Day 34
When you wake up you have nothing on your mind, that is except getting up and going about whatever you were going to.
Which you did after stretching a bit.
After you got up a distant part of your mind, a familiar part, tried to get you to go to that large white demi-human.
You, once again, ignored it and ground a better place to lie down.
Then you lay down there.
Eventually though, you did get up from your comfortable place on the ground.
And you did so with a certain sense of determination filling you.
A determination that drove you to begin slamming and clawing yourself. Not because you suddenly wanted to hurt yourself, but because you had a sudden need to be stronger.
So you strengthened yourself. And you kept doing so, despite the blood that pooled on the ground under you, for what felt like forever.
But in actuality it was just a chunk of the day. A chunk in which you realised that it was the struggle that strengthened you.
Still, it was a chunk well spent.
With your whole body aching you just grabbed the nice smelling crystal from the pile and swallowed it, before going to a corner and lying down.
You don't really know when you dozed off, but you're sure you weren't sleep when you did so.
[You've reached high sapience]
When you woke up it'd only been a short while but everything was… different.
Or was it you who saw things differently?
Eh, didn't matter.
Still drowsy from your little nap you lumber out of your den to go and explore the surroundings.
For reasons.
But regardless of reasons, you still managed to come upon an interesting thing in the form of a field of glowing plants. Which made you… oddly calm when you entered it?
Well you did until you shook it off.
Still it helped you when you went back to your den and closed your eyes. Letting you fall asleep instantly.
Day 35
You woke up feeling oddly complicated.
Though, that didn't last long as your mind emptied of non-essential thoughts to prepare for the day.
For a moment you felt the urge to lay back down into the comfortable embrace of the ground.
But then you refused that urge, for you had something you wished to do today. You wished to go to that large white demi-human and learn more about this "cooking" thing.
Because you still remembered how you'd affected that metal you'd eaten, which you now realise was likely what caused your black mist to change into what it is now.
And you also wanted to learn how to understand the two-legs, so you could more easily deal with them, something you didn't really need considering how your last fight with them went.
Still, you went to the large white demi-human as you wanted to and communicated your desire to it.
Something it complied with after an annoyingly long period of just keeping its mouth open and staring towards you.
[You learnt tones for "hunger", "humans", "bear", "clean" and "dangerous"]
[You'll get the general gist of conversations involving these topics]
Getting back to your den from the bear demi-humans, the sounds and what they mean still rattling in your skull, you decide to go back to something simple.
So, collecting some of the meat from your den you hang it in the trees and then hide. The next chunk of the day being spent with you shooting any smaller creatures that approach the hung bait with beams of blackness.
It's a relaxing time.
*crack*
Yeah, your decision to stretch in the fields of calming flowers was a good one.
*crack*
Sure it was still painful. But it wasn't as painful as normal, which is a great thing for you.
More relaxed than in pain, you return to your den and sit down to eat the pile you'd set aside. Which you do at a calm and steady pace.
Once you were full you just plopped onto your side and went to sleep.
Day 36
Waking up to another day, you feel a surge of energy to get on with the day. A surge of energy that probably came from your full stomach.
It's nice to wake on a full stomach.
Much like yesterday, the first thing you do is go to the bear demi-human to learn words.
Though unlike yesterday, it doesn't do the whole annoying staring thing… at least not until you'd learnt a couple of things from it. Then it went into the whole open mouth thing, though not as long as before.
Then it began teaching you about "hostility" and "directions" which… were still understood them of course, but it was unnecessary complications for simple thing.
Still, you knew these directions and how the tone of human and demi-human sounds could mean that they want to attack you.
You also learnt that those fluid filled shells were called "potions". Though you already knew that they could heal you, and you'd much rather have had it answer your query about the ice pillar instead.
Oh, well.
[You learnt tones for "front", "behind", "Cardinal-directions", "left", "right", "attack", "run" and "potions"]
Once again like yesterday, you go and put up the bait for your ambush point.
Then you spend the next chunk of the day using black beams to kill any creatures that appear to eat the meat you've hung. Which turns out to not much.
Still, it was something at least.
Then, completely unlike yesterday, you didn't stop hunting the weak prey. Instead you even went as far as to use the meat you got from the previous hunt to add to the bait again.
Which did the trick as the moment you were hidden again many creatures began to rush towards the hanging meats.
The pile of meat left after you finished was nearly thrice what you used for bait.
Returning back to your den with the new meat pile you couldn't help but look at the hole in one of the walls. The one that you'd made on the day you'd woken up with your new black light breath.
Which gave you an idea.
The idea you immediately went to try out, first moving all the meat into a single corner of the den. Then you begin to lightly, or as lightly as you can, black light onto the walls of the den.
Which you keep doing for a while, slowly expanding it. By the time you're done your den is far larger and seems to be… letting out black mist from the walls?
You didn't exactly care since it didn't seem to affect you, and so you went to sleep for the day.
You Evolve into a...
Nihil behemoth
Nihil behemoths. Behemoths whoese body, blood and even magic is made of the entropic metal nihil.
Something which grants them truly ludicrous amounts of pure simple might. Might backed by the near enfless wellspring of vital energies it posseses.
From: [Scale mail] [Entropy (major)] [Growth] [Liquid mythril reactor] [Disaster] [Devestation]
[You are evolving]
[Error, third party: Keeper of the second gate interfering]

[Tribute offered]
[Communication allowed]
[The Keeper of the second gate found your actions hilarious]
[It is willing to give you an offer]
[It offers you the Dimensional (assisted) tag]
[It says that the tag will become part of you upon your next evolution]
[It says that, it'll allow you to go to, less starved, worlds to harvest causality]
[It says that, as payment, it will take half the causality you generate]
[It says that it will only do it till you can control causality yourself]
[The Keeper of the second gate is happy]
[It shall watch your future with great interest]
[Adding new tag]
[Resuming evolution]
[You have evolved]
Personality: Murder lizard that can hold off murdering for long term profit. Now prioritise any shell material (metals) over shell-less (armoured or low armoured) two legs, seeing as they're not really good eats Loves eating metals enough to make deals (may spare lives)
Day 37
When you woke up it was to a familiar, if distantly remembered, feeling of pressure on your back. Except this time it also came with a change in your mind.
Something you knew because you realised that you were wondering what you were. Something you remember having never done before.
Which actually made it relatively easy to ignore, especially in favour of your bodily changes. And what changes they were.
Not only were you now large enough to need to crouch in your den, but you were now also a two-leg, or humans as they're called, now! Except with another pair of limbs, but still.
You now walked on your two back legs.
Which is nice, especially since your upper limbs, all four of them, now seem to be far easier to manipulate and use to manipulated things. This, combined with that weird feeling in the back of your head, telling you you could… leave the world for a bit?
Well, regardless. This change was far more drastic than the previous time it happened.
Truly, your change was a great thing.
Because not only could you chase down and grab those annoying deers, at least once you got used to running in this new form of yours, but you could also grab up to three of them in one go and then use your fourth free limb to snap all their necks.
Truly, the snapping sound were great.
Also, you discovered that when you ran at your fastest speed the wind began to feel like a pleasantly warm blanket now. Which was nice.
Of course, with the deers now in your claws you did the thing you always did. Go to trade them for the metal with the bear demi-humans.
So, stuffing the deers under your middle limbs, half under each limb, and casually trotted over to where you knew the big bear demi-human was.
Or little bear demi-human now, seeing as it barely reached half your height now. Still, didn't stop you from dropping the corpses in front of it before taking a seat as it began doing it's whole "standing there with open jaws" thing again.
Though, this time you could actually feel something from it. Something which got clearer, when you focused on it, and was quickly revealed to be… shock? Huh, you didn't know how you knew that, but you did.
That must mean that the "what the fuck" sounds it was repeatedly making must be the sound they make when shocked. Fear as well, judging by what you could feel.
Well, regardless of that. Eventually, it stopped being shocked and finally began to swap the deers you gave it for the metal.
Which unfortunately was barely enough to fill one of your upper limbs due to your increased size. But still, it was good enough and so you took it and left, returning to your too small den.
You really have to fix that soon.
[You can now understand shocked & fear emotional reactions]
*Crack*
*Woosh*
It was strange to do the stretches in your new form, mostly because your instincts now also made you stretch your new limbs.
*Crack*
*Woosh*
It was also weird that, any time your bones cracked, there was the sound of rushing air.
*Crack*
*Woosh*
Still quite useful though, with how it chases away any annoying creatures that try to distract you.
Returning to your too small den, ice silver metal in claw, again you crawl in before dragging all the food into the centre.
Then you sit down and begin the process of devouring everything.
The ice silver went down your gullet first, and tasted as good as you expected. Then came the metal that was left over from the dead humans, which tasted alright. Then, finally, was the piles of meat.
Piles of meat which had been almost equal in size of you merely yesterday, but was barely a snack now.
Still, you finished all the meat anyways and managed to fully fill your stomach for before lying down to sleep.
Day 38
You woke up to a cramped space, and with your head half buried in the roof
Yeah, you need a better den.
Looking back at your den you take it in, before turning and beginning your, short, journey to the top of the mountain. Your lengthened stride eating the white powdered ground in huge chunks as you leapt over trees and rivers.
Once you were at the top of the mountain though, you were hit with the urge to do some quick hunting.
Something you thought would be relaxing, if you hadn't found a nest of some familiar insects. Even if they looked different you'd recognise that attempt to mess with your mind anywhere.
Yeah, no.
You wind your claws back, feeling power pool in them as you do.
*BOOOM*
Letting out a breath, one which melted the ice off a nearby branch, you ignore the stone and soil that sprays you. Instead, you look closely at the original target of your strike.
But you didn't relax, when you found it in a pile of glowing blue mush in the centre of a crater. No.
Instead, you gave it a few more stomps to ensure it was completely dead.
Stupid mind messing bugs.
[Personality trait added: Hatred of butterfly-like creatures, psychotic hatred for mind controlling butterfly-like creatures]
Munching on the blue mush, that was those bugs, you made your way back down the mountain.
You didn't feel like staying there anymore, especially after you found those bugs up there. Instead, you planned on hunting something worthwhile down at the base of the mountain instead.
Because there has to be something strong down there, where there aren't any bugs to mess with your mind, you can hunt…
Which, as it turns out, is true. Since shortly into your hunt you found yourself snaking up to a bird sitting on a tree. One which seemed to be quite strong, judging by the cold you felt drifting from it.
Seeing the perfect opportunity presented you slowly began sneaking up to the bird, preparing to pounce on it and rip it apart.
Something that should be easy. You'd done it many, many times before after all.
However, as you suddenly felt the ground beneath you start collapsing under your feet, you realised that you had overcommitted. Because while you had done this many time before you had not done it nearly as often in this new form.
Which didn't matter in the end. What mattered was that you were momentarily at the mercy of the prey in front of you.
Something, it didn't let go from its grip as it hit you in the face with a blast of blue so cold it caused the metal on your face to crumble off, sending metallic black blood dripping onto the ground.
But then you recovered, and prepared to show the creature before you, which was now flying away, your true might. To show it the power you used to kill things far tougher than it.
So you took a deep breath, lines of pure darkness lancing over your metallic skin as you did, before releasing a narrow lance of darkness. So dark it seemed to eat the light.
And, while it tried to pathetically dodge the beam, it was hit by it, with a flash of darkness blooming from the impact.
A flash of darkness that momentary blinded you to the true danger rushing towards you, at least until it was too late. Because it was only when the blue wave was right in front of you that you realised it was there.
And as it hit, you felt it begin to peel the metallic outer skin on your front. Then you felt it begin to tear at your actual skin. Then, when it finally began to tear into your muscles, you realised something.
That this thing, which was merely meant to be a challenging prey, was actually going to kill you. A thought that caused your line of thought to rattle about in your mind in a primal panic.
Only to hit that feeling in the back of your mind, the one that whispered of leaving the world, causing your vision to change from blue to a kaleidoscope of colours.
