A/N: Well hello and welcome to my first story dipping my toes back into the MHA fandom! I'm gonna have some more notes at the bottom of the chapter, but I just wanted to get some housekeeping done first.

First of all, I'm well aware that MHA: Two Heroes exists. I completely forgot about the movie at the time of writing this and frankly, I can't be bothered to change the name.

Second, it has been a while since I actually watched the show, so I'm probably going to get some things wrong in canon. That being said, I am absolutely going to be screwing with the canon in this story. The general timeline of events will be relatively the same (That being, the exam, then the first week of classes, then the USJ, then the Sports Festival), but after the Sports Festival, I admittedly need a refresher on the show, so I will probably be deviating A LOT from then on out.

For now, I'm planning on this first story to be everything until rescuing Eri, because I want that to e the hopeful ending to end on. Who knows? I might end up pushing the goal post and make this longer and longer, we'll see.

"You sure you want to do this?" The woman said, looking at Lucas as he gazed at the massive gate to the UA Practical Exam. He had done exceedingly well on the written, but now a new form of anxiety was bubbling in his gut. "You could've gotten in by my recommendation alone, you don't have to be here."

Lucas nodded. "...Yeah. Yeah, I do. Even if it's just to prove to myself that I can do this. Seriously, I'll be okay, Mom."

"I know you will... It's just gonna be quiet without you around the house." The tall blonde woman said, wiping her tears away as she hugged Lucas. "I love you, my darling boy. Now go kick the ass of anyone who dares stand in your way."

Lucas chuckled, putting his gloves on as he disentangled himself from his mother. "Yes, ma'am.'

This is bad! Lucas thought to himself as he dodged robot after robot. He was under explicit instructions to not use his mothers Quirk except for emergencies, and ESPECIALLY not for the practical exam, as all it would do would bring Lucas unwanted attention. If people knew he was the adopted son of-

Gah! Focus, Lucas! You have no quirks, you need to find someone. Anyone! There! Lucas ran forward, hopping over a wrecked robot as he curled his and into a fist, connecting with the jaw of a blue haired kid with glasses. "I'm so sorry, I swear I'll explain later!" He said, feeling his legs begin to change as he ran. Was he getting faster? He was!

Looking down, Lucas saw what looked like car exhausts protruding out of his legs. "Okay, speed based quirk. Let's do this. I can do this. I can-"

"How about you explain now?" A voice said from next to Lucas, snapping him out of his thoughts. It was the blue haired kid and he looked pissed.

Well, if the roles were reversed, would you blame him? Lucas chastised himself as he used his new speed to barrel through a 3 pointer. "My Quirk..." Lucas ducked under a missile, pulling the kid down to do the same. "It works on skin contact. I copy other quirks and then can use them. I was acting on instinct and couldn't think of a better way. If it makes you feel better, it really wasn't personal. I just... I made a promise to someone I care about that I would make it to UA. Jump!" Lucas said, hopping over a 3 pointer that just got blasted by a massive explosion from someone with spiky blonde hair.

"...Yes, I see how stopping to explain would've wasted both our time. Apology accepted! Good luck out there!" The blue haired kid said with a crisp salute before peeling away, making a sharp left turn onto another street.

"...Ooookay." Lucas said, banking right as he kicked another 3 pointer, the momentum causing the new heap of scrap into a small group of 1 pointers, destroying them all.

Weird dude. Seems nice enough, but he definitely has a stick up his-

BOOM

Lucas whipped his head around, eyes wide as he watched the city sized Zero Pointer appear from nowhere, shattering buildings in its wake. "Oh, you've gotta be fucking kidding me..." Lucas said, making to run away with the rest of his potential classmates until he heard a voice.

"Help, I'm stuck!"

Lucas squinted, seeing a plain looking girl with curly brown hair trapped under some rubble while another girl was stuck on the side of a building, caught in what looked to be cable lines, presumably from a gondola system. He couldn't save both of them, surely...

But he sure as hell was going to try.

He moved as fast as his legs could take him, seeing that someone else had the same idea as him. Someone with green hair was running towards the girl trapped under the rubble. "Hey!" Lucas yelled, grabbing the kid's attention. "You help her, I'll get the other girl!"

"R-Right!" He replied, looking at Lucas curiously as the blonde took his hand for a brief moment.

"I'll explain when we get out." Lucas said, feeling a massive surge of energy unlike anything he had ever felt upon skin contact. It felt like every nerve in his body was on fire, his skin ready to burst into an electrical storm. He had no time to dwell on the feeling though. He had to figure out how the hell he was going to run up a goddamn building.

"You ain't running up a building, kid." A voice said from inside Lucas' head, and with a start, Lucas realized that time had almost slowed to a complete stop, as if... "No shit this is all in your head. Now look, a lot's goin' on and technically, a mimic like you ain't even supposed to be able to use this quirk. We'll discuss that later, though. Right now, we got bigger fish to fry. Normally, you'd be given a strength enhancement from this Quirk, but you ain't helping nobody if you shatter every bone in your body. So, the others decided to let me step in and give you my Quirk first."

"Hang on, give you your Quirk? What the hell are you talking about?" Lucas asked.

"Like I said, no time. You just need to trust me. Now, lets save this girl. My quirk has a mind of its own, so you need to be laser focused. Keep your mind on your true goal and when your ready, yell from the top of your lungs..."

"BLACKWHIP!" Lucas bellowed, tendrils of black energy shooting out of his arms as they tore away at the gondola cables, freeing the green haired girl before wrapping her up and carefully setting her down on the pavement. "You okay?" Lucas asked the girl

"Yes, I think so." She croaked as she stood up. Like, actually croaked... Like a frog. Is it bad that he found it weirdly adorable?

That train of thought was quickly silenced as Lucas watched in awe as the green haired boy leapt stories in the air, and with a yell of "SMAAAAAASH!", took out the gargantuan Zero Pointer in one hit... before slowly falling to the ground. Something was wrong.

"Oh hell, his legs are broken, look!" Lucas yelled, pointing to the boy's rapidly descending body. If they didn't do something, and fast, that kid was going to plummet to his death.

The green haired girl began to jump up onto one of the remaining skyscrapers, sticking to its surface and launching her deceptively long tongue at the boy, but unfortunately missed

This then led Lucas to once again try to use Blackwhip, but it refused to come out. "Oh what the hell?" He muttered.

"Yeah, shoulda warned you kid, you're body's not fully used to this Quirk just yet. Saving the girl was mostly just adrenaline... and me helping out. It's too draining for you now, so I'm blocking you from using Blackwhip until you rest."

"Rest? But I'm fi-" Lucas most assuredly was not fine as he almost immediately crumpled out of exhaustion, the last thing he heard was a dull thud. Or was it more like the sound of being slapped in the face?

So uh... yeah. Lucas is the tenth user of One For All. To be completely candid, this was not the original plan. Lucas was always meant to be a mimic (and I'll be going into his ACTUAL Quirk next chapter, I promise) but he was never supposed to actually get One For All until WAY later. Basically not until the Overhaul fight. However, I thought that having Lucas start with at least Blackwhip would be pretty cool to see.

But yeah, Lucas having One For All. Basically, his quirk works like Emulation: He's not stealing the quirk by any means, just copying it into his "systems" or in this case, himself. However, I know that comparisons to All for One are going to be made and... yeah, that's intentional. I know a lot of you know doubt have figured it out (or at least think you have), but I won't ruin the surprise. All I'll say is that those comparisons are going to be a key factor into the type of hero Lucas becomes.

But one thing I can confirm: Lucas being the 10th is no fluke, as you will eventually see. Thanks for reading, and I'll try to get the next chapter out as soon as I can
