Destroy Malevolence

[Play Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008) OST Recap (Destroy Malevolence) 0:00 - 0:24]

Orion stood with his Master, Master Plo Koon, and Admiral Yularen on the bridge of the Negotiator, as it, the Paladin and the Resolute were all chasing after and firing upon the damaged Malevolence. It was a sight to behold. The terrifying subjugator class battleship that had been responsible for the deaths of many who were undeserving of that fate, was now on the run from three Venators that would stop at nothing to deliver justice to those aboard the Malevolence.

The continuous fire from all three Venators proved to be effective in keeping the Malevolence from being repaired, but that was all that could really be done at the moment. Subjugator class battleships are some of the biggest ships that can be made, and as such, that makes them really hard to break apart with a relatively small force.

[Silence]

Obi-Wan then spoke up. "Commander, what is the damage level to the enemy ship?"

"She's lost her primary shields and stabilizers, but the ship is so massive it can take all the fire our cannons can give it." A clone naval commander told the Jedi Master.

"We must summon reinforcements." Plo Koon stated.

"That's why I'm here, Master Plo." Anakin Skywalker spoke up, as he and his Padawan Ahsoka Tano had arrived on the bridge.

"Anakin, were you able to contact Master Luminara?" Obi-Wan asked.

"Yes, Master. She's busy with a fleet of Separatist reinforcements nearby." Skywalker explained. "She won't be able to give support until she's turned them away."

"Then we'll have to make do with what we have." Kenobi said. "Orion, monitor the scanners and inform us if anything comes out of hyperspace."

"Yes, Master." Dusk replied before going to a control panel to do his task.

"Ahsoka, help him out with that." Anakin instructed.

"Sure thing, Sky Guy." Tano responded before moving to assist her fellow Padawan with the task.

As Ashoka and Orion were monitoring the scanners, the Togruta decided to try some small talk with her fellow Padawan. "How was the trip here?"

"It went smoothly. How was all the action?" Dusk wondered.

"You know, the usual." Tano replied.

"So, barely anybody could keep up with Master Skywalker's flying, and you somehow managed to get through it in spite of that." Orion summarized, mainly thinking about his attempt to keep up with Anakin, back on Teth and how hectic that was.

"Yeah, pretty much." Ahsoka confirmed. "Made shooting the droids coming after us difficult."

"They'd probably just crash into each other trying to keep up, or get shot down by their own forces." Dusk commented. "The droids aren't very self conservative."

Tano couldn't help but chuckle at that comment, as it was a likely thing. Heck, the vulture droids that they were dealing with when they went to attack the Malevolence were all hit with the battleship's EMP, so there was validity to that claim.

As the attack continued on, Obi-Wan spoke up. "Admiral, status report."

"They're not attempting to just to hyperspace. Their hyperdrive must be damaged." Yularen surmised.

"This is our chance." Kenobi gave the order. "All ships, target the bridge. Maximum firepower."

The concentrated fire from all three Venators was doing some noticeable damage to the bridge spire. If they're lucky, they might not even need Master Unduli's help. But then something pinged on the scanner that the Padawan's were monitoring. Orion noticed that it wasn't a very large ping. "Hm? Ahsoka, are you seeing this too?"

Tano looked at the scanner. "Yeah." She answered. "That's too small to be reinforcements." She then spoke up to the others. "Master, we're picking up near the enemy vessel. Something just came out of hyperspace."

"Enemy reinforcements?" Anakin asked.

"No. It's...a nubian class yacht?" Orion specified.

"Gunners, stand down!" Obi-Wan ordered. "What in blazes are they doing out here?"

"Ahsoka, Orion, contact that ship." Skywalker told them, having a feeling that he knew who that ship belonged to.

The two Padawans did as instructed and Ahsoka managed to contact the yacht. "Naboo cruiser, identify yourself."

"This is Senator Amidala." The pilot of the ship stated as a hologram of her appeared in front of the group.

"Padme?" Anakin spoke up. "What are you doing out here?"

"I was sent on a special mission." Senator Amidala replied. "The Senate was told that the Banking Clan wanted to negotiate a treaty."

"Get out of there as fast as you can." Skywalker told her.

[Silence]

As soon as he said that though, he heard a protocol droid say out loud "Have we been hit?"

"I'm afraid it's much worse than that." She told the droid.

"Padme, what's happening?" Anakin questioned.

"I'm being pulled inside the droid cruiser by a tractor beam." Amidala answered. As soon as her ship was pulled inside the hanger, she spoke up again. "I will not be made a Separatist bargaining chip. Continue your attack. You must destroy this monstrous ship." The transmission then ended as it was cut off.

Skywalker had clenched his fist, and it was clear that there was conflict within him, at this moment, but as he was pressed for time, he had to make a decision now. "Admiral, order our ships to stop firing."

Ashoka and Orion looked at the Jedi Knight, confused and concerned, while Obi-Wan cupped his chip as he and Plo Koon wondered what Anakin was up to. The ships stopped their attack, but continued to follow the Malevolence. It was clear that Skywalker was not going to allow harm to come to the Senator, but they could not afford to have the Malevolence escape and have the chance to repair and continue its slaughter of more lives.

Anakin then began to leave the bridge and Kenobi noticed. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Somebody has to save her skin." Skywalker pointed out.

"I thought you might say that." Obi-Wan replied as he followed Anakin. "Orion, stay here. I'll be back soon."

"Yes, master." Dusk replied, as he watched the pair leave.

"There he goes again, craving adventure and excitement." Plo Koon commented on Skywalker's actions.

"You get used to it." Tano commented.

"I guess that leaves us with the job of monitoring their progress." Orion noted.

"Yay. More looking at screens." Ahsoka sarcastically replied.

"If that bores you so much, then why not take this time as an opportunity to train together, young ones?" Plo Koon pointed out. "The Admiral can handle monitoring your masters' progress."

Both Padawans looked at each other for a brief moment, and Tano spoke up first. "Well, it may not be the action that I want to be a part of, but anything beats being cooped up in the bridge, looking at screens all day." She unintentionally took a jab at Dusk when she said that.

"Wow. You can't sit still at all, can you." Orion replied. "No wonder you work so well with Master Skywalker."

She smirked at that jab at her. "So what kind of training do you want to do then, Orion? You want to spar?"

"That would be your first pick." Dusk responded. "So long as we don't get too carried away, I don't see any harm in a friendly tussle."

"I will observe and make sure that nothing too damaging happens with you two." Plo Koon stated.

"Thank you, Master Plo." The two Padawans respectfully said to him, as the three took their leave from the bridge.

Meanwhile, in the Hangar Bay, Anakin and Obi-Wan were both inside the G9 Freighter that Skywalker had taken as his own during the rescue of Jabba's son. He had apparently required it, and repaired it. Kenobi entered the cockpit and spoke to his former Padawan. "I trust you've already formulated a brilliant plan to rescue the senator."

"As a matter of fact, I have." Anakin confirmed.

"But, do we have a Plan B?" Obi-Wan wondered. "Every operation needs a backup, Anakin."

"I don't have a backup..." Skywalker admitted. "...Yet! But I do have a plan for getting on that ship."

"Really?" Kenobi replied.

"The enemy sensors are obviously damaged, so we'll sneak behind them and dock at one of the emergency airlocks." Anakin explained.

"That's your plan?" Obi-Wan questioned. "Just fly there, land, hope they don't spot us, and walk in the door?"

"Basically." The Jedi Knight confirmed.

"Oh, brilliant." The Jedi Master sarcastically remarked. "Let's get going."

Anakin then took off and flew outside of the Hangar Bay, just in time for the Padawans and Plo Koon to watch them leave. "There they go. Off to save the day again." Ahsoka commented.

"You sound jealous." Orion noted.

"That obvious, huh?" Tano admitted.

"I'm sure that in due time, you both will have your chance to do the same." Plo Koon assured them.

"Thank you, Master." Both Padawans replied to him.

"For now though, it's time to train." The Jedi Master told the pair. "Let us begin with physical preparation. Attune your sabers' energy to the proper training levels."

The two Padawans each took their lightsabers out and did as instructed, lowering the power output on their tools so that way they wouldn't cut each other's limbs off by accident. Once that was done, the Jedi Master spoke up once more. "Padawan Dusk, position yourself at the west end of this launch bay square. Little Soka, position yourself to the east end of the square."

"Yes, Master Plo." Both of them said at the same time before following his instruction.

"When you are both ready, you may begin." The Kel Dor Jedi told them.

[Silence]

Just as the Togruta was about to activate her lightsaber, she was caught off guard to see her opponent take a bow. "Thank you for taking the time to help me improve myself, Ahsoka. I promise, it won't be a waste of time."

After she heard that, she felt the need to return the gesture, and also took a bow. "I'm sure that it won't be a waste. And thank you for giving me the chance to improve myself as well." Once that formality was finished, the two took their stances and activated their lightsabers.

[Play Star Wars The Phantom Menace OST Anakin Defeats Sebulba 0:12 - 2:12]

Ahsoka assumed a variant form five stance. Orion recognized it as Djem So, and chose to assume a form three defensive stance. In spite of being new to the form, he needed to practice with it, as well as use it to defend against form five's aggressive style.

Tano then dashed towards Dusk and swung at him, but her attack was swiftly blocked by the boy, before she pulled back and got out of his counter range. The Togruta then got to Orion's left side and swung at him, but the boy moved his blade quickly enough to clash with hers once more. Ahsoka backed away again before jumping over her opponent to strike him from the right side, only for Dusk to lean to his left to avoid the slash, then lean towards her and swing his blade at her. Tano quickly intercepted his blade with hers, and the two were locked.

Plo Koon spoke up in the middle of the match, giving his advice to the pair of Padawans. "Little Soka, keep your movements swift and strong. Soresu cannot be overcome if you break every time you clash against it." He then directed his attention to Orion. "Padawan Dusk. You cannot overcome Djem So, with just defense and patience. You must create an opening to exploit for yourself."

The two Padawans broke their clash, when Ahsoka and Orion pushed off of eachother. The two of them took their stances again and said in unison "Understood, Master Plo." before continuing their match.

Ahsoka then rushed forward and swung at Orion, who blocked her blow, but instead of backing down, she swiftly went for another strike that he would quickly block, then another, and another. She was taking Plo Koon's teachings to heart, and getting aggressive. This was bad for Dusk, as he was still new to form 3, and was not adept at creating openings quite yet. He also had not sparred against Ahsoka before, so he didn't know how she fought. All he could do right now was defend. Block, block, block, lean back, block, lean away. Meanwhile Ahsoka would swing, swing, strike, strike, swing, strike, strike, strike, not giving any chance for recovery, and not allowing herself to slow down and lose ground.

The stamina that these two Padawans had was starting to show, as while Orion kept defending, and Ahsoka kept attacking, neither of them were tired out yet. Dusk is used to preserving his energy, as well as tapping into the force to compensate for any lack of power or speed when necessary. Meanwhile, Tano has a surplus of energy to burn through and plenty more stamina in reserve.

Ahsoka picked up the pace with her swings, loosening up on the power, in favor of speed. It was a risky play as more movement would burn her energy slightly faster than regular swings at a steady tempo, but she needed to overwhelm her opponent in order to break his guard. Orion noticed the increase in her aggression, and compensated by quickly tapping into the force to enhance his reaction time, allowing him to expend less physical energy on blocking and avoiding the green saber that was being repeatedly swung at him.

As this exchange continued, Dusk was starting to get a read on Tano's movements. Her starting strikes, and follow up attacks. Her target preference. Now he can start planning on how to make his opening. Plo Koon noticed this and then spoke up to the both of them. "Padawan Dusk. You will need to be quick in planning your counterstrike. Any opening you make your opponent create will be a do or die situation, and you must be precise in order to succeed." He then spoke to Ahsoka. "Little Soka, your aggression cannot hold out forever. The more this match goes on, the more time that Orion has to create an opening to exploit."

Taking the Kel Dor's words to heart, Tano added more power to her swings, keeping her speed as she swung with full force to push Orion back. Ahsoka knew that this was it. She had to break his guard now, or her opponent would win. She dashed towards Dusk and attacked him with a furious assault of slashes and swings. "I'm not gonna lose this match!" She declared as she swung with all her strength and finally forced Orion's blade and arms up and away from the front of his body.

Tano let go of her saber and shifted her wrist, repositioning her hand to hold her saber in a normal grip, and with the opening she had made, she swung down, slashing diagonally down towards Dusk's chest, but the boy was quick enough with his reaction time and leaned back to just barely avoid the slash. This with the time she was open. He tapped into the force to increase his speed and leaned forward before swinging down, aiming to finish this now. "You're open!" He shouted.

The Togruta saw what he was going to do and thought fast, seeing the attack coming, she let go of her saber and slid to the side to avoid the downward slash, before quickly reaching for her saber and slashing the boy across his chest, making him yelp in pain and drop to a knee.

Plo Koon then raised his hand to signal the pair to stop. "Hold. This match is over. Well done Little Soka."

Ahsoka deactivated her saber and respectfully bowed to the Jedi Master. "Thank you, Master Plo." She then saw Orion, turn off his lightsaber and hold his right hand to his chest. "Word of advice. You probably shouldn't yell out when your opponent is vulnerable."

Dusk groaned before responding to that. "Noted." He noticed Tano reach her arm out towards him, offering to help him to his feet. Not wanting to show any disrespect, he accepted her hand and let her raise him to his feet. "Regardless of my loss, the match was still well fought. And it was a valuable learning experience."

Ahsoka took some pride in that and told him "Happy to help you with learning a lesson."

Plo Koon approached the pair and spoke up. "Congratulations on your victory, Ahsoka. You applied my instruction well. And Orion, in spite of this instance ending in defeat, you were able to apply my instruction to the fight and nearly succeeded. You both performed commendably."

The two Padawans respectfully bowed to the Jedi Master. "Thank you, Master Plo." They said in unison.

It was then that The Kel Dor Jedi had received a transmission from Admiral Yularen. "It seems that we are being summoned back to the bridge. Master Unduli is curious about our progress on the Malevolence's destruction. Let us not keep her waiting." The three Jedi then began to make their way back to the bridge of the ship.

[Silence]

Meanwhile, inside one of the Malevolence's emergency airlocks, Obi-Wan and Anakin were inside said airlock with Artoo and were about to enter the ship. "Anakin, You're crazy." Kenobi told his former Padawan. "Spinning is not flying."

"But it's a good trick." Skywalker retorted.

"We do not want to be spotted." The jedi Master told him, as the door opened to two B1 battle droids.

"Ah! I knew it! It's them!" One of the droids freaked out.

"Oh no." The other droid uttered out before they were both sliced by the two Jedi.

"You stay here, Artoo." Anakin instructed his astromech, who whirred in acceptance.

Back on the bridge of the Venator, Plo Koon, Ahsoka and Orion had informed Luminara of the situation. "Another bold strategy by Skywalker, I presume." She said.

"That's my master." Tano confirmed.

"Once they make it off that ship, we'll need reinforcements to finish off the enemy." Plo told Unduli.

"I am on my way, Master Plo." Luminara told them, before ending the transmission.

Yularen then came to the three Jedi with some news. "We're receiving a transmission from inside the Malevolence. I believe it's the senator."

"Let's contact Master's Skywalker and Kenobi." Orion suggested. "They'll need to know where she is."

With that, Ashoka contacted Anakin. "Yes?" She heard him respond.

"Master, we've found the senator. I'm patching her through." She told her master before doing so.

"Padme?" Skywalker spoke up.

"Anakin!" Amidala responded.

"Are you alright? Were are you?" The Jedi Knight questioned.

"On the lower levels. I'm fine, but I don't know for how long." She answered. "Droids are everywhere."

"Obi-Wan and I are onboard too." Skywalker told her.

"What?!" Padme was surprised to hear that. "What are you doing here?!"

"We came to get you off this ship." Anakin told her. "Ahsoka, how can we get to the senator?"

Orion looked at the scans of the Malevolence and spoke in Tano's place. "According to the scans we have, there's a very large, open area in the center of the ship. It should be about halfway between you two."

"We're on our way." Skywalker told them, before talking to the senator again. "Did you hear that Padme?"

"I'll be there." Senator Amidala replied before the transmission was cut.

[Silence]

"So, now what?" Ahsoka wondered.

"Once Master Unduli's forces arrive, we will move to attack position, and prepare to destroy the Malevolence." Plo Koon explained.

Orion then decided to make for the elevator. "Where are you going?" Tano questioned.

"For some reason, I've got a feeling that once Master Skywalker exits the Malevolence, he's not going to be the only ship leaving it." Dusk explained. "If that's the case, he might need support. I'll be in my Starfighter if it comes to that." The others didn't stop him, as he entered the elevator and left the bridge.

Back on the Malevolence, After a daring rescue that ended up in the group being split up. Obi-Wan had made his way to the Hyperdrive generators, in an effort to disable them, while Anakin was tasked with getting Senator Amidala off the ship, and also finding her protocol droid, which was now lost somewhere in the ship.

Following Kenobi, he entered the Hyperdrive Generator room. Two B1s were there and The Jedi Master smirked at how easy this was, only for the lights to come on, and to suddenly be surrounded on all sides. The three bridges that led into this room all had rows of B1 and B2 droids on them, and three Droidekas had rolled out from behind the cover of the terminal that the two B1s were at. "Hahahaha." A raspy mechanical sounding laugh was heard, before a very large, and very intimidating figure jumped down and landed in the center of the middle bridge's battle droid group. General Grievous has decided to personally greet Obi-Wan. "Hello there."

[Play Star Wars The Clone Wars (2008) OST Obi-Wan Escapes Grievous 0:00 - 1:33]

"General Kenobi. Did you really think that I would leave the hyperdrive unguarded?" Grievous questioned the Jedi Master.

"Anything is possible. You haven't exactly impressed me today." Obi-Wan answered, looking a little smug.

Grievous let out a chuckle before commanding his droids. "Kill him." All the droids raised their blasters, poised to gun down the Master.

As Kenobi saw them open fire, he leapt into the air and over to the Droidekas landing in between the three droids, and using their shields as cover against the barrage of blaster fire. He ignited his saber on the off chance that a bolt got through, but the droids weren't that great in the accuracy department. Once the first Droideka had managed to turn and face Obi-Wan, the Jedi used the force to make it retract into its ball mode and roll it through the left side bridge, toppling down and knocking off all the droids on that bridge. Kenobi then flipped over the Droideka and landed between it and the other one, before using the force on said other one to do the exact same thing he did to the first bridge full of battle droids, clearing that bridge out as well.

Grievous then opened fire, alongside the droids he was with, but Obi-Wan stepped around the final Droideka that was left and used its shields as cover, before force pushing that Droideka and making it roll towards Grievous, who caught and threw the droid off the bridge while Kenobi made his escape with a quick wave of his fingers and a straight shot towards one of the open exits, deflecting a blaster bolt shot at him as he ran off.

"That was impressive." A B1 commented before getting smacked off of the platform by Grievous.

"Guard the Hyperdrive." The general commended the remaining droids. "I will deal with this Jedi myself."

Elsewhere on the ship, Anakin and Padme got spotted by multiple B2 super battle droids and found cover behind a corner in a hallway. Skywalker attempted to contact his former master. "Obi-Wan. Come in, Obi-Wan."

"Anakin. I'm afraid Grievous is onto us." Kenobi told him.

"Yeah! We noticed!" Skywalker replied.

"We'll rendezvous back at the Twilight. The Fleet must engage the Mal..." The transmission was cut off.

"Obi-Wan? Come in! Obi-Wan!" Anakin realized what happened.

"What's wrong?" Senator Amidala questioned.

"They're jamming us." He told her. At that point Anakin had just about enough of the incoming blaster fire, ignited his blade and very handley dismantled the droids that were attacking them. "That might buy us some time."

"I suppose you have a plan." Padme guessed.

"Follow me." Skywalker told her, as the two set off to do whatever the Chosen one had planned.

[Silence]

Back on the Venator, Orion had entered his Starfighter and had taken off. He was given clearance to leave by Admiral Yularen and as he exited the Venator, Luminara's forces had arrived with a Venator and two Acclimator class battleships. As the ships were getting into battle formation, Dusk received a transmission from master Unduli's ship, which he answered. "Padawan. Might I ask why you are in your starfighter, alone outside of the Venator you were stationed in?"

"Call it a hunch, but I feel like once Master Skywalker gets off the Malevolence, he's going to be followed by droid fighters." Orion stated. "If that happens, he'll need support, and I'll be on standby for that."

"Let's hope that you're right." Luminara shared his sentiment.

"We need to give him more time." Tano urged.

"I'm not sure we can." Plo Koon responded.

Back on the Malevolence, Obi-Wan made his way into a massive train network inside the warship and jumped onto a train. However, General Grievous was close on his trail and followed him, landing on the same train that the Jedi Master Was on. The droid general turned on two Lightsabers and leapt from cart to care, cutting every object that was between him and Kenobi.

The Jedi Master noticed this aggressive general reaching his position and force jumped to a nearby crane, grabbed the claws of it and used the crane to swing his body around and drop kick Grievous to knock him off balance. It nearly worked, but the general quickly rebalanced himself and locked blades with Obi-Wan. The Jedi Master then pushed Grievous off of him and ran to the front of the train, with the general close behind. Grievous swung his blades at Kenobi and forced the Jedi Master down on his back.

Obi-Wan was at Grievous' mercy, but as the general went for the killing blow, Kenobi surprised him by rolling off of the train to avoid the attack, then slashing at the locomotive to make enough space to temporarily blind Grievous, so that way Obi-Wan could land on another train that was speeding in the opposite direction, allowing him to escape.

Elsewhere on the Malevolence, Anakin and Padme were now on the Bridge of the ship, and Skywalker was doing something to the Hyperdrive in there. "That ought to do it. How's the housecleaning going?" He asked.

"Done. Let's get out of here." Amidala answered as she dragged the last dismembered droid parts into one of the elevators. Anakin followed her into that elevator and once the door shut, they made their way down. "So What exactly did you do to the hyperdrive anyway, Ani?"

"Let's just say that when the droids try to use it, they won't be able to change the coordinates that I locked onto their navi-computer." Skywalker told her. "Now we just need to get back to the ship."

"Hopefully Artoo and 3PO are already at the ship." Padme said.

As the door opened, the pair were greeted with C-3PO and R2-D2. "3PO. Don't just stand there. Let's get back to the ship." Anakin told the protocol droid. As the four of them reached the airlock that their ship was docked on, the Jedi Knight spoke up. "Power up the engines Artoo."

"Hold the ship!" Kenobi called out, as he was being chased down and shot at by a trio of Droidekas. Skywalker used the force to move some debris in between his old master and the droids, giving them cover to escape into their ship.

"I'll contact the fleet." Obi-Wan told them, as he sat in the co-pilot seat.

"Artoo, release the docking clamp." Anakin instructed as he powered on the ship.

The astromech droid did as instructed and once the G9 Freighter was released, they were off, making their way back to the Venators and Acclimators that were ready to attack.

Nearby, Orion saw the freighter and smiled. "They made it." He then noticed a Belbullab-22 heavy starfighter leave a nearby hangar in the Malevolence, and it was accompanied by four Vulture droids. "And there's the going away party." He then piloted his ship towards them to intercept. "Time to crash the party, Arnine."

Arnine beeped in binary, seeming to agree with her pilot.

The five ships started to shoot at the G9 Freighter, and Obi-Wan spoke to his former Padawan. "Time for some clever tricks, Anakin."

"That's what I was thinking." The Jedi Knight agreed, as he began to move and spin to avoid the constant barrage of blaster fire. He even did a few aileron rolls as well. At this point the Venators and Acclimators began to open fire on the Malevolence, making it a bit harder to navigate through.

"You know we have guns. You can shoot back at any time." Skywalker told Kenobi.

"I was just about..." The Jedi Master began before he was cut off.

"I'm on it." Senator Amidala said as she pulled down a targeting computer and took control of one of the guns on the Freighter.

"She seems to know her way around." Obi-Wan commented.

Padme then got into position and began to shoot at the Vulture Droids. She managed to hit one of them and destroy it. But then, suddenly blue blaster fire rained down from above and took out two more almost immediately.

Anakin noticed the three signals go dark. "Wow. Three down already? Really good shooting."

"Uh. That wasn't me who took out the other two." The senator told them.

Just then on the comms, a familiar voice spoke up. "Glad that my ship was prepped so far ahead of time."

"Orion?" Kenobi realized. "Padawan, what are you doing out here?"

"I had a feeling that you were going to be pursued after your daring escape." Dusk explained, as he flew down and continued raining down blaster fire, nearly missing the Belbullab-22. "Figured I'd help get rid of said pursuers."

"Well your assistance is appreciated. But be extremely careful. General Grievous is part of that pursuit." Skywalker informed him.

"That explained the Belbullab's impressive flying." Orion noted. "But his escort is still easy pickings." He fired at the last Vulture Droid and while it avoided his shots, it flew into a shot from the freighter's gun. "Whoever your gunner is, good shooting."

"Beginner's luck." Padme responded to his compliment.

Artoo then beeped a few times and 3PO translated. "Pardon me, sir. But Artoo's scans of the enemy ship indicates their hyperdrive is activating."

"Don't worry about it." Anakin assured them.

"What?" Obi-Wan was confused.

Orion managed to fly his way behind the Belbullab-22 and started to shoot at it in order to get it to break off. But then he noticed the Malevolence suddenly make a sharp turn and begin to speed away. "Um...what's happening to the Malevolence?"

Soon enough the Belbullab broke off from its pursuit and fled the system through hyperspace, while the Malevolence increased speed and was very rapidly towards the moon. It continued to speed up, going faster and faster, until in a brilliant flash of light the ship was destroyed. "I imagine you had something to do with that." Obi-Wan guessed.

"All part of the plan, Master." Anakin confirmed to his former mentor.

"That was...wow." Dusk was awestruck at that display.

"Come on, Orion. Let's regroup." Kenobi instructed his current Padawan.

"Yes, Master." The boy linked up with the freighter and the two ships made their way back to the fleet, with everyone feeling a great sense of pride as they won the day and destroyed the Malevolence.

You would not believe how difficult it is to maintain a star wars mood around a bunch of 'fans' that really like controversy. Also, it is surprisingly difficult to write in new scenarios for the early season stuff, due to the fact that Obi-Wan would not allow Orion to come with him on most of these missions. And unlike Anakin and Ahsoka, Dusk actually follows instructions at the moment. Anyway, the Malevolence ark is finished, and up next would be whatever the heck Obi-Wan was doing during the Skytop station ark. At least with this one, I can have some more creative liberty, and not need to worry about covering the whole Artoo gone missing plot aside from whenever Obi-Wan is on call with Anakin. I'll figure something out. Until then, I hope you enjoyed this chapter and until I decide to upload again, ;)
