Hachiman rarely gave any attention to girls but this new transfer,Tomie Kawakami...just didn't sit right with him. His instincts told him something was wrong about the girl but there was no way he could tell if it was the fact she was so different than him, that she possessed a unique combination of qualities that made her stand out from all others, or that she was so pretty. Hachiman hated looking at people. People were so superficial.

The way she moved around the social hierarchy of the school was...unnerving.Almost all of the boys he knew of had fallen head-over-heels for her in less then a week, even Hayama which never fell for a girl.

Luckily, Hachiman hadn't fallen head over heels for her, not yet anyway. If he was honest,he would say that he barely tolerated the girl in comparison to others. He wouldn't dare admit it aloud though in fear of being mauled by her goons.

Unluckily though,It seemed like Tomie didn't like the fact that Hachiman wasn't like the others , either. When they first met, she stared at him in such a predatory way that he nearly ran away screaming. It was only because the other girls were looking at him that he stayed calm and maintained eye contact. Hachiman was not the type to let someone know he was scared, even less when that someone happened to be someone as intimidating as Tomie. So, he ignored her completely, hoping that she'd leave him alone and move onto the next victim. But, apparently, that was not going to happen anytime soon.

"Hikigaya-sannn!"A overly joyful, feminine voice called out to him as he exited the school building. He turned around and glared harshly at the girl whose name had suddenly become one of the most popular in the school. Tomie smiled at him flirtatiously and waved happily, walking forward with a skip in her step. As usual, she looked stunningly beautiful, especially since she had taken off her blazer and unbuttoned the top few buttons of her blouse that revealed a sizable bit of cleavage.

"Kawakami..."Hachiman responded shortly, trying to keep his face expressionless. He really didn't want a repeat of the last time he got too distracted by a girl.

"Well,"Tomie began, "you look very handsome today."

She smiled innocently up at him but there was an underlying threat behind it.

"I'm always handsome.", Hachiman said calmly.

"Yes,you are.", Tomie laughed flirtatiously, placing her hands around the back of Hachiman's neck as she leaned up on tiptoes and lightly placed a kiss on Hachiman's cheek. She released him, smiling up at him once again.

"But, you look even better when you're scowling.", she purred seductively before giggling and skipping away as Hachiman sighed heavily in defeat, trying his best to hide the blush that covered his cheeks as Tomie walked away.

After school finished,Hachiman headed towards the subway station, still feeling the imprints of Tomie's lips on his cheek. As he waited for the train to arrive he mused to himself how he had a feeling that this wasn't the last time she would approach him.
