Luke's body was affixed to an artificial circulator. It kept his blood moving and oxygenated. Ben and Vestara sat by his hovergurney. He had been lying there for 3 months, and hadn't moved a muscle. The medical droids had been talking about pulling the plug. Ben continued insisting that they kept him on life support, but even he knew that he'd have to accept reality at some point. Eventually, they had reached a compromise. If Luke didn't show any more signs of life by the end of the week, the plug would be pulled, and he'd be declared dead.

Vestara kissed Ben's cheek. "I think we need to accept reality." She said as empathetically as she could.

Ben was too defeated to lash out, but he still defended his father. "He's survived the impossible countless times! He has to survive this!" Some tears flowed out, and Vestara quickly comforted him. Ben sniffled a bit, and cried into her arms. His body hasn't even disappeared like other Jedi I've seen die. He has to survive! Ben hoped.

Vestara looked at Luke's body. The amount of machines working to keep his body at least healthy disguised the human shape. She only knew that he was there amidst the entanglement of IVs and circulators because of his head sticking out-but even that was disguised by a breathing mask-and his small presence in the Force.

The fact his presence in the Force hadn't faded at all throughout this time was shocking, but it wasn't growing either. Vestara clutched Ben harder. She wanted to do something so badly. She had lost both of her parents. Ben already lost his mother, does he really deserve to lose his father too? She wondered.

Suddenly, the monitors began showing signs of a heart beat. When Ben saw the heart rate monitor, he nearly jumped out of his seat! As impossible as it was, it had happened! The medical droids were called in, and prepared for Luke's body to begin circulating his fluids naturally. The circulator emptied the fluids back into his body, and he was unhooked.

Vestara was in complete shock. "But you said no one could save anyone from the Depths." She remarked. She was glad that Luke could be back, she was just confused about how he came back.

Ben shrugged. "Something must've happened that refuted what the Mind Walkers claim." He was just as confused as his girlfriend, but was just glad that his father was alive.

They leaned expectantly towards Luke. They were startled as he took in a big breath of air! "Dad!" Ben cried. He rushed to his father's side, hugging him tightly!

Luke groaned in slight pain. "Sorry!" Ben said, quickly retreating. Luke took a few breaths, taking in the precious oxygen he hadn't been able to taste or smell for months.

"What happened?! How were you saved?!" Vestara asked.

Luke took a few breaths. He looked up at his son and future padawan. "My family." He simply said.

"What do you mean?" Ben asked. He felt himself leaning in closer as Luke told the story.

"I saw the ghosts of my wife, nephews, and father pulling me back up to the surface. Next thing I know, I was laying down on the sand for a long time, catching my breath, and coming to grips with the impossible happening."

"But I thought there was no way of coming back!"

Luke nodded, then shrugged. "Perhaps the Mind Walkers don't know everything. But I just got extremely lucky. I wouldn't suggest making a sport of this."

Ben smirked. "You said you got lucky."

Luke wasn't wanting to argue with his son on that. The medical droids came in, and helped Luke up. Ben and Vestara began catching him up on what had happened while he was out.

Luke was on the side of the aisle of the Lucky Dragon II. Ben and Vestara were on the side of him. Ben and Vestara explained what had happened on Upekzar. Luke sensed too much light in Vestara to turn her away, and chose to forgive her, and to continue training her in the ways of the Jedi. He hoped that he could help her come to terms with her actions, and that she wouldn't allow them to consume her. He looked up towards the altar.

Flower petals decorated the carpet leading up to the altar, where Jagged Fel stood, dressed in a shiny black tuxedo, a clean shaven face, and nicely combed hair. Luke was wearing his white ceremonial Jedi Robes. Ben was wearing his own ceremonial robes. Vestara didn't have any, so they picked out a nice dress for her instead. Ben had to have Luke help him tear his eyes off of Vestara with how beautifully stunning she looked. Prior to the ceremony, Vestara had also explained to Luke how she didn't want to let go of her culture entirely. She hoped to keep her lightsaber as a bit of a momento. Luke fully understood her reasoning and logic, and helped her with the process of healing the once corrupted kyber crystal. When ignited, the blade gave off a bright, shiny crystal white hue.

C-3PO, who stood at the entrence, began announcing Leia, Han, Allana, Anji, and Jaina. They joined the audience, except for Jaina. Leia also wore her ceremonial Jedi robes. Han was in a gray tuxedo, clean shaven, and with slicked back hair. Luke could tell that Han was itching to get back into regular clothes. Allana was in a shiny pink and purple dress. Anji was at her side, freshly groomed. Jaina's wedding gown seemed to flow just slightly off of the ground. Its white fabric was adorned with gray floral designs and white flowers. Jaina kept walking, then stopped at where the benches began. Ben and other Jedi Knights stepped forward, held their lightsabers up at an angle, then ignited them. Once everyone was certain that the wedding wouldn't end disastrously, Jaina walked underneath the lightsabers to the altar.

After Jaina was at the altar with Jag, the lightsabers were extinguished, and the Jedi Knights returned to their seats. Luke patted his son on the back. "Good job." He whispered. Ben smiled. Vestara leaned her head against his shoulder, and he wrapped her arm around her. They watched the marriage unfold. Jaina from this day onward would be Jaina Solo Fel.
