So this story started with an idea I've had a while ago of imagining what the Punch Out Boxers did during the events of the Mutant Riots, for the most part you don't have to read those old stories to understand this story because those stories are really...Rough...As I was just getting back into writing on this site and...R-Rated but while most of the Mutant Students at Leo's school are newcomers who arrived after the Mutant Riots I realized I should have a character who was there during the riots, but having it specifically be a child, means while they were there they wouldn't be...Participating the same way the adult mutants were

One day Leonardo gathered all his students at his new Martial Arts School for Young Mutants, both the younger 'Beginner' class students and the older 'Advanced' class students to announce the news.

"So…" Leo said as he cleared his throat "Starting this week there will be some changes to the schedule, on Tuesdays and Thursdays you'll be heading over to the human side to the WVBA Gym to learn boxing with Von Kaiser and Glass Joe,"

The Students all gasped!

"Yeah, I know I spoke disparagingly of them in the past…" Leo said bashfully "...But I've come to see the error of my ways and they offered to...Lighten our workload...They said I was looking a little frazzled...To help teach you self-defense in their own way so my brothers and I can be free to handle other things in Forest…"

Looking at the poster Mikey had just put on the Dojo wall showing a picture of Von Kaiser with his teaching assistant Glass Joe, one of the Beginner Class Students, a young Mutant Piglet, mostly pink but with black splotches over her skin said "I know those guys! At least...The man with the mustache!"

"You do?!" Said Rover a large Brown Timber Wolf from the Advanced Class who was a massive fan of the WVBA and was suddenly feeling a bit of envy that a Mutant had met his idols before he did. "How did you meet them?!"

The Young Piglet, whose name was Bacon Bit, a cruelly insulting name another one of those cases where she was named by insensitive scientists who created her, really the name started out as more of a nickname as her actual name had been more of a serial number but upon realizing they needed to call their experimental creature something other than the long serial number, the nickname became more of an actual name and because that was what she had been called as far back as she could remember, that was what she responded to even if the name was clearly meant as an insult…

"Well…" Bacon Bit said as she stuck a finger in her mouth and began to blush which showed very clearly on his pink cheeks "...It's really embarrassing...It happened during the Mutant Riots…"

"You were there at the Mutant Riots?!" Leo gasped as he didn't think the sweet-looking innocent Piglet was one of those who got involved with Eleanor's attempt at war on Humanity.

"Yeah…" Bacon Bit sighed "...You see...I was treated real rough by the scientists who mutated me...When I escaped I felt pretty sure I hated all humans, I was totally down for Eleanor's cause of war and Mutants taking over the world! So even though Eleanor told me I was too young to fight and I should stay in one of the nurseries with the other cubs I thought...I'm ten years old, I'm old enough to fight! Boy was I wrong! I arrived at the battle just in time to see most of the Mutants get zapped by the EPF's lightning cannons! I heard them screaming and pain as they were zapped...And other Mutants in the group fled in anyway they knew how! After that, it was running around the city like crazy trying to find any place to hide from the...Human butchers...That's when it happened...I was hiding in an apartment building…"

Flashback

Bacon Bit was hiding on the second story of the apartment building, she had seen from the window the 'Hunters' approaching and she had learned her lesson about trying to fight humans with guns, she quickly hid behind one of the sofas and hoped if they came up here they wouldn't discover her hiding place…

What she wasn't counting on was the decay from already one week of the building not being tended to by humans (It wasn't one of those good apartments) causing the floor to give way and Bacon Bit to fall through the floor!

For a few minutes there was nothing but coughing from everybody and the dry crumbly material became dust all around the room! She heard things in languages she didn't understand as Bacon Bit only knew English.

Finally as the dust began to settle, the humans saw a small Mutant Pig, rubbing the dust from her eyes and asking "What happened?"

And three of those humans, Von Kaiser, Piston Hondo and Soda Popinski gasped with horror when they heard that voice unmistakably a child's voice because this Mutant Animal was a child!

"Aha!" Said a different human a man in a flannel shirt and baseball cap who clearly was already into hunting before the Mutant Riots "Another mutant varmint!"

"Stop!" Von Kaiser shorted "Can't you see the creature is a child?!"

"Child my eye!" Snarled the Hunter "The freak is a killer just like the rest of them…" He had his shotgun aimed squarely at Bacon Bit, who thought this was surely the end!

However Von Kaiser quickly grabbed the barrel of the hunter's shotgun and pointed it upward so he ended up shooting the ceiling!

As the other hunters got angry at the three Boxers, in the confusion, Soda Popinski scooped Bacon Bit up in his arms and quickly flung her out the door!

"Run Child!" He yelled as he threw her "Save yourself!"

Fortunately Bacon Bit landed on her rear...And while she suffered some painful skid marks she was going to do what that human just told her...She ran straight for the forest…

And there...With what had just happened, and her view that humans were all evil shattered, she lay in the underbrush and cried for a very long time…

END FLASHBACK

After hearing this story...Leo realized he not merely misjudged the WVBA Boxers...He had misjudged them...Badly! Hearing of them risking their lives to save a Mutant child he realized that if those Boxers had been at the right place, the Nursery Massacre in which a bunch of Mutant Babies and very Young Children had been killed by vengeful humans mostly with kitchen gear never would have happened!

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" Leo asked

"You never asked." Bacon Bit said shyly but it was clear to the Turtles the reason was Bacon Bit still felt ashamed about her previous attitude toward humans, and the reason she had gotten in that postion in the first place was she wanted to fight and kill humans!

The idea for Bacon Bit's character was inspired by the historical Johnny Clem who joined the Civil War as drummer boy at age 9 and the 'Monster Kid' of Undertale, while a bit unusual in that Bacon Bit being a gung ho girl character, if you know how ferocious sows can be, it makes sense
