Earth… City Z… Small Park…
Do you ever have those moments when you believe no matter what you do, it will never matter. That anything and everything you try is eventually going to be for nothing? Well, it is in moments like these, when Saitama, the man who had risked his life to protect a young boy from the monster known as Crablante, got this sort of feeling. Albeit, it wasn't from Crablante. That monster was long past defeated. It was at this very moment, when everything Saitama thought he could save, was about to be lost.
Or… So he thought.
That was his thoughts when these strange entities, also known as Demons, appeared seemingly out of nowhere and were keen on ending his life and the boy's life. And just when Saitama thought all was lost… a stranger appeared. Bearing a strange mark on his helmet, and wearing some strange suit that looked far too high tech to be of this age. Or at least, to Saitama's knowledge. And right now, this figure had killed two of the creatures that could've ended Saitama's life then and there. With some kind of shotgun. Whoever or whatever this figure was… He had this strange, powerful, menacing aura that aroused from him. There was something about him that made it feel like… Doom. Yes… Doom… That was what this feeling was.
The sense of Doom. When you feel like everything you know and love is inevitably doomed at the end. When all things begin… They will end one way or another.
But perhaps, that is not what this figure before them resembled.
And now, my friends, this is where we continue our story.
The figure before them, also known as, The Doom Slayer, to the Demon's knowledge. Albeit, not to Saitama or the young boy's knowledge, had come here for this very reason. To kill the demons and free this Earth from the Damnation that these monsters sought.
And he was not about to let these souls become condemned to damnation.
The Slayer held his shotgun in both hands. His finger over the trigger and his other hand where the pump is. The Demons stared at the Beast before them, feeling that their Doom was here.
Click-Clack
That was the sound of The Doom Slayer reloading his shotgun. Pulling back the pump and bringing it forward.
The demons then rushed forward, the Imps going first, then the soldiers. Whilst the two Arachnotrons fired their plasma turrets. The Doom Slayer was quick to react in the form of an insane speed that could rival that of the speed of light. Dashing straight for the first Imp, passing by Saitama and the big chin boy. The wind he kicked up behind him made their hair flail. The plasma shots missed their marks and created small explosions upon their miss. The Doom Slayer first made it to two Imps and proceeded to grab one by the face, and blast the other to the side, also in the face. Completely annihilating its head. Whilst the Imp in his left hand was crushed by the Doom Slayer's fist. The Slayer threw the corpse at a Soldier Demon hitting it in the chest. It was through the sheer force of the throw that knocked it off balance. Causing him to fall flat on his back. The Doom Slayer jumped up in the air and aimed his Shotgun at the firing Arachnotrons Turrets. And proceeded to fire with his new Modification, a glowing, pulsating bomb of some kind. Which hit the first Arachnotron's turret, sticking to it like a sticky bomb and proceeded to implode. Destroying the turret and forcing the Arachnotron to stagger slightly. However, not killing it, it was more than enough to scrape off pieces of its head.
The Slayer aimed his Sticky Bomb Launcher, which was still essentially his Shotgun Modification, but for specifics sake, we'll call it that. He aimed it straight at the other Arachanotron's turret. Repeating the process and causing a minor explosion that eradicated the turret and staggered the Arachnotron. The Imps began to conjure up powerful energy. Energy that was not of their realm… but of a combined realm. Argent Energy. Whatever power these demons once had, was replaced with Argent Energy. Making them stronger, faster, smarter, and overall, deadlier. And perhaps, Invulnerable to any and all attacks unless you yourself consisted of Argent Energy or you had means of using Argent Energy. Which the Slayer himself, was wielding and using.
The Imp proceeded to unleash the Argent Energy blast in the form of a projectile that went straight for The Slayer. Only for the Argent Energy to pass by and phase right through it. And soon the figure of the Slayer disappeared. The Imp's eyes widened in shock, and soon realized. It slowly looked behind it, and saw the Slayer standing right behind it. How was that possible?! The only way to leave an Afterimage was traveling faster than the speed of light… And here the Slayer was… right behind the Imp without even so much of a scratch or sign of exhaustion.
The Slayer proceeded to sheathe out his Doomblade on his left arm. Shortly after, decapitating the Imp from its shoulder. Using hardly any movement to slay the Imp. That was the fourth Imp down. Only one more Imp and Five Soldiers to go.
As all this transpired, Saitama and the boy watched on. The boy, seeing this new guy as some kind of sick, badass video game character. Reminding him of a video game he once played. As for Saitama, he could see that this person, this figure, had immense power and strength. Strength that could definitely help Saitama. Saitama had one goal, Be a Hero for Fun… Maybe… Just maybe… This guy could help him. If he was willing of course. But those thoughts and positive outcomes were shortened when one of the Demons, coming in the form of the last Imp present. Had its full attention on Saitama and the young boy. Saitama's face grew in shock and dread.
"KID RUN! GET OUT OF HERE!" Saitama shouted at the boy, who was quick to knock out of his trance at watching the supposed powerful badass. He looked at the man who had saved his life in confusion. However, before the boy could comprehend what was happening, the imp leapt right at him. Saitama was quick to intervene in the imp's leap as he took the full brunt of the force. The imp didn't seem to care who it tackled, only that it seeked to kill whatever he was on. The imp proceeded to pin Saitama into the ground. The Boy backed away and fell on his butt again. Saitama tried to shove the demon off of him, but it proved to be far more powerful than him. The imp raised its claw and stabbed its fingers into Saitama's shoulder. Causing Saitama to give a yell of pain. Blood started to drip from his mouth even more.
He looked at the kid with his eyes barely squinting open. The boy looked on in absolute fear.
"Run… GO!" Saitama shouted, the boy, however hesitant at first, took the initiative to take off. Running home to his parents and grandparents. Once Saitama knew the boy was gone and safe, he turned his attention back to the imp currently trying to kill him.
The imp jerked out its claw from Saitama's shoulder. It raised its claw up and let the dripping blood soothe into its mouth. The imp swallowed the blood. It looked back down at Saitama and seemed to desire more. It raised its claws back up, however, Saitama managed to get his free hand on his tie. Saitama was quick to wrap the tie around the imps neck, causing the imp to let out a groan of surprise. Saitama pulled himself forward and managed to get behind the demon. He then proceeded to pull the creature by the neck with both Saitama and the demon falling backwards. Saitama used both his hands to pull on the creature's neck with every ounce of strength he had. His eyes filled with a flaming spark and his face filled with determination and fighting spirit. The imp struggled to try and break free from the grasp of this human, seemingly trying to escape. Using its claws to gouge and dagger Saitama's chest.
As that transpired, we focus back on The Doom Slayer, who recently smashed a demon Soldier's skull right into its chest, via using his fist. The Doom Slayer proceeded to use his Sticky Bomb Launcher as he shot it at a trio of demon Soldiers. He only needed to shoot one of them in the skull for this to work. Upon firing the sticky bomb, it landed a direct hit straight into the one in the middle. Causing the Demon Soldier to stagger only to explode mere moments later. Which inevitably took it and two other demon soldiers with it. Leaving only one other Demon Soldier and the two Arachnotrons remaining. The Demon Soldier aimed his plasma rifle at the Doom Slayer. The Doom Slayer, however, took the projectiles of these plasma shots. This energy came in the form of Argent Energy, which his suit was able to absorb.
Shortly afterwards, The Doom Slayer dashed forward, far too fast to be seen. The Slayer appeared right in front of the Demon soldier, who's reaction was of great shock, placing the barrel of his switched out Full Auto Shotgun Barrel, aiming it right in the Demon Soldier's chest. The Demon Soldier looked at Doom Slayer with utter dread. The Slayer could somehow feel himself smile under his helmet.
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
The Full Auto Shotgun let loose a barrage of shots, pulverizing the demon soldier into hundreds of pieces. Levigating the corpse and shredding it apart. The demon soldier was completely dead.
Now that just left the two Arachnotrons. Which would be easy to deal with, considering he had his share of fun.
Back with Saitama, who was currently using every ounce of strength he had, continued to strangle the imp with his tie and try to choke it out. But clearly, that wasn't working. If anything, it felt like no matter what he did, it was doing absolutely nothing to this monster. Saitama needed to figure something else out or he could be in real trouble. Saitama thought of an idea he saw in some movies he watched recently. Snapping the neck of this creature might just be able to do it. But he needed to give himself enough strength to do said action.
With one hard jerk and every muscle in his body, Saitama managed to snap the imp's neck as its body went limp. Saitama let go of the belt, he fell flat on his back, his arms spread out as he took in heavy and exhausted breaths. His face was bloody, his chest covered with claw marks and large injuries from the demon. Saitama exhaustingly grabbed the imp's body and moved it off of him. Shoving it off to the side with great difficulty. Damn this has been one helluva day. Saitama moved his head to where he was looking at the stranger. Though his view was upside down. Fuck, he could barely move.
He hadn't even realized how many of these monsters this guy had killed within the past few seconds of him struggling with just one… and now, only two remained. But they were much bigger and possibly much stronger. However he simply approached the two monsters like some kind of damn video game character.
The two Arachnotrons were both close together and gave off roars of anger towards the Slayer who merely approached them without much fear or even worry. The Slayer clenched his right fist firmly. The two Arachnotrons then both leapt at The Slayer, leaping at him simultaneously.
And what happened right after that… blew Saitama's mind away.
BAAAM
The Slayer threw a diagonal right hook directly into both the Arachnotrons. The first one exploded on contact, once the fist made it through that one, it made it to the second one and exploded it into guts and organs all over the place. The Slayer stood there. Keeping his fist in place as the two Arachnotrons were both dead.
Saitama's eyes widened in shock and astonishment. One punch… That's all it took… for both of those things… Saitama genuinely was flabbergasted. Such raw strength, such speed, all of it seemed… perfect for a Hero. Saitama knew one thing, if there was one way he could get stronger… This guy was definitely the one.
The Slayer lowered his fist down to his side, loosening it. However, it seemed something still bothered him. The Slayer slowly turned his head behind him, getting a side view of his helmet and seeing the full backside of him. He was looking dead on at… Saitama.
Saitama flinched slightly because of the sudden attention. The Doom Slayer proceeded to turn his full body towards the human and slowly began to approach him. Walking like some godly being towards him. Saitama couldn't hardly move, let alone find the words to speak, he was so stunned and shocked by this guy's immense power. The Doom Slayer stopped only a few feet from Saitama. Looking down at him. Saitama's expression showed a small sense of fear. The Slayer then grabbed his shotgun from his side holster.
Click-Clack
He pumped his shotgun in his hand and aimed it where Saitama supposedly believed was aiming for him. Saitama's eyes widened as he stared at the shotgun that would without a doubt end his life. Shock, fear, worry… all of it felt real as the barrel of the shotgun seemed to grow bigger and bigger.
And then…
BANG
It went off…
At first, Saitama was expecting all the lights to go off, which they did, but… it wasn't from the shotgun. Saitama slowly reopened his eyes to see the Shotgun had been fired, but it wasn't towards Saitama. Saitama looked to his side to see that the corpse of the imp had moved from where it last was, seemingly closer to Saitama. Only… Its head was missing. Saitama looked back at the figure, who slowly put his Shotgun down. And putting it back on his holster which was right on his waist.
Saitama grew confused but then he turned to the corpse and saw that it began to ignite into red energy as the body was consumed until it disappeared. That included the rest of the corpses in the area. Saitama looked back at the stranger before him. He only watched Saitama closely. Staring down at him, and unable to see through his visor. Inadequate to see his facial expressions or emotions. But, this did not last long as the figure slowly turned his attention away and began to slowly walk away.
"Hey… Hey wait…" Saitama called out, but he did not stop, only continuing to walk away.
"Hey, listen… Look, I… I want…" Saitama tried to find the words to say to this figure, this person. But he just kept walking, either not acknowledging or just didn't care.
"I want you to train me!" Saitama said as he tried to scramble to his feet, but found it extremely difficult. This… seemed to cause a reaction to the Slayer. He stopped dead in his tracks. Slowly turning his head to look at the man behind him who, for the first time in all eternity, had just asked what he thought he asked…
Saitama seemed to be getting somewhere. He crawled to his knees and sat on them.
"Please… Teach me on how to get strong like you… Make me your disciple…" Saitama said. This seemed to cause more of a reaction to the Doom Slayer. He slowly shifted his full body towards the human who managed to hold his own against a single demon. Though an Imp, it was still rather impressive that a single human citizen managed to snap the neck of one. Not killing it, but paralyzing it temporarily.
The Slayer then proceeded with his slow approach towards Saitama. He seemed desperate to get stronger. The Slayer could see it in his eyes. He slowly came right up to Saitama looking down at him. Saitama could still barely make out his expression.
Just when he thought he was going to be rejected… The Slayer extended a hand out for Saitama. Holding it out to give him a hand up.
Saitama's eyes widened…
"Fine,"
Those were the words of The Slayer…
