3rd Person

The sky was dark with ominous clouds.

There are fires in every corner.

Screams can be heard everywhere.

"No, let's escape together!"

"We love you, sister."

"You're our only hope."

A girl was brought back to the present when a man bumped into her. The said man turned his head to look at her with a glare, "Watch where you are going, brat."

The girl who looks like no older than eight stared at him making the man annoyed but also creeped at the way the child was staring at him. The man walked hastily.

The child tilted her head as she watched the man until he disappeared into the crowd.

Strange, that was all that she felt currently. She goes down from time to time but this is the first time she interact with a person.

The girl shook her head and continued walking, ignoring the curious eyes of the people around her. She could practically and literally hear what was in their mind, such as why a child like her was alone. Where is her parents? Is she a child of a powerful or wealthy family based on her appearance?

Well, none of their assumptions get even close to the truth.

The girl looked at the people around her with an impassive expression but her eyes tell otherwise. It's full of compassion and sympathy.

None of them even know what's coming.

The girl sighed.

I need a plan. I will not let the humanity be destroyed by their hands. I will not let them rule all over the universe. As long as I'm here, as long as there is hope in everyone's heart, they will not succeed. But first, a plan. I need a—

The girl stopped her musing and walking when she felt her surroundings. She looked around and saw that she unconsciously walked to the deserted part of the village. But she can sense people hiding somewhere.

"Show yourselves," the girl calmly said.

There are chuckles then a group of ten people slowly step out in the lights. The girl studied them one by one.

"Look what we found, guys. A girl who seems like came from a wealthy family. Do you know what this means, boys?" a man who seemed like the leader of the group smirked, his eyes glinting.

"Money!" the members yelled with a predatory grin. They laughed simultaneously.

"Why?"

The group stopped laughing at the sound of the child's voice. A shiver runs down their spines at the tone of the child.

"What?" the leader asked.

"Why are you doing this?" the girl asked, then she tilted her head, "I understand if you are doing this because of needs but what I don't understand is all of you doing this for wants."

The leader scowled, "We can do what we want with our money, girl."

The girl just stared at him for a moment before she sighed, "At first, I considered giving you a few gifts for you five to start over again, but by the tone of your voice, I guess you're the few people who need to be taught a lesson."

"What lesson?" the leader barked a laugh, "Are you saying to me that you will teach me a lesson? You? A child? Are you toying me?", the man shook his head, "But what else will I expect? You're just a child. A child that can be a money! Boys, you know what "

The gang slowly moved closer to the girl, but the latter just narrowed her eyes.

"What?"

"W—why I can't move?"

The leader looked at the kid in rage, but behind that mask was fear. A fear he hadn't felt to anyone before.

"I gave you a second chance and you choose to not take it?" the girl laughed a little, "Let me tell you this, mortal. If I am like others and you give them the same behavior you gave me, perhaps by now you're already incinerated, fortunately for you, I am not. In fact, maybe I'm the kindness and most compassionate among us, that's why I'm just going to warn you, " she narrowed her eyes and met their eyes one by one, "The moment you did this one more time for your wants, all of the needs will be taken away from you. You may chase it but you will never reach it. This is for eternity, and will only be broken when you genuinely change for the better and repent for the sins you've done."

Then all of a sudden the men felt they could control their bodies again. The girl smiles softly, like an innocent child but her eyes tell otherwise, "Be gone."

Then the men bolted away with fear stricken in their faces.

The girl watched them until they disappeared from her sight, then she sighed, "Where am I again? Ah, yes, the plan," she started walking again, "First, I need to gain allies, trusted allies. Preferably, strong allies. My problem now, is where will I find a powerful—"

The girl stopped mumbling when she felt someone was trying to transfer something to the other dimension.

She looked up and saw that the moon strangely became abnormally larger than normal and she immediately knew who was the one behind this.

"Selene."

But then her attention was diverted to the thing the god dragon was trying to get to the other world. And she smirked when she felt how powerful it or they were.

Before Selene could even complete the enchantment, the girl intercepted and raised her hand to halt the process and snatch them without the moon god dragon knowing.

Once she retracted her hand she opened her palm and on it was a glowing orb in the same size of marble.

The girl turned the marble in her fingers while scrutinizing it, "Interesting. A mortal with power in par of a demigod— maybe, even a minor god."

She looked around to find somewhere secluded, a place where she could do what she needed to do without prying eyes. Then her eyes caught the mountain kilometers from her. In the blink of an eye, she's now in the heart of the mountain.

The girl gripped the orb inside her hand as she closed her eyes, watching the soul's past. From the beginning to the end.

The girl opened her eyes and looked at the glowing orb sympathetically, "Oh, how unfortunate you are," she smiled sadly, "But I could tell even though the world already broke you and tore you peace by peace, there's still a little of hope glimmering at your heart. I could see her smile and I can feel how you love that girl."

The girl sighed and focused on determining what the original body of whoever was in her hand looked like. When she finally had a glimpse of her, she opened her eyes and it glowed silver. The moon above her became brighter and larger as the palm of her free hand faced the ground.

The earth shakes and the surroundings glow. Then a crack formed in the ground and some of the trees fell down in the surrounding area where the girl was standing, indicating that the power she was emitting was too much for nature to handle. But she couldn't falter even a moment, or she will not succeed.

To revive a mortal.

Or should she say partially immortal?

When the girl saw that the body had been completed, the next thing she did was to merge the orb into the body.

The girl put her hands down and let her powers gradually subside. She looked down at the person that still lying and not breathing in front of her.

She walked closer to the woman and was about to give breath to her when she felt like she had forgotten something. She mused for a minute then her eyes traveled downwards and that's when she realized what was missing.

"Oh, I forgot," she said as she snapped her fingers and a dress appeared in the woman's body, covering her nakedness. Not the one the woman was always wearing, but a dress that a normal mortal would wear.

The girl tilted her head as she observed the woman and nodded to herself before she knelt down beside her. She brought her face close to the woman's face and breathed in her nose.

As the girl stood up, the woman gasped in air and her eyes snapped open. The girl watches the woman take in her surroundings. When she feels like there is no complication with the woman's revival, she turns around to walk towards the fallen trees to gather wood and make a bonfire. After that, she went ahead to the forest to find some animals that could be eaten, it's not for her obviously cause she didn't need to eat because of who she was, but it was for the newly revived woman who needed nutrition for her newly constructed body.

When she got back to the camp with four rabbits in hand, she saw the redheaded woman sitting on one of the fallen trees in front of the bonfire.

The woman looked up with an impassive expression but had a dangerous glint in her eyes and spoke in a low tone, "Who are you and what have you done?"

The child lowered the rabbits to the ground and smiled as she bowed.

"Please to meet you, your Majesty, the name is Zayah, goddess of hope and moon."

Zayah looked up and saw the surprise and confusion in the woman's face.

"And I need your help, Irene Belserion."
