Hades would do something if only to get his granddaughter to shut up. He loved her dearly, but could she talk? None of his children did this as they were quiet individuals like Theo and Nico. He blames Triton for the chattering individual who was his granddaughter.
Hades did not even bother walking from one cabin to another; he used the shadows to travel. He saw his only child since the pact all his children reminded them of him. "Theo." Hades said to the child, who went from glaring at the ground to looking at his immortal parent.
"Papa." Theo told Hades that he had wondered why his papa was even here. Did something happen to his dad? Was he an orphan? Or was his visit something else entirely?
"My granddaughter has been chattering away at me to do something about you and getting you to stay at this camp. Your older brother didn't like it here much either before your father got me a cabin, and even then, it was rare." Hades commented, but Theo tried to block his papa out. He didn't want to listen to this. All he wanted was to be at home with his dad. To forget about the gods and monsters and live an everyday life, was that too much to ask?
It was too much to ask for. "I get why he feels like that. I don't want to be here anymore." Theo admits that the god of Death, the king of the underworld, had a problem with that since he felt the same way about being on Olympus. His brothers and sisters unnerved him being so positive.
"I know, my son, but your Dad, my little seas, wanted you here to experience the camp. He chose not to be immortal after defeating my father. He chose instead to give all the gods who did not have Cabins here to have one. He also got me and Hestia back on the council." Hades explained to his child that his only child would be born after the oath, and all his other children were born before the path between him and his two brothers.
Why? Nobody trusts me or tells me Dad is a god's slut." Theo said to the God who dares call his seas a slut Hades was pretty sure Percy had only had him inside of him who was telling his son that his father, his Percy was a slut? He'd curse them and have no qualms about doing it; he cursed Apollo's Oracle decades ago.
"Pay them no attention, little one; depending on their parentage, I am far older than they are." Hades told his son, still angry at the disrespect his Percy was getting at this camp after he saved it many times, ever since his introduction into the mythological world, which was the gods and such. He would be having words with his younger half-brother and nephew. What in the name of his brother were they thinking? With how the campers treated the hero who saved Olympus more than once and who was not afraid to stand up to them and mouth off at them.
That mouth was what drew Perseus to Hades and many gods. If the King of the underworld hadn't gotten to Poseidon's only demigod son, there were rumours of people saying a young girl with sea green-like eyes had appeared like his little sea and had a sister. He would let Percy know of this development. Maybe it would be better if Percy brought his sister to camp. But that was neither here nor there right now. His son needed him; what could he say to Theo? Just stick it out? Will it get better? Your half-sister Bianca was better? Not using Bianca caused a big rift between him and Nico, as he would not do the same to Theo, and Percy would march down and give God a piece of his mind, whether lover or not. As much as that would turn the god on a pregnant Percy or a mad Percy, it was scary as the pit and his sea had survived the pit and did not discuss it.
"I don't get it, though. Why are they so hateful? I've never done anything to them." Theo told his papa that the god did not have the heart to tell him why because all his children, including most of the underworld gods, felt like this.
"Because of my little dark sea. They do not wish to know me or think I am evil because I am the ruler of the underworld." He explained to his child that Percy bore him, but there was a lot of himself in the child, and you could not think that this child was a grandson of Poseidon.
"That does not give them the right to think that or call my father a slut to me!" Theo yelled out to the god, who agreed he would have words with Chiron about this; today, demigods have no idea what Percy went through at camp. But that was neither here nor there; the others wouldn't understand it.
"I know my son," Hades said, soothing him from this burst of anger that was welling up in his son; much like his bearer, he was easily riled up as well. "Right now I am going to talk to Chiron and Dionysus about this but it is safer for you here son." Hades told Theo even though he doesn't quite understand it with Theo like being short for Theseus he'll have to ask Percy when he sees him.
Leaving the cabin that was built for his children after the second titan war thanks to his Perseus, way better than the original if you ask Hades although the said god is biased about his lover. The best thing his Poseidon ever did was when he broke the pact. Forgetting that he had a couple of conversations to be had with his nephew and half-brother especially the disrespect that Perseus Jackson had received from the campers here, his brother would have made the world shake and the child drowned in any body of water for the disrespect of his mortal child.
