The man said with his cheeks slightly pink from laughing. This had crossed the line and officially snapped Crablante. The Crab Entity reeled his claw back and bashed the man in the air, sending him flying into a cart of volleyballs. Creating a small gust of dust.
The boy watched on in shock but his attention was drawn back to Crablante as his shadow covered the young child and prepared to deliver a killing blow.
"Die," Were the words spoken by Crablante. The boy gave off yells and screams of fear, trying to back away. Then, something was thrown at Crablente's cheek. A decent sized rock pebble. It made contact with his cheek and left a small mark. It was enough to get Crablante's attention, but not near enough to hurt him. Although, that didn't seem like the objective of the throw. Crablante looked with his eyes at where the pebble had been thrown and saw, the somehow still standing man. Who had recovered and gotten to his feet.
"Stop right there… If I watch you kill a kid right in front of me, I'll have nightmares," The man said as he staggered heavily. Crablante put his claw down, almost as if he was going to give his full attention to this man. No shot this guy thinks he can defeat the mighty Crablante.
"You know what… When I was a kid, I dreamed of being a hero. Not some damn business man," The man said as he took off his coat and pulled off his tie. "But a Superhero who could send rotten villains like you, flying with one punch… Screw looking for a job… BRING IT ON CRAB!" The man said with furious and rageful fighting spirit.
The individual on top of the building, watching on in anticipation. He was about to intervene when the bystander was sent flying, but quickly found him still standing. So, he would wait and see what would happen. However, he grew rather impressed with this human's fighting spirit. It reminded him of himself, way back before he gained all this power. He would wait to see how this human would handle the situation and if he could defeat this entity. If he proved unable, he would intervene.
"Oh, A hero huh?!" Crablante said with a taunting manner and seeing it as an absolute joke. He raised his claw and bashed the man with it. "Ridiculous!" The attack sent the man flying, all the while, blood splattered from his face and nose. Not killing him, mind, but enough to injure him to a high degree. But this didn't stop there as Crablante delivered a secondary attack, leading into a heavy uppercut with the man being sent at least 20 feet in the air. "YOU'RE PATHETIC!"
The man landed on the ground and slowly tried to get back up.
"You don't stand a chance against me," Crablante taunted him more and more through each strike.
"Your life ends…" Crablante prepared to deliver a final blow, but the man looked up with heavy fiery determination. "NOW!" The claw struck, however, missing its mark. The man quickly leapt up onto Crablante's claw and leapt over his shoulder, but not before wrapping his tie around Crablante's elliptical eyes. Wrapping around it as the man landed behind the entity. Said man pulled with all his might. This eventually led to Crablante's elliptical eye being completely torn off with all his insides spewing out from the opening as the area began to rain with crab meat and blood.
The little boy came forward and watched on as this crab creature supposedly was killed by a mere bystander. Until the crab creature fell to the ground, covered with its own meat and flesh, explicitly dead.
The man stood over the corpse, taking in heavy breaths as he looked down on the corpse. Something then sparked inside him, something like a rageful flaming spirit of fire. And within his eyes, that flame sparked forward.
Just on the rooftop, the individual who watched the entire scene play out, was rather impressed with this human's fighting spirit. Just when he thought the man was finished… he was quick to prove him wrong. This Earth had much more persistent and hardy humans than the Earth he originally came from. With the situation resolved, The individual was about to take his leave… until… his scanner on his visor started going haywire. He turned back to look down where the two humans were. The energy was going off the charts. And they were so similar to what he'd been getting recently… Only this time, it seemed they would manifest.
"Detecting multiple Argent Energy readings… Life forms detected… Demon signatures confirmed…" A voice spoke to the individual, sounding like an AI system of some kind. The individual then firmly clenched his fist.
They were here…
Back down with the man and the young boy, who were seemingly unaware of what was happening. The man turned to the kid.
"Hey, kid… you okay?" The man said, he still stood over the corpse of the dead crab creature. The boy looked stunned to say the least.
"Yeah… I think so," The young boy replied. The man let out a small sigh of relief. But suddenly, the air around him and the boy grew heavy, dangerously heavy. The wind began to pick up a little, with leaves flowing away. The sky is growing darker, and slightly red. The man looked to the sky in confusion. Did this have something to do with the creature he just killed? There's no way! This monster was more or less a joke than anything.
Suddenly, strange red energy implosions erupted out of thin air in the area. Mostly in the park area. The man's expression grew heavily shocked and surprised, he backed up a little from the sudden appearances. The boy, almost equally as shocked.
And that was when the red implosions brought forth more creatures. Some came in the form of humans, but with red glowing eyes, bulkier muscles, and obvious distinctions that make it seem more monster and zombie like than man. And then there were a few that were human sized, but with the obvious distinctions that made it more monster than man. Large claws, tannish hide, large sharp teeth, and glowing yellow eyes. And then another coming in the form of a demonic brain on large mechanized legs. A turret to the rear of its body. And both sides of its brain also feature several launch ports from which it shoots its grenades. This one, being far larger than the other two present.
These entities appeared in a horde of up to twelve. Five humanoid soldiers, five of the human sized creatures, and two of the spider-like demonic brains. The demons turned their attention towards the man and the boy.
"What the hell…" The man said he had just finished killing one creature… now twelve more have appeared… Seriously, WHAT THE HELL HAD THIS KID DONE TO DESERVE ANY OF THIS?!
It was obvious to see that these entities were in no way associated with Crablante. Meaning they were here for another reason. The boy was terrified at the moment, he backed away from the demonic creatures.
Some of the human sized demons hissed and snarled at the two humans. One ended up rushing at the boy. It ran at him on all fours and leapt straight at him. The boy screamed and backed up, however, he ended up tripping himself, falling directly on his butt as the monster leapt right at him. But, just before the monster got its claws on him, the bystander leapt directly onto the creature. Tackling it to the ground and forcing himself on top of it. The man proceeded to use his tie and wrap it around the creature's neck. He would try to kill it similarly to how he killed Crablante. He wasn't sure it would work, but he had to do something.
But, before he could even get the tie wrapped around the monster's neck. The man felt a sharp and slicing slash against his back, ripping his shirt and forcing him on the ground. Via, off the creature he ended up tackling.
The man rested on the ground, blood dripping out of his mouth. His muscles were aching, his back was hurting like hell. He tried looking at what had hit him and saw it was almost the same creature, however, it was a different one. The demonic entity readied to finish off the man by raising its claw and prepared to deliver a final blow.
Yet… it never came.
BANG BANG BANG BANG
There were gunshots… But not just any gunshots. Shotgun shells from the sound of it. Almost sounding like full auto rounds too. And just like that, both the entities that were close to the boy and the man, had been shredded into nothing but mangled corpses. One lost its head and the arm it was about to strike the man with. The other that was on the ground had a massive hole in its chest and lost all of its left shoulder. Both seemingly dead.
The man winced slightly, unsure of what just happened. He looked at the demons before him, but their attention wasn't on him or the boy. The eyes of these demons were looking up at what was possibly behind the two.
The man and the boy turned their attention to what they were looking at. And looking up on a rooftop… there stood a figure. Wearing a suit of some kind and holding in one hand, a shotgun of some kind. Whatever kind of shotgun it was, it had to be the most advanced shotgun anyone had ever seen. Smoke slowly withered up from the ends of the barrels. The figure then pulled the shotgun to his chest and pulled off the barrel. And soon, pulling out another extension from his suit and placing it on the shotgun. It was like a weapon modification of some kind.
The figure then dropped down from the building. Upon landing, it created a small crater and shook the ground slightly. The figure landed on his feet. Slowly rising up to face the demons before him. The man and the boy looked on in confusion and slight shock. The demons… they looked on in fear… For they knew who and what this was. This abomination amongst creation. The Beast.
It was him…
The Doom Slayer…
