The barbecue at the now jointed Hopper/Byers home was a loud, crowded affair. Eddie had removed himself from the main event, sitting in one of the chairs with Robin to watch the game of basketball that had somehow started. If he was honest, he couldn't really complain because he got to watch Steve work out and drink beer, so it was kind of fun.

His small crush on Steve had only worsened in recent months as they grew closer and became friends. What had once been a small, embarrassing secret was quickly spiraling out of his control. Thankfully, Steve hadn't noticed, and Eddie was praying he never would.

Robin, however, was a lot more observant. Especially when Steve pulled off his shirt, and Eddie became very interested in the ingredient list on his beer. She laughed, making him blush harder. "Take a picture, it'll last longer."

"Robin!" He hissed, eyes darting to the game, but nobody had heard.

"What? It's not my fault you're sat there practically drooling over Steve." She whistled loudly, getting Steve's attention, and waved at him. He smiled and waved back, making Eddie's heart flutter traitorously. "Do you want me to grab a tissue? Seriously, if you keep giving Steve those fuck me eyes, he's gonna notice."

But Eddie was too busy looking at Steve looking at Robin to respond. He seemed to have understood what she'd said, expression changing to one of surprise, and then his eyes slid over to Eddie curiously, guilty and red-faced. A slow smirk spread across Steve's face, but he was soon distracted by Lucas' shout and returned to the game.

Eddie thought maybe, just maybe, he had gotten away with it.

Until Steve joined them a few minutes later and sat beside him, promptly stealing his beer. When he finished, he leaned in close to murmur, "You do have good fuck me eyes."

Eddie wanted to die when Robin howled with laughter. He scowled at Steve, snatching his beer back, and replied dryly, "Ha ha."

"Never said no, Munson." With a wink, Steve was gone again, leaving Eddie confused and embarrassingly horny.

When the game was done, he was dragging Steve into the first empty room he could find. Something told him Steve wouldn't argue.
