[Early September 2017]
(3rd POV)
On a bright sunny day, a bullet train is speeding on the tracks along the fields under the great Mt. Fuji, heading towards Kuoh Town, small city in the outskirts of Tokyo. In one of the cabins, a young boy is looking out of the window, with his parents sitting next to him. He has bright wavy and long onyx black hair fading into hazel, styled into a spiky wolftail by a red hairtie reaching his middle back. He currently wears his signature black and red hoodie with grey accents, blue undershirt, slate grey pants and terracotta low boots. This young man is Ryoto Akanishi, a newcomer student to the local school - Kuoh Academy.
Father: "Checkmate, champ."
A sudden voice of Ryoto's father, Masashi Akanishi, snaps him back to reality. He's a tough looking man with spiky jet black hair held by a silver hairband and bright hazel eyes, wearing a teathered leather jacket over a silver undershirt with black cargo pants and black army boots. Ryoto sees, that his father once again beat him in chess.
Ryoto: *surprised* "Huh!? Hey, no fair. I wasn't paying attention."
Masashi: *smirking* "Chess is a mind game, afterall."
Mother: "Now now. Save your work-up for when we arrive home, OK boys?"
Both sit back down to their seats as Ryoto's mother, Kyouka Akanishi, a beautiful woman with soft blue eyes and bright terracotta hair styled into a side braid, wearing a white blouse, dark purple slashed skirt held by a belt and brown sandal shoes, is seen petting a red panda cub on her lap. This is a recent addition to the family - a rescued little red panda Daimonji.
In the meantime, Ryoto once again got lost in his thoughts while looking outside the window. Soon enough, a Kuoh Town station came into view. Daimonji also jumped onto his shoulder to get a better view.
Kyouka: "Are you excited, honey?"
Ryoto: *perplexed* "I guess so... it feels kind of weird, going to a larger high school... what if I'll stand out in a bad way?"
Both his parents shared a look, knowing what's bothering him.
Masashi: "It's nothing to be super stressed about. Many kids your age start off as sceptics like this."
Kyouka: "All that matters is to remain calm and let people see and accept what makes YOU special in your own way."
Even Daimonji gives a positive little nodge to his partner. But it still doesn't exactly help not making Ryoto a bit queezy. Over the past 8 years, he's been tutored through private educating. But perhaps, it will help him open up to other people after all the years. Just remembering it still makes Ryoto frown a bit and clench fists.
[Noon]
After arriving at Kuoh Town train station, all four of them are picked up by a taxi to drive them to their house. It was previously just a summer home, but ever since both of Ryoto's parents' jobs got transferred, they decided to renovate it for a permanent living.
Masashi: *grinning* "Well, does this look fancy your tastes?"
Both Ryoto and Kyouka could only amusingly shake heads at Masashi's cheesy face. On the other hand, Daimonji excitedly runs to the front door, eagered to have a look inside.
Masashi: "See? Our little firefox knows what's up."
Ryoto: "Yes, we get it dad. The real question is if the basement is still intact."
Kyouka: *slyly* "You better not make it into some questionable hangout base."
Ryoto: "Mom, I'm not rebel enough to do some weird stuff like that. Come on." 'That's unless I die and come back as a demon... the hell am I thinking?'
10 minutes later, a moving truck arrived with their stuff. Ryoto in particular, while moving his things to his room, was very carefully handling a little chest box with a golden symbol of a dagger surrounded by a serpentine dragon. Ryoto just had a solemn look while looking at the chest.
Ryoto: 'I hope I can forget all of it. So they can finally rest easy.'
During all of it, Daimonji could only give Ryoto a sympathetic nudge. Even if it wasn't much, Ryoto smiled at Daimonji's attempt to help.
Ryoto decides to keep at least one memento close to him. From a tiny locket in the chest box, he pulls out a golden pendant shaped like a sharp curling flame, surrounded by four tiny gems in blue, red, white and purple colours. He puts it around his neck and gives a little satisfied smile.
Once he hid the box, Ryoto decided to go out to reacquaint with the city.
Ryoto: 'It's still as quaint as I remember. And speaking of old times, I wonder how she's doing...'
While walking around, looking around the shops and even the local park, Ryoto could have sworn, that he keeps sensing a very familiar aura. It made him lose focus again and got startled by a random cat jumping out of bushes. Before he fell back, he felt someone catching him from behind.
???: "Woah, not really good first impression to fall on head, huh new guy?"
Once Ryoto stood back up, he looked at the person responsible for breaking his fall. It was a boy, about two inches taller, with spiky dark purple hair styled into a half-crest, bright copper brown eyes and wearing a summer version of a male Kuoh uniform - consisting of a white short-sleeved polo shirt with a black tie ribbon, slate black pants and dark grey high-top shoes.
Ryoto: "Uh, thanks... guess I kind of got lost in thought again."
Boy: *smirking* "Seems like someone's brain has taken every sight from around, right?"
Ryoto: *confused* "Um, I'm not sure I understand." 'Talk about a bit too openminded character...'
Boy: "Heh, just going with a flow's enough. Hmmm... Let me take a wild guess - are you a transfer student?"
Ryoto was kind of caught off guard at how perceptive this guy was.
Ryoto: *surprised* "Well, yeah. I'm transferring on monday to Kuoh Academy. And judging by the uniform, you're also a student?"
Boy: "*fingersnap* Bingo. Kind of weird to be transferring right after summer, but who am I to judge. Nice to meet you by the way, name's Furumai Yājū."
Ryoto: "Likewise. I'm Ryoto Akanishi. And... hope to make a good first impression."
Furumai: "Good luck with that, champ."
That was kind of strange on how Furumai called Ryoto the same nickname as his dad. But he didn't have turn to ask since Furumai started walking away.
Furumai: "Well, see ya on monday, Ryoto. Oh and also -" *glancing* "- welcome to Kuoh Town."
After that interesting encounter with a possible classmate, Ryoto walks further through the city, until finding himself right in front of Kuoh Academy. A pretty impressive structure, that looks a bit more like a mansion complex.
Ryoto: *stunned* 'Well doesn't this look like a menacing residence... no, don't think like that-'
???: "Excuse me."
Another sudden voice out of the blue makes Ryoto yelp in surprise. On his left stood a girl about a year older, with black hair styled in a bobcut and held by two yellow hairclips, bright purple eyes, red-framed oval glasses and wearing a summer version of female Kuoh uniform - white short-sleeved blouse, black tie ribbon, black and white accented button-up corset, magenta skirt with white trimming and brown loafers. She had a bit of a blank gaze set on Ryoto, that made him freeze, as if he's being evaluated by the girl. And the strong aura coming out of her, that's making him cower, doesn't help. Then she put on light smile.
Girl: "May I help you with something?"
Ryoto: *frozen* "Um... no, not really..." 'The hell... why can't I just stand straight? This feels way too familiar...'
Girl: *amused* "You don't need to be so tense. I won't bite."
Ryoto: *stonefaced* 'Sounds a bit iffy...' "*Ahem* I just... came along to check out the academy. I'll be transferring on monday."
The girl appears to be surprised for a second and then switches back to smiling, as if she already knows what Ryoto's talking about.
Girl: "I see. So you're the transfer student we've been given information about. Ryoto Akanishi, I believe?"
Ryoto: *surprised* "Wait, you already knew about me?"
Girl: "Naturally, as a student body vice president, I'm responsible for watching over all the students wellbeing. My name is Sōna Shitori." *bowing* "Pleased to meet you."
Ryoto: *surprised* 'The HELL!? I'm meeting a student body vice president right off the bet!?' *bowing* "W-well in that case, it's also a pleasure to meet you."
Ryoto was trying his upmost hardest to be presentable in front of his upperclassman, but Sōna just lightly tapped his shoulder to calm his nerves.
Sōna: "No need to be so exaggerate, Akanishi."
Ryoto: "Alright, apologies for that mental spazing out... heheh..." 'Well damn. She's much nicer than how I would ever expect a student council member to be...'
Sōna: *giggling* "Anyway, since you'll start attending next week, I'll prepare a schedule for you. Meet me on monday in the main hall, so I can personally hand you a schedule. Sounds exceptable?"
Ryoto: "Oh, well... If it's not a hinderance to your personal duties, then sure" *bows* "Thank you for such consideration."
With the unexpected business settled, Ryoto walked back home. But Sōna still continued to look at him with a curious, but amused look.
Sōna: 'He sounds like a dependable person... And he kind of looks familiar... perhaps...'
[2 Days Later]
(Ryoto POV)
Well, the time has come. It's time for me to start a brand new life as a high school student. I step out of the house in my new uniform. It fits like a glove, but I decided to leave my polo shirt open with only top button done with a teal undershirt and tie ribbon hanging a bit more. And instead of loafers, I have my favorite navy blue and white low boots.
Kyouka: *giggles* "You look really ready, honey. Reminds me of when I started in Kuoh."
Masashi: *thumbs up* "With a little confidence flare, you'll surely woo a lot of girls."
Kyouka: "*sigh* Dear, that's not the first important step..."
Masashi: "Ah, well... You know, a lot of attention is bound to happen on the first day..."
Ryoto: "Ok, ok... I'll do my best to show a best side of me."
I can also see, that Daimonji is clinging on my leg like never before.
Ryoto: "Don't worry little bro, I won't be away for good. And behave yourself till I get home, ok? Gotta go now."
Masashi/Kyouka: *waving* "Have a nice day!"
I can't help but smile with appreciation of my folks. I'll make the best of the opportunity they gave me and make a new life here at Kuoh Academy.
[10 Minutes Later]
After a bit of walking across town, I make it once again to the front gate of Kuoh Academy. I still think it looks more like a mansion complex. I can already see a bunch of students coming in or loitering around the campus. But much more girls than guys, since appearantly, up until 3 years ago, Kuoh was a girls-only academy that also accepted students from overseas, even back when my mom attended the academy.
I take one last deep breath and take a first step through the gate, making a straight B-line towards the main building. As I try walking extra calmly, with the bookbag over my shoulder, more and more students start to notice me.
Guy1: "Hey, who's that? Never seen him around."
Guy2: "Remember the student council talking about a transfer student? That must be him."
Guy1: "Aw, that sucks. I hoped it would be another hot chick..."
Ok, that was a bit of an overly personal opinion. And it doesn't exactly stop. Yet.
Girl1: "Look, a new student."
Girl2: "You mean the transfer? Yeah, I guess so."
Girl1: "I just hope he's not a perv."
Girl3: "He does look kind of cute, don't you think?"
Girl2: "I kind of like his eyes. Such shiny silver..."
Now I'm getting kind of uncomfortable. Seems like the majority of guys are here in hopes of oggling the girls. And I think I'm starting to feel like an odd-man-out already-
Ryoto: 'No, NO Ryo! Stop thinking like that you damn dingleberry! You're here to make a new living! Just get through that door already!'
...Random mental psych-up aside... I manage to arrive into the main hall. It's driving even further home for me just how giant this academy is. And this is still just the high school division. As I'm looking around, I start hearing students whispering. And sure enough, Sōna is coming down the stairs in a very professional manner. I guess she's very popular among students here. Go figure.
Sōna: "Akanishi. Good to see you made it on time."
Ryoto: *startled* 'HOLY SHIT! How in the hell did she get here so fast? Is she secretly a ninja or something?' "W-Well, first day requires a good first impression, right? Anyway." *bowing* "Nice to see you again, vice president."
Aaannnd... another wave of whispering among students ensues. Mostly awe from girls and slight jealousy from boys, that I already know vice president Sōna. While Sōna just subtly smiles at me trying to behave properly. Then, she hands me a paper - I guess my class schedule.
Sōna: "Just like I promised, here's your schedule. And I would advise to stay out of trouble. Understood?"
Ryoto: *smiling* "You can count on my word, vice president. Thank you."
I decide to just walk away as soon as possible before the staredown from everyone burns holes into me. Just when I make my way to my class, I feel an even stronger presence. I look behind and see a tall raven-haired girl and a brown-haired boy just glancing at me and walking away like nothing. If I didn't feel uncomfortable enough before, this would probably be it.
Once I make it to the classroom door, someone is already about to step in. I can assume it's the teacher. She's a young woman, probably in mid 20s, wearing an ash brown business suit with a dark grey turtleneck underneath, has her platinum blond hair in a short ponytail and dark blue-framed glasses over her coral pink eyes.
Ryoto: "Um, excuse me."
Teacher: *glancing* "Oh, hello. You must be the transfer student. Perfect timing for the introduction. Would you mind waiting for a bit?"
Ryoto: "Not at all, Mrs... uh..."
Teacher: "Sayami. Pleasure to meet you."
Once she entered, I could hear her address other students and called me in for an introduction. I kind of hesitated, since I could sense a familiar aura, just like when I saw those two upperclassmen.
I enter classroom and students just start staring at me. I just write my name on the blackboard and introduce myself.
Ryoto: "Hi, my name's Ryoto Akanishi... it's... a real pleasure to meet you all."
Everyone just keeps staring at me or whispering among each other on who could I be. I decided to break the tension, so they don't start assuming the worst.
Ryoto: "*Ahem* I... understand, that I might stick out like a sore thumb. But I really hope we'll be able to start off on a good note as classmates and friends." *bowing* "Thank you for welcoming me into your school."
...I think it worked a bit too much, since now everyone talks that I'm adorable or just asking if I'm from a wealthy family.
Ryoto: *stonefaced* 'Dear Lord, I'm such a dork it actually hurts...'
Mrs. Sayami: *smiling* "Thank you for such a colourful introduction, Akanishi. Now. You may sit on the fourth chair on the right. There's an open seat."
I try not scuffle to the seat too awkwardly, since everyone is still staring holes into me. Thankfully, Mrs. Sayami got everyone's attention to start the lesson, thank God. Heh. Even if I personally don't exactly like gods. Irony.
High School DxD NEO
[Few Hours Later]
After the class was over for a lunch break, I could finally stretch. Sitting in a chair for few hours is a major pain on the tailbone. While everything was happening, I tried to look around the class, but couldn't find Furumai. He's probably in a different class. But despite that, I think I made a pretty good impression on everyone. Especially during history lesson, when I showed a lot of enthusiasm for the Welsh myth about the Red and White dragons.
As I was about to stand up, I could feel two people walking towards me. I turn to the left and see two guys standing before me. One with a buzzcut and another with spiky charcoal brown hair and large glasses. I remember Mrs. Sayami address them as Matsuda and Motohama.
Matsuda/Motohama: *grinning* "Hey there, new guy! How's it diggin'!?"
Ryoto: *blinking* "Um... pretty good, I guess? You're... Matsuda and Motohama, correct?"
Matsuda: "Damn straight! I like your style, Akanishi."
Motohama: "If you're interested, you can join our group for the best flippin' tour of your life. Whaddaya say?"
I take a quick glance at everyone else and can see mainly girls frowning at the two. I guess these two don't have the best reputation at the academy.
Ryoto: *cringing* "Mmm... I don't know..."
Matsuda: "And as a bonus, you get to witness our sacred treasure."
With that, Matsuda pulls out to my face a... a... a hot... swimsuit magazine... welp, I guess I know which boat am I staring at.
Ryoto: 'I sense incoming stranger danger... better play the part off.' *blank* "And... what's your point in here?"
Both of them, including other students, freeze at how blank my response was, even in front of a dirty magazine.
Motohama: *shocked* "Dude, how are you so damn calm!? This is a man's treasure chest! Have you never seen this before!?"
Matsuda: "Hmmm... You must be some hardcore virgin. No worries ma'man, there's a first for everything."
???: "Will you two knock it off!?"
Before those two can ramble any further, two girls approach us. One is of an average height, with honey brown hair tied into straight pigtails by red ribbons and hazel eyes. I heard her being called Murayama. While the second girl is a bit shorter, with short light coral hair held by a white hairband and dark coral eyes. I believe her name's Katase.
Murayama: "We just got a new student and you're already pestering him with your gross hobbies."
Katase: "We don't need another degenerate in the making. So back off."
Ryoto: "Sorry guys, but I don't see any purpose in your activities."
Motohama: *upset* "Hey! That's a bit judgemental, bro."
Matsuda: "No shit, and there's always a purpose in some sweet porn, man."
...And then I decide to drop a real nuclear warhead...
Ryoto: *headtilting* "...What's a porn?"
Aaannnddd... everybody immediately stops still, as if struck by a stray lightning. Matsuda and Motohama start to back up, with faces coiled in the maddest shock of their lives.
Motohama: *shocked* "Y-Y-You don't... k-know?"
Ryoto: *blank* "...Know what?"
Motohama: *crying* "HE'S TOO INNOCENT! WE CAN'T DO THIS!"
Matsuda: *crying* "WE'RE SORRY!"
Both just immediately dash out of the classroom. Seems they failed on recruiting me to their dirty friend circle. I look at Murayama and Katase and they're still frozen in place by what they saw and heard.
Ryoto: 'Seems my acting has greatly improved... heheh. Yaaay me~.' "Hello! Are you two still in there?"
Murayama/Katase: *joyful* "IT'S A MIRACLE!"
Ryoto: *starled* "H-Hey, don't scare me like that! And what miracle are you uttering about?"
???: "They mean that you're one of the few guys to not respond like a total lech."
I turn around and see another girl, this one with brown hair tied into braided pigtails across shoulders, huge glasses over amber eyes and a wicked smile. If I remember correctly, she's Aika Kiryuu.
Kiryuu: *grinning* "Upmost fascinating that you don't know what's going on... Or are you, hmmm?"
Ryoto: "You mean what those two were so worked up about?"
Katase: "Yeah. They do these things every day. Sometimes even checking us out at change rooms."
Ryoto: "Uh-huh... But just so you know, I already knew what they were talking about." *smirking* "I was just pretending. Sike!"
Murayama: *shocked* "Huh!? But just how were you able to stay so unfazed?"
Kiryuu: "Ohoho~, looks like we have a fortune of having a walking perv-repellent. Nice."
Murayama/Katase: "You're one to talk!"
There seem to be so many colourful personalities at this school. But, finding it out on a very first day seems a bit overwhelming. Yeesh... I decide to just go and have a look around the rest of the school. Some students were nice enough to greet me. As I make it to the courtyard, I see others doing their own sport activities.
???: "Well, well. Speak of the Devil. If it isn't my favorite transfer bro."
I recognize that voice. I turn around and võila- it's Furumai, with that big ol' open grin. I can hear several other students whispering (again), that we know each other.
Ryoto: *smiling* "Hey, Furumai. Neat to finally see you on the scene."
Furumai: "Told ya we'll meet again. Or would've been better to do so, if we were in the same class... Oh well! And I heard you managed to give our resident perv duo a slip up. Nerves of steel right there, ma'man."
Still the same unhinged blabbermouth as when I first met him. I didn't have to answer, just a good ol' fashion brofist.
Ryoto: "By the way... what's with the constant whispering? Are you popular around here or something?"
Furumai: "Little ol' me? Nah. It's just that I'm an unofficial member of the ORC."
Ryoto: *confused* "ORC?"
Furumai: "Occult Research Club. You could say the members are kind of celebrities around here. Besides the student council. FYI, if you want, I can help you get acquainted with the rest of the school."
Ryoto: "Lead the way, veteran sir." 'Well shit, another awful line. Someone please shoot me... at least not yet.'
Well, I won't have to worry about not finding my way around here anymore.
(3rd POV)
Meanwhile, in an old school building, several people were having a conversation in a large room illuminated only by a few candles. The same raven-haired girl and brown-haired boy were speaking to a girl with bright crimson red hair, sitting at a desk.
Boy: "I'll be honest, the transfer student did not disappoint. The kid seems a bit jittery at first, but he'll get used to it here. I guarantee it."
Redhead: "Interesting. And I guess Furumai is already keeping an eye on him?"
Girl: *giggles* "Yes, it seems he found himself a really open-eared pal."
Boy: "And even Sona has met him face to face. Should we also introduce ourselves? I can ascort him myself with your permission, president."
Redhead: "No. We shouldn't be so imposing. Besides, we shall meet him someday eitherway. We attend the same academy, afterall. Let's give him time, so he can get used to it here."
Boy: *shrugging* "Alrighty."
Redhead: "Oh, I almost forgot. What's his name?"
Girl: "If I heard from other students correctly, he's called Ryoto Akanishi."
Redhead: *pondering* 'Ryoto... quite a sharp name...'
[Week Later]
(Ryoto POV)
So far so good. My time at Kuoh Academy has so far been well spent, and both my parents and I are very happy. Furumai is a very openminded and helpful person, even if sometimes his blunt honesty lands him in pretty weird situations. It's probably why some girls are clearly into him, but aren't brave enough to approach him. A real enigma if I say so myself.
Right now, we're walking through the main building's hall, while chatting.
Furumai: "So wait. Your parents are kind of famous around Kuoh Town, right?"
Ryoto: "I don't know if full on celebrity level, but yes. They're very well known. But despite their grueling work, we always make enough time to spend together."
Furumai: "...Must be real nice... *Ahem* So, you used to live here for some time?"
Ryoto: "Yeah... but only through summers. Now we live here full time. And bonus, Kuoh Academy just happens to be my mom's alma mater."
Furumai: "Oh, following in the footsteps, I see. I would just advise to not overdo it... And do you have anyone else living with you? Like a pet?"
Ryoto: "Well, yeah. I do. But, I like to think of him as my partner than pet. And you're not gonna believe this, but it's actually-"
GYAAAAAAAHHHHHH*
-before I can finish, a bunch of students in the hall start screaming and saying there's something scurring around. Even Sōna and the student council treasurer, Tsubaki Shinra, arrive onto the scene.
Sōna: "What is happening!?"
Furumai: "There's something running around!"
We keep our eyes pealed, until I manage to catch a glimpse of an orange blur.
Ryoto: "Wait, wasn't that-" *groaning* "Oh, you've gotta be shittin' me..."
Furumai: "What? Do you know, Ryoto?"
I don't say anything, just step a bit forward and everyone can see my annoyed expression. And then without warning, I yell at the top of my lungs.
Ryoto: *annoyed* "OI! JUST WHAT IN THA DARNED FRESH HELL ARE YA DOIN' 'ERE!? GET DOWN 'ERE THIS INSTANT!"
Everyone around is taken aback of how I can let myself lose it. Since up until now, I wasn't making too much of a presence.
Immediately after my shoutout, a small orange blur just zips around a bit and crashes into my gut, making us both roll back, crashing into the wall with a loud thud.
Ryoto: '...Is he heavier than last time or am I getting weak?' *groaning* "Ow... For the love of everything, you need to watch your claws..."
Furumai and Sōna are first to run towards me, only to see an orange furball curled on my lap. The furball then unfolds, revealing a red panda cub, with a magenta collar on his neck. I should've realised Daimonji would follow me here sooner or later. As I'm standing up, I hold him in my arms. While Daimonji is just giving me an innocent playful stare, and others are still trying to figure out what just happened.
Ryoto: *stonefaced* "Don't think you're off the hook so easily, mr. Firefox..."
Furumai: *confused* "Uh, Ryoto? Is that your little partner you were going to talk about?"
Sōna: "Mind explaining what is your pet doing here, Akanishi?"
I turn to everyone to explain, while Daimonji climbs onto my head, a bit grumpy on being called "pet". So I just scratch him behind ear to calm him down. Other students are cooing a bit at the adorable little animal. But not Sōna... she's giving me a bit of a judgemental glare.
Ryoto: *awkward* "Yes. This little guy right here is both my partner and a brother-in-arms, all in one. My parents and I saved him during a little business trip to China last month. Say hello to my pal Daimonji, a Himalayan red panda."
Daimonji: *paw-waving* "grraaawwwrr"
Daimonji's "teddybear" charm once again made everyone go ballistic. Seems like there won't be any trouble with Daimonji, if he'll feel welcome. But, I can still feel Sōna glaring at me.
Ryoto: *nervous* "Hehe... and... as to why he's here... well... he's greatly imprinted on me and would probably follow me even to another continent."
Furumai: *impressed* "Woah, that's some beyond words loyalty, bro."
Sōna: "*ahem* While it IS nice to see, animals are still prohibited on school grounds, Akanishi."
Ryoto: "Yes, I'm fully aware. However, this little bundel of sassafras won't just simply back up. I'll try to talk some sense into him. But if it's possible, I can take responsibility for when he shows up at school."
Sōna: "Hmm, I don't know..."
For some reason, Sōna stops her line and looks like she's trying not to coo at Daimonji's look. She quickly glanced to Tsubaki, who as if already knowing Sōna's thought, could only shrug.
Sōna: *sighing* "Alright. Both of you come with me, I think we can work something out."
With Daimonji sitting on my head, we catch up to Sōna, while Tsubaki and Furumai stay behind to ease up any commotion. As we make our way to student council, Sōna's still giving me a bit of a judgemental look.
Sōna: "I can't promise anything yet, so don't come sulking to me if it doesn't work, alright?"
Ryoto: "We know. But we still appreciate, that you're at least considering it. Right Daimonji?"
Daimonji: *nodding* "*rraawwaarrg*"
Ryoto: *smiling* "I owe ya big time, Sōna. If there's anything you need, I'm all ears." '...Woah, I sure hope I don't look like some manipulative punk to her...'
Sōna: "I'll take your word for it... Aki."
I think it's save, since surprisingly, Sōna's also giving me a light smile. ...wait. How did she just call me!?
[END]
Heya, everybody! Now, this is a story I've thought about for quite some time.
I know, I know... Another DxD story, who cares?
But no worries. I thought of everything about this extra hard, especially made sure that the main character isn't some bland Marry Sue. I promise it will be great.
