Alastor felt like there were needles in his blood. Tiniest little pricks and pokes all over his body that nearly drove him crazy. He didn't know if this was a side affect of the wound or if he was just that nervous for Charlie to return. Part of him knew that Vaggie wouldn't help her. Vaggie never truly enjoyed him being at the hotel and he couldn't completely blame her. He had always had an animosity towards her that he could never quite explain. Regardless, there was still a tiny bit of him that hoped that she would help simply because it was for Charlie. He hope that Charlie would give her those adorable puppy dog eyes and she would tell her all the information she needed to know.

"What're you doing here?" Husk was about to approach his bar when he saw Alastor standing in the doorway. He looked more stiff than usual, but didn't question it too much.

"I live here, Husker! What kind of question is that?" Alastor quipped with him. He really didn't want him here right now. Husker was always inquisitive about Alastor's behavior and it really irked him. He was a valuable soul to have in his arsenal and that was one of the only reasons why he hadn't obliterated him already. He would never know that though.

"You know what I fucking mean. You waitin' on something?" Husk looked around the parlor, seeing if he could notice something out of the ordinary.

"Charlie went to the land of the goody two shoes and I'm just waiting on her return, nothing serious." Alastor tapped his foot impatiently. Charlie should've been back by now.

"She didn't say she was going to Heaven for anything. Her and Vag called it quits so I can't imagine her going just for a visit..." Husk left the question hanging in the air, still pondering on possibilities.

"It is nothing of your concern, Husker. Don't you have glasses to polish or drinks to pour?" Alastor gritted his teeth to where he tasted calcium.

"Fucking excuse me. What do I care anyway." Husk grumbled as he walked back to the bar. Alastor cut his eyes over to the bartender and decided that he could partake in at least one drink. Just to calm his nerves, he told himself. He strolled over and hopped up on a barstool when Husk looked at him with a cocked eyebrow.

"Are you actually going to have a drink? Haven't seen you do that in a while." Husk mumbled as he pulled out a glass. Alastor crossed his legs as he drummed his fingers on the bar.

"Well I figured now is as good a time as any to enjoy a little Mr. Daniels." Alastor smirked as Husker pulled out the whiskey and poured him a glass. Alastor downed the entire thing in one gulp, much to Husk's surprise. Alastor slammed the empty glass on the bar and pushed it towards the stunned bartender.

"Another one, my friend." Alastor wiped his bottom lip with his thumb, not wanting to waste any of the amber liquid. Husk began to pour another glass, side eyeing the Overlord.

"I know it isn't my place to ask, but is everything alright with you?" Alastor rolled his eyes. Here come the questions again.

"You worry too much, Husker. What ever could be wrong?"

Alastor felt his eye twitch and he quickly snatched the drink from Husk's hand before he could set it on the bar. He downed the second one just as fast as the first.

"I'm lots of things, but fucking stupid isn't one of them. For you to be stressed to the point of turning to the bottle, something has to be wrong." Husk took a glance at the almost half empty bottle and looked back at Alastor. He nodded, letting him know to continue the drinks.

"Less questions, more Jack please." Alastor snipped, curling his fingers in a beckoning motion. He felt his head become a little swimmy, Husk lagging slightly as he poured yet another.

"Is it the hotel? Is it Charlie?" Husk saw Alastor's ear twitch when he mentioned the Princess. He cocked his head.

"What's wrong with Charlie?" Husk asked as he handed the glass to Alastor.

"Nothing's wrong with Charlie. She's doing fantastic! She's..." Alastor threw back his drink, the burn of the alcohol burning on the way down, settling in his stomach.

"She's perfect." Alastor said barely audible. Husk turned his head toward Alastor so quickly that his neck cracked.

"Um. I'm sorry she's what?" Husk had to of heard him wrong. 'Perfect' isn't in Alastor's vocabulary unless he's talking about his latest massacre. Alastor let his head settled in his hand, elbow on the bar. His smile became wider and his eyes now dazed and glossy. Husk had to hold back a chuckle. He did give him the strongest whiskey he had.

"I'm not a fan of repeating myself, Husk. I said she's perfect." Alastor's words slurred together, his voice sounding like he had a mouth full of syrup. He tried to shake his head to clear his thoughts, but it just made him dizzy. One of his hands had to grip the bar as to not fall over.

"Whoa whoa I wouldn't shake like that. Not unless you wanna be on the floor." The last thing Husk wanted to do was peel a drunken Overlord from the floor.

"I mean, does the girl have any flaws? I mean sure she can be annoying with her perky self but it's certainly a nice balance to the dark of the hotel. To Hell!" Alastor stood up abruptly. The words were falling out of his mouth like gumballs. He couldn't stop himself from talking about Charlie and his filter was gone, metaphorically and radio static. He needed to get back to his Radio tower now. He couldn't teleport like he used to because it took too much of his powers. The more he used his powers, the quicker he would become sick again. He turned around and stumbled toward the hallway out of the parlor when a gentle hand gripped his arm.

"Alastor, why is Charlie in Heaven?" Husk knew something was going on and now was the time to find out. When would he have this opportunity again for Alastor to be inebriated? Alastor gave him a smile that didn't quite match his eyes. Husk gently guided him back to the bar.

"She should be back by now..." Alastor's ears were laid back as he turned his body again with Husk's help as to not fall over. He stared at the spot where the portal had formed before.

"Why is she in Heaven, sir?" Husk asked again. He guided him to sit back down on his barstool, still holding onto his forearm.

"Why wouldn't she? That's where the angels are." Alastor let out a laugh as if Husk's question was the dumbest one he had ever heard. Husk let go of Alastor once he saw that he was leaning his back onto the bar. He made his way back to his area behind the counter while Alastor turned back to facing Husk. Husk's eyes went wide when he thought of one last question. Alastor signaled for another glass and Husk quickly poured him some Scotch since they were all out of Whiskey. Husk knew he needed to be even more drunk to consider answering his last question. He handed it to Alastor and opened his mouth.

"Sir? Do you...do you have feelings for Charlie?" Alastor stared at Husk's face intently. Almost as if he wasn't sure himself what the answer would be. He swirled his drink in his glass in deep thought.

"I fear, Husker...that I've actually fallen for her." Right when Husk dropped the Scotch bottle, shattering on the floor, a portal appeared in the parlor. Charlie fell through and she face planted onto the floor. The portal closed quickly and Charlie pushed herself up off the ground.

"Well." Alastor's hand was shaking, still holding his glass of untouched Scotch. "I'm assuming it didn't go well."

Alastor still sounded off, but not nearly as intoxicated as he did a minute ago. Charlie looked over at Alastor and as soon as tears fell from her eyes, Husk watched as Alastor sprinted over to her. He grabbed her shoulders and mumbled something that Husk couldn't make out. Charlie shook her head and Husk felt his mouth fall open when he saw Alastor envelope Charlie in a hug. She cried in his neck, her hands gripping his back like he was the only thing keeping her grounded. He decided not to interject, clearly seeing as both were very distressed. After a few minutes of them embracing, they both made their way toward the exit of the parlor into the hallway. Alastor looked back at Husk with such a terrifying and threatening look that it made his blood run cold. He knew what that look said immediately.

You tell anyone of what I told you and I'll string your intestines on the outside lights across the marquee.

Husk gave a slight nod as they disappeared out of sight. Husk blinked and tried to process what he had witnessed when a voice started him.

"It appears I'll have to step in." Lucifer was standing on the balcony from up above. He jumped down and landed in front of the bar.

"Wait. Did you hear...Alastor...?" Husk didn't know how to ask without selling him out in case Lucifer didn't hear.

"I did but you don't say anything about me being here. You didn't see me and you didn't know I was here. Got it?" Lucifer gave Husk a warning look that put Alastor's to shame. Husk swallowed the lump that formed in his throat.

"Yeah you got it." Lucifer half smiled and looked back toward the hallway, then back to the livingroom.

"Well. Here goes nothing." Lucifer made a hand gesture and Husk watched another portal open. Lucifer fast walked over to it and before going through it, looked back at Husk.

"If Charlie asks, tell her that I'm running an errand but I'll be back in time for the Talent Show this afternoon."

Before Husk could answer, he watched as the King of Hell disappeared into a vortex of black and purple, with a dash of gold.

Husk knew one thing for sure: he needed a goddamn drink.
