Catra paced around the room, as a now shackled Entrapta and Emily stared at her. She didn't know what, the next step was, she ran a hand across her bump, absentmindedly. Her thoughts are interrupted by Scorpia who laughs proudly.

Scorpia let out a breath proudly, "I don't think anybody will notice" only for a brick to pop out of the wall, she nervously smiled at Catra.

"Sorry about the wall," said Entrapta.

Catra shook her head "Don't worry about it."

Entrapta tilted her head, confused "You are not mad at me?"

Blinking Catra looked up at the girl "Are you kidding? I'm impressed. You rebuilt that robot" she caught herself, "I mean, Emily, all on your own? While living in the vents!"

"Sure did!" Entrapta released herself from her shackles, "Not only that, she is better than ever. Stronger, increased weapon capabilities, and affectionate too" She petted Emily when the robot leaned against her. Getting back into her shackles, Entrapta smiled, "Who knows how powerful she could be if I had some First Ones tech. Say, you don't have any lying around do you?"

Catra raised her eyebrow "First what?"

"First Ones tech!" The princess repeats happily "You know, advanced technology left behind by a lost civilization. It makes our modern innovation look like children's toys. I've been attempting to integrate First Ones tech into my experiments for years! My understanding of their code is rudimentary. If only I could find the code to their language. There's no telling what I could build, such a find could yield almost unlimited power!" She finished, laughing.

Staring at the princess, Catra smiled, a plan forming in her head, "And where would we find this tech?"

"It's buried all over the planet. It gives off a signal that can be traced." Princess Entrapta laughed, her eyes shining, she looked down at Catra "Lately I've been tracking the strongest signal I've ever seen. It must be a massive stash!"

Joining in on the excitement Catra's eyes shined, amazed by what Entrapta was saying "Where?" she said excitedly, only to catch herself when Scorpia's grumbles under her breath, the bricks not quite settling on the wall. Clearing her throat Catra repeats the question in a more normal voice "I mean, uh, where?"

"I've triangulated the signal to somewhere in the whispering woods!" Entrapta watched as Catra wrinkled her nose, but continued talking "The whole shifting landscape thing makes for a complicated variable but I've created a map that's accurate within two quadrants."

"How do I get my hands on this map?"

"Like every good scientist, I carry everything on my person!" Entrapta takes out a tablet and hands it to Catra, watching with a smile as Catra struggles to get the tablet to work. She clicks the buttons with her hair, making a map appear on it and Catra marvels at the image.

Catra turns from Entrapta as she looks at the tablet, she pulls Scorpia next to her and whispers "I don't know if we can trust her yet but this could give us a huge advantage against the rebellion. Hordak can finally see how much more valuable I am than Shadow Weaver."

Scorpia nods happily at her, "And then he will promote you to… to… what comes after force captain?"

Catra rolled her eyes "Keep an eye on the princess while I go see if this pans out" She started walking toward the door but then felt a claw grab at her arm. Scorpia looked concerned down at her.

Scorpia's eyebrows were kneaded together in concern "I don't think this is a good idea wildcat, I mean going by yourself" She let go of Catra "I mean, let me go with you at least… Dochad said thatyou shouldn't strain yourself, since your body is not in the best condition."

"Relax," Catra says, with a bit of anger "It's probably an empty building, I'll be in and out. Plus, I need someone to keep an eye on that" she pointed behind Scorpia toward the purple-headed girl.

Scorpia looks behind her to see Entrapta rummaging through random machine parts. She freezes before looking at the two other girls, giving them an awkward smile, "Sorry" she says as she walks back to her shackles. Looking at the shackles, and tapping a finger on her chin Entrapta hums "Which one is for the hair and whichoneis for the hands?"

Standing at the entrance of the Whispering Woods, Catra sighed. Stepping forward, she takes out the tablet, tryingher bestto follow its direction. Before she had left the Fright Zone for this expedition Shadow Weaver had shown up, walking into her room like it was just another Monday. She had questioned Catraas towhere she was going but Catra wasn't just about to give her anything. Because if she did open up about her plans to go to the whispering Woods, Weaver would be more than capable of trying to take over.

Weaver looked beat up and stressed, and that pulled at Catra's heartstrings. She said some words to console the dark lady just to be chewed out for no reason, andafter that, she just walked away. And now as she walked through the woods, she sighed in frustration. The tablet continued to steer her in different directions, sometimes even losing signal altogether.

Catra winced when she felt a little kick "Hey!" she mumbled, "I'm trying to find my way, don't make it worse" She felt another kick andshegrumbled. It was as if itwas tellingher to get them out of the woods. She rubs her bump, looking around as she gives up on the tablet "You were conceived here, ya know" she mentions absentmindedly, making her way through the woods. She felt another kick and laughed,it wasas if the baby was talking back to her.

Thinking she was going to be lost forever, she almost gave up. But then a light shined in front of her and she rushed towards it, only to see Adora, walking towards the light. She climbed up a tree and watchedasAdora put her hand on a weird temple-looking thing.

The ground seemed to open and Adora made her way inside, she climbed down the tree, watching the door on the ground. Only to rush inside as it started to close.'This must be what that princess was talking about'she thought as she followed Adora.

Watching as Adora starts to communicate with a strange-looking person, shemakes her wayaround. Trying to find anything to take, her eyes stop searching when she sees a triangular-shaped tech. She grabbed at it, the pedestal pulsing with energy as she removed the piece of tech.

Before Catra knew it she yelped as a ray of energy hit the pedestal, barely missing her "Hey! Watch it!"

Adora raises her eyebrows in surprise "Catra?! What are you doing here?"

Catra blinked at Adora, her mouth opening to answer butit wasinterrupted by a loud alarm, the lady that Adora was once talking to turning red "Unauthorized presence detected. Security protocol activated."

"No, no, not this again!" Adora grabsontoCatra's hand, surprising the girl "You are not supposed to be here!"

The rooms around them started to closedown, both girls staring as a bunch of eyesstartedappearing, "What are those!" Catra said in surprise.

"That's also not good!" Adora said as she pulled Catra toward her. Transforming into She-Ra, she held one of the doors open, "Come on we need to run!"

Quickly getting under the door, Catra ran down the hallway, Adora's hands still clasped tightly on hers. Spiders followed them closely. Catra spoke with fear in her voice, "What are those things, why are they trying to kill us!?"

Adora huffed, "They are trying to kill you! This place sees you as an invader."

"Well, can't you tell them to stop?!"

Looking at Catra incredulously, Adora glared, "No I can't tell them to stop! Nothing listens to me in this place."

They both round the corner, seeing a dead end. Catra's eyes open in alarm, "Uh, Adora!"

Grunting, She-Ra slices the walls and ceiling. Causing rubble to start falling, Adora can hear Catra questioning herbut shepulls the other girl closer, her sword turning into a shield protecting them both. They both started coughing as the dust enveloped the air, Adora losing her transformation.

Coughing one last time Catra looked toward Adora, who was looking at her hand as if in thought. "What?" she questioned, as the blond's eyes rose to meet hers.

"I-I" Adora couldn't find the words to come out, she looked down at Catra's body.

Panicking, Catra turned away, 'oh god, oh god, oh god'her thoughts ran a mile a minute. She was scared at what Adora had felt when she pulled her closer. Quickly she tried to distract the blond, "This isn't the time to be horny Adora" she laughed mockingly.

Adora's eyes widen, her mouth opening and closing like a fish out of water. The blonde's eyes narrowed, "You shouldn't be here Catra, those things won't stop going after you and as long as I protect you they will see me as a threat too!"

Catra crossed her arms, happy that Adora forgot whatever it was she felt "Good thing I didn't ask you to protect me" she retorted as she started walking away.

Groaning Adora followed after her "Wait. You know what—okay, why are you here? I mean how did you find this place?"

Raising an eyebrow, Catra looked back at Adora, "It sent up a beam of light like a mile high. It wasn't that hard" She continued to move forward, her head turning to look straight ahead.

"Does Shadow Weaver know you are here?"

The question makes Catra freeze on her feet, "I'd say Weaver has bigger problems right now" She looks at Adora from the corner of her eyes, she could tell what the blond was thinking about. Groaning, she walked faster, "Ugh, can you stop looking at me like that? I told you it's not because I liked you!"

Blinking, the blonde quickened her speed, "I mean, I didn't—I didn't say anything."

Catra huffed angrily "Anyway, what are you doing here? Where are your new best friends?" She hated how bitter that came out.

"You mean the ones you kidnapped?"

"Yes, who else would I be talking about."

Adora rushes forward passing her in an angry huff, and itkind ofcatches Catra by surprise "Come on, we need to rush, those things can be back any minute."

Catra didn't say anything else as she walked after Adora, who was trying her best to leave the feline far behind.

And somehow Adora had trapped them in a dark room, only for the room to light up and make it look like they were in the Fright Zone. Adora had blamed Catra, saying that she had done something, but when she saw that the girl was just as surprised, she had let her go. The temple had played a memory of when they were kids, of that one time Catra had scratched Octavia's eye. Somehow, they ended up running hand in hand.

Catra realized what she was doing and ripped her hand away from Adora, who looked at her hand as if she just lost something precious, "What was that?"

Adora looked up from her hand, a sad look playing on her face, "I don't know... I think it's sometype ofsimulation, it's tapping into our memories."

Groaning, Catra walks ahead, "This place is weird! How can you deal with all this magic stuff?"

Walkingin front ofCatra, Adora glared at her, "I'm only dealing with it because someone kidnapped my friend getting her cursed!"

Catra grunted, pushing Adora away "What do you want? An apology? You are not getting one!"

They walked for a while in silence, it was starting to make Catra uncomfortable. Her hand, lifted to lay itself on her bump, as she always didbut itstopped mid-way and she could feel Adora's eyes behind her, a confused expression probably forming on her face.

Catra knew she didn't look like she was with child, she dropped her hand again to her side. Choosing instead to cross her arms, here she was walking with her baby's other parent, trying to hide the fact that she was even pregnant. A thought crossed Catra's mind, would Adora even thinkthat thechild was hers? She stiffened when she heard Adora speak behind her.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Can I stop you?" Catra sighed in annoyance.

She could feel the blonde shift behind her, "Why did you help us escape after Shadow Weaver captured us?"

Catra groaned, "Not this again!" she looked at the fallen pillar, it made a perfect bridge for them to cross the big hole in the ground. Jumping on it they both crossed and she could hear Adora talking once more.

"It's the one thing I can't figure out. You could've gotten caught… why risk it?" Adora jumps down from the pillar, only to stumble at the edge. She let out a shriek as she was about to fall backward.

But before anything can happen Catra grabbed her by the hand, pulling her back into safety. And they both stood there staring at each other before Catra spoke, "Do you really think I would let Weaver erase your memory?"

Adora shrugged her shoulders, "I don't know, probably?"

Catra let go of her hand, a pang of sadness hitting her as she heard Adora's words, "Yeah, well, you never had much faith in me"

Sighing lightly Adora looked at Catra as the girl walked aheadof her, "Can you blame me?"

Catra half chuckles, "Not really."

Catching up with Catra, Adora smiles slightly at the girl. Catra looks at her a soft smile, forming on her lips before it drops, her eyes looking at the floor "It wasn't all bad growing up in the Fright Zone, was it?I mean you still have good memories, right?"

Adora passes her standing in front of her, "Of course I do! But that doesn't take away that the horde is evil" She paused, looking down at Catra, who was still staring at the floor, "Hey" she lifted Catra's face "I miss you…too."

Catra eyes widen "Wha—" she pushes Adora away, making the blond laugh "I don't miss you! Get over yourself."

Adora giggles, and jumps toward Catra, making her yelp "Not till you admit that you like me!" she cups Catra's face with her hand, smiling softly.

They both stared at each other, Adora blinking at Catra before slowly moving her face closer, planting a small kiss on the girl's lips. Catra seemed to get lost in the moment, as Adora stole a second kiss and then a third, and before they knew it, their lips didn't part at all.

Catra's tongue invaded the blonde's mouth, making her moan. Their kiss turned heavier and faster, Catra wanted nothing more than to have her way with Adora there and then but that couldn't be possible unless she told the blonde that she was pregnant. She felt Adora's hands run through her hair, trying to pull her closer.

Catra threw all caution to the wind as she pushed against Adora, trying to pin her against one of the pillars. Instead, Adora just fell right through. The blonde let out a yelp, pulling Catra through the pillar with her and they both groaned in pain as the room turned black.

"Oh, come on!" Catra said frustratingly.

The room lit up and another memory played. This time Adora and Catra were older, fighting in the training room of the Fright Zone. Catra hit Adora with a staff but she blocked it and swiftly tripped Catra, making her groan in pain. Concern crossed Adora's face while running towards Catra but that was a feint movement, she swiped young Adora's feet out from under her. Young Catra had Adora pinned under her but wascaught by surprisewhen Lonnie joined the fight. Managing to get rid of Lonnie, Catra was then surprised by Adora hitting the staff out of her hand. The buzzer wailed, letting her know she was out.

Young Catra huffed in anger, a fist forming in her hand. She listened to the trainer praise Adora which made her even more angry. She rushed toward Lonnie pushing her, "Hey what the hell was that! Way to gang up on me!"

Lonnie chuckles "You were playing dirty; I was just leveling the field."

Catra growled, about to bounce on Lonnie, but Adora laid a hand on her shoulder calming her down, "Hey, you were awesome" Young Adora smiled before looking at Catra with concern, "Are you okay, did I hurt you?"

Catra hated how Adora could make her feel so conflicted with herself, she pushed the blonde's hand away, crossing her arms, "No, I'm fine. You are lucky I let you win."

Adora stared at her with a smug smile, "Riiight" she drawled out, making Catra's stomach twist.

"Seriously," she scoffs, "If I came in first, people wouldstart toexpect me to actually start doing stuff around here. Trust me, second best suits me just fine."

The blonde still lookeda littlesmug but dropped it, "Yeah, okay, let's go cool down."

Catra stood there not following Adora, "In a minute, I'll meet you there."

Young Adora regarded her for a second before nodding and rushing toward the rest of the Squad "Hey guys wait for me!"

Eyeing Adora, Catra scowled as she watched everyone surrounding her, talking about how great the blonde was. Turning around she rushed toward the locker rooms, she threw her breastplate to the side, an angry groan leaving her lips. She looked into the mirror, angry tears forming on her face. She will always be second best, second in training, second in Shadow Weaver's eyes, and second in life. Adora will always outshine her, a shadow that she could never escape.

When she lookedupat the mirror again, she no longer looked like her younger self. She slid her hand toward her stomach, a sigh of relief escaping her lips when she felt the bump. This temple was messing with her head, making her forgetaboutwhat was important. She wiped the tears from her eyes, her eyebrows kneading together when she heard a disembodied voice.

"Unauthorized presence detected. Security protocol activated."

"Adora!" Catra screamed as the machine trapped her in a web, dragging her. Tears formed in her eyes as fear gripped her. She can't help but think about the baby growing inside her, concerned about what would happen to them. She felta wave of reliefwhen Adora ran inside the locker room, screaming after her. She yelled but her mouth was wrapped in goo and she was being dragged. Adora tried her best to save her but in the end, Catra getsherselfdragged away.

All the memories that she has with Adora come back full force, tears running down her cheeks. She will always be second best, always be in Adora's shadow. Looking at the spider, she narrowed her eyes in anger, releasing herself with her claws. She jumped at the spider, attacking it and almost killing it before Adora jumped out of nowhere and stabbed it with a sword.

Catra narrowed her eyes as Adora walked up to her. Concern flashed across her face, "Are you okay?" She lifted her hand to grab Catra's but the girl scratches at her, making her recoil.

"I had it!" Catra hissed.

Adora's eyebrows raised before she glared at Catra, "Sure you did, we need to make sure to stick together from now on."

Catra glared, "Stop telling me what to do!" She turns around to walk away, "I'm sick of this stupid place, let's just get out of here."

They fought the spiders as they made their way around the temple, everything around them seemed to be falling apart, Catra went to scratch at a spider but Adora got in her way, stabbing it with her sword. Catra scowled.

Adora caught the look on her face, "What is your problem? I'm just trying to save you?"

Rolling her eyes Catra glared at her, "For the last time, I don't need you to save me I've been doing just fine on my own, no thanks to you!" She started to walk away.

"Catra wait!" Adora grabbed her by the hand, "I'm sorry for leaving. I couldn't go back to the Fright Zone, but after what I saw what the horde was really doing. I never wanted to leave you…. You could come with me! You—you could join the rebellion, I know you are not a bad person, you don't belong in the horde."

Letting outa shaky sigh, she pried her hand out of Adora's, a tired look crossing her face as she saw the beginning of another memory, "Letsjust get this over with."
