Chapter Six:

The Desecration of Vos-Ralo

In the years since the Empire's hostile takeover, the people of Vos-Ralo had struggled to continue on with their livelihoods as best as possible, even with Stormtroopers patrolling the streets of their villages every day.

By the start of the Galactic Civil War, the former governor of the planet had rallied 95.9% of his people behind him in a rebellion against the Imperial occupation. For four years, insurgents had struck out against the various Stormtrooper regiments, taking out command posts, and fighting to liberate their home-world as best they could.

Not long after word of Alderaan's destruction reached out, along with word about the Empire's defeat in the Battle of Yavin, more people were inspired to join Governor Uhpryse's revolution against Moff Zerkin's forces. And after the news of the Rebellion's victory at Endor had gotten out, the Vos-Ralo Insurgency's numbers became bigger with more citizens joining.

In a grassy field, one warm day, a Rodian farmer was tending to his crops near his barn. He could hear the sounds of blaster fire in the distance, knowing that it was from a battle between rebels and Imperial forces in the village of Uubee-Jondo, which had been taking place for days now.

Thankfully, the Empire hadn't cracked down on farming on Vos-Ralo, and that was good enough for A'gre'ture. Who needed one's farm to be occupied by Stormtroopers?

A'gre'ture heard rumbling noises from overhead, and deactivated his farming equipment. He looked up, spotting a pair of Imperial-class cruisers and warships looming over the countryside. The seasoned Rodian farmer spotted a pair of specks accompanying the Imperial ships, and pulled out his viewing lenses to observe the development unfolding in the sky.

His heart thumped as he saw the floating satellite dishes emitting traces of crackling energy. TIE Fighters emerged from the Imperial destroyers, and flew over the grasslands, with a couple transports flying towards a village near his farm, carrying AT-AT Walkers.

Moments later, the satellites fired off several pillars of energy that tore through a puffy layer of clouds, and A'gre'ture could feel the air grow cold. Thunder boomed in the distance, and violent winds began ripping at the crops. Several TIE Fighters flew towards his farm, and the Rodian ducked as the incoming Imperials opened fire.

The barn exploded, with pieces flying everywhere, and another fighter flew over, dropping bombs on the crops around A'gre'ture.

He watched with terror as Imperial forces began ravaging Vos-Ralo, annihilating farmland, and slaughtering those who'd fought them, along with the many who'd remained loyal to the Imperial order. And A'gre'ture was caught in the crossfire...
