Author's Note: Heeeeyyyyy. Happy New Year! It's been a while.
If you're a reader of my other book you'll notice I haven't updated in a while and this is purely due to the fact that I've been busy with school, work and getting myself published. But lately, I've been getting the fanfiction bug and I thought it's time I revisit this old site and what better way to do so than to come with a brand new story. I promise to update my other book as well in due time.
So let's go, shall we?
Disclaimer: I do not own any of these characters, or the WWF or stuff like that. I only own Lacey Michaels and some other OC's I might make up along the way. This is a pure work of fiction and all these events occurred in my head.

Chapter 1 – The Champ Is Here
"The winner of this match and new, World Wrestling Federation, Women's Champion… Lacey Michaels!" Howard Finkel announced as the crowd erupted in cheers. Lacey Michaels had just won the tournament after pinning Sable and had been crowned with the long vacated WWF women's champion. She was currently being lifted up by Triple H and Shawn Michaels as Chyna and Rick Rude clapped and watched proudly.
"A great match and a well-deserved victory" Jim Ross commented from ringside sounding impressed.
Owen watched intently from the Hart Foundation locker room with a smile on his face. He was a fan of the young Michaels. She had dazzled him with her sweet personality coupled with her in ring skills he just couldn't be happier for her.
"You go girl. You go!" Owen cheered from his locker room as he got ready for his tag match with his brother which was the main event.
Speaking of his brother…
Bret walked out of the bathroom and stared at the TV screen with disgust as he saw the bright smile on Lacey's face as she celebrated with the new title.
"If they wanted to put the title on any brainless talentless bimbo they should have gone for Sable" Bret said with a scoff.
"Bret!" Owen exclaimed. "She is not brainless or talentless. You would know if you ever watched any of her matches or talked to her" Owen said. Bret scoffed.
"Please, Shawn's sister is the least of my priorities right now." He said as he slung the WWF championship over his shoulders. "What's on my mind is serving up a few to Shawn and Austin and winning those titles. Now c'mon let's get going" Bret said. Owen nodded and went on his way with his brother.
While walking to the gorilla, they spotted Hunter, Shawn and Lacey who were still bursting with excitement. Hunter and Shawn departed from her and she came walking past them with a smile on her face.
"Hey, congratulations Lace!" Owen greeted cheerfully. "You deserve it" He said stretching out his hand for a handshake. She smiled and stretched out her hand to him too but her hand was slapped away by Bret. She looked at Bret with confusion.
"Stay out of my way" Bret warned as he narrowed his eyes at her.
"I…"
"Let's go Owen" Bret said pulling his brother away leaving Lacey standing there, confused and a bit hurt.
"That was so unnecessary man" Owen said. "If you don't like her that's fine but she's my friend" Owen said.
"Whatever. Let's just get out there" Bret said to his brother who sighed deeply. He knew Bret had his beef with Shawn and while Shawn could be an ass at times, he didn't want it extend to his sister especially when she was one of the nicest girls around.
Owen shook his head. He loved his brother but he knew the pole was far too up his brother's ass for him to be reasoned with.
Meanwhile…
"If it isn't our new champ… hey, why do you look so down?" Chyna asked noticing the younger Michaels looking down. "Hey, you just won the coveted title. You should feel be on top of the world! Though I could beat you with my eyes closed" Chyna joked in an attempt to cheer up Lacey.
This worked as a small smile appeared on her face.
"I know. And trust me, I'm over the moon with joy. It's just Bret that…"
"Bret did what?" Shawn asked as he stepped into the locker room with Steve Austin. "What did Bret do darling?" Shawn said as he went up to his sister's side looking concerned. "If he hurt you I swear to God…"
"No he didn't. But he was just being an ass." Lacey said with a sigh. "Owen was congratulating me on the win and Bret just pushed my hand away from him and told me to stay out of his way."
"Oh, so Bret was just being himself then" Shawn sneered. Lacey sighed. "Hey, don't let him rain on your parade sis. You're better than that. You're the WWF women's champion now. Carry yourself like it" Shawn said with words of encouragement towards his little sister.
She nodded as she looked back up at him and smiled.
She had been in the WWF for less than a year, having made her debut at the beginning of fall the year prior. She started getting into the ring in February and had been a mainstay as one of the few talented women in the business. She also advocated for the reinstatement of the women's championship and to be the first in a long time to hold it meant a lot to her.
She hoped it would be the first of many achievements to come.
"Congrats on the title Heartbreaker" Steve Austin said to her as he called out the nickname he gave her. She flashed her pearly whites at him.
"Thanks Steve." She said. "Well, I guess that's a wrap for tonight. Or am I accompanying you guys to the ring?"
"Well, actually…" Shawn started with an evil gleam in his eye. "…Vince actually gave all of us the green light to do whatever we deem as entertainment worthy for this DX vs Hart Foundation Feud. He said whoever seems more over with the crowd will come out on top. Soooo…"
"Why do I feel like I'm not gonna like where this is going?" Lacey asked.
"Be the one to cost Bret the match. You'll be out there on commentary. The crowd will go nuts." Shawn proposed. Lacey's mouth flew wide open. "C'mon, it'll be fun. Plus, it's a good way to get back at him for that stunt he pulled on you earlier."
"I… I dunno Shawn. Up until today. I've tried my best to stay away from Bret and not get caught up in your puny little feud."
"Oh come on darling, it'll be fun" Shawn egged. "Pleaseeee" Shawn dragged.
"What if Bret sees it the wrong way and comes after me? We both know he's not the easiest cat to deal with." Lacey said still not a hundred percent convinced.
Unlike Shawn who loved being in the spotlight and getting into mischief, she was more reserved. She smiled almost all the time, was nice to pretty much everyone, didn't have a bad bone in her body and had no real enemies.
"Oh come on. I know you're a nice girl but you've got it in you. Plus it'll be fun. It's always fun to mess with Bret" Shawn said with a laugh. Lacey bit her lip nervously before reluctantly nodding. "Yes!"
"In that case, I better go out there then" She said as she slung her title over her shoulder.
"Atta girl. See you out there" Shawn said as he placed a kiss on his sister's cheek and got ready for his match.
The nervousness was evident on Lacey's face and Chyna took a note of it as the young Michaels touched up her makeup.
"You'll do great out there Lace" Chyna said with words of encourage to the blonde. Lacey nodded, slid on her ring jacket, slug her championship over her shoulders and made her way out.
"Good luck sis. And remember, be creative" Shawn called out as Lacey took a deep breath and went out during the commercial break.
'Ón Screen'
"And joining us by ringside is our very own Southern Belle, the new World Wrestling Federation Women's Champion Lacey Michaels. Lacey, how are you doing today? And what prompted you to join us here at ringside today?" Jim Ross asked as he steered her into commentary.
"Well JR, I'm doing fine today thank you. And I'm here because adrenalin is still pumping through my veins and I would like nothing more than to see my brother, Shawn Michaels put on a great show this evening." She said as the Hart Foundation theme blared through the arena.
The crowd erupted into a mixed reaction of cheers and boos as while the Harts and their faction members were heel, they were over with the fans.
Howard Finkel introduced the Harts and they made their way to the ring. Owen turned, breaking his heelish character for a second and waved over to Lacey who waved back at him enthusiastically while Bret, as usual, paid her no mind.
"Well, you don't seem to be on Bret's radar Lacey." Jerry Lawler said.
"Oh, I'm so sad." She teased sarcastically making the two commentators chuckle. After the Harts settled down, Steve Austin's theme blared through the arena and he made his way to the ring then so did Shawn. "You go bro! I'm rooting for you"
"Why don't you ever root for me the way Lacey roots for Shawn?" Jerry asked Jim Ross causing a rouse in laughter from the crowd.
"I don't get paid enough for this." Jim Ross causing the crowd to laugh out even more. With that, the match begun.
"So Lacey, skipping away from the match a bit, you know Sable's gonna want a rematch for the title right?" Jim Ross said. "And there goes Austin with a clothesline to Owen Hart"
"Deadly" Lacey said wincing as she reacted to the match. "And back to you JR, despite the fact that Sable lost during the tournament fair and square during the tournament, I'm not a proud lady neither am I a stingy lady. I am a fighting champion. She can name a time, a venue, a place and I will be sure to defend this title and beat her pretty ass as I do so"
The match went on for a while and Lacey had to admit that she was enjoying the commentary. Maybe she could do this more often.
Maybe.
"Ooh and Bret… Bret Hart about to lock in the sharpshooter on Shawn Michaels… and no, Shawn rolls out of it. That was a close call though" Jerry said with excitement.
"You're not winning so easily Bret, Shawn's a fighter" Lacey spoke into the microphone as she gulped down a bottle of watter.
"Speaking of Bret, what are his chances of winning in your opinion? You know if he and Owen win tonight, he'll become a double champion holding both the tag team championship and the World Wrestling Federation championship" Jim Ross asked. Lacey shrugged.
"Uhh… I'm supporting my brother for obvious reasons but besides that, Shawn's clearly the better wrestler. He's more resilient, enigmatic and always has one or two tricks up his sleeve" She said ominously. That very statement made Bret turn around to glare at her for a second before returning back to her brother. "Oooh, looks like I hit a nerve" She mocked.
Shawn managed to make it to the other side of the ring and tagged in Austin who was energized as he took on Bret and put on a show as usual.
"Hmm Austin, now that is one cool cat. The toughest guy around. Get them Steve!" Lacey cheered on. "I'm a fan"
"We can tell" Jerry said amusedly. The match went on for a while with lots of commentary and at a point it looked like Bret was getting the upper hand.
Then a spot came, Shawn did a moonsault on Owen Hart outside the ring which took both of them out leaving Steve and Bret laying down in the ring.
Lacey studied their positions and noticed Bret getting up a little faster than Steve was and she already heard the referee calling out that the match was to end in the next five minutes.
She saw this as the perfect time to strike.
The Hart Foundation and DX feud wasn't like any other feud. The results were booked on the spot as a result of momentum and so far in the match, it looked like Bret had the most momentum.
Well not for long. As her brother told her, she was gonna be creative.
Slinging her championship over her shoulders, she took her headset off and slowly made her way to the ring catching the eye of Bret who looked puzzled as to what she was planning on doing. She smiled sweetly at him as she approached the apron, still locking eyes with Bret
"What is she doing?" Jim Ross asked. It was obviously a rhetorical question as no one could tell what her plan was. The crowd grew anxious by the second and were on the edges of their respective seats.
What most expected was for her to take a cheap shot and either distract the referee or maybe hit Bret in the face with the title but she did neither of those.
Instead, still smiling sweetly she jumped up on the apron just as Bret was getting up. Once he was steady on his feet he went over to her still looking incredibly suspicious.
"What the hell do you think you're doing blondie?" He asked as he stood directly in front of her. She hadn't made a move yet which worried him but then again, this could as well be a distraction. He knew she was too nice to hit him so he just decided to forget her for the moment and turn back to Steve. That was until she gently touched him and got both of his hands and placed them on her waist.
"By God, what are we witnessing here?" Jim Ross exclaimed.
"Lucky Bret" Jerry Lawler said with a whistle.
Bret's eyes widened as she wrapped her arms around his neck and gazed at him seductively. The camera making sure to capture every second of it. The crowd cheered wondering what would happen next as Austin slowly got up in the corner.
Bret was frozen in place for some reason and kept his eyes on the sister of his rival wondering what she would do next. She slowly went closer to him but just as their lips were about to touch, she pulled away and jumped down, keeping that smile on her face.
The crowd went wild at this with a lot of cheers, laughs, whistles and some boos.
Bret's expression said it all. It turned quickly from confusion, to anger, to indifference as he gave her one last glare before he decided to turn back. Unfortunately for him, he turned right back into a kick then a Stone Cold stunner.
1…
2…
3… Ding Ding Ding!
"Your winners and still, the World Wrestling Federation World Tag Team Champions, Shawn Michaels and 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin!" Howard Finkel announced as the crowd went wild. Lacey with her award winning grin got the two titles and helped her brother into the ring then handed it to the two as they raised the titles up celebration.
Bret Hart looked on in disdain from outside the ring but this time, his anger wasn't directed at his rival and bitter enemy Shawn Michaels. No.
It was directed at Lacey Michaels.
"What a great night for the Michaels siblings and what a show it has been. This was Unforgiven folks. Have a good night!" Jim Ross said as he closed out the show.
'Off Screen'
"While I'm not a fan of you getting up close and personal with that sorry excuse for a human being called Bret Hart, I'm so proud of you!" Shawn exclaimed with excitement as he hugged his sister.
"Thanks. That was exhilarating" She said.
"Lacey Christine Michaels!" Triple H yelled in excitement as he approached them and scooped Lacey up into his arms. "Atta girl. That was funny as hell. Did you see Bret's face? 20 bucks says he actually wanted you to plant a wet one on him"
"Yeah, I wondered why he didn't push you away or something" Chyna said, equally amused. "And while I'd usually go for low blows, that was something. So there is a sneaky seductive mistress under that sweet Southern Belle charm" Chyna poked as Triple H put an arm around her. Lacey laughed.
"Well Shawn did say to be creative. Plus, I figured I'd do something that wouldn't get Bret mad at me. If I hit him with my belt or tripped him or something he would've lost it"
"Oh and you think this was much better?" Hunter asked bursting out into laughter. "Bret looked fucking furious"
"He did?" Lacey asked nervously.
"Yeah. But you're in the clear. Or if anything, he definitely won't come after you. I mean what is even his argument? 'Oh she seduced me'! Ha!" Hunter joked as Shawn and Chyna joined him in laughter. Lacey bit her lip nervously.
"Well, alright then. Imma take a shower then I'll meet you guys later" She said. Shawn nodded while Triple H and Chyna bid her goodbye.
"Later champ." Shawn greeted as she walked off.
"Byeee" She greeted back.
And that was a wrap up on that night. Raw was taking place in the same city so she knew she didn't have much to do in terms of transportation. The guys and Chyna were probably gonna go to a club and celebrate and usually she'd join them and have one or two drinks but all that was calling her name was her bed and pillow.
"Michaels! Hey, Michaels!"
She was almost at the female locker room when she heard someone calling for her. She turned around and her eyes widened.
"What the hell was that stunt you pulled out there?!" Bret's angry voice thundered through her ears.
"I…"
Now, the foot's on the other shoe. I was wondering what it would be like if Shawn Michaels had a sister during the ending of the New Generation Era and well, I came up with this little piece.
I promise regular updates but I would appreciate it if you guys follow, favorite, share and most importantly, review. See y'all in the next chapter!
