Reacting to Kingdom Evil Remake 2.
Chapter Four: The First Episode.
Previously in the last chapter.
For Sora's sake, everyone will react to the world he's in, even if their lives will never be the same ever again upon witnessing the horrors.
"What will it be, everyone?" Fire asked, his voice still serious as everyone turned to stare at him. "Will you stay in my domain and react to the world Sora's in after he vanished on Destiny Islands to learn why that happened, or will you just simply leave because you won't able to handle what you're going to witness on the television? What is your choice?"
"We'll do it," Everyone said firmly, determination coursing through their bodies. They had meant what they thought about reacting to the world Sora's in for his sake and they intend to keep it. "We will react to the world Sora's in to learn why he suddenly vanished without warning whatsoever and if our lives will never be the same ever again, then so be it. We will do this for our friend and his sake."
Fire can sense the determination everyone has inside them and nodded his head once. "Then let the viewing begin."
(In the Present; In Fire's Domain)
Fire waved a single hand to have the lights of the chandeliers dim down to a level where the room was almost dark before turning towards the television and make the screen come to life after waving his hand again. He then stepped out of the way to lean his back against the wall with arms crossed.
Then the viewing officially began.
It was over.
Everyone was heavily confused. They just started watching and the screen is now saying it was over. What was over?
The ancient Keyblade War was finally over, thanks to a group of young Keyblade wielders who had fought bravely and selflessly to protect all worlds, along with its inhabitants, from looming darkness and threats. They are known as the Guardians of Light.
Understanding looks dawn everyone's faces. It was the Keyblade War that was over, not the viewing itself. They can see Fire has a look of amusement on his face and realize he had anticipated this. It appears gods can be quite mischievous.
Everyone's attention went back to the screen, and they became surprised when it showed all Guardians of Light standing side by side with serious looks on their faces as they held their own Keyblades in their hands.
"Ah, yeah! Look at us Keyblade wielders being cool and amazing like heroes!" Lea exclaimed with a smirk, glad to see himself on the screen. He was so far enjoying this.
Everyone either rolled their eyes in amusement or just sighed at what Lea said.
"Hey! How come me and Goofy are not standing by their sides?!" Donald quacked angrily, not liking the fact he wasn't on the screen. He wanted to be seen as a hero as well!
During the Keyblade War, the Guardians of Light fought against an evil group called Organization XIII, led by a Keyblade Master named Xehanort, who had been using the power of darkness to not only summon numerous Heartless, Nobodies and Unversed – creatures who are made from either darkness, nothingness or negative emotions respectively – but threaten the balance of worlds to search for new Seven Princesses of Heart, along with their final vessel for the ultimate plan, which was forging the powerful X-blade.
The screen showed who Master Xehanort is, all the things he has done by using the power of darkness and what the X-blade looks like.
"Xehanort…" The Guardians of Light, Donald and Goofy hissed, glaring at Xehanort's image on the screen. He was the one responsible for making their friend vanished and they will never forgive him at all, not even when he had a sudden change of heart after being defeated during the final battle.
Meanwhile, everyone else was looking at the X-blade with wide eyes, finding its appearance to be highly unnerving. It looked extremely powerful and it's no wonder why Xehanort went such lengths to have it forge, much less acquire it.
The X-blade was said to be one of most powerful weapons in all worlds, utilizing to control and unlock Kingdom Hearts, the heart of all worlds, and an inspiration to forge Keyblades but imperfect models; less powerful as well. It can also use magic, light and dark, making the X-blade a perfect balance weapon.
Unfortunately, the X-blade's legendary power gained many people's attention, including power-hungry ones, which resulted many Keyblade wielders, both good and evil, to a massive Keyblade War that caused terrible destruction, along with many casualties. They wanted to wield the weapon to control Kingdom Hearts for their own desires, which is either wiping away the darkness, become the strongest Keyblade wielder, conquer all worlds with darkness or reshaping the entire universe to one's great will.
The screen showed the very first Keyblade War that took place centuries ago and everyone couldn't tear their gazes away, no matter how much they want to upon seeing so much death and bloodshed being unleashed on the battlefield.
"So, that was how the ancient Keyblade War started years ago," Kairi stated quietly, still unable to tear her eyes away from the screen as the very first Keyblade War continues. "It was never because of the darkness in people's hearts, it was all because of greed. Greed is the reason why that war happened so long ago."
"My god, it's so horrible," Namine said, looking positively ill as she continues watching the terrible war.
"And Xehanort wanted to recreate the Keyblade War like a madman he is to have history repeat itself," Terra growled, clenching his fists tightly. "It's a good thing we stopped him before this could happen."
Everyone agreed, glad Xehanort was stopped before the Keyblade War became much worse where many innocent lives would be slaughter mercilessly. The mere thought chilled them, even Master Yen Sid, to the bone.
The very last one was the reason why Xehanort wanted to forge the X-blade and open the door to Kingdom Hearts. He wanted to reshape the entire universe to his will where light and darkness are more balanced without the former choosing people worthy when the latter falls while learning more about the Keyblade War since not many Keyblade Masters know much about the ancient topic.
But in order to reshape the universe, forge the X-blade and open the door to Kingdom Hearts, Xehanort first needed to gather extremely important pieces, which are seven Guardians of Light and thirteen Seekers of Darkness. Once he had the twenty pieces, he would have them clash against each other in the place where the X-blade was ultimately shattered into twenty pieces: The Keyblade Graveyard.
The Keyblade Graveyard is a barren rocky wasteland where the Keyblade War began years ago before it ended with numerous lifeless Keyblades covering the land. It was also the place where Xehanort first attempted to forge the X-blade by using two hearts, one filled with pure light and the other with pure darkness. He did manage to forge it, but the legendary weapon got destroyed by Aqua and King Mickey when they were fighting the possessed Ventus, who fought his dark half, Vanitas, inside his own mind, eventually winning at the end. Unfortunately, the victory put the young Keyblade wielder into a comatose state, much to Aqua's and Mickey's great sadness.
The screen showed the X-blade's first attempt of being forge at the Keyblade Graveyard, then Aqua and King Mickey fighting against Ventus's possessed self in hopes to free him before switching to him fighting Vanitas in his own mind and eventually winning in the end. It then showed him entering a comatose state after losing his heart.
"Oh, Ventus…" Kairi muttered sadly, hating how Ventus had been used by Xehanort to be forge into a legendary weapon just like her when she got kidnapped during the final clash. Her heart felt like breaking upon seeing him entering a comatose state after losing his heart. "You truly didn't deserve that terrible fate."
"Yeah, man, that's completely messed up," Lea agreed wholeheartedly, giving his friend a look of deep sadness while feeling a wave of great anger towards Xehanort at the same time.
Everyone else was giving Ventus looks of deep sadness, especially Terra and Aqua as they were embracing him tightly with tears in their eyes after setting down their food and drinks in their laps. At same time, they were all feeling a wave of great anger towards Xehanort for causing such pain to someone so innocent and so kind who didn't deserve it at all.
"I know, I hate it as well, but it's the past now," Ventus said softly as he was still being embrace tightly by Terra and Aqua. "The only thing we can do at the moment is move on. There's no point of dwelling on it since it already happened."
Everyone can see Ventus is willingly to move on than dwelling the past since the X-blade's first attempt of being forge already happened. They couldn't help but be highly impressed of this mature wise decision.
Xehanort knew his attempt to forge the X-blade for the first time would be a failure, given how he acted hasty and overlooked the true way. The legendary weapon he tried to forge was actually an artificial one, not the real one itself. Only having the seven Guardians of Light and the thirteen Seekers of Darkness clash against each other will allow Xehanort to finally forge the X-blade, the true one this time, and he was intending to make that happened, even if he had to sacrifice billions of lives in many worlds.
"Damn, that's just very cold," Yuffie stated with wide eyes, even more glad Xehanort was gone after hearing he would sacrifice billions of lives in many worlds just to forge a weapon.
Yuffie's statement caused everyone to nod in agreement. Xehanort truly was a heartless man.
However, there were two problems with the plan. One, Xehanort only had four Guardians of Light, not seven. And two, he was getting old. It could take years for the remaining Guardians to reveal themselves and the old master knew he couldn't afford to wait that long; there's a possible chance he might pass away at old age. Luckily, Xehanort had anticipated the aging problem and came up with a plan: He would gain a new vessel; one who would take place as one of the thirteen Seekers to help forge the X-blade and battle the other Guardians of Light.
'And here comes me being that damn vessel,' Terra thought bitterly, a dark expression appearing on his face as he unembraced Ventus, dried the tears in his eyes and took a drink of his soda.
That vessel was Terra.
'Called it,' Terra thought, the dark expression on his face growing more darker than before.
Ever since Xehanort first met Terra when he dropped Ventus off with his old friend, Master Eraqus, he knew the young Keyblade wilder was the perfect vessel for him. Not because of Terra's skills with a Keyblade or brute strength, but the potential darkness inside his heart. It was faint but it's there, waiting to grow and be used in battles. So, it was decided Xehanort will make Terra his vessel. He could have Aqua as a back up vessel in case things don't go well, but she would be very hard to persuade since she's a firm light believer like Eraqus, only much firmer, and can be stubborn.
"Wait, I could've been Xehanort's vessel?!" Aqua exclaimed a bit shrilly, a look of extreme horror and disgust appearing on her face upon hearing this fact. She had remember Vanitas saying it wouldn't hurt to have a backup after their first battle in Radiant Garden and wondered what he meant by that. But now, she knows what he means, and the discovery made her incredibly sick so much she almost threw up.
A vessel for Xehanort.
Everyone let out a wince at hearing Aqua's shrill voice, but they couldn't blame her the slightest bit after discovering she could've been a vessel for Xehanort.
"Very unlikely, Aqua, considering you were a firm light believer like Master Eraqus," Fire said, getting everyone's attention. "The only way to be Xehanort's vessel was to have darkness in your heart. You didn't have any whatsoever and continue to walk the path of light throughout your journey. Upon realizing this, he chose not to have you as his backup vessel."
Hearing the reassurance from Fire made Aqua feel better, but she was still incredibly sick to discover Xehanort had consider having her as a vessel for his heart. She pushed her food away, no longer hungry as she lost her appetite.
No, it was better to have Terra as a vessel.
The plan to make Terra as Xehanort's vessel had been a brilliant success; the young man didn't even notice the manipulation until the death of Master Eraqus and the final confrontation in the Keyblade Graveyard. Terra did try to stop the old master from taking over his body by donning his armor, but it proved to be futile as Xehanort's heart just managed to get through, eventually taking over the body and battling against the discarded armor Terra tried to don on, which is called a Lingering Will.
The screen showed all the times Terra had been manipulated by Xehanort, the death of Master Eraqus and the final confrontation in the Keyblade Graveyard. Then it showed Terra trying to stop Xehanort from taking over his body by donning his armor, only for this action to be futile as his body got taken over before switching over to the battle between his possessed self and the Lingering Will.
Terra didn't bother to look at the screen as it showed him being an absolute clueless idiot the whole time. He felt nothing but disappointment and anger inside him for not noticing Xehanort's true intentions. He was such a blind fool.
Not only did the possessed Terra lose the battle to the Lingering Will in the Keyblade Graveyward, but also Aqua in Radiant Garden, the latter tracking him down after placing Ventus in the Chamber of Waking and hearing Terra's voice. After the battle, Xehanort felt Terra's resistance inside the possessed body, which forced the former to flush out the latter's heart and into the Heartless Guardian, known as the Dark Figure, much to Aqua's horror. Then the possessed Terra falls into a materialized dark portal that leads to the Realm of Darkness and Aqua jumps in to save him, only to sacrifice herself when she quickly realizes she couldn't save both herself and him.
The screen showed Aqua placing Ventus in the Chamber of Waking, tracking Terra down to Radiant Garden after hearing his voice and fighting his possessed self in an extreme intense battle before switching to Xehanort feeling his resistance inside the possessed body after the battle comes to an end, forcing him to flush Terra's heart out where it went into the Heartless Guardian.
Those who haven't seen the Heartless Guardian before recoiled backwards in their seats fearfully. It was honestly the most terrifying thing they have ever saw.
The screen then showed Terra's body falling into the materialize dark portal that leads into the Realm of Darkness and Aqua jumping in to save him, only to sacrifice herself after quickly realizing she couldn't save both herself and him.
Nobody had the heart to tell Aqua she didn't really saved Terra, but only Xehanort. Her sacrifice had been in vain. Apparently, she realizes this as well and became devastated at the fact her heroic action have cost many worlds to suffer by the darkness, only to remember Sora had restored them with peace.
But despite sacrificing herself into the Realm of Darkness, Aqua was glad she saved someone who had once been a kind and dear friend to her ever since they first met as children. Since then, peace had reign over many worlds.
But peace didn't last very long.
Turns out, the possessed Terra Aqua saved from being trapped in the Realm of Darkness wasn't really Terra himself but Xehanort. His heart still remains in the body, but he has no recollection of memory whatsoever, due to the separation of Terra's heart. All Xehanort remembers is a name…his name exactly. Other than that, nothing.
After being nursed back to health by a man name Ansem the Wise, ruler of Radiant Garden, Xehanort became one of his apprentices and began doing research of Ansem's report, which is the darkness that lingers in people's hearts.
The screen showed Ansem, along with Dilan and Braig, finding an unconscious weak Xehanort laying on the ground in the central square of Radiant Garden and nursing him back to health before letting him become one of his apprentices. It then showed Xehanort doing research of the darkness that lingers in people's hearts report as a scientist.
Ansem had made many mistakes in his life with some involving people to become hurt because of his quest for revenge, but the ultimate mistake was letting Xehanort become one of his apprentices after nursing him back to health. Because of this decision, the Heartless and Nobodies were created, and many worlds have fallen into darkness.
Ansem will always be guilty for the rest of his life upon letting Xehanort become one of his apprentices after nursing him back to health.
It didn't take long for the Heartless to be created after a couple of experiments and Xehanort chose this time to study them, recording what he sees in very detailed reports under Ansem's name while stepping into darkness so that he can control the Heartless at the same time. After all, wielding darkness is the only way to control beings that are made of, well, darkness.
The Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee perked up upon hearing the very detail reports. So, it was Xehanort the whole time who had been studying the Heartless and recording all of his findings in those reports, not Ansem. He had just been studying the darkness that lingers in people's hearts to see if there's a way to extinguish it to prevent worlds from falling into darkness.
In the process of studying the Heartless with fellow apprentices and stepping deeply into darkness, Xehanort eventually found the very core to Radiant Garden, which led to the collapse of the world's boundaries. Then King Mickey arrived in Radiant Garden by using the Gummi Ship, befriended the real Ansem and explained what he learned in the outside world. This made Ansem concerned and worried that his research about the darkness in people's hearts may have brought the destruction and suffering to many worlds, including his own world.
Ansem could've never been more right in his life.
Ansem's research did indeed bring destruction and suffering to many worlds, including his beloved home, and it was all because of Xehanort and the apprentices he had foolishly trusted. He confronted them after discovering the research, but they banished him to the Realm of Darkness, making the ruler of Radiant Garden become resentful and bitter at the betrayal of the six apprentices. He vowed to get his revenge.
The screen showed Ansem confronting his apprentices after discovering the research they have been doing, including the experiments, only to get banished to the Realm of Darkness by them, making him become resentful and bitter as he vow to get his revenge.
"Master Ansem, I am so sorry," Ienzo said with absolute regret and sadness in his voice as he turned to face Ansem, who had his eyes closed. "It's my fault for helping Xehanort create the Heartless and doing those experiments when you told us to stop."
"No, young Ienzo, it is my fault," Ansem said morosely, shaking his head while still having his eyes closed. "Not only did my research brought destruction and suffering to many worlds, but my decision to let Xehanort become one of my apprentices had led to the creation of the Heartless. If there's anyone to blame for everything that has happened, it is me."
Everyone was giving Ansem looks of sympathy, especially Mickey and Aqua. They both learned he had made many mistakes and was trying to repent them. In a way, he already repent some by stopping the original Organization and help create a replica body for Namine.
Roxas was internally conflicted. On one hand, he was still extremely angry at Ansem for trapping him in that damn data Twilight Town like a cage animal. But on the other hand, he can understand his desire to get revenge after being banished to the Realm of Darkness by his apprentices. However, there was no need for the resentment, bitterness and a desire for revenge to be taken out on him. It had been really both foolish and stupid.
Right after Ansem got banished into the Realm of Darkness, Xehanort began doing the finishing touches on the main computer of Radiant Garden, which holds so much information about the research Ansem had done over the years, and his reports that explains his intentions to seek out Kingdom Hearts so that he can gain ultimate power, control and knowledge. It was around that time the Heartless began to attack Radiant Garden and took so many innocent lives without stopping.
The screen showed Radiant Garden being attacked by the Heartless without stopping even once while taking many innocent lives at the same time.
'This is all my fault,' Aqua thought miserably, tears threatening to spill from her eyes as she watches the Heartless attack Radiant Garden, a peaceful world full of light, and taking many innocent lives without stopping. 'If I didn't save Xehanort when I originally thought it was Terra, then many worlds wouldn't suffer by both the darkness and the Heartless. This is all my fault.'
The Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee turned their gazes away, not wanting to see their home get destroyed by the Heartless when they have already seen it first-hand before.
Luckily, a few people managed to escape the slaughter in Gummi Ships and seek refuge in other worlds. However, in the process of escaping, Radiant Garden became no more and fashioned a new name: Hollow Bastion.
After doing the finishing touches, Xehanort then divided himself into two different beings; one was the Heartless commander named Ansem, the fake one, and the other was the Nobody commander named Xemnas, the leader of the original Organization XIII. With both beings created and having the memories of their original self, Ansem and Xemnas went their separate ways to obtain Kingdom Hearts in their own way.
The fake Ansem would try opening the Door to Darkness to gain power and fill the entire universe with darkness after having so many worlds fall from the Heartless attacks, while Xemnas would have Keyblade wielders fight so many Heartless to release hearts that gets transported to the World that Never Was. Once he has enough hearts, he would use Kingdom Hearts to gain power and reshape the entire universe to his image where nothingness like Nobodies will be eternal.
The two half beings of Xehanort almost came close to achieving their goals of obtaining Kingdom Hearts and using its great power to either fill the universe with darkness or reshaping it to one's image, but they were thwarted, later defeated, by the recent chosen hero of the Keyblade that appeared, the hero who fought the darkness, the original Organization XIII and restored peace to many worlds, including restoring Hollow Bastion to its former name.
Everyone can already feel smiles appearing on their faces as the screen talked about the chosen hero of the Keyblade. They instantly know who it was.
The chosen hero's name of the Keyblade is Sora.
The screen showed Sora's bright grinning face with his Keyblade over his shoulder, making the smiles on everyone's faces grow bigger.
Ever since Sora gained the ability to wield a Keyblade after the Heartless attacked Destiny Islands, his home, he has come a long way. He had changed from being an uncertain inexperienced kid to being a confident powerful warrior who would not hesitate to protect other people from darkness or evil. He would risk his life to protect anyone, including his friends. This selfless trait made many of Sora's friends respect him and support him to the very end.
Everyone will continue to support Sora throughout the entire viewing and offer vocal encouragement, even though he won't be able to hear them.
However, the selfless trait of protecting other people, including friends, was a weakness Xehanort took advantage of during the final confrontation in the Keyblade Graveyard. He ordered Xemnas to abduct Kairi, a person Sora deeply cares about, from the battle and have him bring her before the old master where he would use her to give Sora motivation in the Keyblade War. When all the Organization members were defeated by the Guardians of Light, including his incarnations, Xehanort brings out an unconscious Kairi and strikes her down in front of Sora, giving him the motivation to attack him in order to forge the X-blade.
The screen showed an unconscious Kairi getting strike down by Xehanort in cold blood after he brought her out, making everyone who haven't seen the death release greatly horrified gasps. Riku and Mickey, the only two people who have seen the death first-hand, including Sora, merely clenched their fists tightly as angry expressions dawn on their faces. They could've done something to prevent it, but they had been exhausted from fighting against Xehanort's incarnations.
"Oh, my god! That is absolutely cold-hearted and cruel!" Namine yelled, tears streaming down her face as she was so horrified and appalled Xehanort would just kill Kairi in front of Sora with a cruel smirk on his face.
Everyone who were now starting to feel extremely angry agreed with what Namine said. The action Xehanort just did to Kairi was indeed absolutely cold-hearted and cruel, especially since it had been perform right in front of Sora.
In Sora's grief of seeing Kairi struck down mercilessly in cold blood, he had mindlessly done what Xehanort wanted him to do: Attacking him. Because of this, the X-blade, the true one this time, has finally been forged once again and the first thing Xehanort did after receiving the X-blade was summoning Kingdom Hearts from the darkness before opening it, thus revealing its true form.
With Kingdom Hearts and the X-blade in his command, Xehanort was ready to reshape the entire universe to his will where light and darkness are more balanced, not caring he will be condemning billions of lives to start anew.
'He almost accomplished his goal,' The Guardians of Light thought, remembering how close Xehanort was to reshape the entire universe by using the true form of Kingdom Hearts. They have just managed to stop him in time.
But Xehanort didn't get too far with his plans to reshape the entire universe to start anew and have light and darkness become more balanced because he was thwarted by the Guardians of Light who came up with a plan to contain him. By using the power to transcend through space and time against the old master, he would be sent to a place where all Keyblade wielders once trained many years ago, Scala ad Caelum, and the ultimate battle between Sora, accompanied by Donald and Goofy, and Xehanort would begin.
The screen showed the ultimate battle between Sora, who had been accompanied by Donald and Goofy since they were all best friends the moment they first met each other, and Xehanort in Scala ad Caelum from the very beginning to the end.
By the time the battle was finished, everyone had looks of extreme amazement, awe and fascination on their faces as they have never seen such a battle before in their lives, especially Master Yen Sid, who had never thought or imagine Sora could go par-to-par with Xehanort since he was a very powerful cunning Keyblade Master with decades of experience, skill and magic.
Master Yen Sid was very proud of Sora, and he would've given him the title as a Keyblade Master if he didn't used the Power of Waking to bring Kairi back.
The ultimate battle had been very intense, hard and difficult, due to Xehanort being a battle strategic genius, manipulating the entire world's battlefield to give him an edge, using teleportation to avoid attacks and having decades of experience, along with skill and magic. And he did all of this without using the X-blade until the end. But Sora, Donald and Goofy managed to prevail everything Xehanort thrown at them and finally defeated him at the top of Scala ad Caelum.
However, despite being defeated by Sora, Donald and Goofy, Xehanort still planned to reshape the entire universe to start anew and have light and darkness become more balanced by using Kingdom Hearts, which was still in his command. That way, he can become a leader, a leader who can protect the weak from polluting worlds with their endless darkness and a leader who guide the hearts of people to their destiny. But Sora tells Xehanort it's not his decision to make and gives him a piece of wisdom advice.
"A real leader knows that destiny is beyond his control and accepts that."
"That is a good piece of wisdom advice," Ansem stated in approval. Master Yen Sid agreed with him.
Hearing those words reminded Xehanort of Master Eraqus, the man he used to consider as a brother during their training days until they had a falling out from walking different paths. It was around that moment the other Guardians of Light arrived in Scala ad Caelum after battling replicas of Xehanort, much to Sora's Donald's and Goofy's surprised and happiness. Then Terra, who managed to get his body back during the clash between the Guardians of Light and the Organization, speaks to Xehanort by using words Master Eraqus once said during their training days.
"There's more to light than meets the eye. As I told you."
Master Eraqus, whose heart has been residing inside Terra for the last thirteen years after being slain, appears before Xehanort, shocking both Aqua and Ventus, and demands him to surrender the X-blade, but the old master refuses to do so, not when he's about to finally achieve his plans. However, after a few more convincing and a friendship reminder, Xehanort ultimately surrendered the X-blade to Sora, then went to join Kingdom Hearts with his old friend, not before said friend went to hug his now crying students one last time.
The screen showed the spirit of Master Eraqus coming out of Terra to appear before Xehanort and convincing him to surrender the X-blade, which he does after a few more convincing and a friendship reminder. It then showed the emotional moment of a crying Terra, Aqua and Ventus being hugged by their teacher.
In the process of Xehanort surrendering the X-blade to Sora and closing Kingdom Hearts one last time, this officially made the Keyblade War come to an end, which caused peace to reign over many worlds once again.
But despite the Guardians of Light being happy that the Keyblade War has finally ended, they were sad because Kairi wasn't with them to celebrate the hard-fought victory. The one who's taking her death the hardest was Sora. He knew there would be casualties during the war, but he didn't think it would actually happen, especially at the end when all Guardians of Light managed to prevail over the very massive army of Heartless, Nobodies and Unversed. It's…hard to accept there was a single causality in the Keyblade War.
Everyone looked greatly sad Kairi hadn't been there to celebrate the hard-fought victory with the other Guardians of Light when the Keyblade War came to an end.
Riku, in an effort to cheer Sora up, swore the Guardians of Light will find Kairi and suggested to head back to Master Yen Sid where they could possibly get a clue on her location.
While the other Guardians of Light agreed with what Riku said, Sora didn't because there was only one way to bring back Kairi, and that was using a power he had obtained throughout his third journey, a power he used multiple times in the Keyblade Graveyard to save everyone when they got killed by largest Demon Tide in existence…and a power that will unknowingly make him disappear in the end.
"Better buckle up, everyone," Fire said, getting everyone's attention after they have finished watching Sora saving the Guardians of Light when they got killed by the massive Demon Tide. "Because this is the part where you will finally learn why Sora suddenly vanished on Destiny Islands without warning."
Upon hearing this, everyone straightened in their seats and look back towards the screen, not wanting to miss even a single detail of the reason why Sora suddenly vanished on Destiny Islands without warning whatsoever.
The Power of Waking.
The Power of Waking is an ability that is used to wake up sleeping hearts, which is either a living being or a sleeping worlds. If the hearts remain in their slumber state, then the person or world can never wake up; they will continue to sleep peacefully. The Power of Waking can also be used to wake the hearts of the recently deceased, but it's a terribly dangerous action since it goes against the laws of nature.
After hearing the Power of Waking can be used to wake hearts of the recently deceased but it's a terribly dangerous action since it goes against the laws of nature, everyone, except Mickey, Master Yen Sid and Kairi, gained a foreboding feeling inside them.
The reason why is because the Power of Waking is meant to traverse hearts to reach worlds, not traverse worlds to reach hearts. If a person abuses the power, despite using it in a good way, then the said person will incur a high price for altering the course of history itself. It is a nature taboo, a forbidden act. As a result, the person will vanish from the world they originated from and be transported somewhere else while never be able to return.
At last, everyone has finally learned the reason why Sora had vanished on Destiny Islands. It was because he had been abusing the Power of Waking multiple times for awakening the hearts of the recently deceased when it was never supposed to be use in that way, only to wake sleeping hearts or worlds. This is why Sora vanished.
Needless to say…everyone was not taking the reveal very well, especially Riku, who had a greatly outrage expression on his face as he remembers Mickey saying he was the reason why Sora vanished when everyone were still at Destiny Islands before being transported to Fire's domain.
'He knew! He knew the whole fucking time!' Riku thought angrily, still retaining the greatly outrage expression on his face as he resisted the urge to stand up, walk over to Mickey and lift him out of his seat to start confronting him. 'And didn't even bother to tell me about it! If I had known this dumb power will make Sora vanish from the world he originated from, I would've stopped him before he can use it to bring Kairi back! This is all your fault, Mickey!'
As soon as the viewing was finished, Riku is intending to give Mickey a piece of his mind for not telling him about the Power of Waking and making Sora disappear into another world.
That was the price Sora incurred after abusing the Power of Waking multiple times during the clash in the Keyblade War. The younger version of Xehanort knew what Sora had done and warned him about abusing the power, but he paid the warning no mind since he thought it was a bluff. In hindsight, the spiky brunette should've listened to the warning, along with King Mickey's protest when he revealed he was going to use the Power of Waking.
"Sora, listen! The Power of Waking isn't to go chase hearts around! Even if you do locate Kairi, you might never come home to us again."
"I should've tried harder to convince Sora not to use the Power of Waking," Mickey stated, looking extremely guilty like before on Destiny Islands. "If I did, then maybe he might still be with us."
'Yeah, you should have tried harder, Mickey,' Riku thought bitterly as he glared at Mickey out of the corner of his eye. He had intended to give him a piece of his mind for not telling him about the Power of Waking and making Sora disappear into another world like he thought a couple moments ago, but after seeing the extremely guilty look, he decided it wasn't worth it. However, it wouldn't stop him from being extremely angry at Mickey. 'Or at least told me so that we both can find a way to stop Sora from using it.'
Sora knew King Mickey was looking out for him, which he greatly appreciated, but he needed to do this; his whole journey began the day when he first lost Kairi during the Heartless attack on Destiny Islands. If he doesn't use the Power of Waking right now, then she, Kairi, will be lost forever and might never be found. It could take months or years to find her, and it was something Sora's refusing to accept.
Using the Power of Waking was the only way instead of having Master Yen Sid try to locate someone who got killed.
Master Yen Sid didn't feel offended, only sorrow understanding as he knew how important Kairi was to Sora.
So, with his heart decided and mind made up, Sora departed from the Keyblade Graveyard to use the Power of Waking one last time, not before reassuring everyone, including a worried King Mickey, he will be back with Kairi.
In the end, Sora did kept his promise of returning to Destiny Islands with Kairi, but only to activate the high price he must pay for abusing the Power of Waking multiple times.
Right after Sora departed from the Keyblade Graveyard, the other Guardians of Light returned to their home worlds and began celebrating the hard-fought victory with each group doing their own thing. Lea, Roxas, Xion, previous members of the original Organization, ate sea-salt ice cream bars on top of the clock tower in Twilight Town where they watched the sunset in the distance before they were joined by Hayner, Olette, Pence and Isa. They would all eventually become very great friends and continued to hang out in this spot throughout the future.
Roxas, Lea, Xion, Isa and the Twilight Town gang couldn't agree more of becoming very great friends and continuing to hang out at the spot on top of the clock tower in Twilight Town throughout the future upon seeing themselves celebrating on the screen.
Meanwhile, Terra, Ventus and Aqua went back to the Land of Departure, another place where Keyblade wielders train after Scala ad Caelum fell into darkness, to honor the memory of Master Eraqus. Even though they don't have a tombstone to write initials, they used the Keyblade Master Eraqus wielded, Master's Defender, as a tombstone and decorated it with bundles of flowers, along with the three Wayfinders Aqua made. After paying their respects to their deceased master's grave, Terra, Ventus and Aqua headed back to the castle to reforge the bonds they severed thirteen years ago and along the way, they gained a new friend named Chirithy.
Despite already paying their respects to the memory of Master Eraqus, Terra, Ventus and Aqua couldn't help but do it again after seeing themselves on the screen. Everyone else, including Fire, followed their actions to pay respects as well.
King Mickey, Donald, Goofy and Master Yen Sid went back to Disney Castle where Queen Minnie, Daisy, Chip and Dale awaited their arrival. Minnie was extremely happy to see Mickey alive, even shedding a tear, and had been about to rush over when Pluto, Mickey's dog, beat her to the punch. The dog jumped onto his master and gave him many excited licks, much to Donald's and Goofy's great incredulously as they went over to calm the dog down. Mickey, however, only became amused and gave Pluto a pat on the head before taking Minnie's hands, finally reuniting with her. Daisy also reunited with Donald, but she gave him an extremely displeased look first before hugging him.
All the girls in the room smiled at the reunion between Mickey and Minnie. It was such both emotional and romantic.
The guys, on the other hand, were snickering at Donald's reunion with Daisy after seeing the extremely displeased look she gave him, earning themselves a glare from him.
Soon, the Guardians of Light finished their own celebrations in their home worlds and went to Destiny Islands where they would wait for Sora and Kairi to return. During that time, they had been enjoying the peacefulness and doing their own thing, which is either running around the island, making sand sculptures, collecting sea shells near the beach, playing a game of frisbee or just standing around and watching the events being played.
It's been a great day to enjoy doing fun activities after the Keyblade War ended.
It didn't take long for Sora and Kairi to finally appear on Destiny Islands after succeeding in bringing the latter back to the living. Both were sitting on the small island where the paopu fruit was and currently enjoying watching the beautiful sunset. Everyone eventually noticed Sora and Kairi sitting on the small island but chose to watch them in silence as they didn't want to interrupt the romantic moment, despite some wanting to go over there and hug them.
Unfortunately, all good things, such as the romantic moment between Sora and Kairi, had to come to an end.
"Here comes the part where Sora vanished after he and Kairi appears on Destiny Islands," Fire stated, making the Guardians of Light, Isa and the Twilight Town gang become sad as they would have to watch Sora vanish once again.
Meanwhile, the newcomers felt their eyes becoming wide as they're about to witness Sora vanishing from Destiny Islands, the world he originated from.
Since Sora used the Power of Waking one last time to bring Kairi back, he had activated the high price that will make him vanish from the world he originated from, which was Destiny Islands. That was exactly what happened to him after spending a few more moments with Kairi, shocking everyone on the island, except her who knew about Sora's tragic fate.
Silence have reign over the room as everyone stared at the spot where Sora had previously been sitting until he had slowly vanished away from Destiny Islands. While half the people were still sad of seeing him vanish, others were shocked as they couldn't believe what they just saw.
Even though many of his friends would become upset when they learned he was gone, particularly Donald, Goofy, Roxas, Xion and Ventus as they had the closest connection to him, Sora had no regrets for what he had done. Though, he did wish he could see Kairi's smile one last time. Seeing it makes him smile as well. But there was one question Sora wanted to know.
Where exactly was Sora being transported to?
"And that, everyone, concludes the first episode of the viewing," Fire stated as he waved his hand twice from his spot against the wall. One hand wave made the lights of the chandeliers to brighten up and the other have pause the television.
"Man, what a viewing," Terra stated, feeling mentally exhausted as he lean backwards in his seat. He wasn't the only person feeling mentally exhausted as everyone else were. "And we only just gotten started on the first episode."
"Yeah, I wonder what the other episodes of the viewing will be like," Ventus said as he wonders if the other episodes of the viewing will be good or bad.
"I would suggest using this break time I'm giving you to process everything you have just learned, stretch your legs and regain your composure," Fire said, getting everyone's attention. "All of you are still feeling highly emotional from seeing Kairi getting struck down and learning that the Power of Waking cannot be used on people's decreased hearts since it's only meant to wake sleeping hearts or worlds. Once you process everything you have learned, stretch your legs and regain your composure, I will start the second episode."
Everyone nodded before doing what Fire suggested. They were going to need a clear mind, a calm personality and the mental energy to handle the second episode of the viewing.
And done! That's the ending of the chapter! Everyone has watched the very first episode of Kingdom Evil Remake 2 and has finally learned the reason why Sora vanished on Destiny Islands. It was because he had been abusing the Power of Waking multiple times. They are not taking this reveal very well, especially Riku, who is greatly pissed at Mickey for knowing about it and didn't bother to tell him.
Next chapter will be everyone watching the second episode after they process everything they learned, stretch their legs and regain their composure since they are highly emotional.
