Hazel had been reading in her room at the boarding house when Death appeared next to her. Jumping at the surprise, "Jeez! Don't do that!" Finally calming her heartrate, she asked "What's going on?"

"Somehow the witch is here. Those who helped her, their souls have been reaped to be never more."

Hazel paled, "Oh no, I need to get to Nik." Hurrying to get dressed, she asked the question even if she already had an idea, "Who's the witch?"

"Ester Mikaelson" Death replied.

Sighing at what she knew she had to do, she nodded. "I'll be sure to send her back, can you make sure she's not a problem after this?"

Death nodded, "Of course, Mistress."

Hazel nodded and began to pull her magic around herself.

~~~
Hazel had tried to call Nik at least thirty times. Damon offered to meet her at the Originals, but she was terrified he would be hurt. Especially since no one was answering her calls. She had just apparated to outside the house and hurried inside. The house was silent, no sign of Nik or his siblings. Worried Ester already had them, she sent her magic out to find them. It showed they were in the dining room.
Making herself invisible, Hazel entered the room and found Ester fawning over Finn while the others watched from a distance. She had made her way over to Nik and gripped his hand in hers. He squeezed hers in return. Standing on her tip toes, she put a silencing bubble around them. "It was her, Death came to me."
Nik gave a single nod before whispering, "She linked us. Finn offered to die, to end us." He couldn't see her but could tell she had heard him with her grip on his hand.
"Take my blood and give me yours" she whispered, an idea coming to her.
Nik was about to refuse when he felt his wrist slice open. Hazel took as much as she could without being seen. Finishing, she sliced her wrist and held it up to his mouth. His siblings could smell her blood because they all glanced at Nik. Once he finished, Hazel healed herself.
Nik could tell something was different, he normally felt high when he drank from Hazel. This time, he felt powerful. This must be how Hazel felt. He whispered to his siblings, "Get ready."
Hazel knew her eyes were black, she could feel her magic spreading out and covering the siblings. Once she knew they were protected, she became visible.
Ester turned, confused, "How did you get in here?" She paled when she looked the girl over.
Nik came to stand by Hazel, "What do you need from me luv?"
"Keep Finn away."
He nodded and motioned to the others. They ambushed Finn, leaving Ester vulnerable.
"I'm the Original witch! You can't stop what I've begun! I must redeem myself with my sisters!"
"I can and will. You're no match for me, nature witch." Hazel growled, gathering more magic.
"There is no one more powerful than I! I escaped Death and a mere girl won't be the one to send me back."
"You're trying to kill my family. We know you're planning to kill all vampires. You're a selfish bitch who will pay." Hazel threw her magic at Ester, encasing her hands and legs in stone.
"How" the woman gasped.
Nik walked over to Hazel when the threats were immobilized. He could see the power still flowing through her, like the night she broke his curse. "Luv" black eyes met his.
"Nik, I have to send her back to Death. He won't accept anything else." Hazel couldn't look at Bekah, didn't want to see her pain or anger. "I'm sorry."
He knew she was speaking to his siblings, he wanted the woman dead. Gripping her hand, he gasped at the magic but held it tightly. "Do it luv, we all understand."
Bekah walked over, "It's okay Hazel. We all know there's no other choice."
Ester was screaming, she couldn't believe her children were going along with this. "I'm your mother! You can't do this!"
Elijah and Kol glared but Hazel replied, "A mother doesn't try to murder her children."
Finn had wanted to die, he hated being a vampire and he had almost had his wish. Looking at Hazel and his siblings, he finally realized he had been wrong.
"Death, you Mistress calls you." Hazel called out, still holding Niks hand.
"Mistress" All of the siblings' pale at the new person.
"Ester Mikaelson. Her soul is yours." Hazel tells him.
Death nods and moved towards Ester. He stands before her and smirks, "You thought you were free of me. All you did was cause thousands of witches to be reaped. Your soul will follow, you went after my Mistress' family."
Ester screamed as shadows encompassed her and Death ripped her soul out and sent it to where he had been keeping Mikaels. He was going to torture them for the next millennia. Once he was finished, he looked to Hazel, "My job is done, Mistress."
"Thank you." Hazel nods. Looking to Finn, she's curious at the magic surrounding him. Walking towards him, Niks hand still in hers, she squints before reaching a hand out and snapping the cords.
Finn collapses, he felt his mind become clear. Looking up to Hazel, he gasps, "Thank you, my mind is mine again."
"You're welcome." Hazel looks to the others and waves her hand, "You're unbound now."
The siblings all thank her and ask what she did to Finn. She explains that she unbound him from the magic their mother had him tied up in. Nik was tired of sharing her with the others and pulled her from the room.
Shutting his bedroom door, Nik lifts their still bound hands, "Luv, you need to release the magic."
Hazel hadn't eve realized she was still holding it to her. Taking a deep breath, she slowly released it and felt herself relax. Looking back up, she asks "Better?"
Nik nods, "Better" leaning down, he takes her lips with his. "Now, let's burn off all this extra energy." Hazel squealed when he flashed them to the bed.
~~~

Nik shoved his mother's coffin into the hidden room. He knew she was dead, forever now, but her body was back where it belonged. He worried about burying her, she was a powerful witch and would release her magic into the land. He didn't want that magic released to the wrong people.

Kol had agreed with him, he knew how dangerous the Original witch's power could be. He may not be able to practice anymore but he still appreciated the power and practice. Kol thought Hazel was very interesting, he had heard of core witches, even met a few but they were nothing like her. He wished he could do magic like her, the twins told him they would keep their magic if they turned, and he wished he could have.

Rebekah had washed her hands of her mother. She knew Hazel had to do what she did and held no ill will against her. She had wished Ester could have loved them, but she only wanted to kill her children and end all vampires. George had been an amazing comfort in all of this, it was so nice that she didn't have to worry about Nik killing him.

Elijah was happy to have his siblings together and happy. Their mother's death hadn't affected him, it was hard to feel anything when she had hated them so much, she wanted to kill them. He enjoyed watching Nik and Rebekah with Hazel and George, they were in love, and it gave him hope. Maybe the rest of them could finally find someone and settle down.

Finn felt free. Hazel had released him from his mother's magic. He had hated himself and his siblings enough to try to kill the. He had felt horrible about the whole thing but luckily, none of his siblings held it against him. They were just happy to have him back.

~~~
Hazel stared at the letter an owl had just delivered, Ron and Hermione were getting married. Her bedroom door opened, the twins rushed in with their own letter. "I can't believe they're actually getting married."
Fred and George snort, "So much for being the" "Smartest witch of the age."
Hazel smirked, she knew they were some of the very few who knew what Dumbledore had done. Her grades had surprised him so much, he made sure they were kept quiet. He couldn't have his puppet appear intelligent. "We could always introduce the Originals to the British Wizarding World. Really shake things up over there."
The grins on the twins' faces would have scared a sane person. Hazel may not want to be a part of that world, but she would support her friends in their marriage. With that in mind, she text Nik she was on her way over. They needed a plan.
~~~

Arriving to Grimmauld, Hazel looked up at it with a cold look. She hadn't been back since they had used it to hide out during the war. Sighing, she straightened up and headed in. Hazel had decided to come before bringing the others, the house needed cleaned before she brought another being here. Kreature had fallen during the battle after leading the other house elves in the name of Regulus, so she didn't even have him here anymore.

The place was quiet, almost too quiet. Hazel had the goblins lockdown the house so at least she wouldn't have to worry about critters hiding out. Unfortunately, it didn't stop dust, dirt, grime, and darkness from collecting. Hazel waved her hand as she walked through the house, cleaning it with her magic. She knew the kitchen would be the hardest place to clean so she would save it for last. The bedrooms were cleaned and ready in no time. Hazel had set up the Master/Mistress suite up as her own space. When she made it to Sirius' room, she froze.

The room still held his scent, firewhiskey and leather. Sighing, Hazel walked in and began to look through his belongings. She shouldn't have done it alone, too many memories to sort through. They may not have gotten a lot of time together, but she missed him, Damon had told her plenty of stories about her family and she felt cheated.

Knowing she needed help, Hazel sent a patronus to Remus. Other than letters, she hadn't seen him since the battle and knew he missed her. While she waited, she cleaned up Regulus' room.

~~~
Remus entered Grimmauld in a rush, he was finally going to see Hazel after months of only letters. He knew she had been with Damon, he owed the vampire so much for keeping her safe and raising her.
Hazel felt the moment he entered the wards and rushed down the stairs to greet him. Seeing him looking for her, she rushed up and hugged him, "Remy! I've missed you so much!"
Remus squeezed Hazel tightly to himself. He relaxed after finally see her, she was still his cub. Pulling back to look at her face, he smiled, "I missed you too Hazel. You're looking a lot healthier than the last time we seen each other."
Hazel smiled, "Yeah, well, Damon made sure I had a good diet and blood to get back to normal."
Remus nodded, he could smell Damon on her but there was someone else. "Just Damon?" He raised a brow at her blush.
"Stop sniffing me, damn werewolf." Hazel grumbled, "There's someone else. He's coming as my date for the wedding, so you'll meet him then."
Remus nodded, "Fine. I can wait." Looking around the house, he noticed how clean it looked. "So, what did you need my help with?"
Hazel sighed, "Siri's room. I wanted you to help me sort it and take whatever you want."
Remus froze, he wanted to decline but he knew Hazel wouldn't have asked for help unless she absolutely needed it. "Okay" he gathered himself, motioning to the stairs, "Let's do this."
Hazel gave a small, sad smiled and led the way upstairs.
~~~

Hazel arrived back to the boarding house with a smile on her face. Remus had made her join him for dinner and she was introduced to Teddy, her godson. Tonks and Andy had been happy to see her too. Hazel had to promise to visit soon before they would let her leave.

Walking into the house, she could hear voices coming from the living room. Following them, she was surprised to see Damon, Nik and the twins. "Hey guys, what's going on?'

Damon smiled at her and Nik walked over to greet her. Hugging her, he freezes, "Why do you smell like wolf?"

Hazel laughed, "Remus, he helped me with Sirius' room. He smelled you on me and asked the same."

Nik nodded but looked confused, there was another scent, but he couldn't figure out what it was. He didn't realize it but he sniffed her again.

Hazel and the others watched him curiously, she whispered "Nik?"

"There's something else, like a wolf but not?" He replied, still confused.

"My godson, Teddy. He's Remus son but he's not a wolf."

Damon walked over, "Stop sniffing her." Nik laughed as she was pulled away from him. "How's Remus been?"

Hazel told him what Remus had been doing since she left. She had made him her proxy in the Wizengamot, she may have had no plans to live there but she knew he would use her seats to help everyone.

When she told the twins Grimmauld was ready for their visit, they were shocked. The last time they had been there, it was dark, dirty and just plain creepy. Now they couldn't wait for the wedding and to shock the witches and wizards by introducing Damon, Care and the Originals.
