"Here you go. That book on steelmaking." - Andrew

"Thanks Andy!" - Papi

I watch the trade request get accepted.

A few moments go by, then the girl sends me a message that causes me to blink owlishly.

"I can't read this." - Papi

"Huh? Why not?" - Andrew

"It's in a strange language." - Papi

"Well... We're typing in it right now?" - Andrew

"No. We aren't." - Papi

"Ah. Damn." - Andrew

I let out a long groan, palming at my face.

"Send it back to me, I'll copy the words down here so you can read it. I'll expect a little payment if this works, though." - Andrew

"Can you send me a little more Iron to test it after you're done as well? After that, I'd like to buy your remainder." - Papi

"Cash or sword?" - Andrew

"If this 'steel' stuff improves Iron that much, my mom said I should give you a Starfury in exchange. Then the iron was SUPER high purity. We'll give you a silver coin for every pound of metal. Or the weapon equivalent" - Papi

"Are there any other materials you have? Like beyond Iron and stuff? Can you list them really fast? You might have some stuff this world doesn't have." - Andrew

"Oh. We have copper, tin, silver, iron, lead, gold, tungsten, platinum, aerialite, demonite, crimtaine, even some hellstone bars." - Papi

I open my mouth slowly.

"Noooo It couldn't be... could it?" I whisper quietly.

A sigh leaves my lips.

"No... it is."

"I'm Interested in a bar of Aerialite, Demonite, Crimtaine, and Hellstone." - Andrew

"Okay! We can negotiate later!" - Papi

She sends the book back to me, I crack it open letting out a long self-loathing sigh. "Alright. Let's do this."

"Page one" I type.

At least I can bold the text.

It took literally the entire day, but hey. I finished, plus I know how to make steel now. That's fun, I guess.

I perk up. "Hey, that might actually be pretty helpful for turning Iron Make into 'Steel Make'."

"Hey, how'd your mission go?" - Rias Gremory

"I didn't go on one today." - Andrew Graves.

"Andy..." - Rias Gremory.

"Oh It wasn't my anti-social-ness that had me stay inside today. I had to translate that book you got me. Papi couldn't read it." - Andrew Graves.

"Oh! Alright then." - Rias Gremory.

"How's Papi doing?" - Rias Gremory.

"Pretty good. She's reading through the translation right now and she said she'd get back to me. Then she offered to buy the iron for quite a good price. I'll probably be taking the rat mission tomorrow if all goes well. How's learning enchantment?" - Andrew Graves.

"Headache inducing." - Rias Gremory.

"RIP" - Andrew Graves.

I let out a quiet yawn as the conversation slowly dies out, lazily looking down to the book on bolt magic.

I'm mainly figuring out how to create new variants of the 'elemental bolts'

I've mastered fire, mana, and iron bolt.

Now I'm trying to give myself 'Silver Bolt'.

I'm quite lucky I got this book I've come to realize. I'd imagine that converting elements into castable 'bolt magics' won't allow me to make something like 'silver maker magic' so easily, but it's certainly a start.

It's something to read and ponder during trips.

REALLY thankful I seem to have lost my motion sickness... just another reason to never touch dragon slayer magic in this life.

Turns out killing rats is pretty damn easy for a mage... especially one like myself.

Cloth Make serpent has its uses, I suppose.

These magical threads enter the wall, being small enough to not really draw attention of the mice, then they are grabbed, coiled, killed, and stuffed in a large sack.

After that, I took the sack, cloth-make eagle'd, then had it toss them all into a nearby forest.

Thus, around twenty eight thousand jewel is now mine.

I'll be returning to the guild tomorrow in order to snag up another job, this one for sorting books in a library

that should give me enough for those times two glasses... and a pizza to treat myself.

"ANDY! ANDY ANDY ANDY! IT WORKED! OH MY GOSH! THIS IS INCREDIBLE!" - Papi

"Oh? Did you figure out steel?" - Andrew

"YES!" - Papi

I notice her send me a trade request.

A pink sword rests in the trade window.

"Here, I said I'd get you one if it worked, and it did! Here's one of the better Starfuries my mom made. She's also really happy with the steel. It's even better than enchanted gold! That's AWESOME!" - Papi

I accept the trade with a small smile.

A moment later I pull out a fairly large blade.

Instantly I can feel it tug upon my magic, seemingly asking me to guide it.

I tug back my magical power before a star is shot through my ceiling, a smile on my lips.

"Well. Yep. Terraria it is." I sigh, looking over the blade.

I requip the blade away, my requip space is doing quite well now thanks to a little cheat I've been using to expand it!

Hell, I've written a fuckton about it in my 'magic notes' file alongside Thaumaturge magic and Cloth Make.

I tab out quickly reading over my notes.

Magic 3: Requip
Requip comes in two forms, the first, the ability to create a small 'void' in space itself. The void starts small, roughly the size of a pencil bag for myself, and with repeated use of this magic it seems to collect the ambient magical energy of items placed inside to grow larger. (It is worthy of note, this drain does not drain magical items, merely take the excess they put out. If you were to compare it to something, it's like taking the oxygen a plant produces and not the plant's life force.)

The second aspect of this magic is 'marking' an object with your magic. This mark appears quickly and deteriorates just as fast as it leaves a range of about 3 feet from your body. An object mark is what 'collects' this ambient magic. Plus, an object with a mark can freely be shunted in and out of the 'Requip' pocket space. After some trial and error, it was possible to summon the items not in my waiting hand, but this takes more focus and control. Requipping clothing directly onto my body- while theoretically possible- would require a monstrous focus and awareness of my physical body.

Notable training method:
Because Requip relies on the magic items released ambiently, it's possible to 'supercharge' the growth of your requip space by using a material that stores magical energy. It you pour your magical energy into that object and requip it, as it leaks out the magical energy over time, the requip space itself will feed on this energy to grow. This is practically the only way you can use your direct magical power to enhance your overall storage space. The massive bar of silver I have is able to store far more energy than the Iron chunks from the pillar, so I have been using that, and already my storage space has grown to about the size of a chest.

Possible future avenues of progression:
Increasing the distance the 'mark' remains. Requipping a living creature. Attempt to requip myself- only after figuring out some sort of 'delay' or 'clone' magic. Portals.

It has continued to grow.

If I keep this up, before long I won't really need to ever worry about requip space ever again.

I'm almost ready to move that damned piano.

But the thing is, I don't really have a place to put it right now.

So I'd be forced to more or less keep it inside my requip space.

"..."

I mean, having an artillery on demand would be quite interesting.

I go back to writing Papi.

"So, would you like to buy my surplus of iron?" - Andrew

"Yeah!" - Papi

"Here. Magic Glasses. Fahk you." - Andrew Graves.

"Thank you! I'll get started right away!" - Rias Gremory

"By that you mean you're going to read some boring book you've never touched to see if they work, right?" - Andrew Graves.

"You know me so well!" - Rias Gremory

I roll my eyes.

Hopefully this will pay off with some sort of 'Super Devil Gale Force Reading Glasses'.

DXD is certainly more advanced and... let's call it higher tiered than Fairy Tail

I'd say ultimate class would be comparable to the dragon gods here and there's like hundreds of them over there.

"Fuuuuuck I want the boosted gear!" I whine, bringing my hands to my head.

Taking over Ddraig and Albion would be like... the PEAK of dragon takeover.

Er...

Well...

Ophis and Great Red, but still!

I wonder if Takeover would apply to Kaido?

I shake my head.

Anyways, this gamble of tossing 'Rias' Invention' at Ajuka is that maybe we'll get a fucking RIDICULOUS pair or something... like... three hundred and sixty five times normal speed, auto regenerating, recalling if you lost it, genuinely just a bullshit Excalibur level holy grail of an artifact that'll be something people would pass down to their descendants for thousands of years.

Anyways, back to work. I've almost figured out Cotton.

Then...

My eyes flick to several bars sat nearby.

The first, a deep purple. The next, reddish black.

Then there's the blue-gold mixture one, and the fourth isn't even on the table. it's in my requip space as It's constantly at around one hundred and fifty degrees.

That was a total bitch to claim. I can't even begin to fathom how people make armor out of that shit.

Anyways, for the rest of the iron Papi and her mother promised to get me some more... hard to find materials.

Soon enough I should be getting my hands on a smidgen of Palladium, Mythril, and Adamantite.

Not a full bar, but really, I probably don't need a full bar.

"Let's see here."

My eyes stray to my current notes on Cloth Magic.

Magic 2: Cloth-Make
Things created are on average 1.3-1.5 times stronger than the normal variant due to the magic inside of them. This also applies to permanently created materials. Thus, it'll be quite useful for getting my name out there with hyper durable clothing. This durability can be further enhanced by using more magic, but has incredibly large diminishing returns. X2 mana might result in something 1.8 times stronger, x10 might result in 2.2 or 2.3. working on the efficiency would be incredibly useful. Should also probably study spiders as spider silk is better than Silkworm silk in durability. Combined with the magical enhancement it could potentially be quite durable.

Note: Cloth make has a fairly large limiting factor. Primarily the softness of it. Other maker magics can create swords and walls, cloth doesn't do those things well. Though it is worthy of note that cloth make can do things that they can't.
Probably weak to fire magics

Magic 2-A: Thread/Rope Make
The most basic form of Cloth Make, coarse and rough. It is worthy of note that Rope-make also lacks a lot of fluidity of standard cloth make.

Magic 2-B: Linen-Make
The most basic of TRUE cloth maker magics, capable of more fluidity than rope, but is less durable.

Magic 2-C: Wool Make
Good cushioning. HIGHLY absorbent. Moves sluggish when soaked and is harder to control, but the weight of the blows are much greater. A potential counter to fire magics?

The corners of my mouth turn upwards as I find my gaze straying to my first research subject.

Magic: 1: Thaumaturgy.
Future Ideas: Shaped Ethernano. Like... Triangles, cubes and Cylinders. Flatten and add Spin? Like a sawblade?"

Spell 1: Gather:
The most important aspect of Thaumaturgy. Gathering the ambient Ethernano to use for attacks, potentially allowing for Thaumaturgy to be used even while magically exhausted. Gathering magic takes considerable time, thus this is probably not that useful for combat. But it does improve overall magical regeneration by a fair bit.

By performing the spirit bomb chant ("The plants, the animals, the earth, please lend me your energy!") And stance (Arms raised above head, palms skyward), the rate at which energy is gathered is drastically increased. (A staggering 7-10 times), this allows for attacks to be charged relatively quickly- at the cost of mobility- a decent support option as in addition to the regular 'gather' as you can directly recharge your own energy reserves faster than normal.

Spell 2: Expend:
In unison with Spell 1, this allows you to transform your stored mana directly into ethernano. A wizard's magic is far thicker than the magic in the air, so it can be used to very quickly build up the ethernano required for Thaumaturgy spells.

Spell 3: Snap/Implode
By Creating a softball sized orb of Ethernano you can then collapse it in on itself. Stings a little bit and creates a quiet pop. Notes: the word 'Snap' while casting improves the power of this effect by 300-400%, and if you snap your fingers during the casting as well it could even result in a spell that's 5 or 6 times as strong as normal. Clenching your fist is also applicable, but has an overall decrease in power compared to snapping by around 20-25%. (Thus the spell being only 4-4.5 times as strong instead.)

Stronger versions of this spell can be achieved by using more ethernano. At a certain point, after the gathered magical energy begins to eclipse a beach ball, 'Implode' becomes a better word than 'Snap'.

Spell 4: Ignis/Ignis Maxima
Ignis is a word that makes your gathered ethernano highly flammable like gas, but it requires some sort of spark or flame to ignite it. The basic version of the spell creates a gout of fire similar to a flamethrower, with more gathered ethernano, the area and heat of the spell increases.

Ignis Maxima seems to condense all of this heat into a single explosive bolt that is shot off like a missile. It holds its form for around 10-12 seconds before it eventually detonates. If it strikes a target beforehand, it will explode prematurely. The area of the explosion and heat being dependent on the ethernano used in its creation.

Spell 5: Object Manipulation.
By infusing gathered Ethernano into objects you can act like you had some sort of 'pseudo telekinesis'. The amount of ethernano directly corresponds to how easy the object is to manipulate and how fast it will move/how much force it has. Some materials hold more energy than others, in which case, they will be easier to control and be stronger in general. This 'telekinesis' lasts as long as the object still has ethernano, which will begin to slowly leak out. The more energy, the easier it will leak out as there is more to focus on. With more focus, I can slow this leakage, so it's possible that this telekinesis could become second-nature. It may be possible to activate magic items at a range with this, but I don't have one to test at the moment. This could possibly be just flat out telekinesis magic. I'm unsure. If it becomes the case, I'll probably move this to its own tab.

I LOVE magic!

It is genuinely so fun to mess with!

"Silver bolt!" *THUD*

I look to the rapidly evaporating shiny metal. "Hm... that worked. That'll be a good counter for werewolves I guess."

"Costs a bit more than Iron." I note. "But that's to be expected. It's around thirty percent heavier than Iron... but it's softer..."

"Useful for sheer kinetic energy, but it'll deform twice as quickly, potentially softening the blow. Pointed bolts won't pierce armor either, tips will deform before they can do any real damage."

"Let's try this..." I whisper under my breath.

"Crimtane Bolt!"

A red magic circle appears in front of me, a large reddish oblong shape slowly sliding out of it.

It hangs in the air as I look over it, a low hum leaving my lips. "It worked..."

My eyes glow as I delve deep into it, fingers brushing over its surface.

"Slightly warm... but not hot." I note as I look to my fingertips.

"No form of corruption... just red metal... no... it's ore that has been alchemically changed. interesting"

The Crimson washed over an ore vein, turning it into a twisted mockery... that mockery was in-turn heated and reforged, killing that corrupting taint and leaving behind something better... like Steel to Iron.

"I wonder if it would be possible to craft a Night's Edge..." I mutter, looking over the metal.

This marks my first successful attempt at using something from another world to create a spell.

"I wonder..." I whisper, pointing forwards. "Bang."

The reddish metal shoots off like a bullet, smashing into the earth a fair distance away with a spray of earth.

"Hm... about as heavy as Iron... likely far more durable as well." I continue.

I need to pick up some form of Metal maker magic sometime soon.

I stretch my arms above my head, letting out a quiet yawn. "Well. That was good."

I don't really have to worry about money, either... at least for buying fast food. Papi paid quite a lot and I can use her money to buy things from the system.

I turn, walking back to my home.

Hopefully, when I get there... I'll have a reward from Mr. Rob.

I slip through the door, walking forwards. "Let's see here."

A bright grin appears on my face as I take a seat at my desk.

First off, yes. An achievement.

But Rias sent me a message.

"Here. some basic Human Magic books I could find. Thanks for the glasses!" - Rias Gremory

"Oh! Also, here's some books on clothing." - Rias Gremory.

Those messages are a little old, but she has already 'confirmed' her side of the trade, merely waiting for me.

I accept the trade, pulling out an expansive collection of books.

A book on basic elemental manipulation- Teleportation! Yes!

The last of the 'magic' books are on sealing magic... Ofuda in particular, the art of creating Japanese paper seals.

"Huh." I mutter. "Could be interesting. There's something about consumables and crafting magics that interests me."

She also seems to have gotten me several books on sewing.

Primarily women's clothes.

I find a folded piece of paper stuck in one of them, acting like a bookmark.

I open the book, blinking down at a set of lacy underwear.

"When you get silk-make, can you get me a pair of these? Thank you!"

She also has listed her sizes.

I think...

Gonna be honest, those numbers mean nothing to me right now.

Maybe that'll change after I read these books.

"Man. I hope Rias gets me a good pair of gale force reading glasses. I've got so much to read."

She just sent me fifteen books all of them textbook-sized.

Still! I should send her my thanks.

"Thank you! I'll be sure to put these to use... eventually... my main issue now is balancing reading, learning magic, modifying spells, and doing jobs... then, of course, eating, sleeping, and bathing. Could you see if- when you get that guy to make those SUPER glasses, you can get a second pair?" - Andrew Graves

On the topic of eating and sleeping.

I quickly write down something in my notes tab. "Make connection to DnD. Get Ring of Sustenance. Sleeping only 2 hours a day would be SO much better for my time."

I nod once, looking to my other notification.

Achievement Unlocked.
Modify your magic using multiversal materials!
Well, you've done it! You've created a spell that fundamentally COULD NOT exist in Fairy Tail without your intervention! This is a truly monstrous feat... and... ah. Shit. You still have one use of your 'get two rewards out of an achievement' thing, don't you?
Piss.
Oh well!
Possible Rewards:
Option 1: Two Objects from any of your connected worlds (Within Reason)
Option 2: Two Magical Item of your choice (From Fairy Tail) (Within Reason)
Option 3: System Upgrade: Calls and Face Time, Online Gaming
Option 4: Chat Connection Selection. x1

"..."

"Hmmm." I let out a low hum, eyes narrowing slightly.

"Hey. Mr. Rob. Would it be possible to have 'Home Edits' as rewards in the future?"

My computer lets out a chime as a window pops up.

What do you mean?

"Like, you know how in some interactive choose your own adventures you can 'design a base' and get things like 'Indoor theatre' or 'Basement forge' or 'Mana Well'. Basically things like that... also, only one chat connection? I thought this was a 'big' achievement."

Sounds interesting... alright.

I watch option four change before my eyes.

Option 4: One 'Base' Modification that that is overall mundane and can be achieved through mundane means.

"..."

"Fuuuuh." I lowly breathe.

That's good.

He didn't necessarily give me a limit on that.

I could say 'Underground Mansion with a hidden door' right this second and expand my living space a dozen fold.

But option one and two, though...

"Would you let me have Virgo? If I chose option two?"

Yes. Because you know exactly where it is and could likely grab it on your own. If you want to waste your big rewards on something so easy to get, by all means.

"What about other celestial spirits? Like... Draco the dragon?"

Absolutely not. Also. You should be aware now; I've done away with the standard Key system. It's not just Black, Gold, and Silver anymore.

"..."

I add another line to my 'to do' list.

"Learn Celestial Spirit Magic"

"Choice one. Boosted Gear." I point at the screen.

No. Longini are utterly off limits. Same with sacred gears in general, actually.

"Hey now. Sacred gears are TECHNICALLY objects."

If you want one. Twice critical or lower and I'll be randomly picking it. You could get anything from a double jump to a flying dagger.

"Tsk." I lowly click. "What would it take for you to give me a longinus?"

Who knows.

I steeple my hands in front of my face.

"Would my mansion idea work?"

Yes.

"Fuck." I curse quietly.

"aaaaagh. Damn it!"

"If I, say for instance, wished for said mansion to have a fully functioning in-home theatre, would it work?"

Ah. That's the thing. You'd have no electricity. You'd need to find a way to power it with magic on your own as typical power isn't a thing here.

"Alright. Let me ask you this. Papi's from Terraria Calamity. What's the highest tier item that you'll let me get from that world?"

There's no reply for a long moment.

Pre-Plantera.

"What would happen if I asked for a mana Crystal... or a Life Crystal... or... I don't know, the Demon heart?"

Physical and Magical Enhancement. be stronger. Gain more magical capacity and spells will slightly improve in strength. As for the latter? You'd become a little bit demon. Think how the boosted gear can turn some parts of the host into dragons. Your heart will be replaced, the demon heart is far superior to your normal heart etcetera... I'm only telling you this as those would be your 'first' enhancements. anything beyond this you'll have to gamble on if the benefits outweigh the detriments.

I rub my temples. 'Ah. There's genuinely so much I want! Damn it! This is borderline torturous.'

On one hand, House. I can get myself a large nonmagical house underground, the only limit being no power... and likely no traditional plumbing as well-

"Wait! Water Wheels! Solar Panels! Just a fucking crank! You could power the entire house that way!"

Touche. Is this one of your two requests?

"nnnnnno... I need to think about it. Damn."

Maybe I should ask Rias. Going into this without any thought will just result in me not squeezing every little bit of potential I can get from these rewards.

Another question I should be asking myself is 'what do I want more than anything?'

Well, our shut in here appears to be plotting. Trying to grab each and every little thing that catches his fancy.
Who knows what sort of plot he's going to concoct.
I'm partial to the 'Fairy Tail Plant Magic x Terraria Life Fruits' plan myself.
